Problems downloading television shows.

So, since Tuesday, I've had problems downloading TV shows. I tried downloading two shows that I have season passes for on Tuesday, and one of them dissipeared and the other went into where it should be in the TV shows section, but had it's time listed as "not available", and when I selected it iTunes crashed. I went into the files and tried to find them, it turned out that they were still in the "downloads" folder, I deleted them, and tried downloading a free video from the iTunes store, and it didn't work either. Oddly enough, songs and video podcasts do seem to download properly, but I haven't tried downloading games or movies, because I don't want to waste money.
Can anyone help me, please?

  • Previously downloaded television shows missing

Okay I've looked for the past hour and I still can't find my answer.
A couple of my television shows that I bought rougly three years ago or more won't appear anywhere except in itunes. I can't get them to load in my apple tv nor on my ipad. I even went to itunes under the new purchased section to see if they reappear, but they don't.  They were not free nor illegally downloaded. I can't understand why none of my apple products are recognizing my older purchases.
    Thanks!

This may not play out, but a second ago when a movie download got interrupted and when I resumed and checked for purchases, it is now showing a download of Babylon 5 episode I bought a few weeks ago that is twice the filesize of the one I successfully downloaded previously.
Hopefully I won't be disappointed but it appears that checking for purchases will download the higher res version after it's been updated which I presume will be a rolling process over a couple months. They may also stagger what you can update for bandwidth concerns on their end.
Anyway- appears to be good news.

  • Problems Downloading TV Show - Time Remaining Increasing

I recently bought a 2.45 GB TV show episode off of the iTunes store. Unfortunately, it is taking an extremely long time to download. After downloading for several hours it has only accomplished about 100 KB, and it shows no signs of speeding up. Even worse, the time remaining keeps increasing, and is currently surpassing 2,000 hours. Once it reaches around 10,000 hours, it resets and begins increasing once again. Past TV episode downloads have gone smoothly and efficiently. Can anyone help diagnose this issue and possibly solve it?
    Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks for your response. The TV show and Movie's sizes seem to correspond with how large they are supposed to be (as stated on the iTunes store).
I have been able to download songs normally, but I havn't attempted any new TV shows/movies.

there's no pblm with my connection but this error keeps on showing,
    what to do? please help....

Stop with the silly and pointless fonts.
A simple search of the forums for the actual error would have revealed the resolution.
Temporarily disable all security software on the computer.

  • Problem with downloading TV show with error message 8008

I added money to my account then bought 2 songs. But when I bought a TV show video, error message 8008 pops up saying
[ There was a problem downloading "strange illusions/ celebracadabra, season 1/ celebracadabra"
Parts of the file seems to be corrupt. To redownload the file, choose "Check for Purchases" at the Store menu ]
Now I already did that but the message doesn't change. Is there a problem with my computer or the file? And do I get my money back if I can't get all of it downloaded?
    Thank you

    Contact iTunes Store support:-
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
State the Category as "Downloading" and the Sub-Category as "I continually receive an error message..."
Then explain the issue to them and make sure you state the error code.

The iPod's screen indicates that the iPod is connected?
In Windows, the iPod will not appear as removable storage, unless it is set in iTunes to Enable disk use.  By default, it is NOT set to Enable disk use.
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  When the iPod is connected, it should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  It does not appear there?

  • TS1696 I purchased and downloaded an episode of a television show onto my MacBook pro, as I have done before, but this one plays without audio. What gives?

I purchased and downloaded an episode of a television show onto my MacBook pro, as I have done before, but this time it only plays without audio. What gives?

Okay, so the download is possibly corrupt.  Did you try downloading again?
Also, you'll likely get more appropriate responses posting to the iTunes for MAC forum instead of the iTunes for Windows forum where this currently is.

  • Problem Downloading + Missing TV Shows on iPod

Both of these problems are very annoying - as I'm sure many feel, I'd gladly give up the eye-candy for a working version of iTunes (such as version 6).
My first problem deals with downloading music or movies from iTunes. When I first downloaded smaller songs, I noticed that if I continued to browse for more music at the store while downloads were running, they would fail after the download completed, while iTunes was "processing" the file. I would get error messages claiming that the disk could not be read from or written to - first time that had ever happened. (As a side note, my iTunes library is stored on an external FireWire drive). I went to the downloads list and checked for available downloads - all of the files started downloading from the beginning. Albeit annoying, I suppose I can gather up a group of songs and stop shopping for more music when I decide to download them. That work-around does not work at all for larger files. The downloads are stalling mid-way through the transfer - I can restart them only to find them fail (again, after the download completes, during the "processing" stage) with an error such as this:
There was a problem downloading "The Best of Dana Carvey / Saturday Night Live - The Best of Dana Carvey / Saturday Night Live". The disk could not be read from or written to.
Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again.
Listed in the download list I now see this error:
zero KB of 1.02 GB - stopped (err = -36)
I've tried downloading this file 3 times now - failing every single time. I also noticed that I have been billed for this, even though I cannot download it to enjoy the video. Excellent.
My second problem is that many episodes of my TV Shows are completely missing on my iPod. They are visible (but hardly playable: stuttering, unsync'd audio and video) on my Mac Mini. (Videos played perfectly under iTunes 6.) Any thoughts on getting these TV Shows back on my iPod?
The most frustrating part is that I had a great, wonderfully working system. This upgrade has destroyed my confidence in upgrading if I do not have a system-halting problem - I'll give up some new features to have a system that can deliver purchased music / video in a playable format on my PC and iPod. iTunes 7 is currently a huge failure in every shape and form.
Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Any updates??

  • Downloading content to use with apple tv on television, can you download multiple shows and then watch them later or just one at a time, watch then download the next one??  If multiple downloads are possible how does one do it?

I just received apple tv as a present this Christmas and the shows take too long to download when I want to watch them.  Can I download multiple shows overnight or during day and watch them in the evening??  If so how?

    The ATV stores no content.
Content can be downloaded to iTunes on a computer and then streamed to the ATV via HomeSharing.

  • How to finish downloading a purchased television show

I purchased the first season of 24 a couple of days ago. I have been downloading it a little at a time for the past two days.
Usually when I open iTunes, it asks for my password and then immediately starts downloading the shows I have not finished.
Tonight it will not download or ask me for the password to finish the download.
How do I get the rest of the shows without purchasing them again?
    Thanks.

Menu Store -> Check for purchases.
