Problems exporting contacts

Hi guys.  I have a P1i and can't seem to export my phonebook contacts from this phone to an external source like a PC or new phone (Nokia).  Can you guys help me out.  Thanks.

I used to be able export my contacts from my old nokia using this method:
1. Go to contacts
2. Go to "options"
3. Select "Mark All"
4. Go to "Options"
5. Select "Send to"
6. Select "Bluetooth"
7. Select device
8. Send
It used to work and I would have all the contacts sent to my PC as .vcf files or business cards when sent to another nokia phone.  From my PC I could then send the contacts to my P1i.
But it doesn't seem to wok the other way around.

  • Problem exporting contacts into Numbers

I am able to drag and drop contacts into Numbers where it creates a table with all the information.
However, in the Address book several people have multiple 'work' phone numbers, or multiple 'emails'. This means that when the contact is dragged into Numbers, Numbers only recognises the first 'work' number, and doesn't include the second 'work number'.
For example, Bobby has work number: 0758694338557 and another work number: 0795338663546. Both of these are present in contacts, but when dragged into numbers, only 0758694338557 is visible under the column(field) titled work number.
Any suggestions on how I can get two 'work' numbers under the same field name, to be present in Numbers

  • How do you export contacts from iphone 3g to car

I have a 2009 MB C300 sport.  I paired the phone with no problem.  I can't export contacts to the car.  Nor can I manually enter the contacts using the buttons on the car's panel.

iPhone only supports PBAP(phone book access profile). If your vehicle's bluetooth system does not support PBAP as well, there is no way to make your contacts available.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given your very brief description, I've no real idea exactly what you are attempting, nor with what. So, I'll just go to the beginning...please see this KB for instructions as to how to export your contacts to a CSV file, which Excel can then import:

Note that this requires the V6 level of the RIM Desktop Software...that function was removed starting with V7. If you don't have V6, then you can obtain it here:

my problem is as follows :-
I was having Nokia N97 mobile and I am now having OVI suite 3.0.0.290 installed on my laptop, the problem is that I was synchronizing contacts between mobile and OVI suite only and the option selected in syncing contacts options is "Don't Sync" and not Microsoft outlook"" and not "microsoft outlook express".
The problem now is that my mobile was stolen and when I opened OVI suite without connecting my N97 stolen mobile I found the contacts there and I can edit and manage anyone of them as much as I can but I can't export them out of OVI suite.
So does anyone have the knowledge on how to export the contacts saved on OVI suite without connecting the mobile to it?

  • Problem Importing Contacts from CSV to Outlook 365 Home Premium

I have exported contacts from gmail to Outlook CSV format, unable to import to Outlook 365.  Error suggests:
There was a problem importing your contacts.
Phone numbers and websites can only contain English characters (a-z or A-Z), numbers (0-9), and specific symbols (such as @). Please try again.
I exported from Outlook 365 a CSV file and column by column copy/value pasted the data from the gmail generated file to the Outlook 365 (People) CSV and saved.  I also searched for any such vaguely referenced trouble spot character and removed anything
that feel out of description (I didn't find anything obvious)
characters left in place on emails were (underscore _), characters left in several phone numbers were (comma's , (pause prompts)).  I may have a phone number or 2 that also contain the English character "x".
    Please help

    Hi,
Make sure you exported the Gmail contacts as Outlook CSV format.
In addition, you can also try exporting the contacts as the vCard format, test if it can be imported into Outlook properly.
If you deleted the column of phone, import the contacts into Outlook, will the same error show up?
If you have an Outlook.com account, you can try import the contacts to Outlook.com, create the Outlook.com account in Outlook, after the contacts sync completes, move the contacts to the target account.

  • Outlook 2011 problem syncing contacts with address book

I am aware that Lion has broken the sync ability of Outlook 2011 with Address Book. Hopefullly this will be fixed at some point.
So my problem is that I have decided to use a workaround to get my Address Book contents into Outlook 2011. I am not concerned with further syncing at this point. I just want to get my addresses into Outlook and hope a better fix is offered at some point.
About the only way I could figure out how to do this was to export my Address Book as vCard. I then imported the vCard file into Gmail and then exported that as a CSV file. It contained 550 addresses. I opened it in Excel and it contained 550 rows. Great so far.
I then Imported into Outlook 2011 and chose import a text file. When the mapping window opened, it showed over 890 files instead of 550 and the fields were not mapped correctly. I could not complete the import because it was so screwed up.
So I'm back to square one and very frustrated. There must be others who have the same issue and maybe have figured out a way to do this. Please help.

Having a problem exporting my contacts from Address Book into either Numbers or Excel.  Any help would be great!

  • Export contacts and calendar to microsoft outlook

How do I export contacts and calendar to microsoft outlook?  Everything is correct on icloud and my phone but outlook calendar and contacts got wiped out.  Perhaps during a retore of the phone?  I've tried all sorts of setting changes with the help of IT but nothing works.  Using an export function from icloud only exports one contact at a time even thought I select all. When I use the icloud control panel to write a file, it bombs out regardless of whether I select all contacts and calendars or selected ones.  At one point I accidentally merged contacts and calendar entries (double and quadruple contacts).  I've manually corrected both contacts and calendar entries on icloud so that it and my phone are now correct, but the outlook contacts and calendar are remain empty and will not sync.  I've spent days on this debarkle.

same problem here. let me know if you find a solution.

  • EIS Problem: Exporting OLAP to XML

Hi everyone,We are having some problems exporting our OLAP models to XML from within EIS (using the XML Import/Export function). We receive the following error:"Error -1: Contact your EIS administrator because the Java runtime environment may not be set appropriately on the server machine...java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/crimson/tree/XmlDocument at hisjapi.HISModel.exportXML(HISModel.java:1085)"The machine is running Windows 2003 server. We actually had a hyperion consultant in yesterday working with us but he was unsure how to correct this error.Any help greatly appreciated!!Many thanks,Brian

I had a similar problem and fould that if I stopped and restarted the EIS service, I could do the exports. I've also read elsewhere that stopping the EIS server from running as a service and running it in foregraound helps, but have not proven that yet. I do have a problem importing the metadata xml files to another server thatI am working with support on. I will let you know the results. (Version 7.1)

    i'm still waiting
there are a couple things here.
you may have corruption in your file system.  is it because of the items you intstalled and then uninstalled?  i dunno.  but if your contacts and calendar are backed up, then i would reinstall the os with NSU then see if it persists.
on the other hand, you sent a message, on a FREE forum, where nice people may help you with YOUR problems, but if you are only going to wait 1 hour before you post again, about how YOU are still waiting, you may still continue to wait.
remember, people here are willing to help others for FREE becuase they take the time to come here and do so, since they play with thier units enough to trouble shoot and share thier information, if you want service now, go pay for it.
    i hope that helped.
now, while you may not kudo this post, even though it did give you legitimate information, if there is anyone that has read this and agrees, feel free to kudo in support of the above.

  • Exporting contacts from webex connect?

Does anyone know of a way to export contacts and groups from webex connect?
I have way to connect with pidgin and get them into the pidgin contact file then put script together to make a CSV to import into IM&P for each user. I'm looking for a better way to do this with WebEx connect or the Cisco webex connect/jabber client directly if possible. On the Cisco webex connect admin web tool there is not a way to export contacts in mass either. I'm thinking of opening ticket with them to get a export of all users contacts hopefully.
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPhone App

Replying to my own post... for the better of the communirty here. I reached out to WebEx and there is no way to export contacts from WebEx Connect and they don't have a way either currently. Left to third party clients and piecing your own solution (script) together currently and running it with each user manually.
Would be nice if they would add Export/Import Contacts option to the Jabber client then when you imported contacts it pushed them to the server from client PC instead of an admin having to bulk import a bunch of user contacts.
