  • Can't send documents created in pages and exported in windows word format

    Created a document in Pages then exported them into a Windows Word format to my desktop then opened Mail and attached the document to Mail. Whenever I hit the send button I get an error message: "syntax argument error." My ISP is yahoo. They researched the problem and stated it has to be a Mail problem. Anyone out there had this problem? How did you rectify it?
    Thanks anything will help...

    Does sound like a mail problem. You could try right clicking on the file & create archive of ... This will create a zip file. Try sending the zip file.
    Do you have another account? Try that.
    Try another mail program like thunderbird.

  • WebLogic Server - Problem encoding file MS Word in jsp

    Hi, i'm new in this forum...sorry for my english but i don't speak it very well...
    I have a problem with encoding of a MS Word file (with WebLogic Server 8.1.4).....I have this file stored in a DB Oracle like a BLOB...then I extract this file and I obtain the bytes of this file....than i write this byte in my ServletOutputStream so that i can see this word document from my jsp page in word format....until now everithing is ok...MS Word is open....but in the file the character are not encoded....are like this
    "ÐÏ à¡± á ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ "....... why i can't see it correctly???
    What I don't understand is thas:
    1)in the same page with a pdf (even this extract as byte from oracle column BLOB) works fine
    2)with the same web application deployed on a tomcat server everithings work fine (with doc,xls....)
    3)I think that every settings is ok....
    in the jsp file
    response.setContentType("application/msword");
    response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=test.doc");
    in web.xml
    <mime-mapping>
    <extension>doc</extension>
    <mime-type>application/msword</mime-type>
    </mime-mapping>
    in weblogic.xml (I have read this in a forum)
    <jsp-descriptor>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>encoding</param-name>
    <param-value>UTF-8</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    <jsp-param>
    <param-name>compilerSupportsEncoding</param-name>
    <param-value>false</param-value>
    </jsp-param>
    </jsp-descriptor>
    The file that i obtain is not encode but is corret....infact if i make a compare (with a program "Beyond Compare" that meka a compare with the character not encoded like "ÐÏ à¡± á ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ") between the file that I obtain and the original file....everithing is equal...so the file is ok....but i can't open this correctly and visualize it correctly in word format!
    Please help me.....thanks so much

    i was able to solve it by clearing the output stream (jsp page - out.clear() ) before using it, even resetting the jsp response does the trick..
    thanks,

  • Problems exporting files

    I'm new to using Flash (I'm using Flash Professional CS5) and am having problems exporting my files.
    While the files will export as .mov files, when I try to play the files they're simply a blank white or black screen.
    Any help or ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

    The most likely reason is that you are attempting to export a muxed mpeg file. QT will not export sound from such files. QT Mpeg Limitations
    This freeware will export to a number of different formats from mpeg with the sound and video intact. Mpeg StreamClip

  • Please, I need help - How can I generate a text file with Word format?

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com ,
    is it possible for me to create a text file - that is, with TEXT_IO.fopen, and so on - that's already formatted as a Word document?
    We have a Forms program here, where it's needed to generate a text file with .RTF format, 8 centimeters margin, Times New Roman font, with size 7.
    Best regards,
    Franklin Goncalves Jr.

    Hello Shay,
    sincere thanks for your answer. And, to answer your last question, I'm using client-server model.
    Since I couldn't create this .RTF file by using built-ins like TEXT_IO, I tried to generate an .RTF file using Reports, passing the parameters DESTYPE, DESNAME and DESFORMAT, as shown below.
    add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESTYPE', text_parameter, 'FILE');
    add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESNAME', text_parameter, 'c:\franklin.rtf');
    add_parameter (pl_id, 'DESFORMAT', text_parameter, 'RTF');
    However, the just generated .RTF file is uncomprehensible. After opening the file at Microsoft Word, I can see the following message at the top of file:
    This file was created by Oracle Reports. Please view this document in Page Layout mode.
    ... and informations doesn't appear as desired.
    If I can't generate such text format by using TEXT_IO, and if generating an .RTF file through Reports shows me an incomprehensible result, how can I export the selected result to an .RTF file?
    When Reports is opened, choosing Generate to file -> RTF doesn't export anything.
    Thanks, and best regards,
    Franklin Goncalves Jr.

  • Problem exporting HDV to NTSC format

    Hello!
    I have a problem exporting my HDV timeline to NTSC 48Khz format. I simply open the timeline and click Export as Quicktime Movie and choose NTSC format 48Khz format and keep everything else the same.
    It exports, but then all of a sudden it stops 3/4`s of the way through and only captures it to there, not to the end. This is leaving me really really confused!
    Any ideas what is wrong?

    Make sure there's no in or out points selected in the timeline window. If it fails again with those gone, it's likely a media file it hits when it stops... about the same precentage in from the head of the sequence.

  • Export file in specified format for printing labels etc (BOnewbee question)

    Hello to all,
    has anyone experiences with generating a export file in special text-format to a directory???.
    Is ist possible to generate this file after some action in BO?? (Printing delivery form and after that generate file for printing barcodelabel in special application???)
    Sorry, but i dont have any programming experiences in BO - only in SAP R/3 with ABAP.
    Thanks in advance for your replies!

    There are a number of ways to do this.  You could use the SDK to trap an event and then automate your barcode printing from .net.  You could also use middleware (iBolt, K2, biztalk, etc) You might also write a SQL DTS job with an associated trigger to save out a text file.
    I guess the answer to your question depends on how big your company is, how spread out your IT resources are and what technical resources you have to dedicate to the project.

  • Problems Exporting Report to Word

    Hi,
    We are using the crystals reports bundled with VS2005 targetting .Net Framework 2.0, for a web based application. On some development PCs(Windows XP Sp3) and some ISS servers(IIS 6.0 and Windows Server 2003 R2(SP2) where the application is hosted we have a problem exporting the report is exported to word (programmatically using eportDocument.ExportToHttpResponse). Export to PDF and Excel on the PCs/server worls fine. This problem happens to all the reports in the system.
    The problem is that the window opens and closes and we don't get to see the word document. But the same report when exported to word from the export option in the Crystal Report viewer, it works fine. Also on two of our Windows 2003 server with SP2 the export to word is working fine.
    Please can you help us resolve this issue.

  • Problems exporting files using xFire video clips

    Hi - first time posting.
    I recently started using XFire to record videogame footage from my PC. I would then take the clips into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and edit them, and now I'm ready to export them so I can re-edit them (because editing with the xfire codec is quite a hassle) and ultimately upload them.
    In this particular example, I'm exporting to the HuffYUV format - this is what happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jHBhpl_3G0
    This clip is 90 seconds long, exported in the HuffYUV codec, 360x240 (to keep the file size down) - but as you can see, at around 0:54 and then again at 1:15, the video would freeze, rendering the clip unuseable.
    I've tried various formats and sizes - I'm trying to export at 1440x960, and I've tried HuffYUV, Lagarith, Raw (No Codec), MicrosoftVideo1, etc - most of them, when I make a 30sec clip, it works fine, but when I make the 90sec clip, most of them would start having the frozen frames at ~2 seconds in, but all the file formats do eventually have a frozen frames.
    I've tried converting the xfire video clips BEFORE putting them into Premiere by using Media Coder (not the Adobe one), but the result looks something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8LEO3fGSaM&t=0m17s - you can see horizontal interference as well as a lot of jumpy frames
    I just got this computer a few months ago - I'm using Windows 8, 64-bit, 16gb of ram.
    So, what's happening? What's the best way for me to fix this? Thanks in advance.

  • Converting a PDF file to Word format issue

    I am using Adobe Reader XI 11.0.09 with the paid side bar to convert the pdf file to an editable Word 2007 format. The problem is that the formatting after conversion is really bad and getting worse, example of the most recient: "I n  a cont ingent circumstance, an effect  results  from  clearly definable causes, t hough t he effect could be  different, given an entirel y  possible and  different interrelation of  causes. In   short, a  contingent  event   or thi ng is a nonnecessa ry event or thi ng tha t either might  not  exist or could  be other than it is."
    The conversion in the past was never this bad and I was hoping it was some setting but I have not found a way to tweak the settings in the converter. I have converted many pdf files and had no problems with the outcome of the conversion until recently.
    Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem Exporting.. (WMV FORMAT)

    Can anyone help?
    I am new to Final Cut Pro 6 and I have just finished my first video for my company that we plan to put on our website. The video uses 4 Video Tracks and 5 Audio Tracks. Currently I have the the video finalized and save in final cut pro. I would like to export the video to a wmv format (what the 3rd party video host is asking for) at 300 kb/sec rate.
    When I go to File>Export>Using Quicktime Conversion>
    and change the format to WINDOWS MEDIA and hit save.. I get an error stop sign with an exclamation point saying 'Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate-- The media you are exporting contains audio with multiple sample rate'
    What do I need to do to correct this so I can export it as a wmv?
    Whoever can help thank you I am very VERY frustrated and need to get this done.
    Victoria
    Any help is appreciated.
    Please email me too at [email protected]

    I had this problem and it is a bug in the Flip4Mac program. They did fix the bug. You have to download a patch from Flip4Mac's web site. here is the e-mail they sent me:
    Dear Customer:
    The recent release of QuickTime 7.2 created an audio compression error for Flip4Mac WMV Studio, Studio Pro and Studio Pro HD customers. Specifically, when encoding WMV files with Flip4Mac WMV v.2.1.2 using uncompressed audio sources on QuickTime 7.2 systems, customers were receiving "Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate" error and the encode will fail. This problem has been resolved with the beta release of Flip4Mac WMV v2.1.33. If you are using QuickTime 7.2, please upgrade to this release at http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_beta.htm.
    If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]
    Thank you for your patience.

  • Not able to export files in any format from PP 5.5 new installation.

    Hi all.
    Hoping someone can help. I just recentlyinstalled a full licensed education version of CS5.5. I was previously running a trial version. I have been trying to export a project, yet everytime I try and export, it crashes at around 2%. I have tried a number of different export formats and have adjusted the codecs to settings that I knew worked in the trial version. It just comes up with an "Unexplained error".
    it's driving me nuts as I have to get this file output.
    the file I am trying to output is 2 hours and 10 mins long, although I'm pretty sure the length would not cause an issue as it exported fine in the trial version.
    has anyone encountered something similar or can anyone please offer a solution or advice.
    thank you in advance.
