Problems faced by me using the 5700
I bought the nokia 5700 a month ago and it has been this way since then. I face a few problems which i wish were added in a update for the firmware by nokia. Is there anyway to inform nokia about this?
Problems faced by me:
1)In the log after switchin the mobile on and after about a day or two when i call from the log i.e pressing green button on a contact or going into options and selecting voice call. Nothing happens. No call can be made from the log. It is very annoying cause everyone directly calls from the log upon seeing the miss call... Though the call can be made from the contacts list and everywhere else, u can dial a number and call. The problem is just with the log(fixed by turning the mobile off then on but eventually the same thing happens)
2)The time and date when set as a screensaver does not appear all the time, the screen maybe blank or time maybe shown.
3)This is going to be very weird, i have a habit of just seeing emergency numbers such as 911 and 112 appear when the phone is locked, when i dial these keys sometimes the numbers appear and sometimes they dont.(again fixed by turning the mobile off then on)
4)This is the BIGGEST FLAW FOR THE 5700 FOR ME, if you have noticed (i dont know abt other 5700's but this is the case with mine) in the log if you have contacts having numbers which can be divided into home ,mobile,etc. When you see the log no matter wherever the call came from you see a mobile icon.This again is very annoying cause you dont come to know where the call came from and after a miss call, u would have to go in options, use number, edit number and then see it. Or by calling and seeing the number for a brief moment. So you can accidentally dial at someones home though you dont want to and even they didnt call from their home.
Anyone having these problems?
Nokia 5700 has been out for 3 months over here i guess we deserve updates for the firmware. Dont we?
And though i get these problems i can still say with dignity that 5700 is cool.
btw If i format do i lose any themes installed on the phone memory? Cause i downloaded this theme from nokia once and you dont get it any more for some odd reason.
Go to Nokia Service nearet your location. Ask them for a solution.

Problem? I'm not even sure what your problem is, much less whether it's a problem with the phone or the carrier. -
We bought an iphone 4s for our daughter. We transfered it to straight talk. She can make calls and text no problem. She can use the WiFi but is unable to use the internet or mms. How do we update the APN?
To clarify for anyone who is still having any problems doing this.
1. Unlock your phone with the carrier ( I know the process will work if it is jail broken but I am assuming you dont want to void the warranty on your phone) NOTE: even if you purchased the phone outright at Wal-Mart it is still locked to ATT so you will have to unlock the phone. If it's already unlocked skip to step 2. This works and will work even if you update the phone.

2. Get a T- mobile SIM. Even if you don't want the service, if you feign interest, they will send you one for free or 99cents. If you need it now you can get one at a T-mobile store too.

So here's my problem. I just used the "reset all settings" option, and accidentaly restored an old backup. It deleted all my photos and contacts, but for some reason I still have all the apps from after the backup date,and it also kept the notes from after the backup. The "reset all settings" option clearly says no loss of data or media, so I don't understand why some stuff got deleted. My question is, is there a way to get it back?
If you still can find a recent backup listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, use this one to restore from.
If there are no recent backups listed, your data is gone. Only if you included the iTunes backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could be able to restore this folder and find one of your latest backups listed again.

Problems while uploading files using the FileReference API
I've built an image uploader module in Flex using the FileReference API and PHP.
While this works perfect for images upto 1 MB, What I'm noticing is that for images greater that 1 MB even after the Event.COMPLETE has triggered, the file hasn't yet been uploaded into the folder.. its only after a couple of seconds or minutes after the Event.COMPLETE, that the image actually shows up in the FTP folder. Morever I also noticed that for such files the DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA that we are using to get feedback from PHP never gets called.
I thought it would be related to the PHP script getting timed out... but the PHP script does get executed and the images do show up in the folder but thats way after the Event.Complete has been triggered and more importantly DataEvent.UPLOAD_COMPLETE_DATA doesnt get called.
Everything seems to work fine as long as the file size is under 1 MB
Did others too face similar problems and any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks in advanceI don't believe there is, as the browse button renders out as an html input type file component, and this has no ability to get native file size from the client. The only way to do it is to check the file size server side, but that kind of defeats the purpose to some extent, as the file is required to be uploaded before the file size can be checked.
There is no way to do this on the client short of using a third party client side component - ie. java, flash or some other active component that gets file system level access.

I have configured the connector on the WAS as needed.
The problem is that when I run the application I receive an Unauthorized error on the connector URL.
If I open this URL on a browser I receive a pop-up for UID and PWD and when I enter the same UID and PWD I used to configure the connector I am able to login and see the WSDL.
Any ideas?I've never tried using BI in WebDynpro !!!

Many problems of memory, when using the workbench - LC 8.2

When a try to add a component in the workbench, I get an outOfMemoreException in the log file. There is an error message in a popup in the workbench.

I did what you told:
- the mysql Jar version was already the mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar (may be due to update SP2),
- I changed to adobe-ds.xml file,
- I tried to launch the workbench with -Xmx512m in the command line.
Here is the result:
1- the launch of the workbench isa bit faster.
2- when I try to login with the administrator account, it takes a long while. Then I get an error: I can not logon to the livecycle ES server from the workbench. The message is "Authentication for user administrator on server ... failed, please retry".
In my log file, I get the following.

Problem facing in performance of the query which calls one function

AshisYou are checking for the existence of detail records. What is the purpose of this. Most applications I know rely on normal foreign key constraint to ensure parent-child relationsships.
The select is slow for two reasons.
reason one) You count all details records when you only need to know if one detail records exists or not.
reason two) Multiple context switches between sql and pl/sql for each row of your parent table

Problem Monitoring on TV using the Canvas
I'm learning the process for monitoring a clip/sequence from the timeline/viewer/canvas on a CRT TV.
I captured from tape and was able to view on TV -- using either the Viewer or the Canvas. Then somewhere along the way -- probably when I did some color correction -- I was no longer able to get the clip/sequence to play on the TV using the Canvas; I was still able to do so via the Viewer.
I then noticed that a re-render was needed; I did so but still am only able to monitor through the Viewer, and not the Canvas.
Any tips for understanding what I'm doing wrong?

In this older doc, Step 9 says to, "Drag the file named "Final Cut Express POA Cache" to the Trash."
I'm running v3.5 and I don't have a file named "Final Cut Express POA Cache": I do have "Final Cut Express Prof Cache.fcpch.
Would you please guide me this last step so I don't create a different problem?

Problem in tree while using the HTML format in the lable

DefaultTreeCellRenderer is not working properly if we pass the string as a html format inside the DefaultMutableTreeNode. Using the below code snipet you can cleraly identify the problem.
Kindly compile &execute the below code.All the lable's will be painted properly according to the color code that i've mentioned.
After that please uncomment al the DefaultMutableTreeNode variables corresponding to html tag representation and comment the already existing DefaultMutableTreeNode variables .

SivabalanThen I guess the problems come with setting explicit foreground colours on the one hand and using html on the other, even when not specifying them in the html. Stick to one or the other, I suppose. I'm not a fan of using html in labels so I don't know what problems you might run into.
I've got rid of setForeground in the renderer and set the font colour in html. Then it is stable:

Problem creating PDF file using the Adobe PDF printer
Apologies if I have hit the wrong forum for this issue.
I am using Adode Acrbat 9 PRO version 9.4.6 on a Windows 7 SP1 machine.
I am running an application that presents information on web pages that I need to capture as pdf files. I am using an automation tool so it is limiting my posibilities of accomplishing this task.
I am attempting to use the Adobe PDF printer as the vehicle to create these PDF files but have encountered the following issues
The page is truncated on the right hand side
Only 1 page is created when I was expecting 7
I have specified a file path for the ADOBE PDF Output Folder ... C:\Windows\Temp and
checked the box "Add document information" but I am not given the opportuniy to enter a file name. It is using the file name from the URL
To verify my PDF content I used a different method to create the PDF from the same web page
Right click within the web page and select Convert to Adobe PDF. The pdf file has the full content with no truncation and is 7 pages in total.
Unfortunately I am unable to use this method with my automation tool

I changed the page orientation to landscape and that removed the truncation. I am not sure why it is not using the "shrink to fit" but for the purposes of this exercise I can live with this solution.
If I click Print Preview I can view all pages and then if I select the Print Icon I get a PDF file containing all pages. This is so bizarre.
So to recap
File > Print > Adobe PDF Printer only creates 1 page
File > Print Preview > Print Document (Alt +P) > Print >Adobe PDF Printer creates 7 pages
I guess this would be a good time to call support to see what they have to say on this topic. -

Problem of displaying data using the two RFMs

I have an application:
a) Displaying of table using BAPI1
b) Updating the same table and returning the status whether the updation was successful or not.
for this we have two BAPIs:
1. BAPI 1: Two import parameters are imported and some export parameters are displayed.
2.BAPi 2 : In this rows under the export parameters of BAPI 1 become the import parameters and they update the table and Flag returns the value whether its successful or not?
I have done the first part of displayin the table.
How should i update the table in second scenario as i have to use the rows under the export parameters as import parameters?
Any suggestions on this

So you are able to execute the first BAPI and get the results in a Table say TABLE1.
Now you want to pass the values in Table1 as Import parameters to BAPI2.
If that is the case then do the following.
After you execute BAPI1 and fill TABLE1 with values.
Loop the table1 and pass the values to BAPI2 as import parameters. Note that in BAPI2 if you are passing multiple values then your import parameter must be declared under the Table Parameter Tab in the RFC.
Hope that is what you are looking for.

Just an annoying little bug, if I change to this channel (42) using the Program button on the remote it quite often greets me with the "Insert Viewing Card" message. However if I key the channel directly using the numbers it works OK every time - anyone else come across this?
