Hi All,
We have upgraded the BPEL server from 10.1.3.3 to 10.1.3.4 also Upgraded the database from 10G to 10.2.0.4
We are facing the following exception in the BPEL while invoking the Other BPEL throught PartenerLink this BPEL worked fine in 10.1.3.3 but throwing remote exceptions in 10.1.3.4
exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection reset

Problems met when upgrading APEX within Oracle XE to APEX 4.0

Hi,
When I tried to upgrade APEX within Oracle XE to APEX4.0, I met problems.
Here's how I did (I'm on windows 7):
1. Downloaded the latest oracle xe database (based on 10.2.0.1)
2. Installed it by running the setup.exe. The installation was success. And I can login to the database.
3. Downloaded latest application express (4.0)
4. Unzipped it into d:\
*5. Run sqlplus as sysdba, and run the install script: '@d:\apex\apexins.sql SYSAUX SYSAUX TEMP /i/'*
When doing this step, the sqlplus window closed quickly. I'm not sure whether this step is success as I can not find the log file in 'd:\apex' folder*
*6. I continued to run sqlplus as sysdba again, and run the load images script: '@d:\apex\apxldimg.sql d:\'*
When doing this step, some error messages in sqlplus window, saying:*

Hi,
I assume your install did fail.
As you can not find log file I assume it is something relating folder permissions.
I do not know folder these permissions work in Windows.
But try give everybody read/write permission to your d:\apex.
Then try again

And change your working directory to d:\apex before you run scripts.
Then you can run just

Problem faced when automating the P.O and P.O Release transactions

Hi,
I was trying to automate the Purchase Order and Purchase Order Release screen using ECATT tool.
I recorded the Purchase Order screen by importing the Purchase Requisition Number.
When i record the Purchase Order screen, the screen settings was different and when i was replaying the script, the settings was different.
The Problem which i faced was when i was recording the Purchase Order transaction, the header tab was in the expand status.But when i execute the recorded script, the header tab gets collapsed. Because of this change, the Purchasing Org tab value is not passed and it throws an error.
Please help me to find a solution for this problem.
The same happens in Purchase Order release transaction.
When i am recording the Purchase Order Release transaction, the Release Strategy tab is active and when i am replaying the script which i have recorded, it is not the same of what i have recorded.
Therefore, it throws an error.
Kindly help me to get a solution for the problem

Problem facing when changing configuration characterstic values in SO

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem when i am chaging sales order configuration characterstic values they are updating perfectly. But when i am creating purchase order with reference to sales order then the sales order configuration currency characterstic values are picking as 0 which are already updated perfectly in sales order.
I am using cl_cbase-> set_configuration method for to update the characterstic currency values.
cl_cbase->set_mark_for_saving after the above method
cl_cbase->save_and_free after the above method.
Would request your suggestions if you have come across this situation.

i faced this problem when intalling oracle 10g in windows xp. this dos prompt opens for 5 min. and then it get closed..after tht nuthing happens.

Problem facing after upgrade windows 8 pro 64 bit

I was using Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit, recently I have upgraded it with 8.1. After upgrade my Tally gets hanged while exiting with my live account. Tally was working fine with same live account in Windows 8. I have spoke to Tally technical staff, they have
suggested me to try with another account. So, I have created local account and tried, and it worked fine. So, I thought it might be possible that it is due to old user files, so I have removed the live account and recreated it, and tried the same, but the
problem is same. So, as of now I have removed the live account and working with local account and its working fine. Another problem without live account is I am not able to download any app from store. One thing I have noticed that my live account's user directory
is still existing in user folder even I have removed the account with no backup option. So is it possible to flushed all the old and new files lying with my live account? or any other solution?

Does your notebook have switchable graphics that worked i Windows 7?
The AMD graphics driver provides the audio while using an HDMI output.
You will need to install the AMD graphics driver in Windows 7 compatibility mode to resolve this.

Problems faced when using xsl:include and extension functions

I am Working in XML and XSLT using Oracle's XML Parser V2.
Previously i had worked in Microsoft technology using MSXMLParser.
I am facing some problems in XSLT. They are as below...
1. Using <xsl-include href="Somexsl.xsl">
the oraclexmlparser processor is giving the error : XSL-1002: Error while processing include XSL file (no protocol: Submenu.xsl).
* Can u tell me why i am getting this error, and what is the fix for this.
The same case with <xsl:import> too.
2. In case i have to write some functions in the previous WD of xsl i used these statements

You haven't included the code for what your <xsl:include>
statement looks like, which seems to be what it's complaining
about...
XSLT 1.0 has no <xsl:eval>, this is a microsoft specific tag
from a pre-XSLT-1.0 version.
XSLT 1.0 has no <xsl:script> element either.

Problem faced when using calculated field as filter

Iam using an Oracle External Data Source.The external table contains a timestamp field and I add this to my data object.The year,month etc. functions work well on this field and results appear on list views.But when I try to generate a filter for this field and display the view I get errors.

So,I tried out with the call center data object found in bam samples.This had a datetime field.Filters on calculated fields work fine here.

Answer to following questions will help me narrow down the problem:
1. Which version of BAM are you on - 10g or 11g?
2. What condition are you using in filter i.e. "is equal to", "is less than equal to", "is like"...etc?
3. In which format is the timestamp data being given in the filter? (by format, I mean mm-dd-yy HH:MM:SS etc)
4. Can you give the exact datatype of the DB in which this timestamp data is stored?

Problems faced when using JSTL

I am a beginner in using JSTL 1.1 tag library in my web application and I got problems when I was dealing with it. The problem is, how can I pass the form bean parameter value (e.g. ArrayList) into the core tag? What should I do before defining the <c:forEach/> and the attributes I should defined inside the tag? Problem faced when the column is moved in Jtable

Say , in a JTable 3 columns are present. the cells under the 2nd column is editable and 3rd is not editable. when i move the rd column to the second column position, the cells which were under second column becomes non editable. How to overcome this??

Time machine problem. Switching from one external drive to another. Problem started when upgrading to Mavrics, and changing to a WD drive

I am a long time Mac user, running my business on an apple platform since 1984. I currently use a 17" MacBook Pro as my primary computer for work. when it is at work it is plugged in via thunderbolt to my monitor and a one tb back up drive. I use time machine to back up the laptop to the one tb drive. When I go home, I take the laptop with me and use another drive at home as a back up. This way I have redundant back ups, in two separate locations. I have been doing this for years, and Time machine has worked flawlessly, automaticity switching from one drive to another.
I recently switched to Maverics, and got a new drive for home. Now whether I am at home or at work, time machine fails to automatically back up. It will alert me every hour that backups cannot be completed, and I must go to the time machine control panel and manually select a drive and click, "back up now". I also see an alert that says "waiting to complete first back up" even though each backup has been completed.
This is quite annoying, and sometimes embarrassing. When giving lectures in large venues, the backup failure alert appears and shuts down my keynote presentation (again, something new since switching to Maverics and the new WD drive.
I have reformatted the WD drive, and also spent time trying to change parameters in the time machine control panel, but so far no luck.
Any advice out there?

Time machine requires a GUID partion scheme, as well as a Mac OS X extended, journaled Volume.
It needs these to correctly:
1) copy the files
2) run a modified spotlight index pass on the files
Both are required to complete a abckup, and most new drives do not conme this way from the factory.

I have a simple JAVA WS , deployed in a server and I want to call it from ODI , the JAVA Class takes some inputs as input Parameter and writes the data into the DB.
I didn't use any explicit XSD for designing the WS, WS has it own inline schema.

"This URL does not point to a valid WSDL"
I am not getting why I am getting such error, any help is highly appreciable.

iam using 11g database . I have apex 3.0 now i try upgrading to 3.2.1
I did following steps
1)I Downloaded from otn apex 3.2.1 zip file
2) unzipped file
3)i have connected sqlplus where i unzipped apex 3..2.1

Oracle Text is a required component for APEX installation. See document at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14373_01/install.32/e13366/pre_require.htm#insertedID6
Please check with DBA to install it.
