Problems getting CD information when I am importing

I was adding CDs to my library. One time I put a disk in and was not conneced to the internet. Itunes said that it could not get track information. Now that I am connected to the internet when I put the cd back in it does not check the internet for information, it just puts the track 1 track 2 information that it got before. it there a way to trick itunes into thinking that it did not see this cd before.

you don't need to reimport the songs. while you're connected to the internet, select the songs in your itunes library called "track 1" and so forth, and go "Advanced > Get CD Track names". itunes will then do a Gracenote query on those songs.

What version of iPhoto are you using and from where (and how) are you trying to import the photos?
As a first fix attempt try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and see if you get the same message. If you don't then the problem lies with your current library.

I get an error when trying to import MP3 files in iTunes?

When I try to import mp3 files into iTunes (version 6), I get an error message of:
The file "song file name" can not be imported An unknown error has occurred (-50).
I have already imported these files into iTnes on my old computer, but run into this problem with my new laptop. I downloaded a new version of iTunes just like I installed all my new programs on this new laptop.
For some reason, I run into this problem when trying to import any mp3 files (as mentioned, even mp3 files that I successfully imported into iTunes previously).
(I've tried a complete removal and re-install, but that didn't help)
Anyone know why I'm getting this error message and how to correct things?

those are the files that are sent as an error report... i dont know what the problem is! this is starting to get me mad! I need my music! some1 help plz.
I cant load that one folder, what could be the problem? I've loaded another folder similar to this one but it was alot smaller and everything worked out fine, but for my big one its messing up.

Get 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency?

I get the 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency? I'm trying to use mattes with an alpha channel but I cannot import them. I have had this same issue since cs6, now I have it with cc 2014? Any clues would be most appreciated.
I have uninstalled the DVCPro Codec, but it didn't help.
I have tried converting the .mov file (which is now automatic in Yosemite) and this creates a ProRes4444 Codec, Again no luck with import.
I've seen this issue on the web, but never a solution? Anyone?

I tried iPhoto Library Manager but it could not solve my problem. Opening the iPhoto library I can see that the reference to the pictures are pointing to my old location not to the new one. I considered running a script that would change all pointers since this is basically what is needed (in my case from /Volumes/RAID1/Fotos/XXX to /Volumes/Fotos/XXX). Instead I inserted a soft unix link to make to connection but that did not work. It is referring to the airport disk by the airport name rather than the mounted disk name. Very strange indeed. The problem is maybe not in iPhoto but in OSX? Anyway, maybe the only way out is to take some hours and manually run through all linked photos... cumbersome and annoying!

Iplanet web server 7 -how to get more information when a certificate is untrusted ?

When a client tries to access to iplanet 7.0.15, we only get a line in the errors log with a simple error., for instance SSL_ERROR_UNKOWN_CA_ALERT...
We would like to know if it is possible to configure iplanet to get more information about this request..
iPLANET is receiving requests from a lot of clients and sometime it is difficult to identify the source of a error without more information..
We would like have similar information that access log shows when certificate is valid
We get the same information with log-level = info or finest..

Hi Uge,
Setting the iPlanet Web Server log level to 'finest' will give you more information, but it is very verbose, and you still might not get the information you are looking for. You might want to try 'fine' or 'finer' first to see if either of those gives you the information you need.
With regards to the above error, SSL_ERROR_UNKOWN_CA_ALERT, this means that the client presented a certificate in the SSL handshake that was signed by a CA that the Web Server doesn't have in it's certificate database. In order to ensure the Web Server is kept upto date with the latest set of public CA certificates, I would recommend you upgrade to the latest version.
If you know that the certificates the clients are using are from an internal CA, you need to ensure the Root CA Certificate from that internal CA is installed in the Web Servers certificate database as a trusted certificate.

Why are you using that hint?
Aside from the fact that rule based optimization is obsolete, the optimiser can either do Rule based optimization or Cost based optimization. Why would you expect to get Cost based information when using Rule based optimization?
Don't use such hints. Cost based optimization is far superior to rule based.

Getting wrong information when trying to access one particular websitewebsite access

I have a problem when carrying out a search on ONE particular website. I have contacted the company (John Lewis plc) who inform me that they do not have any roblems with their site . This problem started a month ago when I kept getting a message saying 'Due to a technical problem the page you requested cannot be displayed'. I have deleted the site from my Bookmarks and re-added but to no avail. I can now access the main page of the site but when I try to search for a product it just keeps telling me 'Due to a technical problem the page you requested cannot be displayed'. As I previously said, it only happens on this website but, having checked witheir Customer Support Team, they have confirmed that no one else has complaine of this problem and they are not aware of any problems with their site. Can anyone suggest a cure please?>

Moved my library to an external hard drive. Now I get this message when trying to import video: Cannot start ingest because there is no storage location set. Please set one under Storage in Preferences and try again.

I recently moved my iMovie Library and all of its contents to an external hard drive. I then erased the library and all of its contents from my iMac HD and created a new library. Now when I try to import video from my DV camera I get this message: Cannot start ingest because there is no storage location set. Please set one under Storage in Preferences and try again. There is no way to set a storage location in Preferences. I have chosen an Event in the middle drop down box. But it still will not import. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, and that is the default structure to which I was referring. iTunes will organize it that way automatically unless people do start changing settings (in which case they should know what they are doing and how iTunes works with library files and media structure.)
Both ways work, the advantages of mine would be that should iTunes try looking fo a library, it will always be in the default location.
It makes people think they have to change media location in preferences. They do not unless they want to relocate media only and leave other things on their internal drive (in which case there is no point in copying library files to the external, and you certainly wouldn't want to then delete them from your internal).
Downside is that then should someone move their iTunes library to anther computer they need to remember to get those library files on the external hard drive.
Just copy the whole iTunes folder and it will get the library files to the other drive in one step, along with all the other files.
Your post has good stuff but it makes a move appear intimidating and look like people have to do a lot of organizing to move the collection. It also throws in extra steps (namely altering preference settings) that could cause confusion or even make a mess of things. If people leave iTunes to default preference settings (which most people do) the move summarizes into a short line: Copy a folder and hold an extra button the next time you start iTunes.
Note that the instructions in the link I provided earlier do also include many steps, but those are to ensure that everybody does have it all organized correctly before simply copying the iTunes folder. In the end it is just a simple action.

Problems Getting Security Information

SDK: BI 4.0 SP6 - I have both the server and the client tools apps installed on my laptop.
I'm working on an application that pulls folder security information (among many other things!) and exports it to a .csv file so that we can analyze it. However, it appears that the security info is not being pulled correctly. Here are the various bits of code that I'm using:
CMS Query:
Select * from CI_INFOOBJECTS where SI_KIND = 'Folder' order by SI_NAME
For each folder returned in the above query, information is stored in a FolderInfo object (a class that I've written):

I just took another look at this,

eRoles.get(i) - returns the access level with the given id not the access level at position i. So you'll need to use an iterator to loop through the results and extract the roles:

The same applies to the original posting, IExplicitPrincipals.get(i) gets the principal with the specified id, not the principal at position i.
I should've picked up on this sooner but like you I assumed that .get(i) on the collection would return the object in the collection at position i.
I haven't tested the above - just going by the javadoc. If correct then we should probably raise a ticket in ideas.sap.com to get the methods renamed to something like getPrincipal(int id) getRole(int id) and leave the standard collection get(int position) method in place to get the object at position x.
Let me know how it pans out.

IMovie 09 - get blue screen when trying to import from camera

I have used previous versions of iMovie without incident. Today when I tried to import some footage from my Sony TRV950 via firewire, all I get is a blue screen with the counter rolling but no import.
I can see the footage playing on my camera.
My camera is listed as DV-VCR (DV) in the import window.
Any tips?

I had the same issue with the blue screen. To resolve it I quit imovie and unplugged firewire cable. Started imovie the plugged in firewire. Created a new event, went to import, clicked play, selected add to event( the one I just created)
and it started playing and imported fine.

Problem getting from server when there are large attachments

Hello,
Using mail I have problems downloading pop mail from the server if there are messages with "large" (10MB) attachments. To solve the problem I have to login via webmail and delete the messages,. This has happened twice already. Using outlook via windows I have no such problems.
During these blocks no mail gets through, it's like the mail app does not see mail on the server.
Any solutions?

"String to IP" can be configured to return multiple (all) addresses. Just right-click the primitive and select "Multiple Output". You can then use IP to String to get the IP addresses in a more readable form.
To know which of the 2 is the connection to your server you need to have some knowledge. If you know it starts with "10." you can just pick the IP address that matches this pattern.

Problem getting current information on Lookout screens

I am using lookout to poll a PLC. The PLC is controlling a pump based on the level in a tank.
While watching the level in lookout the value does not change very often. It might show 14.0 and then might show 12.5 much later than it should.
When i edit the object and change the engineering units from 0 - 15.1 to 0 - 15.11 and select update, the level updates immediately.
While waiting for the value to change in lookout i go online with the PLC and the level value change every second or two (like it should).
Why is the analog value not updating on the Lookout screen ?
Is there anything i can check to see what the problem is?
My digital signals seem to be displayed when they happen.

If you connect timers to the alarms they should not come up. Lookout alarms (Citadel, COM, etc.) will give alarms. Also, i suggest monitoring the COMM FAIL alarms yourself. Set the alarm priority of the driver to 0 and connect a timer to the .commfail point.

Go to the Apple Support page and type in your serial number. When the screen comes up showing that Serial number having Applecare extended warranty take a screen shot of it or Print it out to a PDF file and then Print a Hard Copy of either of those things. Take that with you when you take your Mac in to be looked at.

Problem getting db connection when using virtual hosts / tomcat / apache

I have servlets that use a connection pool to query an oracle database. When running Tomcat 5.5 stand-alone, everything works fine. But the same servlets do not work when running them on a server tomcat and apache integrated with jk and using virtual hosts. The problem is the connection pool, because servlets not using the pool also work fine.
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Try connecting with the machinen's IP, if this is a viable strategy for you (meaning the database IP is not dynamically assigned).I'm not sure how to do this. Here is a copy of my context.xml:
