Problems getting Disc Menus to work using Adobe Premiere Elements 10
I am putting together a presentation using Premiere Elements 10. I have the entire presentation complete and I want to add a Disc Menu so I can have a screen that will allow me to pick parts of the disc to run when I watch the DVD. When I pick the DISC MENUS area on the screen for the program I can see menus that I should be able to drag and drop but it doesn't work and it asks me to sign into Adobes website. what am I doing wrong?

Several possibilities for the problem. First. are you selecting photoshop.com plus member only disc menu choices. If so, photoshop.com plus is discontinued and you need to use one of the non photoshop.com plus menus. If that does not apply to your situation, then please read on.
Did your Premiere Elements 10 purchase came from box or online download purchase.
If box, did you ever install Content from the Content disc after you installed the program from the program installation disc?
or
If online download, did you ever install Content from Adobe via the link
http://www.adobe.com/special/premiereel/downloads/
http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/10/pe-7-8-910-content-download.html
When you are in Premiere Elements 10, how many disc menus are available to you to choose from?
Please review, answer the above, and then we can move on based on your details.
Thanks.

Re-creating demo using Adobe Premiere Elements 10
I am trying to use Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to re-create a software product demo. I have the audio recording file of the demo and 72 screen shots of the software. I'm trying to marry the two together to create a new video file which will basically be a re-creation of the demo.
What is the best way to align the screen shot photos to the correct audio time stamps? For example, I want to specify that shot 1 is :14 - :45 and shot 2 is :46 - 1:32 and shot 3 is 1:33 - 1:55, etc. Do you know how I can set these time stamps telling the software when and for how long it should display each screen shot photo before moving to the next one?
I have found where you can specify duration for each photo - like shot 1 is :32 duration and shot 2 is :45 duration and shot 3 is 1:45 duration and so on. The problem with this method is that if you're off by just 1 second it has a cummulative effect so 10 photos in and your audio could be out of synch with your photos by a good 8-10 seconds -- this is not good.
If anyone can let me know how to do this I'd greatly appreciat it. Thank you, MarkIn PRE you can edit down to frame level (just repeatedly zoom in). In your case I suggest you right click your still and use Time Stretch to set the exact duration you want. The format is hours: minutes: seconds; frames.
You can also stretch or shrink duration by placing the cursor at the end of your clip and click-drag.
Cheers,
Neale

Any pre keyed effect sites that work with adobe premiere elements 11?
I have been trying to find a legit non scam/virus site with pre keyed effects like explosions, gunshot fire, fire, and other effects like that.
Most sites that I've tried are virus' or only work with imovie.
Anyone know of any good sites that have pre keyed effects that works with adobe premiere elements 11? (they don't have to look good, I am just practicing with those)In my book "Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Premiere Elements 11", I recommend and show you how to use clips from the wonderful site http://detonationfilms.com/ to create explosive effects.

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 11. I want to make a Credit Roll and start off screen and stop with the credit remaining still in the middle of the screen. I know this can be done with CS6. Can this be done in Elements 11? Does Elements 12 or 13 have these options for Credit Roll.

Please read my work on this topic which involves Premiere Elements Preroll and Postroll settings.

Can I use adobe premiere elements 13 to organize photos? How?
Can I use adobe premiere elements 13 to organize photos? How?

Premiere Elements 13 Editor comes with the Elements Organizer 13 separate area.
Yes, you can use its Elements Organizer 13 to organize photos and do other things and is integrated with the Premiere Elements 13 Editor.
Maybe first review and consider the following and then let us know if you have questions or need clarification on any of the following
Elements Organizer Help | Help and tutorials
http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/elements-organizer_reference.pdf
In the Project Assets of the Premiere Elements 13 Editor itself, there is a certain degree of organizing source media in the Expert workspace/Project Assets.
Do you currently have Premiere Elements 13? If not, you might consider download and installing the tryout from Adobe for explore its compatibility with your
computer environment and project goals. Be aware that there can be issues with the playback of some video files in the Elements Organizer 13 player.

Uploading using Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Network problems
Hi,
Is there a place in Adobe Premiere Elements 12 that we can insert our company proxy details, the reason being. When I go to Publish and Share and click "Social Websites" and want to upload a video to youtube and push next it gives the following error "Online Services encountered an error. The services will be terminated or paused if possible."
If I use a 3G card it allows us to upload. Our network must be blocking this link or programme, yet we have made sure from our side adobe is not blocked on the network and I have access to all websites.
My question is can we insert proxy details somewhere or can I get the link of where that link is taking us to when pushing next trying to upload with youtube via adobe . I know it is going to youtube but I need the exact URL to make sure we allow this link to work.
Anyone have the answer for me?MaudeSt
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. For network problems when using the current version which is now Premiere Elements 12, please contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat.
Click on the following link, and then find and click on Chat Panel to discuss

I have set the web page to the Chat Panel level. If it does not hold the setting, then you will need to navigate to Adobe Chat using the topics

Hello,
I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 8 about one week ago. I installed it and everything seem to work well in my first project. I am new at editing videos but I was succesful in testing it by loading an existing video file in avi format from my computer and then doing some very basic editing (I splitted 2 scenes and added a title).
After my first succesful project (described above) I started a brand new project. Here, I want to capture a one hour video from the dv output of a video camera. So I connected the camera to the PC and then started adobe elements 8. Before starting the capture I only checked the boxes that said "capture video" and "capture audio" (the other 2 boxes that said download to timeline and autoanalyze were left unchecked). After that I started the capture process.
After the video capture was completed, a small window opened at the bottom saying that a PEAK FILE was being generated. After the peak file generation finished, I looked at the captured video. The video looked perfect. However the audio of the video was too fast. By this, I mean that the voices of the people in the movie were like they were speaking at more than twice the normal speed. Or to explain it in a different way, they sounded like the chipmunks.
So now I come to the question of this thread I started. Is there a way that I can fix the audio part of the video I captured? I will appreciate any help on this. Below I listed a few additional details in case this is needed.
Thanks,
ronel_8
PS. Here are some more details about my system:
1) Operating System: Windows XP
2) I am capturing the video on an external drive with 40 GB of available space. The external drive is connected to a PC via a USB connection.
3) Computer CPU: 2.4 GHZ
4) Computer RAM: 1.25 GB
5) Video tape is about one hour long.Hello Bill and Steve,
Your responses are very helpful. Although I was not able to fix the problem yet I do seem to think from what you both say that my system may be too slow to capture the one hour video. In any case I will copy below more details about the system as you requested:
1) Results from running Gspot:
The audio section of the Gspot window was blank. That is, no information was there. The File and Container sections say:
File Size: 12.6 GB
Note: 7.63 GB unneeded bytes at the end of the file
DV Type1 AVI
2) I did run the Gspot on another good avi file (captured to the PC with same camcorder) and says:
Codec PCM Audio
32kHz 1024 kb/s tot (2 chnls).
I suppose these are the audio settings from the camera.
3) Yes, I am capturing video from a miniDV camcorder (JVC GR-D70U).
4) I did not defragment the external drive prior to capturing the video with the audi problem. So I will give that I try and see if it solves the problem.
5) The external drive I am using is formatted to NTFS.
6) The computer is a Dell Dimension 2400, CPU: 2.4 GHZ, RAM: 1.25 GB
7) HDD Size=74GB and 11 GB of free space. But I am downloading video to external drive that has 60 GB free space.
One last piece of information that may be useful. If I open the AVI file (that I captured with Adobe Premiere Elements) with Windows Media Player, the audi sounds good. However if I open it with Adobe it has the problem I mentioned in my previous e-mail.
I'll aprreciate any further hints.
Thanks again,
ronel_8 -
I've never used adobe premiere elements and really need help!
Device: High Definition Audio Device
Errorcode: FFA-8-000D [8004015]
Info
Playback failed.
The audio system does not seem to respond.
Maybe card does not support full duplex mode.
This is what has been showing up every time it try to use my premiere elements....I've gone into the prefrences and unclicked full duplex. but it still shows that. If i could get help that would be great! i'm making a movie for a class and its due may 5th so if i can get the help soon that be even better!! thanx!!!After taking Paul's advice, you might want to go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager, and open it up. Go to Sound, video and game controllers (might be called something similar in Vista). Look for your Realtek High Definition Audio and Dbl-click on it. Open up and check everything there.Make sure you have no errors.
Next, go to Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware and look at ASIO Settings. Check that your Realtek HD Audio output is checked for both Ports (Input & Output).
With Paul's suggestion, and making sure that the Realtek is selected, you *should* not get that error.
If you do, please post back.
I would also recommend Steve Grisetti's two books on Premiere Elements. The first is designated for PE2, but very much of it still applies to later versions. His new book is focused on PE7, but contains a lot of great info on video editing in general (as does the first book).
There is also a forum/site Muvipix, that is dedicated to helping people use aspects of video, audio and still. It also has a lot of great tutorials, plus a lot of Assets, like Menus, and stock footage. Much of that is free and available, and all is accessible with a subscription.
Good luck,

Do Mpeg2's work on Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0?
I don't know much about Adobe Premiere elements. I imported a MPEG2 into Premiere and it was fine in the preview screen but when I put into the timeline, it changed to a different color like green and blue. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or know if Mpeg2s don't work in Premiere.
Thanks for any help you offer. The old PE1 did not handle MPEG files very well at all. The latest version PE7 handles them much better... but some folks still have some issues. Best bet is to convert your MPEGs to DV-AVI. See this FAQ on conversion:

Rendering quality bad using Adobe Premiere elements.
I was told to start a new discussion about my problem: The Mpeg rendering have such bad quality in APEleements, and it trembls so much whenever there is movement in the vídeo. I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 and the quality for the same videos is so much better. I wanted to buy APElements also, but watching the APE rendered film, made me not want to buy it anymore. (My camera is a Sony HDR-XR550 with AVCHD quality.
I received the following answer:
Valdo_PT
A major factor in the type of issue that you describe goes to how the project was set up and the selection for export.
For us to rule in or out those types of factors, more information is needed.
1.Computer operating system....?
2. Project Preset.....Are you setting the project preset manually or are you letting the project it do it automatically based on the properties of the first file that you
drag to the Timeline? See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General.
3. Properties of the source file(s).....You say they were videos recorded with Sony HDR-XR550/AVCHD video compression..... are they 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second or something else? What is the file extension?
4. What is your export selection?
Are your major problems in Edit area or Export area? Have you applied Field Options to your video if your camera is recording interlaced and not progressive video?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
Thanks.
ATR
My answer:
Hello, ATR. Thank you, for replying my question.
1- My computer operating system is windows 8.1, but I also have a computer with Vista.
2- The project preset is chosen automatically, by the APE.
The project settings are already chosen(Icannot change the edit mode - that is HDV 10801 - and the timebase 25,00.
The video is 1440 horizontal and 1080 vertical. Display format is 25 fps.
3 - The file extesnsion is mts.
4- I am rendering the film to Mpeg, Pal DVD Widescreen.
5- My problem is that the rendered quality is very bad.
I tried to check if the video is interlaced or progressive, but I don't know how. I used the software bitrate
viewer, but it doesn't recognise mts video.
Thanks,
ValdoATR, thank you for your answer.
a. I am using Adobe Elements 11.
b. In the Elements MPEG rendered films there’s some distortion, flicker, blurriness and moving lines, mostly when there’s movement in the film.
1. My operating system is Win 8.1 32 bit.
2. The project is by default PAL-AVCHD-Full HD -1080i 25.
3. In the Elements MPEG rendered films there’s some distortion, flicker, blurriness and moving lines, mostly when there’s movement in the film.
b. The AVCHD.mp4 has also problems, as MPeg2-1920x1080i.25. From those exports I tried, the M2t-H264-1440x1080i has clear vision, there is no problems. But all of these I can only watch in the PC, not in the TV, because of the reason I will explain next.
The intent is to watch in my TV (or other TVs) the family films I create. The problem is that they have to be MPEG 2 because my Hd tv media player is good but a little out of time and mostly it plays dvix and MPEG.
4. I reversed the Field Dominance, but there were no improvements.
Yes, the only problem I have is with the quality of the rendering.
5. I have used MediaInfo, but in the info it provides about the file there was nothing saying if it is interlaced or progressive video.
Thanks, Valdo -

How do I use Adobe Premiere Elements 8?
How do I use this software?
notatex
Download and save the Premiere Elements 8 Help PDF to your computer hard drive.
http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/archive.html
That is your quickest route to comprehensive video editing information specific to your version of interest. It is an excellent starting resource.
Often the principles of these versions are the same, but the features have a tendency to be moved, replaced, or discontinued from version to version. As I always write, it is very frustrating in those instances to be armed with principles when you cannot find a feature. Forums are great to fill in the gaps if that becomes necessary.
The keys to success with Premiere Elements 8 require
a. Download and install of the Premiere Elements 8.0.1 update
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4653
The program is essentially unmanageable without it.
The only evidence of its install is a message at the end of the install stating that the update has been successfully installed. Adobe leaves no "8.0.1" anywhere to be found after that update.
Essentials of the program include:
1. Making sure that the automatic background rendering is turned OFF in Edit Menu/Preferences/General. The 8.0.1 Update should do that for you, but check nonetheless.
2. Making sure that the AutoAnalyzer options in the Elements Organizer are turned OFF. See Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoAnalyzer Options in the Elements Organizer that comes with Premiere Elements 8. My major encounter in that regard with the feature was its making unwanted stacks of my video clips after it decided on its own to split the clips.
3. Making sure that the GPU option in preferences is set appropriate for your video card. See Edit Menu/Preferences/General and the Enable GPU Playback option there.
And, even if you have a high level resource computer, remember that Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 is a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit comparability mode of a 64 bit system and as such has the liabilities of 32 bit, namely, maximum supported installed RAM = 4.0 GB (3.0 GB or less are typically available).
Once setup, I have found the program to be a fine and stable performer.

Using Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Glossary S scrubbing
This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premiereelements/using/WS714a382cdf7d304e82db6910417c04144-7f4 f.html
Message title was edited by: Brett NFrom the Urban Dictionary:
"If you're old enough to remember reel-to-reel tape decks, then you may fondly remember scrubbing. Scrubbing is the process of moving quickly forward or backward through a song as it plays. Whether you remember reel-to-reel tape decks or not, you can scrub songs in iTunes.
Most times you'll want to listen to a song from start to finish, but if you want to locate and listen to a particular section, you can do it with the help of the little diamond location marker in the iTunes display."
While the song is playing, grab and hold the diamond pointer in the iTunes display and move it to the left or right to scrub through the song. The sound will be similar to rapidly flipping through a radio dial. Release the pointer to continue playing the song from the current point."
TL;DR
Scrubbing is the process of moving quickly forward or backward through a song as it plays.
You can do it on any media player - your iPod/iPhone, iTunes, Windows Media Player....whatever it is you use.
I have visual voicemail on my iPhone, where I can see your message as an audio track that I can scrub though.
You can also think of it like this: when you do the Click+Drag movement you are "scrubbing" your mouse pad with your mouse.
