Problems getting Python setup in VS2013 Community

Somehow, whenever I run a simple and trivial "Hello World" python app, VS 2013 Community still asks me to install Python tools when things are already setup as detailed in the documentation. What should I do? I cannot even run an app.

Hello chessmagnet,
Can you clarify the document you mentioned? Is it this one?

  • Problems getting into SETUP

I am having a problem when I first boot up that I cannot get into the Setup.  The startup screen comes up, but I cannot go into SETUP by pressing the DEL key.  I have read all the trouble shooiting guides I can on here and even seen a couple threads here from others that have had the same problem.  But it seems no one came back to say how they fixed the problem.
Below I have listed what I have in the PC.  For what I have done so far is that when I get to the screen you see listed below.  I press the DELETE key a few times with nothing happening.  The PC will finally start beeping with each key press.  Since it never tries to go on and boot the OS from the drives I suspect it is hung up trying to do something.
I'm using a P/S2 keyboard.  In fact I have used two of them in trying to get this to work, one is new. I have made sure I am using the purple keyboard port to plug them into.  I have tried resetting the CMOS.  I have tried setting J10 to put it into Safe Mode. Still nothing works.  I have disconnected the FDD, I have changed HDD too with no luck.  I have checked that everything is in the right place.  The HDD goes to J1 and set to the Master plug.  The CD-ROM goes to J2 with the plug correct there too.  Memory, described below, is in DIMM1 and DIMM3.
What can I do to fix this problem?

I knew as soon as I sent the message someone would correct me about IDE1 and IDE2.
Yes I have now disconnected the drives and I get messages now saying that there are no primary and secondary master and slave drives.  Also that the floppy disk fails.  Now I just checked and I can go into the BIOS Setup. So it seems before it was stuck checking the drives.

You may be experiencing an authorization error, see KB: http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/error-e_act_not_ready.html
Or you may be experiencing a network related problem like the one I'm having:

chat with customer service at book company i purchased file:
"Me: I installed the proper adobe software, adobe digital editions 3.0 (now have updated to 4.0) on my mac running os 10.85 however I am getting the following error code when i try to open the file:
"Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:
    E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR"
Charles P.: Okay, what you need to do unfortunately, is contact Adobe at  http://www.adobe.com and they will need to get your license issue resolved.
Charles P.: Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Me: title of error is    Unable to Download
Me: i dont see how that would be an adobe problem?
Charles P.: I understand, but it appears that the reason for the download issue is because of the license error the license is related to the Adobe Digital editions software. I understand how this could be confusing but it's due to the authorization of the ADE software. Adobe would need to correct your account issue with the license
Me: ok but i thought this was a free license from adobe??!!  this is just a digital editions reader, right??
Charles P.: That is correct it is a free license but your account has to be associated with one license and yes the Digital edition is a ebook reader that our ebooks use for you to view

Well, just for the halibut I tried opening the book again today and , GLORY BE!,  it worked.
Guess it may have taken overnight for Adobe to OK my license to their free ADE software. Also works now using Bluefire app as the reader on my android phone, although it was a pain
to get the book file in the right file folder for bluefire to see it.
I hope that time also heels the issue with all other Error Getting License users.

Unable to download Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY.  Cannot open ebooks on my Adobe DE.  How do I fix this?

I had the exact same problem & this worked for me. All I needed was the first step. Good luck!!!! (copied from another thread):
"Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
    Another is  "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people.  Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. If you are using 10.7, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1265248?tstart=0

  • Help please! Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN.

Help please! I paid for and downloaded 2 books from eBooks library and it then goes to my download folder (on a Windows PC). When I double click on the downloaded book to open, digital editions comes up and then I get the following message: Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN. My computer is authorised and I have tried everything I can think of but can't get the books to download into adobe digital editions. Can anybody help??? Thanks

I should have mentioned also that the first book downloaded fine. It's just the second one that I'm having the problems with.

  • "Error Getting Licence. License Server Communication Problem. E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_OPEN_ERROR

After a fatal HDD crash and rebuild, my ADE was working fine but now it's not. I purchased a book from Google, it starts to download to ADE then I get the ADE message "Error Getting License. License Server Communication Problem. E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_OPEN_ERROR. Can anyone help? I've re-booted and re-authorized with no success. My wife is all over me to get this fixed so she can read the book. Thanks.
    FYI: ADE 4.0.3 Windows 7x64

I was unable to download the book so I couldn't open it. However, I've been doing some experimenting and have finally got the book downloaded to ADE with some challenges. Here's what happened.
Prior to my HDD crash my Digial Editions library was on C:drive. When I restored my lost data it put it back on the C:drive. I copied it with all my other data to the new My Document on  F:drive, pointed my existing My Documents to the F:drive.and re-installed ADE. It worked but VERY VERY slow loading. (4 minutes and not the only program to slow down. I checked drive share and everything should work well but it doesn't). Fine, I then pointed My Documents back to the C:drive and the original ADE library. Voila! It loads right away like it used to but now I get the open document error. This morning I redirected My Documents back to the F:drive which is where it was when I set up ADE. It again took many minutes to load but then allowed me to download the book.
So I guess the real questions is this: How can I move my ADE 4.0.3 library from the F:drive back to the  C:drive without getting this kind of error? In absence of any better suggestion I'm going to uninstall ADE, point My Documents back to the C:drive which contains the original restored ADE library and re-install ADE. Do you think that makes sense?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY

HI ( I'm using mac with adobe digital additions)
every time i try to open a ACSM file, (to be able to download the book) i am confronted with the error message
Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:
    E_ACT_NOT_READY
It doesnt matter where i download the file from weather they are free books or ones that i have purchased
it wont let me open to download it. I have authorised my account and it says there is not a problem with my account.
This Computer Is Already Authorised and can download content from the following account **********
i have tried re-downloading the file and opening it immediately while the website is open in my safari browser with no luck
i am using the same email account for the adobe and for the sign in for the books website so i don't think there is a link there
I am hoping someone can help me as I've purchased medical textbooks for thousands of dollars and am unable to open them.

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
    Mac:
    1. Go-> Go to folder.
Go to folder dialog will appear.
    2. Type   ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions
drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
    ADE will be deauthorized now.
    Now Authorize ADE again.
    ADE will be deauthorized now.
    Now Authorize ADE again.
    Windows:
    Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
    Your authorization will be deleted.
    ADE will be deauthorized now.
    Now Authorize ADE again.

  • Unable To Download. Error Getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY

I just downloaded a book from my local library and every time I try to open the download I get a message reading:
Unable To Download. Error Getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY
Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can successfully open my download.
    Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Just installed Adobe Digital Editions 4 on my Windows 8.1 computer and can't get to ADE's to download or return books to my library. The Overdrive app seems to be working fine but ADE's won't start? I don't get the open pop up. Books I have checked out of the library show in ADE's when I go to it independently. Sure hope someone has an answer.
