Problems Implementing SnapShots Scenario for Stock Management
Hello All,
I am trying to configure the Inventory Management with snapshots and I am using the snapshot scenario. According to the document I have created alternative ODS ODSSNAP and infocubes to accumulate 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.
My problem is with the key figures ZTOTALST,ZVALSTCKV and ZVALSTCKQ.
I am facing this problem in the ODS when i try to create the update rule for 2LIS_03_BX. I have the two Characteristics Unit and Currency automatically mapped but i don´t see the key figures of the ODS. I supposed that my key figures may appear without assignment but they don´t appear.
I should have my key figures non mapped but instead I cannot see them.I tried with another standard infosource 2LIS_03_BF and I see my key figures.
I have BW 3.5 patch level 20.
Can you please let me know any ideas?

OK, non cumulative are not stored in your provider but calculated on the fly:
NonCum = InFlow - OutFlow.
then you have to work with your good receipts and goods issue flow key figures....
For your scenario, as far as I understood you just need to see a "snapshot" (latest know stock values) you just need to update your receipts and issues with summation in your ODS; your stock will then be calculated.
Usually a "snapshot" scenario means that you want to store your stock at the end of each month for example; in this case you need to use cumulatives with exception aggregation "LAST" on your time period so that the stocks aren't summarized over time. This way you update your cumulative Stk KF is updated with goods receipts - good issues. Also remind that in this scenario you'll have to load the previous month stock into the next
Stock July = Stock June + Receipts July - Issues July.
As you realize, it can get quite complex...
Please precise your requirement and we'll help you further since I am doing all kind of scenario re stocks...

We restored the Sybase database, but we have problems to access the database from Collection Manager and we can't obtain reports from SCE 2020.

we have problems with our reports in Collection Manager again. We reboot the CM, but the problems continue.

Problems with Stack 27 for Solution Manager
We are trying to install the stack 27 ,on Solution Manager based on Nw 701, but despite we downloaded all the packages listed with the MOPZ the SPAM transaction continue to arise consistency problems with the queue.
The package affected seems to be the SAPKITL437, but it's not clear why.
I'm not able to find any Oss notes for that.

Problem in actions triggering for Case Management

I am strugling to define an action for case creation.
I am using smartform as processing type.
but when I execute and save the transaction (Case), E-mail action is not getting generated.
Processing status is showing as 'Incorrect' in the Case transaction.
In actions monitor transaction system showing the problem is in 'Processing class' and Processing method as shown below.

Processing Class - CL_SAMPLE_PROCESSING_CLASS_PPF
Processing Method - COPY_1_OF_EXEC_SMART_FORM
Archive Mode - 1 Mail Only.
Still the problem exist.
Please help me resolve this issue.

the logic seems to be incomplete. Has anyone implemented this scenario. Please let me know what is the missing piece.

RKI am only in design phase. I have post this message because the How to guide is old and I would know if someone have find a new solution ( with less step to reduce development phase).
As not recent solution is provided, I use the how to guide and adapt because I have more indicator to implement in my solution. -
Inventory Management, New Snapshot Scenario
We are planning to implement the New Snapshot scenario for Inventory Management. This is based on the "How to...." document. As per what is shown in the document, all the 3 extractors feed into the same DSO. However, when I try to create the Update Rules for <b>BX</b>, I get a error that there is no key figure. However, the DSO (Standard) has the Key figures. These are cummulative. Maybe, because of that I get the error when I create update rules for BX. But then, in the document the key figures appear. How is this possible.
Has anyone tried this and has been successful. If so, I'd appreciate if you could send some tips.

Service Interfaces for Credit Management using WS-RM

We are implementing FSCM Credit Management on EHP 5 without using PI. For this we are WS-RM and have configured following service interfaces:

However, when we create sales order, credit check is not being perfomed. Do we need any other service interface for implementing Credit Management?Hello,
I am using ECC 6 ehp 5 Which Enables you to Implement FSCM services via WS-RM (Web Service Reliable Messaging) instead of having to use Previously PI.
I require to implement the scenario is:
Credit Management (FSCM) and Integration with FICA without requiring PI.
I think I have covered all the technical configuration, but do not know how to test credit management and integration with FI-CA, appreciate if you can do to get a guide.
As indicated by the WSRM configuration guide, run the report SRT_ADMIN_CHECK and the result is:
Cross-checking system settings
bgRFC destination is Operational
bgRFC destination is registered supervisor
WSRM event handler is activated
Task is active watcher
Data collector for monitoring is not activated
ICF All nodes are active for SOAP Runtime
Ending cross-check of system settings

Procedures for implementing a snapshot scenario with custom DataSources

I have checked the How To paper ([How to Handle Inventory Management Scenarios in BW (NW2004)|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/f83be790-0201-0010-4fb0-98bd7c01e328]). However, only SAP standard BW objects are mentioned in the paper e.g. InfoCube (0IC_C03), Material Stock InfoSource (2LIS_03_BX), Material movements IS (2LIS_03_BF) and Revaluations IS (0LIS_03_UM).
On the contrary, I need to handle custom DataSources for the Snapshot scenario. Are there any differences in the implementation methodology? Which additional aspects should I take into consideration? For example, the load sequence, delta type, etc.
Could you please list out the step-by-step procedures for such an implementation?

You can approach this in two ways.
1) If the volume of data is not much, you can derive the balance at query level, as follows.
User enters the date, based on this restrict your key figure to display all values less than this date.
2) If the volume of data is high, then you will have issues with performance if you are calculating the balance in the front end. In this case, you can model this with 'Non cumulative' key figure. Again there are 2 ways of approaching this back end solution based on the volume of data. ( Say in one case you have 2 years of history in your DSO and in the second case, you have 5 years of history ).
A) For example, If there are only 2 years of history
Create a non cumulative Key figure 'ZBALANCE' with inflow and outflow, in a cube.
Map this to your credit and debit as + and - respectively and map the calender day to posting date.
Just initialise the dataload with data transfer and start loading the delta as normal.
You will be able to see the balances for each and every calday in your reporting.
This approach is straight forward and simple.
Compress the cube for getting the better performance.
B) If there are 5 years of history and you are not interested in loading all the 5 years data in getting the balance
Here you want to have the initial balance, continue delta and would like to load 2 years of history.
The cube and non cumulative KF are created as mentioned above.
For generating initial balance, you have to create another DSO without calander day and ZBalance mapped to credits and debits in additive mode. Load your DSO data into this new DSO to generate initial balance. This balance will be loaded to your cube as initial balance. ( Like 2LIS_03_BX ).
You have to compress this request with marker update ( Must ).
Load your historical data for 2 years from the original DSO. Compress without marker update ( Must ).
initialise without data transfer from DSO to cube and load deltas normally.
Compress the delta requests normally for performance reasons.
Please read the 'Inventory document' in detail.

Implementing the model for workflow execution
This section discusses the modeling option we implemented with the required task iteration functions for our client. The process model we created to represent the end-to-end process, and its mapping to the client's business scenarios, are shown. A snapshot of the process model, with its process modules and activities that each of the process modules orchestrate, are also discussed.
Rationale for the choice
To implement task rework we selected Option 2, the process-subprocess approach (stop, rewind, and start). This approach allows for better process simulation that helps optimize the business process. It also helps keep the model unchanged, even after the process improvements result in less rework. Although, it is recommended that the model is cleaned up to remove the unwanted rework steps.
Rework needs will likely be reduced because rework is not typically driven by process or business conditions. It is most often caused by operational constraints and lack of full understanding of the process. The rework occurrences would diminish as users gain better understanding by using a workflow solution and by applying monitoring results to improve the business process.
The business process model developed using WBI Modeler consists of process modules identified in the process scope. The end-to-end process is created by using the process modules and business rules to help choreograph these modules in the correct sequence.
The process model approach supports execution of business process for a "happy path." The process modules are used to execute the end-to-end process for happy path and the task rework requirement. The approach also supports reusability. The model information includes organization data, process data elements, and metrics data (KPIs).
End-to-end business process model
The contract management process involves various business activities that result in creation of proposals and contracts. The activities are logically grouped into process modules, which in turn make up the end-to-end process model. A business event in the CRM system triggers the launching of the process and executes the modules and activities based on business rules. The process execution creates and assigns tasks to sales support team members, who will work and complete the tasks. The process modules are mapped to the business scenarios as shown here.

Problem in installation of Business Content for Solution Manager
Hi all,
I have a problem while trying to install the Business Content for Solution Manager. In detail, I cannot install/ see the Process chains. I am not much familiar with Business content installation, so maybe I missed and /or some step.
Following the instructions from SAP IMG (SPRO/ SAP IMG / Solution Manager / Configuration / Scenario-specific settings / Solution monitoring / BI Reporting / BI Client) , I activated the Datasource 0SM_SMG_ROOT , performed all the steps and installed all the relevant Business Objects (Infoobjects, Datasources, Infocubes, Infopackages, etc.). All the objects seen from transaction RSA1 seem correctly installed and activated.
The last step is the installation/activation of the Process chains. This step is executed, but the installation job terminates with messages like Infopackage 0SM_XXXX does not exist in D version; activation not possible. It seems like Process chains are looking for some Infopackage, and these are not present. They are not present indeed, and I dont know why. The result is that no Process chain is visible from transaction RSPC.
Am I missing some step, or doing a wrong/ incomplete procedure ?
