Problems in activation of standard cube 0SR_C01

Hi,
we are implementing BW version 7 and trying to activate the SRM BI Content InfoCube 0SR_C01 u201CProcurement Overview (aggregated)u201D with all the transformations related to it, but, even if we simulate the installation, the following dump occurs:
Error analysis
    Short text of error message:
    ATR_NAV_OF_DTA_PRO_NOT_FOUND 0GN_VENDOR__0DBGUDUNS
    Long text of error message:
    Technical information about the message:
    Message class....... "R7"
    Number.............. 000
    Variable 1.......... "ATR_NAV_OF_DTA_PRO_NOT_FOUND"

Checking the InfoObject 0GN_VENDOR we verified that it doesnu2019t have the navigational attribute 0DBGUNS. Moreover if we look for this InfoObject, the system shows the message u201CInfoObject 0DBGUDUNS is not available in version Mu201D and it isnu2019t possible to activate it from the business content because we are not able to find it (u201CNo hit foundu201D in the research pop-up).
How can I solve this issue?

I did the check you suggested me and I came out with this result:
0DBGUDUNS is a NA of this characteristics:
- 0BP_EXT
- 0CUSTOMER
- 0DBDUNS_NUM
- 0DB_BP
- 0GN_VENDOR
- 0SOLD_TO
- 0VENDOR
They are all active except 0DB_BP, but if I try to activate it, the system log shows some error messages like "Attribute 0DB87SIC1 from characteristic 0DB_BP not (actively) available".
This message is repeated for a lot of InfoObjects of Dun&Bradstreet Infoarea, but I could'nt be able to find them (so I couldn't activate them).

Problem when activating Query from Business Content

Hi Gurus,
I'm currently encountering problems when activating a query (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison) in the business content under these 2 cubes (0FIGL_VC1 and 0FIGL_VC2). Since I was told that these cubes are Virtual Cubes I also have already activated Basis Cubes (0FIGL_C01 and 0FIGL_C02) as a prerequisite of the 2 Virtual Cubes. I have also loaded the data for the 2 cubes and have encountered no problem at all.
But while activating the said Query (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison). I have encountered a problem during activation and only this error message appears 1. Error when activating element DO9NE34DKNREWIBWNVAW8BS7M (Technical Name of the Query) and 2. BEx transport request '' is not available or not suitable.
What other possible steps am I missing here?Is there anything else I should do or activate before activating the Query. Thank you again for all the help.

Do the following ->
Goto transaction RSA1 -> Transport Connection -> Edit -> Transport -> Switch On Standard.
After this try activating your Query again.

Error while transporting standard cube

Hi
We are facing errors while transporting a standard cube and all relevant objects.
While collection it throws errors saying certain routines are not active, whilst unable to find those routines.
If we ignore and transport the same, transformations es are not being transported.
How to resolve this., please provide inputs.

The error log says these objects are in repair mode in this system. I searched the system for the trnsformations, but they are not present. How do we resolve these
This only means that the objects were changed directly in the target system (could be QA or prod) and are captured in some request. You need to find the relevant request on the target system and take the appropriate action. You could chose to delete the request or transport it from QA to Prod.
Find the requests on the target system and you will see the tranaformations collected. However, it is not going to be an easy taskl for you to find as the TR will be with the technical name. But this is definitely the reason for the error.

Opening standard cubes in SAP BW

Hi all,
I'm new at SAP BW and I'm trying to start the load of a standard cube (the example is 0OPA_C02).
I've added the infopackage with datasource (0CO_OM_OPA_4) but in fact I don't know if this is correct and according with best practices.
Also, I believe is necessary to create a DTP but When I try to create it creates automatically a new transformation and doesn't use the standard one.
What am I doing wrong?

Actually you are facing the DTP problem just because one transformation is missing (TRCS) which I mentioned before. First of all let me know when you installed the cube which option did you choose "Data Flow before or Only Necessary Objects"? Coz when you are creating the transformations by your own, it means you havn't installed the update rules or (in 7.x architecture) Transformations. Also when you cannot find the transformation TRCS it is most probably your data source is 3.x and you are trying to implement 7.x data flow on it. To verify that kindly right click on your datasource and check if you can see the Migrate option in context menu. If it is there then it means your data source is for 3.x data flow and you need to migrate it first for using with 7.x dataflow. If you don't see the option MIGRATE there and if you dont wanna go for strandard installation of update rules or transformation thn just right click on the desired cube and choose create transformation from the context menu. It will create the transformation (which name would be starting from TRCS) and after that when you will create the DTP, you will face no error. Second way is to install the update rules or transformations from BI content of the desired cube and then create the DTP. What I recommend is first you check if the data source is 3.x or 7.x and after that go to BI content and install the update rules/transformations according to its data flow version. In case of any query/confusion let me know.

PROBLEM IN ACTIVATION OF A CLASS WHICH IS COPIED FROM STD CLASS

std class: CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES
The class has got some protected methods and attributes.
here i'm getting following error whenever i try to activate the class:
1) access to protected method "CALL METHOD" is not allowed.
2) access to protected attribute "H_CONTROL" is not allowed.

i am not sure abt d way u hv coded, but there are some basic stuffs wic need to be taken care of:
1: access 2 protected methods are allowed by self class or its inherited classes. it ca't e accessed from outside class. also protected methods can b accessed from FRIEND class. please use inherited class objects to access protected attribute or methods...
2: also i have found that class implementation or declaration or method declaration can't be done inside PERFORM routines... try to avoid using forms.....
more info can be given if i get the exact code..

Problem while activating Custom Include

Hi,
My requirement is to make a copy of standard include (V50R_ON_OUTPUT) into ZV50R_ON_OUTPUT.
And to add this custom include in another copy of the main program ZRVV50R10C (copied from RVV50R10C).
But am facing problem when activating the custom main program ZRVV50R10C.
Can anyone faced similar issue(as it contains many enhancements, may be the cause)?

The issue am facing is when activating it getting error as "Data not defined". like ( t_prof1 = %_p_prof1_%_app_%-text.) of the statndard include.
do i need to add anything in declaration part also?

Problem in activating Global status of a switch "INS_FSCD"

In Tcode SFW1 there is a switch named INS_FSCD which
is activated in development client. Now i am checking
it in the PRD client in PRD its global status is switched off.
This problem is coming when we are activating the standard structure
named SI_ISC_CORR which is a part of a VVKKVTRG (transparent table).
How can we switch it on PRD Server?

when iam trying to generate report from R/3 standard cubes of HR in BEX ,it is showing an error in hirarchies given below:

Please do changes to the hierarchy and attach a proper hierarchy.

Hi,
Are you getting the error while trying to activate the DSO data after loading or just while trying to activate the DSO itself.
If it is during the activation of a request,then please check if you have loaded some data in the DSO which doesnt have the corresponding Master Data loaded.For preventing this, you can check in Infopackage/DTP -"No Update without Master Data".
You can also go into RSRV and perform elementary tests for the DSO and check the SID table consistency.

I am facing a problem while activating message mapping in IR.It says Object being edited by XXXX and cannot be activated.It's giving my user name itself and even it doesn't allow to go to edit mode even.But I am not opening it twice.How to monitor all the XI users logged into the XI system and find the users using IR and ID objects.Please help in this regard.

Problem in activation of communication structure.

Hi frnds,
I have a problem in activation of comm. structure.
Am on Version 3.5.
Its a master data mapping using flexible update.
So i have mapped all the relevant object in the same order as that of csv source file.
But for 1 field, I have a requirement wherein I should write a transfer routine.
So for that single field i have written the code and ACTIVATED the structure.(I got the prompt that Infosource activated)
But when I saw the infosource in Infosource tab, its in White colour(rathar then green). I suppose this means that the infosource is still not activated.
Please let me know what is the problem behind. And also I am not able to activate the Infosource.

Creation of DSO for a standard cube

Hi All,
I am new in BI modeling area & looking for help from you experts. What I have to do is , I need to create a DSO for a standard Cube 0PS_CS01.
In this I am doing is to take that data source which is in BI content for this Cube and from there I am extracting data fields and keyfields. Once this DSO is ready I will create update rules from this standard Data source to this newly created to DSO and after that I will create Update rules for Cube based on this DSO.
Can you guys help me to find the best way to collect keyfields & data fields based on the data source. Also suggest me if it is the right way to design data model fot the same as I desribed above.
All helpful replies will be appriciated with points.

1>double click on cube(0PS_CS01) --copy all characteristics(these will be key fields in DSO).
DSO only take 16 key fields so rest will go under data fields.most unique 16 fields will go under key fields.
2.all the keyfigues will go under data fields of DSO.
change settings and activate DSO.create transformations between (DSO and DS) and ( DSO and CUBE);
Hope this helps.
if you need further info just check these two 0FIAP_C03(cube) and 0FIAP_O03(DSO).compare the characteristics and key figure with the key fields and data fields respectively.you will get good idea.
in the above cube the data flow is like DS-DSO-CUBE

I can't imagine any worse workflow than converting to JPEG to edit text, then back to PDF. Text in a PDF is a vector thing, smooth at all resolutions. And JPEG is made for photos. EVERY conversion to JPEG and back loses quality but how much loss there is will vary.
If you must go to an image format, try PNG.

Problem in activating 0sd_c03 IC

Here i am facing problem in activating BC IC 0sd_c03 .I have installed the IC with data flow before and when i migrate from 3.5 to 7 . here for the datasource 2lis_13_vditm , the transfer rules are migrated successfully but here i am getting problem when i create transformation on update rule . The problem is with the routine net weight kg,gross weight kg and with the volume . here that infoobject has some routine in update rule and when i created the transformation , in that transformation there is no routine for that infoobject and also there is no mapping present for that infoobject . plz help me in solving this.

Hi Ravi,
If you any start routine written on your Update rules or transformations, then when you open that one you will have Display start routine.
If you don't have any routines, then you will have create start routine which implies it doesn't contain any start routine.If you want you can create start routine by click on create start routine.
Creating routines is purely based on business requirement.
when we go for creating routines:
1)If you want to populate some new filed in target based on 2 or 3 fields from source.
2)If you want to delete some records based on certain condition
there are few more scenarios

If it is enough of one to one mapping for you business, then no need to use any routines just do one to one mapping in transformation
