Problems in extraction from CRM to BW

Hi Experts,
This is my first post to sdn and i am very happy to do that. I have problems in extarcting the data from CRM to BW they are:
1)While checking the datasource(ex:0crm_lead_h) in BW Adapter:Maintain Datasource(Trc bwa1) it is giving an error saying that:"The information that a field of the extract structure could be selected by or is hidden from BW is stored in both tables: SMOXRELP and ROOSFIELD. And this error occurs if these two tables have different informations" and also "No Mapping found for the extract field END_CUSTOMER etc."
2)I Replicated datasource from CRM to bw and assigned it to Infosource and than activated Transfer rules but i got warnings when i checked them in LOG it says that "ConvExits for assigned InfoObjects inconsistent: ''(KS:0CRM_OBJ_ID)-ALPHA(TS:0CRM_OBJ_ID)" etc.

If its an InfoObject, right-click on the infoobject and select 'Activate Master Data'?

Data Extraction from CRM to BW

Hi,
I just need some information/help on BW Data Extraction from CRM, it would be great if some one could help out or mail some related help documents.
Currently we are implementing the complaints module in CRM simultaneously on the BW side we have identified an info cube for complaints 0CSAL_C09, but this cube and its ODS source does not have all the required fields like (newly created text types, serial number etc), so how these tables and fields can be identified in the source system and added to extract structure in CRM. Also what is the table in which the CRM transaction data would be stored.
Especially i require the newly added text types in CRM to appear in BW, there are around 5 new text types are added and user can enter free text, i need these information to be captured in reports. kindly mail me the steps to [email protected]

Data Extraction from CRM

Hello Experts,
I am presently working on data extraction from CRM system. I understand that there are three ways of data extraction from the CRM system:
i) Using Middleware integration
ii) CRM BI integration through XI
iii) Generic ETL process as used when extracting data from other SAP systems
Can anyone please suggest which one is the best method to follow and why?

Hi,
The Third option is the best one I would say.
Why to use any other way line XI integration or anything like that which involves more complexity in terms of development , maintenance and most importantly COST. SAP is providing you the standard set of extractors, it will be a wise choice.

Scheduled even for an extract from CRM OD

Hi all,
I need to extract in a scheduled manner data from CRM OD. An example may be that each day i need to extract all new accounts from CRM OD and put this info in an excel file.
Now, I can develop a web services that can do this, but the problem is that web services from my point of view can't be used to extract massive volume of data. Any alternative idea?Thanks.Massimo

Delta Problems in Extraction of CRM data to BW

Dear Gurus, Arun,
We are using CRM 4.0 and BW 3.5 version
Process Chains are scheduled to extract
delta records every day from CRM to BW production server.
For the Opportunities report, we are facing a problem.
For a Customer "XYZ Corporation"
A correct Opportunity is displayed
with expected sales volume = 50,000 USD
and status = "WON"
and number of opportunities = 1.
But the same Opportunity report shows
Customer "XYZ Corporation"
also displays a record with
status "ACTIVE" and expected sales volume Amount 0 USD
and number of opportunities = 0
There is only 1 current transaction existing in CRM server
relevant to these 2 records displayed in BW .

This Error happens for 10 to 20% of total Opportunities displayed

Since the data in Info Cube is looking Good,
and only some of the BW reports are having error records.

In the BEx Query
I can filter the records having
"Opportunities = 0 "
Only records with Opportunity >= 1 will be displayed
Kindly advice if this is a Good solution ?
Any inherent defects in this Workaround plan ?

Problem in extracting from the import transport set

i am exporting all of the major page groups and providers from my source box to the target machine. both are using the same version database, app server and portal version 904.
for one of the biggest provider, i created transport sets in the export system, ran the script for NT to create a dump file. moved dump files to the import system, imported its transport set from this file. now i am trying to extract the imported transport set.
here i am facing problems one after the other.
1. first is this that this extraction from the import transport set is costing too much time. more than 36 hours have already passed and it has not finished.
2. it does seem to populate though as after several hours i see the log file with its lines showing a message like .... 'importing component ... so and so ... '. however, the whole process is not finishing or going fast. there is no other process running on this target box.
3. and surprisingly, the log files update the start time of the script every few hours.
can somebody please help? this is a very time-sensitive request.

if i remember exactly i thought this error due to field selections in R/3 whatever the fields u have given in selection tab in rsa3 in ECC give the same selections while scheduling the infopackage than u can able to see the records in psa for full load.
after doing dis still problem persists revert me.

Steps for Extracting data from CRM:
Configuration Steps
1.Click on ->Assign Dialog RFC destination
If your default RFC destination is not a dialog RFC destination, you need to create an additional dialog RFC destination in addition and then assign it to your default RFC destination
2.Execute Transaction SBIW in CRM
3.Open BC DataSources.
4.Click on Transfer Application Component Hierarchy
Application Component hierarchy is transferred.
5.SPRO in CRM .Go to CRM->CRM Analytics
6.Go to transaction SBIW-> Settings for Application specific Data Source ->Settings for BW adapter
7.Click on Activate BW Adapter Metadata
Select the relevant data sources for CRM sales
8.Click on Copy data sources
Say yes and proceed
9.Logon to BW system and execute transaction RSA1.
Create a source system to establish connectivity with CRM Server
A source system is created. (LSYSCRM200)(Prerequisites: Both BW and CRM should have defined Back ground, RFC users and logical systems)
10.Business content activation for CRM sales area is done
11.Click on source system and choose replicate datasources.

Problems in Extraction of CRM data to BW

Hi Gurus,
I am new to BW and I have a doubt,is it possible to extract realtime data from CRM to BW after the next minute of the insertion of data in CRM If not what will be the time duration between the data entry in CRM and to extract that data to BW. Lets say endusers have created BP/Activity in CRM at 5pm and I need to pull deltas to BW at 5:02 pm as they want report on it at 5:15pm is it possible if not what will be the gap between the realtime data entry and extraction of that data to BW. Would anyone please explain me in detail. I appreciate it in advance.

Problem in extracting from R/3

when i extract data from r/3 only data is requested and i do nat get the cube updated can u tell me the steps to extract data from r/3 using views also the configuration of bw to r/3.

The steps are as follows:
1. Go to RSO2 and give the name of the datasource (master/transaction).
2. It would take to the screen where you need to give the application component and the view name.
3. In the details page of the datasource select the options you want.
4.Activate the datasource.
This completes the steps on R/3.
BW Steps
1. Create the info-objects which would be associated with the fields coming in from R/3.
2.In the Source Systems tab od RSA1 -> Replicate the data source by selecting the application component.
3. Right click on the Data source and create the transfer rules.
4.You would be mapping the data source fields with the info-objects you created.
5. Transfer the fields and create the communication structure.
6.Create the cube and the update rules.
7. Create the info-package and then load the data in the cube by scheduling it.
I have made only a brief mention of the steps. In case of any clarification revert back.

FI-GL(Income Statements) problems while extracting from R/3?

Hi Guru's,
I will be working on FI-Gl(Income Statement) for the first time, could someone please tell me what problems i would face when getting data from R/3.
I have read that they are few problems in transferring Special Ledger Data from R/3.
Like:
The option for delta updates was not chosen in view of the following limitations
     The BALANCE field in the transfer structure will not be supplied with data during Delta upload. Special update rules will be required in order to populate the field.
     Deletion transactions are not connected to the Delta method.
Please do help me I will thank you guru's with assigning points.

When I check SAP Help, it tell me that 0FI_GL_1 has been replaced by 0FI_GL_6?
Prakash : 0FI_GL_6 wont bring data for all currency types unless you specifically pull data for those currency types from your infopackae seletction (we are on BW 3.5)?
K3R :     We are also on BW 3.5. could please explain further regarding pulling data for currency from infopackage?
I am trying to do the whole process of collecting data, creating Cubes and reports. As i have mentioned I am new to FI. Trying to understand the process.

Best practice to create order extract from CRM to Business Objects

Is there a "best practice" to extract orders created/changed on a daily basis to Business Objects. We have considered trying to use the standard CRM BI extractors, but we are not sure this is possible without actually running a SAP BI system. Is there a way to extract data already captured in the BDOCs.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Our dev landscape(on windows environment) looks like:
CRM ABAP - WAS 620 - ABAP box
CRM J2EE - WAS 640 ABAP+J2EE - Java Box
I don't know if you can install the 640 J2EE WAS on the same box as a 620 ABAP Box. However you should be able to use the 640 J2EE environment with CRM(we are using it productive).
We are running non-IDES 4.0SP8.
It would probably be easier if you have two boxes to install the ABAP on one box, and the J2EE on another box, for better performance. I do remember also there are some restrictions on TREX/IPC/etc being on the same box if you are using all the functionality provided. We currently don't use CRM for "pricing-relevant" transactions.

I am trying to use generic extractor MDMGX traction and created Object, Port, Repository entries..
When I try to execute generic extract it is giving me error saying :
Am I missing some thing? I created the Object, Repository and FTP Server, Upload Port and Check Tables then I want to execute Generate XSD.
NO Customizing extraction found for this object.

D you want to extract data or you want to Generate xsd for the same?? PLs clarify because you are executing generae esd button.
If you want to extract data then Also chck wheather you have the config dat available in system.
