Problems in IE9 32 bit browser but not 64 bit
When I delete a message(s) in Yahoo Mail or when I go to my mortgage website and login, I get a blank page and then nothing happens. I only get this problem in IE9 32 bit and not 64 bit. I reset IE9 Options under the advanced tab, updated Java
and Adobe, but the problem still persists. I also did a viral scan using MSE and MalwareBytes and my computer is clean. Can someone help. Thank you
IE9 is fairly old, upgrade you browser.

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:

I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.

After "upgrading" to new firefox none of my bookmarks are in new bookmarks help topics tell me how to import from another browser but not from previous version of firefox. Another problem is my anti virus ( most up to date) is apparently not compatible with 4.0 liked the old firefox would never have "upgraded" had I known my anti virus wouldn't work. Can I get old version backCheck with Kaspersky as to what versions of Firefox their programs are compatible with. It is up to Kaspersky to keep their stuff up to date as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox. And if they are unwilling or incapable of doing it, they should inform their customers of such and maybe refund their customers instead of stringing them along.

couldn't find the adequate forum. I run win 8.1 and the adobe acrobat dc app on my computer doesn't access the doc cloud. I can´t turn the mobile link on. I can access the cloud from my browser, but not from the desktop app. I can access from my mobile app.
Can you please post a screenshot of your Acrobat DC when launched, without opening a PDF?

Why does windows have 64-bit iTunes but not mac?
I can't believe it. I searched the archives here and someone said because most people don't have 64-bit compatible machines. Then why does Windows get separate versions but not the native OS?
I'm running audio hardware optimized for 64-bit (drivers) but the sound quality of iTunes is worse in 64-bit than in 32-bit.
Anyone have any knowledge when 64-bit is going to be released?iTunes is only 32 bit for Windows OS and Mac OS.
The 64bit version for Windows simply includes 64 bit drivers. The application itself is only 32 bit. -
Trying to boot iMac in 64 bit mode, but not successful
Hello:
I am trying to boot my iMac in 64 bit mode. I have done some research and I am getting conflicting answers. Most of what I am finding says:
1. Must have an Intel Core 2 Duo: I do
2. My efi must be 64: It is
3. Must have Snow Leopard installed: I am running 10.6.2
I am running what is described as an iMac 7.1, which in theory would not be allowed to run in 64 bit mode. Also, starting up while holding the 6 and 4 keys does not force my machine to start up in 64 bit.
Any ideas/explanations as to what might be going on?

you need imac early 2008 or later to be able to boot into 64-bit mode. but as WBW already mentioned there is no reason to actually do it unless you have loads of RAM and some RAM hungry 64-bit apps optimized to use loads of RAM. -
Unwanted source code appears in browser but not in Dreamweaver Code Window
I am using templates and css, and Dreamweaver to build a new website of about 20 pages. With the first several pages, everything was working well. Then as I continued to add pages, I started to notice some code appearing at the bottom of web pages (under the footer), and then, a page duplicating the footer, and then, the drop-down function on the index page not working (pulls down and pops right back up) while headers on other pages work fine. I viewed the source code in the browsers (IE and Firefox) and I see the extra code at the bottom. However, this code doesn't show up in Dreamweaver, or, when I open the files in Notepad.
Following is an example of the different bottom-most lines of code in the Firefox browser compared to what I see in Dreamweaver or Notepad (note the highlighted line that is not showing up in Notepad or Dreamweaver).

i was having the same issues through many dreamweaver upgrades and kept running into the same problem (only on my Mac though - PC never gave me trouble). anyway, my hard drive recently died and i had a brand new one installed and then i installed a fresh version of CS5. started building a page and ran into the same problem. now that this is happening on a new drive with a fresh OS and reinstalled software, i needed to look elsewhere.
the problem is so simple you will more than likely cry at the amount of time you have wasted on it. more than likely if this is happening to you, you are working off of a network drive or a server. all my files are stored on a server locally, so when i make a change it is saving to the server. either a bad or slow connection to the server and/or a server going bad will cause this issue.
take the same file that you are having problems with and save down to your desktop - then preview in a browser. so the solution is to build the entire site on your local drive and then FTP up to the live site when complete.

Pictures round-tripped to Elements are correct in Browser but not in Viewer

This is a bit weird. When I edit a photo in Photoshop Elements 10 (and then "save" and thereby send it back to Aperture), the edited photo shows up correctly edited in the Aperture browser, but it's uncorrected in the viewer. I always use the "Split View," and so the corrected photo appears among the thumbnails, but when I click on it, the photo in the viewer doesn't have the PSE corrections! Weird. This worked well for many many months, but now doesn't seem to work. If I close out of Aperture and come back in, the photos are correct in the viewer and the browser. Any ideas? (These are correctly saved -- not "saved as" -- in Photoshop. And it worked well for months. No need to discuss saving and round-tripping.) Thank you!Mark,

Responsive Mobile Menus: Open and close on browser, but not in mobile?
I have two responsive jquery menus I am working with. In the desktop browser they both look and operate fine (full screen and mobile size), but when that same responsive page with menu is viewed on an actual phone (Android and iphone), the menus both: SHOW FULLY OPENED WITH ALL PARENT AND CHILDREN?
I believe I installed everyting properly (especially since it resizes and works perfect in a normal desk browser) -Dropsdown and Contracts back.
Does anyone have any experience with this issue (Responsive menus works fine in a desktop browser, but shows completely opened, and will not drop or contract when viewed on an actual mobile phone, like Android or iphone?), and if so any guidance?

I don't know if I have the capability to fully do in something like notepad? Will this method (Boiler, JS, and blank HTML) suffice--No other Scripts--Not even my stylesheet?

Camera raw update problem loaded on cs6 32bit but not the default 64bit.
Hi to all.
Can you help? I recently updated to 8.8 camera raw after buying a new camera and there was a problem with the installation. It told me that there was a problem writing to cs6. I clicked ignore an the installation completed. The problem is that it has updated to the 32bit version but still shows 7.1 on the 64bit (default). I am running on windows 7 64 bit. Any hel[p with a solution would be appreciated.

I did a bit more research on the forum and found a discussion referring to pse which gave instruction to open the archive on the camera raw exe. file and manually copy the 8bi files into the correct location in the C drive eg:

Wait for it this didn't work and completely removed camera raw from the about plugin menu on ps6 64 bit. It worked on cs6 32 bit.
The solution was to then reinstall the plugin via the installation .exe file and all was back as it should be. The only problen now is that adobe bridge has the camera raw preferences greyed out.....I am working on a fix for this and will post if I find it. I hope this helps someone.Hi Michelle
I am new to the forum so I apologise. I should have mentioned in my update that the installer that fixed the problem was the ACR 9.0. I had originally used the 8.8 installer which caused the problem from ACR 7.1.
Initially the installer didn't work 64 bit version still had 7.1 but it installed ACR 9.0 on the 32 bit. I then proceeded to manually unzip the exe file ACR 9.0 and coped the 8bi file to the locations stated in my update. This didn't affect the 32 bit cs6 but completely removed ACR from the 64 bit. I re ran the ACR 9.0.exe file and everything was fixed.
I hope that this makes sense. I have now developed a problem on Bridge though. I can open raw file in photoshop but I can't view previews and the camera raw preferences are greyed out. I have read elsewhere that other people have had the same problem. -

If you can't then try to:
add Host field
add Cookies if present
add Referer
add User-Agent
Some clever servers check all these fields for some reasons (prevent silly attacks for example and successfully as I can see...)
Then ask again.
One more - are you sure you use correct content format? And last - how do you know it doesn't work with remote server? Exactly? -
Start Up disk problem following kernel panic-mounts but not as a boot drive
I have a problem that I can't solve.
Dual processor G4 with 3 hard drive, all of which are bootable drives with 10.4.7 installed:
A- my primary boot drive - internal SCSI drive (Adaptec PowerDomain 2930U PCI card);
B - internal hard drive that came with the G4; and
C - external Firewire hard drive
Recently, I booted into my B drive and it locked up after it went into sleep mode. On reboot, I experienced a number of kernel panic messages, prompting me to restart my computer.
PROBLEM: Since that time, I have not been able to get my A drive to once again be the Startup Disk.
Diagnostic steps that I have performed:
i. I have run and re-run Disk Warrior from a bootable CD and the A drive as well as the other 2 hard drives mount and are "repaired" by DiskWarrior.
ii. TechTools Pro shows no hardware problems and whatever glitches it has found were repaired.
iii. Disk Utilities consistently returns "Volume passed verification."
iv. Zapped the PRAM
The A drive does mount and is accessible whenever either the B drive or the C drive is the bootable drive.
System Preferences/Startup Disk lists the A drive as a candidate whenever either the B drive or the C drive is the bootable drive. However, when the A drive is selected in System Preferences, on reboot, it doesn't become the boot drive.
I have tried to restart and hold the "C" key down so that I might possibly be able to select the boot drive from A, B or C. But the C key method doesn't produce the intended result, only reverting back to the boot drive in power prior to the reboot. That occurs whether the boot drive is B or C.
At that stage, rightfully or wrongfully, since the problem persisted whether the B or C drives were the startup disk I concluded that the problem could be hardware related and not software related.
On one of the reboots following the kernel panics, a Crash Report was produced - the verbiage
which is code related and so far above my knowledge and experience that it is incomprehensible to me. I can post it separately if helpful but it won't fit in this email message due to restrictions on length of messages.
I haven't had a kernel panic following any of the last 50+ restarts that have accompanied my attempted diagnostics.
Finally, I ran the Apple Hardware Test, version 1.2.6, that came with my G4. First, I removed all peripherals except the monitor, keyboard and mouse (plugged into the keyboard), the Adaptec SCSI card, and a 3rd party FW/USB2 PCI card (OrangeLink+). I ran the Extended Test and an error code was generated during the logic board test: Error Code fire/5/2
That gave me some hope. I next removed the 3rd party FW/USB2 PCI card (OrangeLink+) and re-ran the Apple Hardware Test and no error were reported. Both the logic board and memory passed. I ran the extended test twice, each time no error.
Ah, did that solve my problem? I rebooted and I still cannot get my A drive to be the Startup Disk.
Next, I ran the Rember software (a GUI app for Memtest) and the RAM checked out as fine.
At this stage I don't have a clue. The white towel is about to be waved.
If the problem is the Adaptec SCSI card, I don't know how to test it since it obviously has to be installed to enable drive A to mount.
Does anyone have any suggestions?I am the original poster on this thread.
Turns out that the culprit behind all my boot problems was the battery on my 5 year old Quicksilver G4. Replaced the battery and all is back to normal.
FWIW, for any Quicksilver owners with SCSI cards, be aware that you can create boot problems for your SCSI drive by zapping your PRAM. As part of my diagnostics I did zap the PRAM but that turned out not to be a problem.
Adaptec's site does include a workaround should you have problems after zapping the PRAM. This specifically covers the PowerDomain 29160 SCSI card/2930U card, which I have. -
Allow a document to be viewed in the browser but not downloaded to the local machine
I have SharePoint 2013 deployed and RMS integration enabled. and am willing to install Office Web Apps. I want to enable users to view documents in the browser only but not be able to download them to their desktops. This would mean there is no "save
as" button in the browser-based viewer and no ability to download the documents to the desktop to be used with the desktop Office apps (word, Excel, etc.).
I understand that I need RMS and Office Web Apps to do this. Could someone please confirm if I'm able to accomplish the goal above and, if so, how I do it?

The only way to allow users to read but not edit or print a file would be to implement Windows Rights Management. You can read about that here:

It won't be doable with SharePoint permissions only as, even with read only, the documents is still downloaded to the client cache to read and as such can still be retrieved from there.
