Problems in Lumia 610

Hi,
I have purchased Lumia 610 recently. I m facing few problems in this handset.
1. Nokia Music is not all working, showing me as 0 tracks are available. There is no store nor Mix Radio in Nokia Music. Nokia Music is provided free in Low end models like Asha model which cost 5,000 INR, then why not is it available in my handset which cost nearly 13,000INR
2. Not able to connect Network data properly. I have contacted my Network provider, they told problem is with handset and not from network side.
3.Hanging Problem is a lot in this handset. Whenever I click on back button it takes atleast 20 seconds to come to main screen.
4. No call end Summary.
I have taken this handset to Nokia Care. Service adviser who attended was least bothered and he did not even answer properly for the problems facing meby using this handset.
I know few basic features are not available in Lumia 610, but alteast features which are present in handset should work properly. I am not even able to connect to data network, this is really pathetic. This makes me very very uncomfortable by using this handset. I still feel I have taken wrong decision by choosing Nokia Handsets.
I request you guys to check the condition of the handset before releasing in the market.
I request you guys to have a look at this problem and let me know with a proper solution.

Data Roaming Problems with Lumia 610 and 710 phone...

Data Roaming problem with Lumia Wndows 7.5 phones. We have a Lumia 710 and also 610 phones on Virgin pay monthly sim cards. We cannot get data raoming to work on either phone. We have tried in a number of locations in France and Switzerland. Virgin confirm roaming and data roaming are set up on our account.
- I have purchased Data Passes.
- Settings>Mobile Network active network shows current operator
- Data Connection is on,
- Data roaming option shows "roam",
- highest connection speed is 3G,
- network selection is automatic.
- Flight mode is off.
- Account settings are ok because everything works on Wifi.
- Connection has been full bars showing 3G.
- I have tried hard resets of phone, manual network selection, deleted browsing history,
- phone software reports that it is up to date,
- I have run Network Setup which confirms phone has been updated network settings for relevant operator.
- Telephone calls to Virgin from Switzerland could not resolve the problem.
- Discussions with Virgin since returning home have not been able to solve the problem. It seems to be an issue with Lumia phones.
Can anyone help please? Nokia - why doesn't this work on your phones?

I'm like what an OS this phone has. All I can say is that if you own MS stock dump it fast as the OS on this phone is so bad its not even funny.
I think what they are trying to do here is a last ditch attempt to capture the online services market but it isn't going to work, because they have made this OS to weird.
I'm a pretty seasoned user and I generally am able to get gadgets to work but dudes this puppy is something else. I have 14 days to exchange it so Im going to give it my best shot for another couple of days and see where it goes.
The phone itself is pretty decent otherwise I would have returned on the 2nd day. Its pretty fast and the screen is nice and bright and if not some major concerns I wouldn't be a complaining.
1st} There is no way to import your bookmarks into the phone without using a online service.
2nd} I haven't been able to successfully export my old contact list from my LG P500 Android.
The 710 seems to only use contacts that are stored on online services even though I have imported my contacts using the Contact transfer function on the phone.
3rd)The phone won't shut off while charging even if you shut the phone down , plug it in and it turns on no matter what you do.
The Zune software is all glitter and no meat too unfortunately.
I really wanted an alternative and the phone is such good value and a local new Provider has a 27 $ a month unlimited everything, but luckily they have a 14 day phone exchange policy.
I'm going to keep for a few more days and see if I can get it to work the way i want it to.

Nokia lumia 610 power button problem

Hi,
It has been more than a year since i have been using my nokia lumia 610 but from few days i have been experiencing a problem with my phone . sometimes power button becomes too sensitive and it becomes like a touch button , Also , it turns off by itself And while starting , it reaches upto nokia logo and then vibrate and turns off.
now phone working fine, "this problem started when my phone fall down like 50 cm high to ground".

We can't verify yet if the issue is hardware or software related unless confirmed by Nokia authorized technicians. Just keep monitoring the phone's performance. If the issue happens again, best to try the troubleshooting steps shown at this link first further isolate it: Your Windows Phone 8 doesn't work or respond as expected

Hi, yesterday I bought lumia 610. I tried to connect via Bluetooth with another nokia devices but Lumia 610 can’t connect.

Thanks for your feedback and welcome to the forum.
Windows Phone does not support file transfer through Bluetooth, you can however use Skydrive, attach images and Office documents to a mail or transfer media files using Zune.
Custom ringtones can be used as general or contact specific tones, more information can be found here.
Windows Phone synchronizes contacts and calendars live and in real time with Outlook without the need to actually have the phone connected to your PC running Outlook by using a Wi-Fi or Mobile data connection. You can find more information on this here.

Nokia lumia 610 shutdown problem

Sorry if that's not the right place to create the discussion, but doesn't know where else... Before near 1-2 hours, my phone started shutting down automatically. I'm turned it on and it shutted down again. Before near 5 minutes i resetted it... but i still have that problem.. can someone tell me if there is a solution?

Did something happen to your Lumia 610 before this issue came up? To clarify, the phone completely turns off and not just a regular screen time-out, is that right? You mentioned that you reset the phone after the issue happened. Is it the one under Settings > About?
Is your phone already running the latest software version? If yes, you may try to restore the previous software version. Check this link for the procedure: Restoring a backup to your phone - WP7.5. After that, monitor the Lumia 610 and see if the issue will continue to happen.

Lumia 610 problem: volume went 0 by itself

Problem:
Volume went to 0 by itself and it could not be increased. In this mode also the alarm clock was silent (normal I guess, if the volume is 0). Reboot helped.
Longer story:
Last night I put the phone charging. In the morning I woke up an hour late to notice that both my alarms had been "ringing", silently though. I saw 2 screens, one after another, about the alarm clock (I have two alarms ringing) and dismissed them. The thin information block on top of the screen was constantly showing, volume 0/30 and silent mode. When I added the volume, I saw a change from 0 to 1, but then it went back to zero and silent. When the information block did roll up, i.e. when I pressed the back key, there was always another one beneath it. I restarted the phone, and then was able to adjust volume.
I am certain that I did have the volume set above 10 in the evening and silent mode was not selected. And I'm pretty sure that I would have woke up, if the alarm had been actually ringing.

Reinstall the software firmware may solve the issue. If it does not solve the issue, try resetting your phone (It will delete all your data, so create the backup data in your PC).
If neither works, bring it to Nokia Care to check of your Lumia 610 issue.

You will find (Xbox live) games in Marketplace. When you tap the Xbox Tile on the startscreen you will find a number of apps ready to click for download or you can tap 'Select more games' to go to the games section in Window Phone Marketplace. You will need a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to download content from Marketplace.

Nokia Lumia 610

So i've been trying to update my nokia Lumia 610 to the latest version ( 7.10) and i keep get the
801812C1 problem... ive done the solution that http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2484484?toggle=step801812C1#801812C1 suggests and still i cant update my phone.. I hard reset it and tryed again still the problem exists! I dont use the original usb cable that came with the box i bought i dont know if this is a problem.
I would really like someone to helpme since i have the phone nearly for 1 year and i dont wanna change it!

Latest version for the 610 is WP 7.8

You cannot download video files on Nokia Lumia 610, but you can, however, stream supported videos by opening them in the browser. If you want to get a video file on your device, you'll need to transfer it using Zune or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac (can be downloaded on AppStore). Please see here for instructions on how to synchronise content using Zune.

Nokia lumia 610 randomly dials numbers

I have a Nokia Lumia 610 and for some odd reason last two weeks it randomly dials numbers either mobile or landline. When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after another.
Switched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. Anyone ever come across this and is it fixable

Do you have a screen protector on the screen? Sometimes a screen protector can do selections on it's on, especially if it is of a lower quality. If so, try to remove the film to see if it fixes the issue.
You could try to reset your phone, which will reinstall the operating system on the phone. To reset your phone, go to settings > about > reset your phone. It is recommended to synchronise all your media files before doing this, as it will remove all user files on the phone. Please note that you will lose all your text messages in the process.

Lumia 610 - How to extend ring and Nokia Suite iss...

Hi there thought I would give you try again as you were very helpful to me in the past I have just taken delivery of nokia lumia 610, I know not the latest phone but for what I want I reckon it will suit however I have encountered 2 problems First is there any way you can extend the length of time it rings before it goes to voicemail it only rings 3 times on my phone Secondly nokia suite just does not seem to recognize my phone I follow all the instructions but it just will not connect    I have tried uninstall/reinstall but nothing works I right click on the phone symbol to add new phone, connect my USB as it says and nothing happens. I am not all that tech savy so if you have answer in layman's terms it would be appreciated

this is the worst nokia i have had, except the slide phone i had for 13 months that lost its speaker. i cant believe that the ring time cant be extended, this would be the only product on the world market that cant extend it ring time. i dont see your technical help answering the question.

My Lumia 610 having Internet sharing intermittent ...

I am Using Lumia 610 which i bought in may this year. I am using its internet sharing feature with my samsung tab and any other anroid phones with no problem at all. No connectivity issues. I can hook up internet anytime through lumia sharing. i did not accounter any problem until until recently i start using window 7 pc. I made a few succesfull connection already....but i notice some time it didnt work...., it very frustrating when i really need it but it didnt work. I did some trouble shooting with my pc like system restore, switch on and off the phones, and making conection with my droid. You know what it works wit droid but not my PC.

The Nexus 7 will not detect ad hoc networks so simple answer is no.

Lumia 610 Can't End Calls

Hi,
I just got my Lumia yesterday evening. I'm from Malaysia by the way. The problem presist whenever I'm making a call or even when someone calls me, I can't seem to end the calls. Whenever I'm making an outgoing calls, the screen goes blank, and all the buttons including the back, home and search buttons becomes unresponsive. The only way to end calls is to wait for the other party to end the call, or I just have to wait until the dial tones end. What if the other party has their voicemail enabled? I have to wait until the voicemail call ends, then only I can continue using my phone. either those or I just had to switch off the phone by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.
please rectify and solve this issue immediately.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum.
Did you leave the factory screen protector on or did you place a 3rd party protector? What you describe is often caused by the screen protector covering the proximity sensor. On the Lumia 610 this protector is on the top-left on the front.
You can test the sensor by entering ##634# and starting the proximity test. A yellow circle should appear and when you move your hand over the sensor it should turn green. If it comes up and stays green the sensor is either blocked or defective. In that case make sure it is free and if it is return to your supplier or visit a Nokia Care Point.

NOKIA LUMIA 610,I need a Change.........Symbian is...

When I bought the phone Lumia 610 2 days ago (5-Aug-2012),I was very happy and thought that Like the N72 (my previous mobile) this one will be much better and I buy it,just because it has the BRAND NAME "NOKIA" ,but now I regret it that WHY I have not checked online regarding its various issues.Most importantly its bluetooth problem.
Now if I need to transfer any file of various extension viz. *.jpg,,*.xls,*.doc,etc. from my friend,I will have to ask him to either mail me or to use "SKYDRIVE",and we all know for sure that every one does not have an account on "SKYDRIVE" and both "SKYDRIVE" and "E-Mail" need internet connection,and in India,internet connection in mobile is not common.Don't to yu all think it is more time consuming to upload a file and download the same (which again depend upon the internet connection & speed) than sending it through bluetooh .when I know the file lies just in his hand (mobile) and if I had a blue tooth file transfer facility in my mobile "LUMIA 610" it could have been done in just few minutes.Now I feel I was fool that I bought this "LUMIA 610" ( So I say My N72 was much much better than LUMIA)
I can't even download a file like,*.zip,*.exe,*.msi,*.rar,etc. from differnt website,all because the browser in LUMIA say "This file format is not supported by this device".....I know its not supported by the device,I want to download it ,so that I can,later, transfer it in my computer.You would say I can do the download directly in my computer,WELL YES,I can do that,but In case of large size files,I think it is better to keep the mobile open for downloading ,than desktop or laptop. ( So I say My N72 was much much better than LUMIA)
I want ask Nokia technician and people concern in NOKIA community,can I expect the following changes in my Nokia Lumia 610 from you people.
1). Complete Bluetooth facility (atleast file (of all type) transfer facility)
2). A good browser,so that I can download ,whatever file I want,whether support or not by the windows mobile.
3)A file manager (like the one you have in SYMBIAN OS ),so that I can take a full advantage of my mobile hard disk/drive,manage my files by putting it in my choice of folder(s)
4. A good PC SUITE ,not this stupid ZUNE,which will support the transfer of all types of file (Like the one you provide for SYMBIAN Mobiles.)
IF NOT ALL THESE THEN TELL ME IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE OPERATING SYSTEM OF NOKIA LUMIA 610 TO ANY OTHER BEST AVAILABLE SYMBIAN OS. I feel that ,when it come to mobile OS ,NOKIA's SYMBIAN is much much better than WINDOWS phone/mobile OS.
I hope you people would reply positively and quickly because if all these changes are not possible,then I would be selling this stupid LUMIA to some one else,and would have look at some other handset/mobile,possibly of some other company,because at the same range I m getting a good product. (DON'T TELL ME THAT I MADE A MISTAKE BY BUYING LUMIA,ALL I DID WAS TRUSTING A BRAND "NOKIA" WHICH I WAS USING SINCE LONG TIME)

Sorry you feel this way. Personally I think the Lumia 610 is a great phone with a fantastic price.
SkyDrive is included free with your Windows Phone 8.
Why would you want to download msi, exe, etc? You can't use those files on any phone. Why not download those on the device you are going to use them on?
1) This will not be possible until Windows Phone 8.
2) This has nothing to do with the browser. It has to do with OS restrictions and security measures.
3) This will not be possible until Windows Phone 8.

Unfortunately the Lumia 610 will not be able to run Windows Phone 8. It is not possible to change the OS to Symbian.
