  • Problems with my Q10

    I've had the phone for a couple of weeks now and am gradually getting to grips with it.
    Missed Call notification: Initially, had a bug I believe as whenever I had a missed call, I would get a notification but no matter what I tried, it would not disappear. I have had to resort to taking out the battery and re-booting. But, an update on Friday appears to have sorted this.
    Ring Tone: I have a piece of music I like as a ring tone. I transferred it on the the phone. It is the specified ring tome in the phone menu but when the phone rings, I get a standard ring tone instead. Really can't work out why it won't use it. Was never a problem on my Torch.
    Email: Took a few attempts and I did finally manage to get my email accounts set up. However, is there a way to delete multiple messages from the phone but not from the server? Can only manage to do one at a time and hope that they remain on the server as I can't find anything to indicate this option.
    Camera: the camera and video is definitely a better quality than I had on my Torch. Again,. found it a bit fiddly to work but again, with practice it has become easier.
    Answering calls: sometimes it takes a few attempts to answer a call. The arrow indicators are useful though and maybe the touch screen isn't as sensitive as it needs to be.
    Contacts: is there a way to have only contacts from one email account rather than from multiple email accounts as well as Facebook? I have around 130 contacts but on my Q10, I now have hundreds as many are duplicated.
    There are a few other niggles which are a tad tedious but the more I use the phone the easier it is becomming.
    It has been difficult at first to get the hang of the hub and menu's but have got the hand of it now. I am beginning to like the phone and pleased I didn't send it back after a week; which is what I was intending to do. Several friends also got the Q10 at the same time as me and three have returned it . But, I think the best is to persevere. EE gave me 14 days to try it out and I definitely needed this long.

    susie, for answering calls, please place your finger ON the white bar and drag down. Not above or below.
    On the contacts, you can open your Contacts app and swipe down from the top and TURN OFF to show the accounts (facebook, etc.) in the contacts app which you do not wish to see. Or you can simply turn off your Facebook or other contacts sync IN the email account setup of those particular accounts where you do not wish to have those contacts syncing.
    ALSO: You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

  • Serious problem with the Q10 wiping out all my emails on all email accountson BB & Servers

    having been using the BBQ10 for 10 days now and finally getting use to it and enjoying it.  I have been using BB's for years because I like it for my business.  But I work up today to find ALL my emails on all email accounts wiped out.  All texts and phone logs wiped out.  Ok could live with that BUT because of the new BB10 software that contacts you to  your email servers any changes you make with an email on your BB changes on your computer.  that means that every single emails on all my email accounts contacted to the BB have been deleted.  Saved emails, sent emails, new emails.  Everything.  I spoke with BB and was told they are aware of the problem and are sorry.  but i just lost thousands of dollars worth of orders because of this problem.  Anyone else have this problem?  any help?  
    On my old BB's there was a thing called Blackberry Protection and I had it set up to back up all data everday.  Now the Blackberry Protection on the Q10 and Z10 are for find your phone if you lose it.  It no longer backs up your data.  That is so stupid.  If I still had that I would not have lost all my info.   
    any thoughts or suggestions?  how can I keep the Q10 now if I cant' be sure it won't delete all my data anytime it feels like?

    yes, me too. gave my device back to shop but really loved q10 and would like to buy again when problem is solved. lots of users are reporting about this problem but blackberry dont care.

  • Audio problems with the Q10

    After around a year and couple of months i started to have problems with my blackberry device Q10. The problem is that when receiving the calls i cannot hear the caller unless i put them on speaker which is annoying if you are in public.... So i did the factory reset and nothing changes. Basically the phone is just silent when I receive/make a call. I can listen to music well and even use the mic to record audio sounds. Thanks in advance for your help.

    sorry for the late reply, the latest software was applied around a month ago and currently im on the latest release 10.2.2.2977, please let me know if i can do anything to remedy this problem, thanks in advance for your help.

  • NFC File share over WiFi problem between camera - Q10

    Hello Folks, I just got myself a Olympus camera with a WiFi NFC photoshare feature. I cannot get it to work with the Q10. Camera Side: WiFi enabled - the display shows a NFC Tag and also provides instructions for manual connexion.When I scan the tag with smarttag I get this string "OIS1,CP1%1H1UOP+++Y//,%*Z-+-X$" and the Q10 wants to search it in google (LoL)So I established the WiFi connexion manually as instructed by the Camera. The Q10 establish the connexion but warns about Internet not available with it. The camera instructions says the files are at http://oishare/ No matter how I try to enter this http://oishare/  link, the Q10 keeps sending it to Google where it get lost in translation. Does anyone has figure out that one out? Thanks folks

    Thread update Network / Mobile Network must be turned off (at least data) in order to be able to access http://oishare/Then I managed to see the directory structure but I couldn't find any pictures on the camera. Later on, I found some instructions in other forums to Sideload the Snap Google Play client.With a Google Play account in hand via Snap, I downloaded and install the Olympus Photoshare app. The app installed properly and has its own NFC scan function compatible with the Camera NFC tag. I was then able to export the pictures to the Q10 and even remote control the Camera. Pretty cool.

  • Two Problems with Q10

    I am experiencing two specific problems with the Q10:
    1. My email account password drops at least times a day and I have to re-enter it.
    2. When texting, if I enter three or more lines of text, the screen does not scroll automatically.
    Anyone have any feedback on how to correct these issues?

  • Q10 Software 10.2.1.537, Application Sound and Speakerphone Problem

    Hi
    Several days after I updated my BB Q10 with 10.2.1.537 Software Release, I experienced two problems:
    a.  when I make or receive phone call, the Speakerphone mode is always turned ON automatically.  I cannot turn it OFF.  So I cannot make phone conversation in private.
    b.  the applications' sound becomes very small.  
         Ex: sounds from receiving email, BBM, SMS messages.  Reminder sound from calendar
         Exception: only Alarm application sound is still normal
    After I reboot the phone, the applications' sound becomes normal.  But as soon as I make or receive phone call, the applications' sound becomes very small again.
    I have performed Reload Device Software with Blackberry Link, install the latest 10.2.1.537 Software Release, and restore the backup file.  Same problems still persist.
    Please advice how to fix these problems.

    My Q10 has a similar problem that seems to happen only when driving over 40 Kph. sound cuts in and out, whether i am on speaker phone, earphone or blue tooth. I've gotten a replacement Q10 and its doing the same. Any solutions?

  • Problems with Q10 After At&T Update 10.2

    Hey All,
    If anyone can please help, I've had problems on my Q10 since the 10.2 Update on Wednesday 4/16.
    I lost all my contacts, all my tasks in the Remember App, and who knows what else. My Phone App is also incorrectly saying there are no recent calls although I have made and received several calls since the update.
    I still have my pictures and text message history though, if that helps.
    For some reason my desktop Link program doesn't seem to have any data available for a backup or I would try a restore. I also can't figure out a way to uninstall or downgrade the update and see if that might work to restore my things.
    Any suggestions for what to do? Ideally, I really need access to my Remember files as they have super important information I don't have anywhere else, would love to have my contacts back, and at the very least need my phone app to go back to doing its job and recording my calls.

    The update you did was OTA (meaning over-the-air) and was pushed to you by AT&T. Your data shouldn't have been deleted so I don't know what happened to it.
    As for a backup, can you search your computer for a file that has the extension ".bbb"? If you have no backup there is little we can do, though.
    It is recommended to store your contacts in an email account and the one I recommend is Outlook.com. Then your contacts will sync to any device you connect to that account. You don't have to sync email if you don't want to but you can sync calendar, contacts, and tasks through an Outlook.com account.

  • Q10 Music app problem.

    Hello everybody !
    I have been having a problem with my Q10 lately : Since I had it it kept working very well until a few days. To explain a little bit better, I had some sleeves that appeared when I listened to my music (so, the right sleeves) and for a few days it just disappeared. Now, the sleeves that I had are gone, and I don't know why. I like listening to music with the sleeves, without it I found it a little bit dull. The sleeves will appear if I add new music on my phone, but if I delete the music that I had on my phone to put it again on it in order to get back the sleeves it won't work.
    What should I do to solve this problem ? Please help me.

  • Q10 Gmail synch problems

    Greetings,
    I seem to have an ogoing problem with my Q10 and gmail. Gmail sometimes will not synch contacts and chalendar events with my phone (and vice versa) unless I restart.
    This is very frustrating> any sugestions?
    My Synch interval is set at 5 minutes. Is tehre a way to ask the phone to synch on demand?

    Swipe down from the top of the bezel to > Settings.
    Tap Smart Dialing and set up your correct information in Smart Dialing... national number length, country code, etc.

    I bought my Q10 and the phone is not working now. I think main board is broken. Of course, I've done nothing wrong.

    I followed the instruction, but autoloader failed. It stopped on

    Now the situation is getting worse... I can't see even no battery
    sign... At first, red LED turned on for a long time, ( 5~7secs?)  but
    now one long red let light and short light 3times / short break / 2times
    / short break / 1 time.
    I think there's a big problem with my Q10, and I have done nothing
    wrong. Even though my poor English make you to understand the situation
    hard, I think you can see I've done nothing wrong. ( I'm sorry about my
    poor English, but English is not my mother language. )

    Oh... I'm Korean and I bought the Q10 via an agency. (the agency office
    is in both USA and Korea. We buy, send it to USA office, the office send
    it to us.) So I'm not in a good situation to return my Q10, but it can
    be done. Just the return takes some days.
