  • Failed to upgrade to Extension Manager 2.1

Hi, I'm having problem upgrading extension manager to 2.1. Every time I run adobe update installer, it shows me that I have update for extension manager (it's currently on 2.0), after the download and installation, it shows me "installation complete". But either when I run the update installer again, it shows me the same update for EM, or I launch EM in the applications folder, it shows me the version of EM I'm using is 2.0. Does anyone have this problem too? How do I fix this? Coz I was trying to install the extension of BrowerLab...
    Thanks

    Hi
The uninstall/reinstall option is the only one I can also suggest you try.
Any extensions installed using the extension manager, will not be removed when you do this, providing you do NOT select to delete preferences and user configuration on uninstall. The other extensions/plug-ins can also be kept if you back-up the folders containing them, then overwrite the 'new' folders created during the reinstall with these.

  • Business Catalyst add-on install problem with Dreamweaver CC & Extension Manager CC

I'm trying to use an add-on I've installed for Dreamweaver CC but it is not visible (Windows > Extensions > no extensions available). When I view applications through CC App, it shows that the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. Likewise, when I use the Adobe Extension Manager, it also shows the Business Catalyst add-on is installed. I checked Photoshop and my add-ons are visible in their panels. I noticed one of the troubleshooting steps for Business Catalyst add-on states:
    a. Check the version of Adobe Extension Manager CC installed on your machine.
    b. If the version is not 7.3.3.39 or later, update your Adobe Extension Manager CC using the Creative Cloud app.
I checked my version of Extension Manager and it's only at ver. 7.3.2.39 even though I followed the update procedure through the Creative Cloud app. I've closed all apps and re-started my computer. I've followed all the troubleshooting procedures I can find on the Add-ons website and the forums and I'm stuck.
    My versions:
    Dreamweaver CC 2014.1
    Extension Manager CC ver. 7.3.2.39
    Business Catalyst ver. 1.0.0
Creative Cloud Desktop Manager ver. 1.9.0.465
    64 bit Mac OS X (10.10.2)
    I appreciate any assistance.

  • Problem in upgrade of update manager 5.5.0 u2d

    Hi,
I can't upgrade Update Manager from 5.5.0 u1 to 5.5.0 u2d (maybe it's the same that 5.5.0 u2). The installer start to install after asking the login and failed. I found in the release note of Update Manger u2 that install it on a host that have a SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 may be a problem. I also have a Backup Exec Server on this host that use a SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2. My VMware database is on SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1.
Here what i found on the release note:
Update Manager installer stops responding if you already have Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 SP2 database on your system
If on the system where you are installing the Update Manager server or the UMDS there is an existing instance of Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 SP2 database, when you attempt to install the Update Manager server or the UMDS if you select the option to install the bundled database (Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express), the installer stops responding.
Workaround: To workaround this issue, perform the following steps:
On the machine you are installing the Update Manager server or the UMDS, open a command line interface and type the following command:
    .\redist\SQLEXPR\SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe /ACTION=install /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /SQLSVCACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" /HIDECONSOLE /FEATURES=SQL /SQLSYSADMINACCOUNTS="BUILTIN\ADMINISTRATORS" /NPENABLED="1" /TCPENABLED="1" /INSTANCENAME=VIM_SQLEXP
Atempt to install the Update Manager server or the UMDS again.
I think the workaround work for new install but do you know what i have to do for an upgrade ?

The version of Update Manger in vSphere 5.5.0 U2d is the same that in vSphere 5.5.0 U2. The version number is 5.5.0.22432

  • Problems after upgrading Adobe Application Manager

After updating to the latest version of Adobe Application Manager, the AAM stopped working and gives me the error message 'Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled' everytime I run the program. I tried re-installing (with the 6.2 patch) but the end result is always the same. I also tried installing the whole Suite again and then the Application Manager works properly until it automatically updates itself. I have also tried the CS uninstallation tool to no effect.
The system affected is a MacBook running Windows 7 with the Parallels application.
    Any ideas to try?
    Thanks!

  • Upgrading Extension Manager

    Hello,
I have DW MX and need to upgrade from Extension Manager v1.5
    to v1.6.
Can I install the upgraded version over top of v1.5?
Will doing this wipe out all my previous extensions?
Or would it be better to un-install 1.5 then install 1.6 and
then re-install (ugggh....) all my DW,FW,Flash extensions?
    Thanks,
    Scott

You should be fine to install over the top of your existing
Extension Manager. It will not wipe out the installed extensions
because they are actually in the application's user config folder,
and not within the Extension Manager folder.

  • Adobe Extension Manager CC frozen

    Hi,
I have been having some serious problems with the Adobe Extension Manager.
I while ago, I updated from Photoshop CS6 to Adobe Creative Cloud and when I saw my Photshop extensions were not installed in Photshop CC, I launched the Extension Manager CC and was trying to install them to get the extensions in Photoshop.
What happened was, the Extension Manager froze somewhere in the middle of the isntallation and wasn't doing anything for more than 8 hours when I was installing the first extension. The Extension Manager wasn't reacting at all so I had to kill it, and ever since I open it up again the Extension Manager can't load and it gets stuck with the working-clock icon (see the attached image).
After I restart the computer I can open up the manager, however, when I try to install any extension again, it gets frozen again in the middle of the installation and I have to forse quit the app again. I uninstalled it and installed it again, but no change.
The Extension manager was running smoothly on CS 6 but I had no luck with the CC. What is intersting though is when I install extensions not through the Extension Manager as "Subtle Patterns" it's showing in Photoshop and there are no problems with it.
    I'm running on Mac OS X 10.8.5
Hope to get some help because I would really need those exptensions. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Sam

Please make sure you have write permission to "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC" and all its subfolders. And please delete "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db" if this file exists.
If it still doesn't work after you granted sufficient permission to yourself, please try to run EM as administrator.
    1. Run "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".
    2. Input the following command then press "Return" key. Don't miss the double quotation marks.
sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CC"
    3. Input password of administrative user then press "Return" key.
If it works, you can try to run EM in normal way.
If it doesn't work, please generate log files and send it to [email protected]
    1. In Terminal window, run the following commands in turn:
       cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Extension\ Manager\ CC/
       mkdir Log
       cd Log
       touch ExManCoreLibLog.YES
    2. Open Finder, hold down "option" key, click menu "Go"->"Library" to go into hidden Library folder, then go to its subfolder "Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log", check whether file ExManCoreLibLog.YES exists.
    3. Launch EM.
    4. After EM hangs, force quit it, send the log file in the Log folder above to us.

  • Invalid signature when trying to install Photoshop CC extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC and default installed Photoshop CC extensions won't load

I have a Creative Cloud subscription for Photoshop CC. All Creative Clouds products are updated to the latest versions. When I tried to install Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3 Photoshop extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC on my PC desktop, I received an error message that the extension contained an invalid signature and wouldn't be installed. I had previously installed the extension on my laptop without any problems. At the same time, I also noticed the default installed Photoshop CC extensions (e.g., Adobe Exchange, Kuler, Mini Bridge, Behance) could not be loaded using the Windows/Extension command. I receive an error message that the command could not be completed because the extension could not be loaded. After contacting Tony Kuyper, he suggested that I try the steps mentioned in the following weblink: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6029768. The steps basically consist of uninstalling and reinstalling all the Creative Cloud apps associated with Photoshop CC. I tried the steps multiple times, but I am still having the same problems. I can find the default installed Photoshop CC extensions on my machine, so I don't know why they can't be loaded.
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Mark Curtis

    Hi Mark
You say everything is up to date?  And you have tried reinstalling all the CC apps?  Is Windows also fully up to date?  Hmmm...  That could be tricky.
What version of Windows are you using?  Have a look in Task Manager > Processes and see if 'CEPServiceManager.exe *32' is listed as running?
If not, I don't know where it would be installed from, and we'd need someone like Chris Cox to join the thread to tell us, but my guess is that it would install along with the CC Desktop Application Manager.  Windows 8.1 can be problematic, and a bit fussy about the order of things, and it is definitely worth adopting best practice when installing your CC apps.  That means restarting your computer, and right clicking the Desktop Application manager and running as Administrator.
How many CC apps are you running?  If just Photoshop, Bridge, Expansion manager etc. then - and I hate to say this - perhaps have another go at reinstalling, but run the Cleaning tool after uninstalling.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Try some other Extensions before the Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3.  GuideGuide is a favourite of mine, as well as Dmonzon tools, and maybe Russell Brown's Flypaper Textures.
I have to say that I have had problems with the CC Extension Manager a while back, but simply reinstalling just the Extension Manager fixed it.  Perhaps CEPServiceManager.exe *32 installs with Extension Manager?  Heck, maybe start with just trying that before reinstalling all your CC apps.
If you are still stuck, I'd risk sending Chris Cox a PM, but not until you triple check that your video card driver is up to date from the card maker's website.
Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you get on.

  • Extension Manager compatibility???

I have dreamweaver cs4 but I recently installed photoshop cs5. i guess with my installataion, it upgraded my extension manager to cs5. now while trying to install a new dreamweaver extension, my EM cs5 doesn't even see dreamweaver. it doesn't find any other of my adobe cs4 applications, only photoshop cs5. what can i do?
    thanks...

Extensions of all CS4 applications are still managed by Extension Manager CS4, while extensions of Photoshop CS5 are managed by Extension Manager CS5. So you shoud launch Extension Manager CS4 manually, just as Harbs said. You can also launch it from Dreamweaver CS4, click "Help" menu, then click "Manage Extensions...".
