Problems in Win-10 Apps, Services Wi-Fi etc.

1) Glitches in Wi-Fi connectivity. Wi-Fi loses connectivity any time. We have to switch off & on Wi-Fi again to connect to internet
2) Start Menu view of 8.1 seems better.
3) Older application compatibility is better, few of the old application are running which were not in 8.0 & 8.1.
4) VSS & Virtual Disk Service automatically got disabled a couple of times.
5) Music app is having intermittent behaviour. It stops randomly any time while playing the songs.

I had real problems getting my iPhone4s to connect to my wireless router. I have a Virgin Super hub. This conflicted with my Airport Extreme. So I was (evenutally - after hours of talking to virgin techsupport people who were very unhelpful) was advised by a member of the virgin support team to disable the router on the Superhub, then the Airport will take care of wireless access. My phone would still not connect, but the ipad and MacBook Pro would. So problem pointed to the Phone. Apple advised me to Reset all my phone settings - BAD advice and unneccesary. After going abroad and returning home, miraculously the phone connected to my wi-fi. UNTIL I went away for a few days and swithed off the modem and the wireless router. Today I got back and the same issue... i.e. iPad connects fine. iPhone4s doesn't. So I did the following and it now connects:
1. Checked that the virgin Superhub was still on Modem Only mode. by typing 192.168.100.1 in a browser address field. (it was still in modem mode, so no conflict with Airport router)
2. Restarted the iPhone
3. Went into Settings > Wi-Fi Networks and switched Wi-Fi off and on again.
4.Chose my Network fom the list of available nearby networks, and clicked the little > button at the right of it's name, to get to the "Forget this Network" button. And clicked it to forget the network.
5. Then went back through the process of adding the network back in to the iPhone, ensuring the password was entered correctly.
My phone is now connecting to my wireless network again. So it seems that switching Wi-Fi off and on, forgetting my network, and adding it back in again solved my connection issue.
Even if you don't have the Virgin Superhub / Airport Extreme set up that I have, you could try steps 2 through to 5, to forget then re-enter your wireless network setting into your phone.
Looking at the forums this is not an unknown issue.

Authentication with App Service Gateway worked, but now fails

So I was trying to authenticate my app with the App Service gateway so that I can access my locked down Api App. I have set up identity providers for both Google and Microsoft, and all was working wonderfully. I was making some tweaks with how I was handling
the authentication token, so I was hitting the authentication code 3-4 time a minute. Everything was great until suddenly the web page stopped opening up.
I did some digging and it seems that the gateway simply cannot handle my requests anymore. I am now getting 500 responses and the streaming logs for the gateway host web app spat out an IIS error page that I've pasted at the end here... To me the
error looks like it's coming from the gateway code. So what is going on? I've tried restarting both the gateway and the host for the gateway, I've tried changing the pricing tier to a non-shared plan in case something on the machine was crashing, and
I've tried accessing the /signin-google page on both my mobile app and desktop browser (both fail with 500). I assume that recreating the entire resource group and associated gateway would solve the problem, but I don't know that this won't happen again. So
any tips you have would be appreciated, thanks.

The EBS R12 server suddenly switched off due to a power problem and then, after starting the DB and Apps services this is the error and Apps log-in page shows error as described in the beginning above.
Please help.

Error message pdf not valid Win 32 app

Am getting message hp/documentation/usgvn.pdf is not a valid Win 32 app. Have been unable to open HP user guides for sometime. Have Vista home prem x 32 service pk 2 & Adobe Direct X, but was getting message even with Reader 8. Any ideas?

A PDF is (of course) not a valid Windows application. The PDF file extension must be associated with Adobe Reader.
The easiest way of doing this is uninstalling / reinstalling Adobe Reader.

Shutdown DB and App services -- System Hangs

I have installed EBS 11.5.10.2 on my laptop on a windows 2000 advanced server o/s and apps works fine. But the problem that I have is during the shutdown.
I have tried several ways but without any luck.
1/ Manually shutdown the services in the Service Control Manager in the order as follows: First all App services -- I was able to sucessfully stop these services manually. Then DB listner and DB services -- I was able to sucessfully stop these services manually.
But when I shutdown my laptop, it does not shutdown properly. It just shows a message it is shutting down and then just the screen appears and never powers off. After forced shutdown, my apps does work fine but I am not happy doing forced shutdowm as I have external hard drive (USB 2.0) and don't know what effect it will have on it.
2/ Tried running AD scripts such as adstpall.cmd (by referring maintenance procedure guide from Oracle). But I always get an error saying "cannot find environment '\.cmd'" I don't know what the issue is. I have tried to run envxxx.cmd to setup the environment but still could NOT manage to get through. But I wonder what this script does other than stopping the services.
Appreciate if someone can shed more light on this and help to resolve this.

Thank you all.. I have managed to get this resolved.
Following are the steps to resolve this:
1/ Set all the services to start manually in Service Control Manager (services.msc).
2/ Reboot the machine
To start the services
1/ Run addlnctl.cmd first to start the DB listner
2/ Started manually the oraclevis service as addbctl.cmd script fails as it always complains that it has failed to connect to the listner
3/ Run adstrtal.cmd to start all the applicaton tier services
4/ adstrtctl.cmd does not start concurrent mgr service, discoverer service, forms service, so had to manually start them to get the apps working.
Before shutdown
1/ Run adstpall.cmd to stop all the application services#
2/ Manually stop concurrent mgr, discoverer, forms services
3/ Run addbctl.cmd to shutdown the database
4/ Run addlnctl.cmd to shutdown the DB listner
5/ Although it said successfully dismounted DB when addbctl.cmd was run, it had not stopped oraclevis service, so had to manually stop the service.
Shutdown the box, it shutsdown without any hangups.

The error message as following:

I actually was struggling through pretty much the same things at the same time that you were.
The EventTriggered extension is actually in the Microsoft.Azure.AppService.ApiApps.Service namespace, so without a using directive for that it will not be happy.
I created a library to help with the metadata generation required for Triggers, and did a write-up on exactly what it takes to create both a polling and push trigger (with a few more samples) here: https://github.com/nihaue/TRex#building-a-polling-trigger-api-app

the official docs, and also
Sameer's sample can get you on the right track.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you tried closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then doing a soft-reset and seeing that helps ? To close all apps :
iOS 7: double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

like 2 weeks ago i called in to att to see how much is the data plan and it would end up costing $30.
so i was like screw that. well they figured that i got a new phone replacing the LG shine. so they asked
for to call this number so they can recieve data which would updated the system that i have a plam treo 750.
ever since this conflict i can't send picture messages. i get that problem. everytime i attempt to send a picture
i recieve this.

Try the usual steps: restart, reset, restore.

If restoring using a backup doesn't help, try restoring the iPhone to factory settings and try for a while with just the Apple-included apps, to make sure it's not an issue with a third-party app. If it still has problems, it may have a hardware problem and will need to be sent to Apple.

Error while creating new app service plan for a webapp

Greetings !
I have a new webapp created and I want to move it a separate web app service plan to apply custom domain (Not available on free tier). From the new Portal I try to create new Web App Service plan and get this error.
"Failed to create App Service plan.
Failed to create App Service plan <App Service Plan Name>. There was an error processing your request. Please try again in a few moments."
Even while creation of the web app if I select create new App Service Plan it automatically goes into Free Plan.
Please help.

Hello Parvez Alam,
The issue of not being able to create a new App Service Plan is now fixed. I tried to reproduce this and was able to create the App Service Plan Successfully.
You should now be able to create the App Service Plan from the New portal. Also, the App Service Plan concept is only availaible in the new portal and not the existing portal.
