Problems inserting video via ms word

Hi
I am trying to insert video into ms word for Acrobat Pro Extended as per the instructions below.
When I get to point three I get a message:
AdobePDFmakerX Library not registered.
Screen shot shown in the attached file.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ken
Insert video into Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files
Acrobat Pro Extended adds a feature to Office that enables you to add video in FLV or SWF format to an Office document. Video that is created in other formats is converted to FLV format when it is added.
After adding a video to an Office document, you can convert the document to PDF and edit the video properties if needed.
In the Office document, select the position where you want the video to appear.
Do one of the following:
In Office 2003, click the Insert Video button in the PDFMaker toolbar.
In Office 2007, click the Embed Video button in the Acrobat ribbon.
Click the Browse button, and then locate the video you want to include.
Change the video settings as needed:
For video that is not in FLV or SWF format, set a poster image by moving the slider to the desired frame. Then click Set Poster Image From Current Frame.
To determine how the playback controls are displayed, select an option from the Skin menu.
To change the display size of the video, click Resize Video, and then change the width and height. Maintain the aspect ratio for best display.
Click OK to convert the video (if needed), and add it to the document.

In the future you might want to seach Google with the error message; Often shows one interesting results.
Any way hopefully this article will point you in the right direction. It seems removing the Office Acrobat Plugin and then re-installing solved the problem for at least one person. See this thread  It it doesn't work specifically with your situation you may want to search the entire results page I got on Google (2 pages) as I don't have time to research them for you and I haven't experienced this specific problem myself.
Cheers.

  • Problems Capturing Video via FireWire

I have had problems capturing video via firewire on my MacBook Pro. It is an early 2008 model. I have tried capturing video using multiple programs, cables and cameras. In both Final Cut Express and iMovie ('08 and '09) I loose the connection mysteriously. It just stops sensing my camera mid capture. I can shut the computer down, programs down and cameras down but nothing seems to work consistently in getting it to work. The weird part is that it does work some times. Recently I tried an auto capture of a whole miniDV tape through a sony handicam via iMovie '09. It got 20mins of the tape then stopped and rewound the tape. When trying it again it read "connection error". I could not get it to work. I put the computer to sleep and came back later. It worked but only captured about 10 minutes then shut down the whole camera and import completely. I switched to manual import and it will now only let me capture about 20 seconds at a time. What is going on? To me it seems like the port itself is malfunctioning and disconnecting the signal randomly. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the cause and what can I do about it?

I've been reading the forums and it seems that there is an issue with the Firewire port in general. I have an external firewire 800 HD and when copying large files or a large number of files the HD gets dismounted unexpectedly. Your case seems similar in that we are both transferring large files via Firewire. Anyone have any fixes for this?

  • Inserting Videos Without MS Word In Acrobat Pro 9 Extended

I've been experimenting with inserting videos as native content using Acrobat Pro 9 Extended. For my ebook publishing this is such an ideal situation, but I don't use MS Word, and there doesn't seem to be any real facility in Acrobat 9 to do simple formatting of the video object (like center it, for example.)
I do have an older version of Word (2000) but it doesn't have the menus listed that seem to inserted into newer versions.
Does anyone know what version of Word is required for this functionality?
Furthermore, is there another way to do this using some other program? I use OpenOffice typically, but could try others if need be.

  • Problem inserting video into a page

Hi, I have a page created using a custom page layout that I created.
I tried using the Video page field but when I configure the video, with youtube url it doesn't work.  here is the url I used,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6yvW66-ThI&feature=player_embedded and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6yvW66-ThI both won't work  It gives message at the bottom saying loading of video failed.

I then tried inserting into a Page Content section.  I clicked on the Insert tab, click "Video and Audio" then "Embed".  I then paste the following code into the dialog.  The video loads and I click the Insert button.  In

    Thank you.

Thank you for the link.  I read it over a couple of times but it says youtube doesn't work.  I checked the Site Setting ->HTML Field Security and youtube.com is in the allowed iframes list.  Below is from the link
    Using the "Embed Code" dialog
When editing a HTML field, there is now a new button available on the ribbon called "Embed Code" in the "Insert" tab. As the <iframe> code is inserted, the dialog tells you that the content will be inserted in a web part. YouTube didn’t work because they
prevent display in an iframe due to security reasons but Bing did.
One thing is that we're Intranet site so it has to be https but in the snippet editor of embedded code the video is loaded and plays.  It just disappear after I save the page.
Anyway to get youbute iframe to work using either embedded code or in Edit Html source in a SP publishing site page?
    Thank you.

  • Problem importing video from a DV camera into the new imovie 10.0?  I have a Sony DCR TRV17 connected via Firewire port that worked in 9.0.9 but not under 10.0...

I have a Sony DCR TRV17 that I used to pass through VCR tape video via Firewire port to my Mac Pro under Imovie 9.0.9 without an issue.   Now under Imovie 10.0 the video shows in the import window, I can start recording yet when I stop recording the recorded clips do not show up anywhere.  The movie file I'm creating still indicates that I still need to import video.   Anyone having similar problems?

    Hey Dave,
I had this issue only once before but was lucky enought to find it was a specific event causing the import to freeze. It took me some time to isolate the problem though. I would recommend letting it sit there for some time before you try any troubleshooting. Larger libraries can take long periods of time to update.
This is a good thread for this issue.  I would first try removing the iMovie.plist as elikness mentions.
    1. Open Finder
    2. Click on "Go" in the menu bar.
    3. Click on Go To Folder on the dropdown menu.
    4. Type "~/Library/Preferences/" in the text field and click Go.
    5. Find the com.apple.iMovie(some number).plist file and move it to Trash.
Quit and relaunch iMovie to see if this took care of the issue before attempting the next step. If you're still having an issue then you can try what I needed to do which is isolating the problem event.
    1. Open Finder.
    2. Go to the Movies folder. You should see iMovie Events here.
If you have a larger event library I'd recommend renaming the iMovie Events folder to say, "iMovie Events COPY". Then create a new empty folder named “iMovie Events”. When you launch iMovie 9.0.9 all events will be missing at this point. Quit iMovie if it is open. Then you can either drag each event from iMovie Events COPY to iMovie Events or you can select and drag several at a time. Each time you drag an event folder back into the new iMovie Events folder launch iMovie 9.0.9 to see if you are having the same issue. Wash and repeat until either you have found the problem event or you have imported all events.
If you find the problem event you can reimport the clip from iMovie 9.0.9 by going to File > Import > Movies and navigating to that events iMovie Original Movies folder to find the clip.
    Hope this helps!

  • Problem Inserting Flash Video (flv) File into Site

    Hi -
I'm having problems inserting a Flash Video (.flv) into my webpage.  I'm using Dreamweaver 8.
I'm going to: Insert -  Media - Flash Video, browsing to the .flv file that's in my local site folder, entering the settings.
In Dreamweaver, there's a big gray box w/ flv icon in the middle.  But when I go to preview, the screen is empty, no video.
I'm creating the .flv file w/ Screen Mimic (a screen capture recording software).  This could be a problem w/ the Screen Mimic file because I have no problem inserting other flv files supplied to me by others.  This is the first video that I've made that I'm trying to insert.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would be most appreciative.
    thanks!
    Stacey Stanley

This could be a problem w/ the Screen Mimic file because I have no problem inserting other flv files supplied to me by others.
That would my guess too. Here are few other things to consider:
    1)  Does your FLV filename contain any spaces or special characters?  If so, rename it without spaces as these can cause problems.
    2)  Output Screen Mimic project to a QuickTime MOV file.  Then use Adobe Flash Encoder to convert the MOV to FLV.
    3)  When you tested your page, was it a live page on remote server?  Did you upload the page and all supporting files to server (Scripts folder, SWF, FLV...)?

  • Problem sharing .pages documents as Word via Mail

    Hello All,
I have recently begun using Pages on my MacBook Pro, but I am having an issue sharing my Pages documents through the program.
I click Share>Send via Mail>Word , but when I do this, it only gives me a "frog" sound as if I am doing something wrong, but Mail will not open or attach the document.
I have tried changing the document name, making sure there are no / or \ , but this has had no effect.
Is there anything I could be doing wrong?
    Thanks for your time!

Illegal characters are generally those Windows doesn't allow in file or folder names. There are also those UNIX doesn't allow. Just play it safe & use alphanumeric characters, spaces & hyphens.
You can just export the file using File > Export or Share > Export & then attach that to a new Mail message. Probabaly easier than trying to figure out why e-mail via the Share menu doesn't work.

  • HT1430 I suddenly can.t access you tube via videos via my iPad . Tried via safari and you tube app on iPad but it says no videos and  then ask me for  you tube password . Never had to use a pass word

I suddenly can,t access you tube videos via my iPad. Tried safari and you tube app on iPad. I get no videos  and then it asks for you tube password. Not had that before.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.
    Thanks

  • No synchronization for inserted video

I am facing problems in the synchronization for an inserted video (mp4, 1280x720). The video was inserted under powerpoint <Insert> <Video> <Video from a file>. (For other reasons, I can not import it under Adobe Presenter.)
The video length is about 1:30 min. but the slide published under Adobe Presenter is only 5 s in length (in accordance to Adobe Presenter <Settings> <Presentation> <Playback>)
I can set the video <Video Tools> <Playback> <Start:> to "Automatically" or "On Click" - it doesn't matter.
    I am using:
    Adobe Presenter 9.0.2
    Windows 7 Enterprise SP1
Microsoft Powerpoint Professional Plus 2010 (Version 14.0.7116.5000   32 bit)
What can I do to solve the problem?
    Thanks
    Best regards
    StefanS

    Either:
    - Convert it, or do what is needed, to allow you to import it via Presenter. This will allow presenter to 'see' that the video is there and adjust the slide length automatically to accommodate the video. Not sure why an MP4 wouldn't be able to be imported via Presenter.
    - Go into the Edit Audio function and navigate to that slide. Click the Insert Silence button (small green icon), and select to insert ~90 seconds (or whatever the length of the video). This will cause the slide to display for the duration of your video.
Any setting you configure in PPT for the video will be disregarded in Presenter. Placing media in a Presenter presentation via PPT can cause it to not function at all. This is due to the media being called by a file path (often to an individual's computer that isn't a valid call on any other computer), and local file path calls are not allowed by Presenter presentations.

  • Odd problems exporting videos: dropped frames, end glitches

Having some strange things happening on the work computer (which is a pre-intel MacPro running Leopard and latest version of FCP). In the last couple of weeks we've been having a lot of files that we're trying to export (by either directly playing them or "Print to Video" via Firewire to a Sony DV/Cam deck, which in turn passes it through to a Beta machine). The videos have been freezing up or giving "Dropped Frame" error messages. To combat the problem I've exported the videos (usually 10 minutes in length) to Quicktime Movie file, and then ran that file (thus making it one big file instead of 40 or so cuts/insertions, etc).
Dropped Frames ceased to be a problem, and it plays smoothly...but now when we get to the end, we get a weird white glitch. Figured it might want a fade out to smooth out the end of the file (even though it already had a fade out) but now the file is freezing up right before it gets to the fade out.
The really odd thing is, it looks and acts fine when I play from 5 seconds or so before the end of the clip. It's only playing it in its entirety that the end acts up.
I'm at my wit's end figuring out options. I've rebuilt permissions, restarted the computer, done a disc utility diagnostic/repair disc. I've deleted the preferences for FCP.
    Open to any suggestions!
    Thanks

No, I'm not using assembly mode.
The really odd and frustrating thing is that haven't done anything different that I haven't done with hundreds of similar projects. But all of a sudden things are happening (mentioned the dropped frames problem in case it is linked. Increasingly I've been having projects stop printing/playing due to dropped frames with no consistent possible reason, in terms of materials used, transitions, hard drive, etc.). No change of equipment or software (other than updates).
My boss complained about the white 'glitch' happening a couple months or so ago, and thought it was due to forgetting to do a fade-out at the end, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

  • 'Insert Video' reduces video's quality

    (Captivate 7, Win 7)
    Hi,
Problem : When I embed an .flv video via Captivate's 'Insert Video' feature (Event video), the video's images and text are pixellated when it plays.
If I drag the same video from the library and put it on the stage, it plays back at excellent quality. However, I then don't get the player controls (need the progress bar for the video) because I don't get to use the skin.
What is the 'Insert Video skin doing to the video to make it pixellated?
I thought it might be a video resolution/size problem, but I've re-rendered the video at a smaller size. Again, when I embed the video in the slide via 'Insert Video,' it the images and text are still pixellated.
    Any ideas?
    thanks!

    Tom,
Honestly, I don't know how I've been editing without using the D key! But you're right, it works. However, when I overwrite in the Primary timeline, the dissolve look very different than when the second clip is on the Secondary Timeline. Here's what I get when the shot is on the secondary:
    Here's the Primary:
You can see that in the Primary, the blurs are equally out of focus. However, in the Secondary, the initial shot comes into focus instead of dissolving in a blur, which is incorrect.
When covering an interiew, the "D" command would be one of the most used (at least at this point since the dissolve are weird when I connect the b-roll). I'm puzzled why Apple would't add an icon for "Overwrite" along side the Append, Insert, Connect....?

Hi, I just updated my Mac with new v10.7.2.
Everything went perfect with really usual Apple quality ;-) but for one point I would need to check since new for me.
In case of watching videos via iTunes, I have now the phenomena that in case of pressing -> or <- that player jumps into other movie.
Is anybody aware and know such issues? Or something wrong? I updated all, system...iTunes...

Yes, it is common problem.. Lion and latest TC firmware not a great combo.. go back to 7.5.2 and it is much reduced.

  • How to disable the FULL SCREEN option in the 'Insert Video and Audio' option

    Hi,
I've been inserting some MP3's and using an image for pupils to click on to play the sound, the images are 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
The only issue is that I have the grey rectangle 'Full Screen' box over the picture. This is ideal when I put videos on but not necessary when you have just an MP3. Also I've noticed that the 'Styles' option is greyed out and due to that I can't change the
    colour of the play button.
I've been inserting MP3's direct from my PC hard drive to the webpage.
    Any help'd be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Per my understanding, you might want to disable the “Full Screen” button and make other customization when there is an audio file in the page.
By default, when we insert an audio/video file into page via “Insert Video and Audio” button in the ribbon, an OOTB Media Web Part will be added into the page contains
the file you added, the “Full Screen” button is a part of this Media Web Part.
In consideration of you might have other requirements on designing the style, I would suggest you create a custom Media Web Part instead which will enable you customize
    the style as you want.
About creating a custom Media Web Part, you can use the <audio> tag:
