Problems installing Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium
I'm trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on a new computer (Windows 7) from DVD's and receive an Installation Status message at the end of installation that says there were 2 fatal errors, 43 errors, and 43 warnings. It installs some of the programs, but doesn't install Illustrator, InDesign, or Flash Catalyst. I've tried installing four times and received the same message each time. I've verified with Adobe Customer Support that I'm using the correct serial number code. Any thoughts/suggestions?

good morning , I have installed Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and I want to uninstall the Adobe Indesign CS5.5. Deactivation of the license is necessary before then reinstall ?
Are you just uninstalling ID, and leaving the rest of the suite in place? You don't need to deactivate to do that.
A suite license does not permit you to install individual components on many different machines so that different users have access to them, if that is what you are contemplating. -
How to re-install Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium for the PC?
Two years ago I purchased Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium for the PC. My system crashed and the discs are gone. Where can I purchase replacement discs, or is there an alternative?
If you still have your serial/activation, you can download it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html and then use your old activation info.
If you don't have them, and you registered your product with Adobe, you should be able to log in to the Adobe site and recover them under Plans & Products.
Adobe will only replace current version media: Obtain replacement CDs, DVDs, manuals
If you don't have the serial/activation and you never registered your copy, I'm pretty sure you're stuck with buying DWCS6 or subscribing to the Creative Cloud. -

What are the other actual errors you're seeing?
--Some of the other errors may be ones people here are familiar with
When do they occur?
--Is the installation failing, or is the program throwing errors while attempting to start up?
Are you installing from disks or from a download?
--Downloads can come down to your machine corrupt and may require deletion/redownload
Is W8 installing with XP compatibility enabled?
--DWCS5 is old compared to Windows8, if XP Compatibility isn't kicking in by default, you'll need to fix that
Do you have any anti-virus programs running while trying to install?
--Turn them off
Running the cleaner tool before attempting a new install may work...

It's been a long time (two days complete) for installing this trial and still nothing, what's wrong?
Can you provide some additional details? What product are you trying to install, what operating system do you have, and are there any other symptoms, errors, or other details that describe the problem? Have you sucessfully downloaded the trial?

Try uninstall all Adobe software from the PC before installing CS 5.5, then reinstall them back again after you installed CS 5.5.

MAC installing Acrobat Pro X and Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium pop up ?

I have an Acrobat Pro X PKG (for MAC) from the Univeristy that should have a serial number inside the PKG. The installation works well.
On the Acrobat Pro lauch I saw the main windows, for 2-3 secondes and then it goes a way. A Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium pops up asking me a serial number???

I finally had time to try this on the weekend, and that cleaned up nearly all the warning messages, but unfortunately it didn't work for Acrobat Pro X. I also deleted my old CS4 and ran the Cleaner Tool again, just in case that was causing problems.
I found this - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1310-error-writing-file.html - and I patiently tried every solution mentioned, but after hours of mucking about with this and trying to install this many times I simply don't know what to do next.
The problem appears to be the Conflig.msi folder and I have checked that I have access to this folder right up until I run the CS6 install. After I get a message saying that I haven't been able to install because it is unable to write to C:Config.msi I go back to that folder and find that my permissions have changed. It seems to be the install process that changes this - is that possible?
I'm hoping someone from Adobe Support will read this and respond. It is very hard for me to access live chat as the hours only suit people in the US and I'm in Australia.

I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 inch in December 2011 and I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium shortly after and installed it on the computer. The other day my friend spilled his drink on my computer and it is now going to cost me $800 to get it fixed so I am considering getting a new one instead of getting mine fixed I'm not sure if the memory is still ok or not either. It didn't get that wet and Apple told me it is more than likely ok but there is no guarantee that they are going to keep the memory when they fix it. So I was wondering if I get a new one if I can install the Suite on the new one I still have the product key and serial number for the Suite. Or if I decide to get mine fixed and the memory is swept, then can I reinstall it on mine after it is fixed? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You
deactivate your installation on your old computer (help>deactivate).

I am installing the creative suite 5.5 design premium to window 8.1, the installtion progrees reached to 99%, and it stopped and coming with message" close internet explorer" to continue, which I did, but the message keep coming back, Please help.

Problem with download Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium trial
I have downloaded Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Trial but at the end of the download it brings up this error message: "Error extracting the product installer (error 101). Check for available disk space on your system and try downloading the product again." I am using a Dell laptop. I definitely have ample disk space. I don't want to download the product again as it has taken many hours and 3.6 GB to download. Please help! Thanks
Did you customize the location for the trial to download? We often times see this happen when users select their Program Files folder to download the install files too. I would recommend trying to download to your user folder or desktop.

I lost my disk for cs5 creative suite 5.5 design premium but I have product code and a new computer I want to reinstall. What can I do?
You can download the software from the website and then type in your old serial number to activate it... that is, IF the installer database will work with your operating system. I am having problems reinstalling CS4 with a new computer running on Win 8.1. When I called customer support, they told me a whole lot of nothing for 45 minutes and then directed me to a chat session. After about 30 minutes on chat, I was basically told they don't offer support for older products. The website says "no known issues" for installation... but that very well may be because they are unwilling to record the issues when someone calls to report them! Good luck with your install. I wish I had CS5 at this point, as it appears there is still support available for it... but you are on the bubble timewise for that to continue. Other downloads

I have an imac and a macbook pro. my creative suite 5.5 design premium is on them both. I'm about to take them in to the apple store because they are running bad and have them completely restored to factory settings. when I get them back will i be able to re-install my adobe creative suite to both of my computers using my same product code from when i first bought it?
Yes. Just make sure to deactivate the license on both systems using Apple menu --> Deactivate while one of the suite programs is running.

I am trying to re-install Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard on my Widows 7 Professional computer after I had to replace the hard drive. I keep getting error message and I get "Exit Code 15: Media DB Sync failed". I have run C Cleaner with same results. Have Disabled UAC and Startup items and Services with no success. Please help - frustrated to no end. Can someone help me?
make sure you're using the adobe cleaner, not crap cleaner, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
copy the installation files to a desktop folder and install from there. -

You have a serial number, don't you? That's all that matters. Your license is yours and shall forever be.
