Problems installing digital publishing update for Indesign CS6

Hello,
I am having some problems installing update I need for Indesign CS6. I'm working on an interactive pdf and need to update my version of cs6 to use the digital publishing suite. Upon attempts to use the 'folio builder' I am asked to update and go to 'help' 'updates'. The Adobe Patch installer begins to load then immediately crashes. I have tried installing the publishing update from adobe licensing but the same problem happens when I attempt to install the file using the patch installer.
I'm using CS6 version 8.0, can anyone help?

Problem installing Raw Camera Updater for K100D Super?

So, I have iPhoto and up until now it's been working okay with dealing with all of my photos and such. When I import them I've had absolutely no problem, until today when I started to import my images. The import went smoothly, it looked like they were all going to go in, I got to the dialog box that said "delete all/keep all" (or whatever it really says), but after that I got a dialog box that said it couldn't import ANY of my .PEF files.
I ran software update and it updated my RAW compatibility, but it still won't work. So I looked around on the website for the specific update for the k100d super, but it won't let me install it because there's 'a newer version of digital camera raw compatibility' on the computer. I have no idea how to delete the new version, and then reupdate, or if it's even possible? The present version is the one with the k20d update, but it doesn't work.
Any and all help is appreciated. I can't get iLife '09 until next week, so anything would be great. Thank you!

Anytime a Mac "loses" an ability always try a restart. If that doesn't help try repair permissions with Disk Utility.

Can anyone help me?
Have installed the DPS App Builder, but am not being prompted to enter a serial number. Because of this I am not seeing the folio panel in Indesign.

It may be worth trying an older version.
There have been quite a few issues with ADE2.0; though I don't recognize your problem as one of them.
You can get 1.7.2 from the Adobe site. Much more reliable than V2.0 in many ways.
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

HT5055 Problem installing new Lion update for Java

When I launch JavaForOSX.dmg, it says: "There maybe a problem with this disk image. Are you sure you want to open it? Opening this disk image may make your computer less secure or cause problems." I have downloaded the lastest Java update for Lion 4 times and I always get this message! I have never received a similar message in the past. I downloaded the Snow Leopard file and sucessfully updated my wife's computer with no problems. Is the Apple file bad, or am I doing something wrong.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.3 on a Mac mini (2.5 GHz Intel Core i5).
Software Update does not offer me Java for OS X Lion 2012-002
Preferences->Installed Software does not show any Java updates installed.
When I download from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1515 instead of a 66.9MB file I get a 63.8MB file (every time) and it gives me the error "There may be a problem with this disk image. Are you sure you want to open it?" when I open the DMG.
I think Apple needs to provide a new disk image for this patch.

Problem downloading Digital Publishing Suite for CS5

When I download the file (AdobeDigitalPublishing-All.dmg) from the Adobe website I receive an error code when trying to open the file.
"Install" is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image. I've tried redownloading it several times but I continually receive the same error when trying to open the file. Does anyone know the problem? Mac OS X 10.8.2

DPS Tools Version 31.0.1 for Indesign CS6 fail to install.

I'm trying to install DPS Tools Version 31.0.1 for Indesign CS6 however the installer says the update is not applicable. How can I install it?

Not sure if this was solved for you, but this is what I did...
In terminal...
cd /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/
In there you'll see a file called: "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat"
You may need to change the permissions...
sudo chmod 666 AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
[ENTER YOUR PASSWORD WHEN PROMTED]
then ...
vim AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat and change the 1 to 0 between the word suppressed, like this...
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<Preferences>
<Suppressed>0</Suppressed>
Then kill all adobe software, relaunch photoshop and go to Help>Update. Shouldn't greyed about anymore.

Adobe Content Viewer for Indesign CS6

Adobe Content Viewer for Indesign CS6 has disappeared from my application folder, and after downloading AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6 and reinstalling the Content Viewer it still will not launch.
I have the necessary files and the instller says it was installed successfully…

Can't Get ACR Updates for PS CS6

My computer is a PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with 8GB of memory. My problem is I don't seem to be able to get any of the Adobe Camera Raw updates for Photoshop CS6 (perpetual license). It's stuck at ACR 8.1. I also can't get the last update to the PS CS6 application (13.0.1.3). As you can see from the screen capture of Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application, it says I have Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6 and says all applications are up to date. This is not the case as I have stated above. ACR should be at 8.4 and it's at 8.1.
If I open PS CS6 and go to Help > Updates... I get the message that all applications are up to date.
If I click on Preferences, it says "Only show updates for the following products" and there are no options to show updates for any CS6 products. Again, this display came from the Help menu in PS CS6. Why doesn't it show an option to check for updates to CS6? My PS CS6 application was a perpetual license purchase and wasn't converted to a Creative Cloud application.
I have been following several threads at this forum and the Photoshop forum that discuss problems similar to mine but have not found a solution. I followed a link in one of the responses to a download for ACR 8.4 for PS CS6 on Windows and thought I could do a manual installation. Instead, I got the following message that the update failed because "This patch is not applicable to you." I got the same message when I tried to manually install the Photoshop CS6 update to 13.0.1.3.
I would like to keep my PS CS6 (perpetual license) up to date, but I don't know what to do now and am hopeful someone in this community can help me with this issue.

Thank you very much, ssprengel, for this very helpful information. It never occurred to me that the camera and lens information was stored in a common location shared by both CC and CS6. Also, thanks again to Michelle for her useful reply as I did not know that the same ACR file could be used for both PS CC and PS CS6.
Although, I still don't know why my PS CS6 won't update properly or why the manual installers refused to run, you two have provided a satisfactory work around to keep ACR for CS6 up to date.
I'm sorry I can only mark one answer as correct and both you and Michelle's answers were very helpful. I marked Michelle's reply as correct because it let me know that I could copy the CC ACR file into the correct CS6 folder.

Problems installing Illustrator CC (2014) and InDesign CC (2014) on OS X Yosemite

I'm currently having problems installing Illustrator CC (2014) and InDesign CC (2014) on OS X Yosemite. Both applications fail with the message "Installation Failed: The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes.(-60)".
I've tried uninstalling Illustrator CC and InDesign CC and then reinstalling, but still get the same error message. Other applications in Creative Cloud all install without issues.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and resolved it please?

Sorry for the slow response. My Mac wouldn't boot following a failed Yosemite update. I've since reinstalled Yosemite but the exact same problem persists. My Mac is standalone and not on a managed network.
Thank you for the troubleshooting link. I've tried the recommended fix for the -60 error but it doesn't appear to be possible to download the trial version of Illustrator or InDesign for CC editions. They just trigger the Creative Cloud installer and shortly after the -60 error again.
The problem is still specific to Illustrator and InDesign and I've tried uninstalling all Creative Cloud applications and reinstalling. Every reinstalls except InDesign and Illustrator.

InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn for Indesign CS6

Is it possible to obtain a fresh copy of the InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn for Indesign CS6? I have installed Creative Suite CS6 on a fresh iMac 10.8.5 build, and I receive this error when opening Indesign CS6 only. All other applications run fine. AT first I had an issue with 6 or 7 plug-ins, but upon closing and reopening, I am down to just the one error.
Adobe Indesign does not recognize InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn as a valid plug-in. Please reinstall the InCopyImport.InDesignPlugIn plug-in and restart Indesign.

I have both InDesign CS6and InDesign CC 2014 on my computer. The foundation of both is the same. Even the tutorials are identical. So how you can say that CC was built from the ground up is preposterous.
Without getting into an argument with you. I will explain my frustration more clearly.
1/ I paid an extortionate amount of money for InDesign CS6 and have been very happy with the results
2/ It appears that Adobe and you want me to forget the amount of money that I have already invested, bin the old software and buy a subscription to a new more powerful program that was built on the same design. I will receive a meagre discount for the first year and then be charged in the region of £50.00 per month there after. That works out at £600 per calendar year. And a cost that will have to be passed on to my customers
3/ On other Adobe products they offer an add on for updates. So why can't they offer an add on for the Fixed and reflowable layouts.
4/ As mentioned in an earlier conversation. I am impressed with the software and will more than likely have to subscribe to CC 2014.
So lets end this conversation here in the knowledge that I will be buying a subscription .

Hi mcclausky, you may need to manually remove a policy setting from the registry. You also should scan for malware that might have created this problem.
