Problems installing Inspiration Browser with PSE 10

I have PSE 9 and recently installed PSE 10 on my Windows Computer running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. When I try to access the Adobe photoshop Inspiration Browser from either the introductory window or the HELP drop down in the Organizer, I am told that the Inspiration Browser is not installed and would I like to install it. I download the file adobephotoshopdotcominspirationbrowser.air and when I click install, I get the following message in the Application Window. "Sorry an Error has occurred. The application could not be installed because an application with that name already exixts at the selected installation location. Try installing to a different location."
I have removed and reinstalled Adobe AIR and still get the same message. I have searched and cannot file the file that is supposed to be there.
I have downloaded the Inspiration Browser program to the desktop and can open it from there, but then get a message that the Inspiration Browser should be opened from Photoshop Elements or it won't work properly.That fact seems to be true.
I have experienced the same problem with PSE 9 and could never open the Inspiration Browser in that program either.
I would appreciate help if anyone can suggest a solution.

Are you resizing the photo before save for web?
What settings are you using in the save for web dialog for the jpeg quality?
If you compress the jpeg too much (low quality settings below 60), that can make your photos look bad.
And save for the web in pse 10 automatically strips any metadata in order to keep the file sizes smaller.
Also, the save for web in pse 10 has a bad habit of not remembering your last used settings, so it's good to verify that your actually set to jpeg instead of the default GIF setting.

I had the same problem: Forst uninstalled the old inspiration brower version from the PC as instructed and then clicks the new browser download, and encountered the error message. It was quite frustrating. It turned out that I was using the FireFox internet browser (causing the erroer message.) When I copied the installation and launched in the IE, it came through. Once down loaded the exe file, it can be installed with no problem.

Problem installing flash player with I.E

Whilst surfing around the internet this morning I vaguely remember getting a message about needing an adobe flash player update shortly followed by my browser crashing. I didn't think much more of it but from this afternoon onwards I discovered that almost every website i visited would throw up a "This website wants to run the Following add-on: 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Adobe System Incorporation'. If you trust the website and the following add-on and want to allow it to run, Click Here..." message at the top of the page.
I tried resetting Internet Explorer 8's security settings to default (i think they were default anyway) but this made no difference. I went to the adobe website to attempt to install the latest flash player but every time i went to the installation page it would refresh itself after about 5 seconds with a "This tab has been recovered. A problem with this web page caused Internet Explorer to close and reopen the tab" message at the top of the page. The page would then refresh again, this time ending up with a "We were unable to return you to adobe.com. Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website." error page.
In an effort to resolve these problems I uninstalled adobe flash player using the adobe uninstaller (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html), rebooted my computer and attempted to install the flash player again. Once again I couldn't install it with my attempts again ending up at the "We were unable to return you to adobe.com. Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website." error page.
I just tried downloading the Firefox browser and have had no problem installing and using the adobe flash player so I am guessing the problem is some sort of issue between adobe and internet explorer- any solutions?

Hi, You didn't say what version of IE you are using, but most likely IE7 or IE8. It's some option in the browser I'm sure.
Since you ran the Uninstaller, and it Uninstalls all Flash Player from All browsers, try this Adobe Installer that you will download and SAVE to your Desktop. Then close all browsers, keep your Security setting on Medium for the Internet Zone, be sure to use the Administrator account(only one that has permission). Check your system tray (area by the clock) and disable any application that uses Flash, as Messenger services.
Run the Installer from your Desktop and when it is finished, be sure to Reboot(restart) your computer.

Check your websites to see if they are working properly.

Inspiration browser gave many problems, that's why Adobe dropped it in PSE11.
I will recommend you to use tv.adobe.com, which has almost all the video tutorials you will find through inspiration browser.

Unable to install Inspiration Browser Update

I have windows 7 on an HP G72 laptop. I uninstalled the Inspiration Browser and Adobe Air prior to attempting the update (as INSTRUCTED!), but the installation of the new Inspiration Browser fails, over and over again. I have tried all the solutions I have found in the forums, to NO AVAIL. I'm looking for a solution to this problem. Please help.

Problems installing Windows 7 with boot camp, cant find the cd/dvd driver...

I´m having some problems installing Windows 7 on my new 12,1 (21,5) iMac with boot camp. When the computer restarts and the Windows 7 setup begins, i get the message that the cd/dvd driver cant be found, so i can't continue the installation. I've tried searching online for the driver, but can't find it. The cd/dvd seems to be a OPTIARC cd/dvd ad-5690h, which seems to be produced by Sony. I have a authentic windows 7. I even tried loading everything ver to a usb-drive, but then it wont boot.

After reading around on this, and other forums I tried to burn a new dvd at reduced speed(2x), but that did'nt work either... I have an authentic windows 7 iso, downloaded with serial, is there any way to boot this from a jump drive or external hdd?

Premier 10: How to install Inspiration Browser?

I took Premier and Photoshop Elements off my computer and installed version 10 of both from a CD combo kit.
When I launch Premier Elements, the Organizer loads. One choice is the "Launch Inspiration Browser" button. When I click on it a screen pops up saying Inspriation Browser is not installed and would I like to intall it. Clicking "Yes" sends me to download box in my internet browser at www.goodaps.com. Pushing the "Install Now" button and running the program yelds: "This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
It is also odd that when I launch Photoshop Elements, I can run Inspriration Browser. So, I know it is installed. For some reason the Premier path doesn't work.
Clues, hints or suggestions?

Problems installing Flash player with IE

I am having problems with installing the macromedia Flash
player on Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 2000 pro. However the
thing is that with Firefox the flash player works fine. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the flash player with no success. The
install program will tell me flash player is installed, however on
every website with flash I get the square with the red cross in the
upper corner.

Which windows version you are currently using ?
If you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, then Flash Player for Internet explorer is updated by the windows update by Microsoft so you need to update your Windows to get the latest version of Flash player.

Problems installing 10.7 with defective firewire ports

I tried to install Lion in a Mac mini 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 Gb, but it never ecovered from the first reboot. It looks like the installation process can not recover itself from the initial hardware check, because I have problems with the Firewire ports. I know that because 10.6 took 10min to boot, until I remove the IOFireWire*.kext preference files to avoid boot-time checking.
I was able to recover by moving the hard drive to another mac mini, and select the 10.6 partition as the boot partition one (took some time...). Now the "Install Mac OS X" button lies in my 10.6 task bar laughing at me... (do not dare to touch me!)

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Problems Installing iTunes 10 with Windows Vista

I am running Windows Vista (32 bit) and have installed iTunes 10. Any time I try to launch iTunes I receive the following message: "iTunes needs to be repaired to work with Vista. Use the 'Programs and Features' control panel to repair iTunes."
The bigger problem is when I open the Programs and Features control panel, iTunes is not listed as a program. All of the other iTunes components are listed(Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, Bonjour). However, I can see iTunes (version 10) in the C:>Programs Files>iTunes folder, just not in the control panel.
I was going to attempt to uninstall and reinstall as numerous posts have suggested, however, since the program does not appear in the control panel, I have not been able to uninstall it.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Problem installing program running with Java

When i start to run a program appear a window witj following message: "preparing to run java virtual machine"..after that appear next small window with installshield wizard. When make a transition between this small windows to start to install the program, nothing happens it is he does not make this transition.
I already download the new version without results.
Do have any ideia what could be the problem.?

Which JRE is bundle inside your application ?
Is it International or US only ??
I have a reason to believe that US version is
throwing NullPointerException when installing it
on windows 2000 server
When you starting the installer, The installer is unpacking the JRE - so check which directory it expanded and than Try running java.exe from the JRE that was installed.
Maybe its currupted, You dont need to run any code
even if your run java.exe without anything the
exception is thrown
If exception is thrown try the international version of JRE

Problem using PS CS4 with PSE 8

I have just installed Windows 7 (64-bit) on my computer. Everything's OK except that I can no longer use Photoshop CS4 as the external editor with Elements 8. Selecting a file and clicking on 'Edit in Photoshop' opens PS but does not load the file. Have tried reinstalling both applications but this did not solve the problem.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hey John,
While installing Photoshop CS4 did you choose only to install the 64-bit flavour of the application? I believe there are some issues if you have only the 64 bit flavour installed. I believe there is an option to set the same during the installation of PS-CS4.
Can you please retry by uninstalling CS4 and installing it with both 32bit and 64bit flavours?
If you already have CS4 installed with both 32-bit and 64-bit flavours and the problem still persists for you, can you please attach the files here with which you're having trouble and I'll try them on my Win-7 (64-bit) machine.
