Problems installing jinitiator 1.3.1.22 on windows 7

Hello all,
I am using jinitiator 1.3.1.22 on windows 7 with explorer 8 or firefox 3.5.
I install jinitiator manually and the last java plug in.
I change the jvm.dll of jinitiator to the last java version and still
the browser crash...
Any help?

I have successfully installed Jinitiator 1.3.1.22 and 1.3.1.30 on Windows 7 and then I have tried many different JVMs (1.5u13 all the way to 1.6u10) and replaced the jvm.dll accordingly.
In all cases, the Forms will load and display BUT the screen does not seem to repaint and show the data that is being typed in or drop down box options, UNLESS you cause the screen to repaint (such as when you move the window). But the form is actually working and so are all the options and buttons. Clicking on buttons will cause the button action to be invoked. It just that the screen appears to be frozen.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?

I tried same with OBIEE 11.1.1.6 using RCU 11.1.1.6
Cannot get past the step ASInstance failed.
On top of this, there is the humiliation of hearing people set up 11.1.1.3 with 2 GB memory on Windows XP32.
Now I understand, size-wise there is major difference between 11.1.1.3 and 11.1.1.6 and 11.1.1.5
But I cannot get through this process anyhow and 11.1.1.3 is not available
of course there is a windows 32 install so, given the memory requirements and memory limitations of Windows 32 bit, and other people's success I cannot understand my reason for failure.
    Please help

Please check the System Requirements for OBIEE 11.1.1.5, Windows XP might not be supported.

  • Problem installing j2sdk1.4.2 on Linux and Windows NT

    LINUX:
I use Linux (Suse 8.1) at home. I tried to install j2sdk1.4.2 rpm at "/usr/local/java" instead of "/usr/java", but with no success.
"--prefix" and "--badreloc" options did not work.
    "--relocate" did not work either.
So, now I had to install it at /usr/java which is the defalut location. How can install it at a different location?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Windows:
I have to use windows at work.
I had a problem (s) installing j2sdk 1.4.2 on Windows NT. I was trying to install it into "d:\programs\j2sdk1.4.2" instead of "c:\j2sdk1.4.2". Installer stopped with the following error.
    "Error 1303: blah blah"
So, I created the "j2sdk1.4.2" directory myself and started the installation again, but this time I got the following error, even though the directory is already created.
"Error 1317: An error occured while creating the directory d:\programs\j2sdk1.4.2"
Now, I have a couple of questions.
    1) Do I have to be an administrator to install Java?
    Until j2sdk1.4.1, it wasn't so.
    2) Do I have to shutdown the machine after installation?
If the answer to either one of the questions is YES, I would NOT install 1.4.2 until December 2003 or until my windows machine crashes, which might be earlier. :)
    I appreciate any help.
    Thanks

  • Problems installing QuickTime 7 with iTunes 6 for Windows XP

I am encountering problems with the latest version of QuickTime (version 7.0.3) together with iTunes 6.
Installation is fine except at the end when I receive an error message saying ’1628: Failed to complete installation’. It appears that both programmes have been installed and work but I am unable to uninstall them. Neither program appears in the Add/Remove programs list when they should be. If I select ‘Uninstall QuickTime’ from the Program list the uninstalation process starts but stops half way through.
I have tried downloading QuickTime standalone version but this is exactly the same. I removed the QuickTime folder, and all its contents, from C:\Program Files\QuickTime and installed the previous version (6.5.2) which installs and uninstalls fine.
I am at a loss as to why the latest version is causing problems.
Would appreciate any help or advice as to why this is happening?
    Thanks

NO... 2nd Gen shuffle requires iTunes 7.0.2 or later

That particular key can sometimes be hit by malware, liam, so just to be on the safe side I think we should try a malware scan first.
Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)

Does the scan find any infections? If so, please paste the contents of the log file for the scan in a reply here so we can have a look

  • Problems installing amd drivers on HP Dv7 for windows 10

I have the HP DV7 4263cl with switchable graphics AMD chipset M880G with both Mobility Radeon HD 4250  and AMD 6370m. My processor is the AMD Phenom II.  The drivers on HP's support site for my laptop are very old (2010) and work fine in Windows 7. However when I try to install the drivers in compatability mode on in Windows 8.1 or 10 or manually install them through the device manager, my computer does not respond well and doesnt install everything fully and either shuts down or shows a blue error screen.
I have tried everything and haven't had any luck getting these installed.  Please Help!!!!

Yours is the third post I've seen about switchable graphics not working in Windows 10. Sadly, you may have to simply hope for a Windows 10 driver update. Have you checked for a Chipset or BIOS/UEFI update? Maybe you would have better luck on the AMD forum.   If you found my answer helpful please say thanks by clicking on the Thumb's Up icon. Thanks!

  • Error installing Jinitiator

    Hello
I have a problem installing jinitiator version 1.3.1.22, I got the following error while installing : "Error while registering Oracle Jinitiator 1.3.1.22 registry keys"
What Should I do in order to install Jinitiator 1.3.1.22?
    Thanks!
    Ramiro Ortiz

    Hi Ramiro,
I got that same error when I was playing around with installing different versions of JInitiator - I think I'd failed to uninstall an old installation properly before trying to reinstall it. Once I went into Control Panel and did a proper Add/Remove Programs to get rid of my old JInitiator, it reinstalled fine. Don't know if this will help you..?

  • Problem instaling flash player plz help

I am having problems instaling flash player 10, i am using windows 7 and when i try to dowmload it there is a window that comes up saying that it did not pass the integrity check can anyone advise me on what the problem is?

    Try downloading the offline installer(s):
    for Internet Explorer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save to disk);
    for all other browsers http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe (save to disk);
close all browser windows, then run the downloaded installer(s).

  • Installing JInitiator (Install Problem)

When i try to open my form (forms10g) in the browser on client side giving a specific URL. It should install JInitiator on first run after a dialogue box (with Yes, No and Cancel buttons). On pressing Yes button browser tries to install the JInitiator but a message prompts “This program is used internally by PackedFormTheWeb. It should not be executed directly.” And browser stops, does nothing.
I tried to install the JInitiator manually after downloading from Oracle site, but the same message prompts again.

If you are still experiencing difficulties please try copying the install files from the DVD to your desktop and try installing from there.  The error still indicates that the installation files have become compromised.  If you are installing from the DVD this could indicate either a problem with the media or your optical drive.

  • Problem with JInitiator!!! - Urgent

I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server with 4GB RAM and Oracle9iASR2. I'm running Forms&Reports9i services quite well. Now, I have a demand for using OLE integration and for WebUtil purpose I have to install Jinitiator 1.3.1.13, for instance. But when I start a Jinitiator installation, I just see an error message 111 which is telling me that I don't have enough memory, that I must release memory by killing some running application (no matters which one) and then repeat the installation procedure. At that moment I have about 3.8 GB free memory, at least! It's the same problem with some differrent version of Jinitiator. What's the problem? How can I bypass this? Please, help me, this is very urgent!

Did you try a reboot of the client?
Also, can you post a full error message , it sounds like this is coming from Windows...
