Problems installing player on Win7/IE8
I am attempting to install the most recent version of Flash Player, and I think I have exhausted the online FAQ/Troubleshooting.
I am running Internet Explorer 8 32-bit on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.
I have attempted various combinations of:
- Deinstalling and reinstalling IE8
- Resetting IE8 to default settings
- Installing Flash using the web/Adobe Download Manager interface
- Installing Flash using the .exe download file (install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe)
- Installing Flash using the .msi download file (install_flash_player_10_active_x.msi)
- Completely deinstalling Flash each time using the deinstall tool (uninstall_flash_player.exe)
- Scanning my system for malware or unverified processes
- Altering the registry with the recommended Windows Resource Kit (C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Resource Kits\Tools\reset_fp10.cmd)
Each install has the same result. The installer claims to have succeeded, and I can see Flash Player in the Windows programs list where you can install and deinstall programs. However, when I launch IE8, I cannot view any Flash content, and my Manage Add-Ons list does not include Flash player. The plugins list does include Adobe get_atlcom Class, whatever that is.
I think I have in good faith read all the troubleshooting I could find, to no avail. Any idea how to fix this?

Yes, Flash was working at one point. I don't know what version it was.
That version of Flash was installed using a Microsoft tool (SCCM, or System Center Configuration Manager) provided by our IT department that does setup IT-supported applications. That version of Flash stopped working, so I went this route, and tried to deinstall/reinstall, which is how I got where I am now.
I can still attempt to install Flash using that tool (it will install a limited set of IT-supported applicaitons), but it self-upgrades, so it will attempt to install 10.1.102.64. When I do this, I get the same result as the other installers, claims of success but no ActiveX control.
On interesting side effect though is that it seems to be somehow separate from the Adobe installer. If I run both the Adobe installer and the SCCM installer, both will succeed, and Flash will be listed in the programs and features area twice. I have since deinstalled both, but there may be remnants of wierdness in the registry. So, I went through the exercise of searching the registry, and I found some interesting items:

Problems installing Flash v10 onto IE8
I cannot install Flash onto IE8 at all. I tried uninstalling flash, restarting, installing and restarting; no luck. I cannot uninstall IE8, when I go to do it in updates it does not load, perhaps there is an error with IE8?
Mike, thanks for the info. In your Flash files, you have a mix of two FP files, those and the fact in the add ons you don't
have the ActiveX Control for Flash Player. The Shockwave ActiveX Control most likely is for the Shockwave Player, which is separate from the Flash Player. So I'm sure the AVG is blocking the one needed for FP.
So, yes you are going to have to Uninstall/Install using IE. Download the Uninstaller from here and SAVE it to your Desktop.

Then download this Flash Player Installer for Internet Explorer and SAVE it to your Desktop.

Then since the Uninstaller will Uninstall ALL Flash files, download this Flash Installer for Firefox(and other browsers)
and SAVE it to your Desktop:

Now I am somewhat more detailed in how I suggest Uninstalling/Installing and that is because I try to do it right the first time, so it doesn't have to be done again.
1. After you have those SAVED to your Desktop, then Disconnect from the Internet.
2. Open the AVG User Interface, double click on the Resident Shield & Untick the option Resident Shield Active & save the changes. Now, double click on the LinkScanner & Untick the option Enable AVG Search-Shield and the Enable Active Surf-Shield & save the changes.
3. Disable the Firewall
4. Check in the system tray and disable any applications that use Flash.
5. Close ALL browsers
6. Now RUN the Uninstaller from your Desktop. When finished, Reboot(restart) your computer. When fully Rebooted, Reboot again and when fully Rebooted, go to your Flash folder and make sure it contains NO Flash files at all. If any are there, then RUN the Uninstaller again & Reboot. (I know it's a pain)
7. Now RUN the Installer from your Desktop, and when finished, Reboot Once
8. You can now check your Flash folder for the IE files and there should be 4 entries, 2 will be 10.0.45.2 vs. and a log file and a Uninstall file. Then go to your IE "All add ons" and you should see the Shockwave Flash Object...Flash10e.ocx & make sure it is Enabled.
9. Now, RUN the Installer for Firefox from your Desktop and Reboot Once.
10. Now re-Enable your Firewall & other AVG components that you Disabled.
11. Connect back to the Internet
12. Post back all files in the Flash folder and the add on in IE. Also check using FF in plug-ins for the SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is Enabled.
This sounds more complicated than it is:-) It takes longer to type it out than do it! This is the procedure I use myself and have had no problem.

Problems installing CS2 in Win7 :(

I have recently reformatted my computer (Win7) and I tried to reinstall cs2 from a the DVDs and had some problems. I got a couple of notifications:

Having problem installing iTunes on Win7 x64
I tried installing iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows 7 (64-bit) from apple website but few seconds after the installation begins, an error comes up that says: "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." When I press OK it stops the installation. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

I actually have a few problems with this headset, but let me start with the drivers first.
As far as I can tell, I'm currently using "old" Windows 7 drivers. Version is .0.0.640. The creative site however, lists version .0.0004 as the latest. So I downloaded HSHP_PCDRV_LB__0_0004.exe and installed it.
At least, that's what I thought.
Because after the mandatory Windows restart, the version number of the drivers is still listed as .0.0.640.
Question : How can I succesfully install the new drivers under Windows 7 x64?
Another problem I'm still experiencing is a very low microphone recording volume. I say "still" because I've had this problem in XP as well. If I look in Windows 7's sound panel, I get perhaps 2 bars out 0 when I speak (loudly) into the microphone. Even if I shout I don't get more than 4 bars, while recording level is set to max (00).
The only program that is able to use the microphone is Skype, because Skype digitally amplifies the sound. That does mean however that Skype also amplifies any available noise, and with such low recording volumes, there's quite a bit. So even though I can use the microphone in Skype, quality isn't really all that good.
But using the microphone while playing games is absolutely impossible (even though I distinctly remember Creative selling this as a "Gaming Headset"). My team mates can't hear me at all because it's too soft.
Question 2: Has the problem of low microphone recording volume finally been solved? If not, will it ever? Or do I just throw this headset on the large heap of hardware that never fulfilled its promises?
I have a few more question but I guess I'll save those for later since if I can't get the above two problems fixed, I'm going to retire the headset.

To answer one of my own questions (I hate doing that), it's apparently because the drivers haven't changed since v.0.0.640. So even though both version .0.0.0003 and .0.0.0004 are offered as a driver update, they aren't. I have confirmed this by unpacking the downloads and comparing the embedded drivers. The only things that differ, are some of the support applications.
As for my second question (the microphone's low recording volume), seeing that this is a hardware problem and Creative probably isn't able to fix it, I think I found a solution myself. -
Problem installing flash player with I.E
Whilst surfing around the internet this morning I vaguely remember getting a message about needing an adobe flash player update shortly followed by my browser crashing. I didn't think much more of it but from this afternoon onwards I discovered that almost every website i visited would throw up a "This website wants to run the Following add-on: 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Adobe System Incorporation'. If you trust the website and the following add-on and want to allow it to run, Click Here..." message at the top of the page.
I tried resetting Internet Explorer 8's security settings to default (i think they were default anyway) but this made no difference. I went to the adobe website to attempt to install the latest flash player but every time i went to the installation page it would refresh itself after about 5 seconds with a "This tab has been recovered. A problem with this web page caused Internet Explorer to close and reopen the tab" message at the top of the page. The page would then refresh again, this time ending up with a "We were unable to return you to adobe.com. Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website." error page.
In an effort to resolve these problems I uninstalled adobe flash player using the adobe uninstaller (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html), rebooted my computer and attempted to install the flash player again. Once again I couldn't install it with my attempts again ending up at the "We were unable to return you to adobe.com. Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website." error page.
I just tried downloading the Firefox browser and have had no problem installing and using the adobe flash player so I am guessing the problem is some sort of issue between adobe and internet explorer- any solutions?

Since you ran the Uninstaller, and it Uninstalls all Flash Player from All browsers, try this Adobe Installer that you will download and SAVE to your Desktop. Then close all browsers, keep your Security setting on Medium for the Internet Zone, be sure to use the Administrator account(only one that has permission). Check your system tray (area by the clock) and disable any application that uses Flash, as Messenger services.
Run the Installer from your Desktop and when it is finished, be sure to Reboot(restart) your computer.

Check your websites to see if they are working properly.

Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Problems have been ongoing with the Firefox I had installed a while ago: would open browser in Safari, and FF would take over; keep asking me to personalize my browser program. In truth, Firefox was kind of "taking over", and I wasn't happy with it. Usually open the internet in Safari.
Present problems started with trying to download, install and open a few new games. Kept telling me I needed to install Adobe Flashplayer. I could download it, but it wouldn't install. Downloaded both the Flashplayer installer AND the Flashplayer uninstaller a number of times. Today, I decided to get rid of the Firefox on my hard drive and download a newer version - then try again to download Flashplayer and install. Having problems installing the new flash player
As the title say im having great problems installing the new flash player. I have downloaded it many times and tried installing each time, still nothing. Ive tried installing it offline with my computer totally disconnected from the internet, nothing. Each time i try and install it, it goes through 2 windows (one saying if i want to run it, and one asking for permission) and after they disappear, the icon also disappears strangely =S. I checked it on task manager and it is just sitting there doing nothing. Please help.

Problems installing plug-ins to Photoshop CS5 Extended on a new Win7 64-bit laptop. (Same CS5 and plug-ins installed OK several years ago on a Vista laptop. Now I'm just trying to migrate everything over to the new laptop.) Even some Adobe updates won't install. Instead, a message box pops up on the CS5 screen saying "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Any solution?
CS5's automatic update mechanism is broken, perhaps because it is no longer updated and can't cope with the newer ways of updating.
So this means you will have make a list of the updates that failed, go here: Product updates
and manually download/install from there.

Problem installing Flash Player-says to close Internet Explorer, but it's already closed
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player, and have checked that it is installed and enabled, but still the application that requires Flash Player asks for it to be installed. When I try to install it again, it says to close Internet Explorer and retry, which I do, but to no avail. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Adobe Flash is pretty much a 32-bit application. You may be able to fix the problem by going into your Applications folder, and right-clicking on Safari. There is a check box that will allow you to run Safari in 32-bit mode. Try that and see if Flash works in Safari.
I have retired my iMac, and have an HP now, but a friend helped me with the same problem when I upgraded to Snow Leopard. My PC seems to have just one 64-bit browser, that being Internet Explorer. I am using IE9 Beta in 64-bit, and the Beta for Flash "Square" in 64-bit seems to work fine. See link below:

Problems installing flash player. Learner
I am experienceing problems installing flash player. I go to the adobe website and install the program and I am told it has been successfully installed. No flash player icon apppears on my desktop. When I press the windows start icon and click on "all programs" there is no evidence of the flash player. However when I click on" my computer" icon and go into uninstall/change the flash player program is there.I have spent quite some time installing, uninstalling and installing again without success
I am using windows Vista. I am also using Kaspsersky Internet security. It is a private computetr so I do not think I need administrators permission. I have tried installing flash player using both interner explorer and Mozilla firefox.Please can anyone help. Use IE and go to Help and click on About Internet Explorer. It should tell you sp1 or sp2.
Also using IE, go to Tools, click on Manage add ons and look in all add ons for Shockwave Flash Object. Let me know if it is Enabled and if it is version 10.0.45.2 or says Flash10e.ocx.
Then switch over to FF (Firefox) and find the plug-in SWF version 10.0.45.2 and make sure it is listed and Enabled.
Post this info back to me.

Looks like you have to upgrade to at least 7.8.2.16.

Problems installing Flash player on my mac
I tried to install the latest version of flash on my i-mac. It didn't work so I followed the directions and uninstalled the old version. Now I cannot install the new version. The icon just bounces in the dock and won't respond. I've tried shutting down, restarting, clearing the caches, etc. Now Software Update won't work and neither will Quicktime. I've removed Firefox and am just running Safari 5.1. Did I f**k things up by uninstalling flash from my system? Help!

If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer, OR
Download the stand-alone installer posted at the bottom of the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html in the ‘Still having problems’ section.

Can I set up my Mac mini to transfer its contents to a new Mac Pro and then disconnect my Cinema Display and use it connected to the Pro to complete the transfer? Do I actually need two displays to manage the transfer?

Hi, i have the requirement to have the ship-to-party, bill-to-party and others filled from the ordering party master data (table KNVP). I realized this in Userexit ICSV0003. I face the issue that this user exit is only processed if an equipment is en
