Problems instantiating oracle xdk class CXmlCtx

I'm having problems using the CXmlCtx C++ class in XDK 10g when I define my own ErrorHandler class. The default version appears to be working but does not allow any errors to be dealt with properly.
I believe there is some kind of memory corruption occurring as I'm getting inconsistent results when I instantiate CXmlCtx. There are times when the CXmlCtx class is instantiated and then I can successfully parse an xml doc BUT most of the time I'm getting a mix between Error 19 returned (which is XMLERR_PROP_NOT_FOUND) and a core dump.
Does anyone know what error 19 actually means and more importantly how can I avoid it? (and hopefully the core dumps).

Hi,
I am facing a similar problem. Please let me know if you were able to resolve this/

    How come this doesn't work?
    public class A {
        public static class B {

    }The errors i got are:
    -Not an enclosing class: A
    -No enclosing instance of type A is in scope.

    The code you posted compiled just fine for me.Ya you're right... stupid JBuilder failed me again; had to do a clean rebuild for JBuilder to recognize its not an error.

  • Oracle blob class problem

    Hello again.
    I have the following code:
    java.sql.ResultSet resultSetForUpdate = stat.executeQuery("select picture from some_table where some_id=" + someId + " for update");
    java.sql.Blob blob = resultSetForUpdate.getBlob(1);
    // here is some code that types the class of the blob
    logger.info("blob class is: "+blob.getClass());
    now the problem is that the class returned with blob.getClass is different on 2 portals... on 1 portal I get oracle.sql.BLOB (this is the expected result) but on the other I get com.inqmy.services.dbpool.remote.RemoteBlobImpl
    does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how can I do so that I always get the oracle.sql.BLOB class?
    more information: both portal installations are ep6 sp2 with (I think) identical patch levels (35 if I remember correctly). the database they access is the same one. the dbpool definitions (in visual administrator) look similar.
    thanks in advance.
    silviu.

    Thanks for taking the time to look at this.
    No, it is the same driver on both servers. The driver is the oracle driver oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver provided by Oracle themselves.
    This is not it...
    Could there be some path problem? The server on which it works fine is a windows machine, whereas the server where it doesnt work is a solaris machine, I think (not windows for sure).

    Hi,
    I encountered a problem with Oracle-eway-generated PreparedStatements when trying to build a project in enterprise designer . I know that without using any prepraredstatement, my project builds fine. Below is the text on the error pop-up window:

Somehow, Oracle eway cannot get the parameter type from database correctly.
    Is there a solution for this? I couldn't find any patches/updates for Enterprise designer or eway. Can you point me to right direction if there is any.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mete

    Hi there,
    (I think) I have found the solution. When designing OTD, I have mapped VARCHAR2 column as CHAR. Somehow, JCAPS throws a code generation exception if the field is not mapped as a CHAR for a VARCHAR2 database column.

  • Oracle XDK and FOP 0.20.4 not working...

    Hi all,
    We have created a sample application with Apache FOP to obtain a PDF document.
    But, although it works fine with XERCES and XALAN, it doesn4t work with Oracle XDK, why?
    May it be a bug in Oracle XDK? Or do Apache projects implements something non-standard that is used? Or is Oracle who does not implement all the specification?
    This is the sample: (in perfect spanish ;-) )
    You only should change the file locations and the System.setParameters and libraries to use Apache or Oracle XDK.
    Can anybody help us?

  • Classpath problem instatiating oracle driver

    Hi everybody,
    I have made a little desktop application that fetches sum data in a oracle database and processes it. The program runs fine when I run it from my IDE. I have downloaded the oracle driver classes ojdbc14.jar . My problem is that I cant seem to set the classpath correct when running the application from commandline.
    I use the command:
    java -classpath .:ojdbc14.jar:jdom.jar QueryBox
    where jdom.jar is for postprocessing the data i fetch out, and QueryBox is the GUI that starts the application.
    The program is started correctly but when I come down to this part in the code:
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());Then an execption occurs because for some reason it cannot find the OracleDriver class when im runnin from commandline. Any help wud be much appreciated!

    Don't register the driver that way - just do this:
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");That registers the driver class. - MOD

  • Recursivity in Oracle Java Class Generator from XML

    I am about to start using Oracle XDK for marshalling/unmarshaling XML documents but
    I need to know if the generator will be able to create correctly the java classes
    from a DTD that is recursive :
    <!-- #[START] -->
    <!ELEMENT node ( date, symbol, node* ) >
    <!ATTLIST node
    name ID #REQUIRED
    ref IDREF #IMPLIED >
    <!ELEMENT date (#PCDATA) >
    <!ELEMENT symbol (#PCDATA) >
    <!-- #[END] -->
    and also, if given a recursive XML (e.g. one compliant with the DTD presented above)
    it will be able to parse correctly the XML into the java classes.
    cheers
    francesc

    well, after having had to try out myself this specific functionality of the
    product, I'm happy to say that YES it works and unlike JAXB
    (maybe I didn't try hard enough with SUN JAXB) it allows recursivity of complex types.
    However, I'm not so happy with the lack of replies in this unattended (or so it seems!) forum
    cheers

    hey bro,
    well it happens alot and i faced the same problem while working on 9.2 and 9.0. The problem was with the same error as urs, couldn't exp from 9.2 to 9.0.The solution that i implemented was to connect from 9.0 to 9.2 and then taking the exp of the schema and then imp it back on 9.0 and it worked efficiently. the problem might be the algo or syntax or whatever.
    try this for example. u have 9.2(source) and 9.0 (destination). create a tns for source and connect it by using 9.0 sql with the same schema user on 9.2 obviously, then export whatever u want and save. Then conn back with 9.0(dest) schema user and import it. Now it worked for me.
    Hopefully the same exercise works for u.
    have fun
    zaibi.

    At the time of problem, # of oracle processes in the OS was about 4000,
    which is the OS limit for max processes a user can create.
    But the number of sessions in the v$session was about 2000.
    I also observed that SMON process turned to ZOMBIE (defunct) process.
    It seems that MTS opens more oracle processes in the OS or turned some oracle processes to zombie.
    But how can it be, since MTS does not create any new oracle processes except shared server process
    in the OS.
    When I turned back to dedicated server, everything works fine, that is, database sessions and OS oracle prosesses are almost the same.
    Thanks,

  • Problem installing Oracle Identity Manager Server  9.1

    Hello,
    I try to install oracle identity Manager Server 9.1, but I'm having a problem.
    Oracle identity manager 9.03 is already installed with jboss-4.0.3SP1 and j2sdk1.4.2_15
    and oracle 10.2.0
    So I follow these steps to clean out the db:
    1. Drop tablespace: drop tablespace oimtbs including contents;
    2. Drop user: drop user oimuser cascade;
    and ran prepare_xl_db.bat as instructed. No errors in the log.
    I ran the DiagonasticDashboard : the db setup was fine.
    When I ran the installer "setup_server.exe", i haved this message :
    Folowing Error occured during schema creation
    Error encountered while loading database script
    E:\OIM_Install\OIM9100\installServer\Xellerate/db/oracle/xell.sql
    Please contact your DBA!
    maximum key length (1478) exceeded
    Does anybody have any idea what this error is about ?
    Thanks.

    Index IDX_LKV_LKV_ENCODED on Table LKV (Column :- LKV_ENCODED - VARCHAR2(3000)) is failing on 2k block size. Though all the Indexes are working fine with the 4k block size.
    But OIM Dev team recommends to create the 8k block size for the Index storage.
    Because the blocksize affects the number of keys within each index node, it follows that the blocksize will have an effect on the structure of the index tree. All else being equal, large blocksizes will have more keys, resulting in a flatter index than the same index created in a 2k tablespace. A large blocksize will also reduce the number of consistent gets during index access, improving performance for scattered reads access.
    HOW TO CREATE THE INDEXES IN LARGER BLOCKSIZE TABLESPACE
    In the existing database:-
    Create a tablespace with the 8k blocksize, For Example
    First,
    Set the system cache size for that particular db block size
    sql> alter system set db_8k_cache_size=100M;
    sql> CREATE TABLESPACE db_8k_tablespace DATAFILE 'C:/oracle/product/10.2.0/oradata/8k_file.dbf' SIZE 100M BLOCKSIZE 8192;
    Then
    Reorganize the Index using command:-
    sql> Alter Index <Index_Name> Rebuild tablespace <Tablespace_Name>

  • Problem with Oracle 11g(32 bit) installation on windows 7 ultimate edition

    Hello all,
    I have a problem with Oracle 11g(32 bit) installation on windows 7 ultimate edition (32 bit).
    I have successfully installed it immediately after OS installation. But today, i have decided to deinstall it and go for Oracle 10g version for 32 bit.
    Everything went normal during installation, but i can see the services is not present in services.msc. Also its throwing some exception for dbca, netca
    Now i tried to deinstall it and again go for 11g. But even the same story here..
    Can anybody give me a solution for this..
    -Regards

    i recently install Oracle 11g R1 on windows 7 ultimate, i installed it and working perfectly.
    ur problem is that u install latest version and now u trying to installing old version.
    now u need to uninstall 10g and delete oracle from services, if the probleme presist then u should
    install fresh windows 7.
    Regards
    SaqibNo need to install a fresh OS. That's like tearing your house down just because you wired a lamp wrong and blew a circuit breaker.
    There are MeaLink notes on how to eradicate an Oracle install from Windows, but it boils down to this:
    Stop all Oracle services
    In the registery:
    - Delete all oracle services from the register (HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
    - Delete the entire Oralce folder from HKLM\Software
    reboot
    Delete the ORACLE_HOME directory and any other Oracle related directories/files. Offhand, it seems like there is an Oracle directory under Program Files.
    reboot

  • A lot of problems with Oracle BI SEE 11g

    I have a lot of problems with Oracle BI SEE 11g
    1. I upgraded my BI SEE 10 repository and can it openning in offline mode.
    2. I can't deploy my upgraded repository in EM MW Control 11g - when i try to open Farm_bifoundation_domain->Business Intelligence->coreapplication, i get error "Stream closed
    For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beggining with: Server Exception during PPR, #41".
    Opening Logs by EM control doesn't work too.
    in file middleware\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs\AdminServer.log i see this event:
    <Error> <HTTP> <oratest.itera.ru> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <b639ac3e56e9a463:bd6fa7f:12ac7271e09:-8000-00000000000009e8> <1283408423378> <BEA-101019> <[ServletContext@329875093[app:em module:/em path:/em spec-version:2.5]] Servlet failed with IOException
    java.io.IOException: Stream closed
    Have you any ideas?
    3. Ok, i taking sample repository and adding a new datasource in it:
    Database: Oracle 8i
    Connection pool:
    Call interface OCI 8i/9i
    Data source name:
    (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (Host = oraapp) (Port = 1521) ) ) (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = MYSID) ) )
    This settings are working fine in BI 10.
    In BI 11g i get this funny error: "The connection has failed". I lost my time in attempts to connect to Oracle DB 8, but have not results. After that i hacked button "Query DBMS" at "Features" tab, pressed it and when get error "ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported.".
    Therefore Oracle 8 DB as datasource not supported. Am i right?
    4. In sample repository i added oracle DB 10 as datasource, then added two dual tables and their connection to all layers.
    Now i open BI Answers, and trying to create report with one dummy column, Now i have this error:
    Error
         View Display Error
    Odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).
    Error Details
    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P

    SQL Issued: SELECT s_0, s_1 FROM ( SELECT 0 s_0, "ORA10G"."dual"."dummy" s_1 FROM "ORA10G" ) djm
    Database features are defaults.
    Does anyone solve this problem?

    Turribeach, Thanks for you time.
    1. It was not a question
    3. Yes, i have read platforms, but not supported datasources. Now i see, that BI 11g support as datasource Oracle DB 9.2.0.7 or higher. I am sorry.
    4. I'm using OCI connection type
    Now i recreate Database in Physical schema and answers is showing report data for me! But only from one table, when i use columns from to tables from one datasource, i geting error:
    Error View Display Error Odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW). Error Details Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P State: HY000. Code: 10058.
