Problems IPad 4.2.1 Update
After new update:
1. icalander began to act strange i.e. keyboard would not disappear, calandar would not rotate when ipad rotated
2. icalander, no longer edit the REPEAT in an event that has been created
3. Also the switch on the side now mutes the sound instead of stopping the ipad from rotating
Are these issues being addressed

I'm havind difficult understanding you but I'll give it a shot.
1. Mine works just fine. Perhaps the rotation is locked on your iPad?
2. Again, mine works just fine.
3. Yes, you're correct. The switch is working exactly as it was designed to work. For the record, it does NOT mute all sound. It mutes only the alerts so that you can enjoy music, movies, etc. without the annoying sounds. For screen rotation, refer to:

This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.

Go to your hard drive, enter library, go into users, and go into launch agents and delete the thing above. Empty the trash and restart. -
Why is the sound of my new ipad cutting out intermittently and what does Apple recommend to solve the problem in lieu of any updates? All of a sudden without changing any settings, the audio on my NEW ipad cuts in and out on applications/ games, keypad noise and lock sounds. The rocker button only seems to work while the sound is intermittently being heard before, after a few seconds of noise not doing anything when sound goes off.
This is highly frustrating as I've noticed others posting about such issues as far back as April. Anybody had the same thing happen to them? Is this likely software (ios6) or hardware issue? If it does indeed show the warranty has expired, then what you need to do from here will depend on who you purchased the iPad from and when you really did purchase it. Perhaps you actually purchased it in August and are just misremembering? Check your receipt. There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. As time goes on and mobile operating systems evolve the no Apple devices will lose their ability to run Flash too. Web developers need to move on to cleaner, more efficient types of programming. -

i have a problem when i try to update or install apps in my ipad, and a message come up says "can not connect to Itunes Store", anyone know why? please advise. however i had update all my detail of payment method.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Power cycle the router.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved. -

Here's the problems I'm having with iPad 2 and iOS 5.1:
Okay ... so, because I had less than a 1 Gig left (as reported by iTunes) on my 64Gig iPad, and the majority of the space was being used by "Photos" ... I decided to not keep my PC photos directory in sync with my iPad (Windows 7). So, in iTunes, I unchecked the option to sync computer photos to the iPad. I got the standard popup warning message that my iPad would not contain those albums after the next sync. I clicked OK and proceeded to sync expecting to have lots of space freed up.
But weird things happened after syncing.
(1) I still have all my photos on my iPad .... nothing disappeared at all. (And performed multiple syncs to try to force the change ... still nothing has been removed from my iPad.)
(2) Somehow, I gained 20 Gigs of free space, as reported by both iTunes and my iPad as well.
Anyone know what's going on here?
I do have iMovie and another movie making app, Avid. Both of these contain projects that refer to photos in albums that were supposed to be removed after the sync ... but I can't imagine that would keep them there. Anyone have any ideas?
I also installed the iPad app, iPhoto. I noticed that it build a directory listing and continuously want to update that listing from time to time.
Would any of these things cause the iTunes photo sync changes to be ignored? And, how did I get free space to report back with an additional 19Gig or so, when there's no change at all.

After the following steps :
Authorize computer
Transfer App's from iPad to computer
Backup
Sync
I got both the computer and my iPad to have all my App's.
At this point, I can ask both iTunes and the iPad for any new updates and get the same negative reply.
I called Apple tech support and got little except for an argument that the updates were random. Of course I knew that, and it did nothing to explain why 8 straight days of no updates would follow 4 months in which no more than 2 consecutive days of no updates ever occurred.
But the call may have been worthwhile anyway as I finally got an update within about 6 hours. It shows up in both iTunes and on the iPad.

yesterday i started again a dayly connection to my telescope with skysafari with
WLAN over a router. Suddenly no connection was possible, both with ipad 3
and before fine working ipad mini ( 6.0.2) The router was the same .
In the system preferences WLAN connect to my ipads correctly .
But the program with exactly the same preferences as the day before can`t connect
to the client on my telescope .
Any ideas

Day before nothing was wrong .

1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
