Problems ith connecting to the internet.

I am unable to connect to my home wireless internet. It works with other wireless networks but not my home one. However it does work when connected with the wire to the internet.

Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.

  • Sign in problems- Please connect to the internet and retry

I originally installed the premier elements trial on my computer. shortly after a friend of mine purchased premier elements for me I have the codes and everything I verified the product several times and it has been working great as of recently i am getting the error message: Please connect to the internet and retry
Either your computer is offline or the clock on your computer is set incorrectly causing a connection error. an internet connection is required.
Internet is running fine on my computer and the clock was indeed set to the wrong time, i set the correct time it but it is still giving me issues not allowing me to login or use the program
additionally: why do i need to sign in to the internet every time i use the program if i already purchased it? shouldnt i be allowed to use the program even when there is no internet connection available? why is it asking me to sign in every time. what gives?
p.s. i had it installed on two previous computers. One of them i bought wasnt good and i wiped the drive before i returned it to the store.
the other computer is an old computer its still on there but im not using it because its too slow to run it.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running.
Using Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 64 bit, I ran into the same Internet/Clock message and used the following solution to resolve that specific issue.
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE12: Sign In Failure (Connect to Internet or Fix Computer Clock)
Please determine if it will work for you.
You need an Internet connection for product installation, for some first time/one time feature activation, and use of Online Services offered by the program. Other
than that you should be able to use the program without an Internet connection.
When you have been going to install Premiere Elements on any of your computers, are you getting a "same purchased serial number on more than 2 of your
computers" message? If not, then there should be no involvement needing contacting Adobe about the use of the same purchased activated serial number on more
    than 2 of your computers.
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.
    ATR
Add On...Just in case note...deactivation and uninstall are two different things...so Help Menu/Deactivate or Sign Out (depending on your version)
and, if necessary, then uninstall using the usual Control Panel route (if Windows).

  • I'm having some odd problems staying connected to the Internet on my Macboo

I just got the computer earlier this year, in June, I think, and it has worked wonderfully until today, when my family got a new router to replace our defective one. Whenever I close and open my Macbook Pro or my sister closes/opens her Macbook, we have to enter the WEP key again, despite the fact that the computer seems to think that it's already connected to the network. The three little bar things are all black, but I can't access anything on the internet until I enter the WEP key. If I have to do this for a while, it's going to get really irritating. Can anyone help? Is it our computers or the router?

Pretty clearly it is the "new Router" unless you changed something on both computers as a part of installing the new router - did you?
Whenever I close and open my Macbook Pro or my sister closes/opens her Macbook, we have to enter the WEP key again
I think you are saying that the person who closed their MB has to log in again - but maybe you saying that both of you have to log in even when the other one closes their computer - is it only the person who closed their computer?
Do you get a prompt to enter the key again? is the key the same as it was on the old router?

  • Having problems to connect to the internet

I have just bought a time capusle, I have connection to the net with the lan-cabel - but the wifi will
not find the net - howcome?

    More info required..
If a lan connection works then the basic setup of the TC is ok.
But do you already have a wireless router in the network?
Is the TC in bridge or acting as the full router?
Does the wireless pick up the same IP range address and particularly the router and dns address.. please compare the cabled computer with the wireless one.
If you cannot figure it out post actual numbers.. copy and paste the ip address info from wireless and from working cabled connection.

  • Airport problem - cannot connect to the internet

I'm having problems connecting to my home wireless (that before it didn't happen).
Anytime I turn on airport and choose my network, i enter my wpa2 password but my mac doesn't recognise it, and shows me the error "connection has exceeded Time Limit".
    I already tried to:
    - delete the my network from the list.
    - add it manually using the "+" button
    - run the network assistant, but it says that my password is wrong (but it's not!!!)
    - access my network ith my smartphone, and I can connect without any problems!
    - acess with ethernet - and it works - i can connect without problems!
Sometimes I get an exclamation mark in the airport icon, but I already checked my network preferences and I'm sure that the encryption wpa2 is selected.
I think that I entered in my network only once, but the connection was soooooo slow (even after renewing dhcp) that the connection lasted 1 minute.
    Can anyone help?
    I own a macbook pro - snowleopard 10.6.8

What type of router are you using?
I'd like you to check the mac address filtering to make sure that's turned off.

  • Mac shows wireless internet connection, but Safari says "computer isn't connected to the Internet"

    Situation:
Computer shows internet connection (full bars), but won't actually connect to the internet and load webpages
    Attempted Fixes:
    Reset Safari
    Quit Safari
    Restart the computer
Turn off the computer with router unplugged
    Turn off Airport
    Swear at the computer
    Swear at the internet
Unplug the router and turn the Airport off too
    Additional Info:
Second computer (mac) connects to the internet so it's not an internet problem.
Last few days the internet has been slowly dying on the computer (Mac OS X) in question. Meaning that the internet asks me for the router password constantly, which was a new development.
I have seen information about reseting Plists and a few other weird things, but I didn't want to do anything drastic based on someone elses issue. I figured it's best to bring my specific issue to the forum before destroying my Mac by randomly deleting Plists.
    Any thoughts appreciated.

Excellent troubleshooting solutions which usually works.
Which os version are you using?
First contact your ISP.  You need to confirm that the issue is not on their end.
Change your router channel.  Sometimes this is all you will have to do.
Power cycling the router.  Read the router's user manual or contact their tech support for instructions.
    System Preferences/Internet & Network/Network
    Unlock the padlock
    Locations:  Automatic
    Highlight Airport
    Click the Assist Me button
In the popup window click the Diagnostic button.
System Preferences/Network- Unlock padlock.  Highlight Airport.  Network Name-select your name.  Click on the Advanced button.  Airport/Preferred Networks-delete all that is not your network.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined." Click the OK button and lock the padlock.  Restart your computer.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1920 Mac OS: How to release and renew a DHCP lease
    No internet connection (wireless)
Check to see if an extra entry is present in the DNS Tab for your wireless connection (System Preferences/Network/Airport/Advanced/DNS).
Delete all extra entries that you find.
Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined."

  • My Macbook Pro suddenly won't stay connected to the internet.

My Macbook Pro recently has had problems staying connected to the Internet. Our other Macbook Pro is having the same problems. I have already spoken with with our ISP, AT&T. After trying several things, they said that it may have to do with Safari and that they couldn't suggest any settings changes to our browser because it might disqualify any warranties that we have on our Notebook if another company makes changes to it. I've spent hours and hours trying to resolve this and it's driving me nuts. Also my wireless HP Printer won't stay connected either. Not long ago AT&T sent us a new modem/router (all-in-one), that is why I called AT&T to see if it was the new modem. But come to think of it, I had called AT&T because of this connectivity issue and now I'm thinking that it wasn't them at all. Maybe it has to do with Apple. I'm a Apple lover, so please help!!!

Also my wireless HP Printer won't stay connected either.
Does that mean it won't stay connected to the network, or it's not reachable from your Mac? There's a difference.

  • Airport working why can't I connect to the internet?

I am having a problem staying connected to the internet even though the airport is has four bars showing. When there is a connection I have a hard time opening more than one window. One tab will be fine while the next will tell me to check my network. Network diagnostics usually pops and I have to wait for the computer to figure out that it is connected to the internet. The last time this happen all I needed was an upgrade but this is a macbook from late 2006 so it will not accept the OS X lion uprade not enough memory.

go to applications>utilities, and make sure your wireless is showing up in the left colum. If you see it there follow the promps to set it up

  • Parallels won't connect to the internet

Every few days I have the same problem with connecting to the internet while I'm using windows via parallels..
The internet works fine if I'm running it regularly but windows is not connected at all.
This usually doesn't last for very long but it is a recurring problem and is quite annoying.
Whenever I try to open Windows Explorer, for example, it says it cannot display the webpage and when i go through troubleshooting it
suggests there may be a problem with the DNS server.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks.

  • I need to upgrade my 10.5.1 os on my G4/1.25 (I'm having some audio-midi setup problems), but it's a machine that is not connected to the internet.  Do I have any options?  Thanks!

    Friends,
I'm having some audio-midi setup problems on my G4/1.25/10.5.1 machine.  I'm thinking that a routine OS upgrade might help.  However, this machine is not connected to the internet.  Are there any alternate methods for upgrading system software?  Thanks in advance!

OK, what you should do is download the updates on another machine and burn them to a disc.  Start at this link http://support.apple.com/downloads/#leopard for downloads and find, among other things, the 10.5.8 combo updater that works on PPC machines, plus security, QuickTime and other updates.  Going from 10.5.1 to 10.5.8, there will probably be a bunch of things that you should install.  Being off the internet with the machine, you can't have Software Update sort it out, so something might get missed, unfortunately.
My suggestion is this: if it looks like you might need a download, get it onto that disc.

  • Problems With MacBook Connecting to the Internet

This is quite an annoying little problem that I have. And apparently Tech Support can't help me and just said "good luck" and hung up on me. So here we go:
I purchased a new MacBook about two weeks ago and it won't connect to my wireless at home. I can plug it into our cable box via an ethernet cable, but otherwise it refuses to work. My old laptop will connect to the wireless... and even my sister's new MacBook (we got them at the exact same time and they are the exact same thing) will connect to our wireless. I'm using a Linksys wireless router, and I have had other friends access my family's wireless through their Apple computers as well. My Airport reads that I'm connected to the router, but it can't find an Internet signal. I'm not really sure what route I should be taking now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I seem to be having the same exact issue. I took my Macbook over to my dad's house and I can not connect to the internet. The computer is connected to the router wirelessly, everything seems fine but it will not connect to the internet. My sister has the same exact Macbook, and her computer connects to the internet just fine. I run the Apple Internet Diagnostics and after running it, I get a message that says that my internet seems to be working fine. I also have a problem with my computer restarting when I shut the lid. Very very frustrating!
