Problems linking email addresses to BT Broadband

I am a BT Broadband customer and I have 5 email addresses with the @btinternet.com ending.
I have received the email from BT telling me that I need to take action to avoid losing these email addresses. Unfortunately I have only received 4 x emails which include the REFERENCE NUMBER for linking the email address to my BT Broadband. I have NOT RECEIVED the email with the Reference for one of the subaccounts.
How do I generate the missing email that includes the Reference Number to one of my accounts? If I do nothing I lose the email address but I can't do anything because I haven't been sent the email. 
I have phoned countless BT helplines and nobody seems able to help me. Do I just have to sit back and wait to be told that I have missed the 16th September deadline and lose the email address which my daughter uses everyday?
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!

  • Problems with links/email addresses when viewing PDF in browser ONLY

    Hi,
    I have just sent a pdf document with an email address in.  There appears to be a strange issue: if that pdf file is downloaded and viewed in Adobe Reader the mailto links behind the text email addresses work as normal ([email protected]).  However, when that pdf is viewed directly in the browser (Chrome on Windows 7) using the built in pdf viewer all the double letters in the mailto are removed (eg. [email protected]), however the text itself is unchanged.
    There are two examples of this in two situations, both double letters. 
    I've just tried a test with '[email protected]' as the test address.  Again, the mailto link shows as "mailto: [email protected]".  Removing the first double letter, but keeping the second!
    Any suggestions?

    Sorry, you will have to complain to Google about this; Adobe has nothing to do with the Chrome PDF viewer.

    A couple of weeks ago I was moved to BT mail and I linked my BT ID to my main email address, as instructed. On the email management page, I linked six other email addresses, which I had previously had in BT Yahoo, using the ‘add to BT ID’ function. However, my main email address, which was the one I initially linked, also appears on the email management page, but with the ‘add to BT ID’ function still appearing. When I click on this, I keep getting the message: ‘Sorry, we haven't been able to claim that email address due to an error. Please try again later.’ This means that I am unable to have my main email address as my favourite, so when I log in, it always defaults to another one of my addresses. How do I fix this problem?

  • Problem with Email address

    Hi
    I have a skype account linked to an email address which I regularly receive emails from Skype from. When I try to login to the account it doesn't accept with these details so I do the 'forgot password' bit then I constantly get a there is a problem sending to this email address. Yet the address is active and I receive mails all over everyday!!! AND its the email address I signed up with it for!!!
    Please help because I have credit on this account.

  • Account problem after email address modified

    Hi everyone,
    I got a serious problem here. A couple weeks ago I've changed my email address (@hotmail, a old one I don't use anymore) information on my AppleID account.
    It first seemed to be fine. I saved the new email address and signed out. The problem appeared when I tried to log into my account again using the new email address as the ID. It never let me in. So I asked for a new password, did change it thorough the email authentication and I don't know how but I had to use a @mac ID at some point to get into my account.
    Then it showed that I have never purchased anything, I have no device registered like a brand new account which is surprising considering I'm having a Apple account for years now and had bought many apps and at least 5 different devices.
    I could have all started from scratch but the problem is that when I tried to register my Macbook Pro and my iPhone4 it didn't let me because they already are under another AppleID. Here is the mystery, how can I find out under which AppleID my devices are registered ?
    I would have gone the a genius desk if I could but I live in Belgium and the closest one is London or Paris… that's not really 'round the corner…

  • Problem transferring email addresses to IPhone 4

    IPhone 4 new user - can not get Yahoo & Google email addresses transferred to IPhone from Macbook

    When I purchased the IPhone the AT&T folks copied the phone numbers from the sim card to the contacts folder on the IPhone, I can access both Gmail and Yahoo mail fine, but when I attempt to send email I cannot access my email addresses that I have set up for both Gmail and Yahoo - I can type in the email addresses and send or reply to email and send - both work fine - the problem is in accessing the email contact lists with email addresses - my cell phone contacts were some of the same names but no email addresses.  I went to ITunes and went through the sync procedure but none of the IPhones settings panes described in the IPhone User Guide showed up -  ITunes gave several messages indicating step 1 was complete, then step 2  and after one or two more similar messages stated the syncing was complete.  Not sure what to do at this point.

  • Creating linked email addresses - and coloring them

    I produce a yearly roster book for my client, a large golf club, listing all members' information, more than 600 of them each listing comntains usually 2 addresses. The book is printed, but also supplied to members as a PDF file.
    Currently (and surprisingly) all the email addresses are already "hot" so one can send an email to a member simply by clicking on his address in the listing.
    But my client is asking if I can make all those email addresses appear in blue (and underlined), so members know those email addressees are linked... I guess I could do it one address at a time, but I'm looking for making a GLOBAL change... I checked it at the Adobe Acrobat forum, and was told that I should try doing it while still in the original page-layout program.
    ...Also, will this "do the trick" when opening the PDF file on one's iPad or any tablet, or a smartphone?....

    Are the links really there, or just being interpreted by Acrobat and reader as links becasue they look like URLs? To be real, and relaible in other applictions, thyey would all need to appear inthe Hyperlinks panel I think.
    That, of course, doesn't prevent you from aking them blue and underlined in ID. To decide the best method of achieving that we need more information, though. Are these independent paragraphs, or text on a line with other text? If with other text, is it always the same, or does it vary? Waht version of ID do you have?
    A screen shot of a listing would probalby be helpful, but you should probably use some dummy text to simulate it rather than disclose anyone's private information here. You can embed an image in your posts by using the camera icon on the tweb page like this:

  • Problem Transferring email address to new home

    I have had BT broadband for 10 years - everyone I know has my BTinternet.com email address. I have stuck with BT despite several trials when moving home, and generally am happy with the service I have had. So much so that I recently signed up my partner to have BTbroadband in her home. Now we have made the decision to move in together, but find that I am completely stuffed when it comes to keeping my email address - I have to pay £1-54 per month for the privilege!
    BT say that if I cancel my account for telephone i will lose my email address. BT say if my parner cancels her account she will lose the phone  umber (and won't let her cancel because she has only had the account for a month in any case! BT say I cannot transfer my email address to her account even though they are both BT, as they do not permit email addresses to be transferred between accounts!
    Why on earth do they persist with this archaic process. How many people move in with each other every year, and how many of them would have BT accounts. Surely it is easy to transfer email addresses between accounts, as it happens all the time when people move house. If I agree and my girlfirend agrees, surley that is all that is needed to move an email address.
     Is this BT just being blooming awkward or is it a money making scheme to get people to pay for premium mail. Why can't I keep my email address without having to pay £18-50 per year!!

  • Linking Email Addresses For Purchases

    I have an old .mac email address which I have used for many years for making purchases.  I have a family .me account and have just started using a .me email address for myself which is more user friendly.  Is there any way of linking the two email addresses, which are both mobileme, so that when I log into ITunes with either email address the purchases can be accessed?

  • Problem with email address recognition

    I've spent most of the day searching this forum for an answer but I'm not finding it, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help.
    I've imported a comma-separated file (of 1000+ email addresses) from Filemaker Pro 9 into my Address Book. I'm now trying to send an email to all of them.
    I create an email in Apple Mail, click on Address Book, select the group, all the e-mail addresses appear in the BCC field, but when I try to send I immediately get a message that says: [email protected] does not appear to be a valid email address. I check the address, nothing's wrong. I delete it from the list and I get the same message for the next address. If I tell it to send anyway, the entire list kicks back as invalid.
    I don't know what to do now. What I see as the address is correct but for some reason the program is not recognizing it. Any thoughts on what I can do to get this email sent? Thanks!

    Two suggestions.
    1. What you see is not always what you get! If any of the imported addresses is correct, there may be unprintable characters in the FM file for those address causing this warning. Double check what FM is sending and/or how they are entered in the database.
    2. Mail maintains a list of addresses you have used. Even if you correct any problems in the FM file (assuming there are any), Mail may be trying to use the incorrect address in its own list.
    First, make sure the "Message Viewer" is the front-most window. Now check the Mail address list by using "Window->Previous Recipients" in the menu bar. If you find duplicates, you may need to delete both and start over with that recipient, assuming you can determine the correct address. I found it possible to manually type in an address, exactly the way it appeared but have it work because the one in the list was not showing exactly how or what was incorrect. Hope that works for you and you don't have too many addresses to correct!

I believe the explanation for this is that my me.com account is still linked to an email address that is no longer active.     I have had my Iphone 4S for a few months but never used Icloud.  I'm trying to set it up but can't figure out how to change the Apple ID - my apple ID is my yahoo email address.  Don't I need to use the icloud address to back up?  If so, how do I change it.  When I click on Icloud it says "account" and there is my [email protected] address.  I set up a new Icloud mail account but it's still not showing as the default.
    I admit I'm a new Apple user and the whole Icloud thing confuses me.  I would like to keep my phone backed up somewhere and it seems like the Icloud would do it.  Can anyone explain in baby steps exactly what I need to do?

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities, and great question!
    The @icloud.com email address is only required if you want to use iCloud Mail & Notes. You can still use your Apple ID (in your case, the @yahoo.com address) for iCloud Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Find my iPhone, Backup, etc. In short, you can use all of these functions without creating the @icloud.com address.
    From the information you provided, and if backups are your only concern, then it sounds like you are good to go! There is no need to configure your iCloud settings to reflect the @icloud.com address, as this is just another email account that others can reach you at.

    I have an email with a private domain, so am selecting "other" for type of email. Once typing in the email address and password, I get the error "Mail couldn't sign in. Please try again". I am using the correct details. Could someone advise please?

    Abi99 - no I don't, it is with a proper hosting company. My email address is basically myname@mysurname - but I am only asked for address and password, never having gone beyond this stage. I have been able to do this on 3 other brands in the past, but having lost/broken them, got the Nokia 311 as an interim measure.
