Problems linking Instagram to Facebook in iphone

Instagram tells me to go to settings - privacy facebook and allow it to post to Facebook on my behalf. and when I go into settings -privacy-facebook its has not choice for Instagram. What to do?

Personally I dont like facebook junk cluttered on my email. However dont mind facebook notifications for facebook chat...
I dont know if your notification center also clutters you with other rubbish... Like facebook notifications that are not private chat... Mine doesnt... I think i had set the facebook settings a while ago not to spam all the rubbish facebook sends.

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

Problems With FaceBook For IPhone App

am having problems with the FaceBook for IPhone app. I can only comment in the notifications or newsfeed tabs, and the comment buttons don't work when I attempt to comment directly on a friend's status. The app also has repeatedly crashed. The latest mess is that I'm not even able to view my profile, messages, etc. Uninstalling and reinstalling seems to be only a temporary fix. I have complained to the developers to no avail with each update. I'm running IOS 4.3.3 and My IPhone model is AT&T service 32GB black. I'm using Voice Over.

Have you tried deleting and re-installing the app?
facebook provides support for the facebook apps it makes. Have you contacted them?

I have this excact problem too, Deleting the the app and then reinstalling it won't delete your photos as they are stored on facebooks servers. You will just have to remember you username and password to sign in again. Ever since Facbook bought instagram i have had this problem on my 4S too.

Linking contacts to facebook

Hi All;
Not sure if this is the right place but best I could find.
I have my contacts on My IMac, IPhone and IPad all linked to by Facebook contacts.
Problem is, some show up with all facebook information, some show up with a blank photo and no information (emails, birthdays etc.)
Any thoughts on how to get the rest of them linked so all the information shows up?

So, I've been struggling with this issue as well. And I just realized that in the Faces section of iPhoto, you can set the e-mail address for each person in the Faces library. I just updated the people's e-mails that weren't linking up to Facebook properly, and that seemed to fix it.
Now, I took the extra step of removing and re-adding my Facebook account in iPhoto, but that may have been unnecessary - I was seeing if it would add the Facebook icon by those names when I tagged people's faces once the addresses matched, and it did not. But I guess it only puts that icon there for people that are imported from your Facebook account? (In other words, people that were not already in your address book.) So I think I didn't need to do anything with the account itself.
After fixing the e-mails in Faces, I just exported an album to Facebook, and the tags linked up fine, at last.

I had the same problem for days. I reset the phone bu holding down the home button and the on off switch together. Don't swipe to turn off. Just hold down the two buttons until phone switched off then wait a few seconds and switch it back on. I can't also use Facebook on safari which I was also having problems with. Hope it helps

Icloud manage storage link not working on my iphone 4s

I need to manage my icloud storage, but the manage storage link on my iphone is not working. When I click on it, nothing happens. Can anyone help with this problem? I don't want to buy more storage if I can turn off some of my apps in icloud. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Had the same problem recently (on an iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1). The phone couldn't back up to iCloud as the storage limit had been exceeded, and tapping "Manage Storage" in the iCloud settings didn't work: it just briefly showed a spinning wheel but I couldn't enter the Manage Storage screen. Looks like a bug.
In the end I was able to solve it via the iCloud settings on a laptop. Using this route, I removed the backup that was clogging the available 5GB free storage and was able to access Manage Storage again to tweak the settings. In my case this meant disabling iCloud backups of photos in the camera roll, which was the reason for the large size of the backup file in the first place.
Here's what I did:
1. Important step: first of all, make a backup of your phone in iTunes by connecting it to the computer and chosing the backup option in iTunes. You will delete the iCloud backup in step 3, so it's best to have another backup handy. It's not very likely your phone will crash in the short time it takes to complete these steps, but better safe than sorry.
2. After making the full phone backup, I downloaded all the photos from the camera roll onto my computer and deleted them from the phone. There are different ways of doing this, on a Mac you can for instance use Image Capture. This step is not really necessary to get the backups working again as you will probably disable camera roll backups in step 3 anyway, but it's good to get into the habit of backing up photos on the computer regularly, rather than in iCloud. If you want to keep some photos on the phone as well, you can always copy them back from the computer onto the phone.
3. Access iCloud storage management via the computer rather than the iPhone. Instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847 > Backup > Deleting backups and turning off Backup for your device > Mac OS X (or Windows 8, Windows 7 and Vista). If you use a Windows computer and the iCloud control panel hasn't been installed yet, you can find it here http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.
I don't think you can delete specific elements like the camera roll from the backup this way, you have to delete the whole thing. But you made another backup in step 1 so this isn't really a problem.
4. On the iPhone, try to access Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage again - it should work now. In the next screen, choose your iPhone and you will get the Backup Options where you can switch backups on and off for different apps. It shows you how much storage each app takes, you will probably see that the Camera Roll is the largest so you may want to switch that off. Once you're happy with the settings, go back two screens to Storage & Backup and switch Icloud Backup back on (it was automatically switched off in step 3), and if you are on Wi-Fi, tap Back Up Now so it makes a new iCloud backup right away.
That's all, hope it solves your problem.

i recently buy an iphone 4 but lately i been having problem with all app on the iphone i can't enter app store, facebook, tweeter etc and when i try to log off my account it actually don't let me log off i even do a recent to the iphone 4 and yet not letting me do a thing!

Since some time, more or less 1 month, when i post my photos on Instagram or Facebook, they lose quality and this did not happen before. Am i doing something wrong?

My observations:
Photos taken on my iPhone will sync to my Mac in the original resolution of 3264 × 2448 (8,0 MP).
Photos taken on my iPad 3 will also sync to my Mac in the original resolution of 2592 × 1936 (5,0 MP)

If you're using IOS 4.2.1, you can not download facebook. I have had the same problems and now just use safari to go on facebook. Hope this helps

Problems linking libraries to device

Hi, I am having a problem linking to a library, but only when I am building for the device. When I build for the device it has problems saying a number of functions that I use, their symbols could not be found. Building for the simulator it works just fine. For fun I removed the library from Xcode and tried to build with the simulator. The simulator then gave me the same error messages. Why can it find the symbols from the library for the Simulator, but not for the Device? I have tried explicitly adding the -dylibMYLIB.dylib to the other linking flags, but this did not work.

I have found out that the reason is in my library. The simulator runs on i386 while the actual device will run on armv6. Also the iPhone library needs to be static. Unfortunately my library fails to compile using these tips, does anybody know of a way to take an existing i386 library and recompile it for armv6? That way I could take the existing library I got from MacPorts and make it work for the iPhone.

FRUSTRATED - Report a Problem links not working on OSX or iOS

Apple, youre killing me man. Looong time Apple user here.
Used to be I could click on a support link anywhere and it would simply, and intuitively take me where I wanted to go. Today, thats not the case. Not sure whats going on.
I bought a Fax app and tried to send a few faxes. Turned out, the quality of the sent fax was terrible, and unreadible by the recipient (even after three attempts, and three different types (jpg, pdf, etc). I simply want a refund since the product didnt live up to its advertised capability.
I went to my email receipt, found the three .99 fax purchases and clicked on "Report a Problem"...hoping for an easy solution. Nope...instead it too me to the iTunes download page. Great. Thanks Apple, I already have iTunes.
So then I thought I would just go to my iPad or iPhone and click on the same link. Once I clicked on it "Cannot Connec to iTunes Store".
My attempts to find a solution on these forums has been fruitless. I feel like im back in the days of trying to find anything on Microsofts site...just a never ending loop of redirects.
Also, even when using the contact iTunes support links and typing in "refund app purchase", I get a return of "This is the most effective solution for your product and topic. Select how you want to proceed."

Then, when I click on the Email icon for "More Options", even THAT link doesnt work.
So here I sit. If anyone has cracked this code please pass it on.

You could try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
If that also doesn't work then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
