it's normal for Vodafone live not to work sim free/non branded handsets unless purchased from Vodafone directly.
To be honest. Your not missing much on there.
i think it would be an idea to ask the team at vodafone (ignore the call centre there e-forum staff are a billion times more than helpful.) http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/
Hope that helps

    Firefox no longer loads home page or deletes cookies. I have repeatedly checked both settings and they are correct. It always goes to the last page I was on when I closed the browser .

    Go to '''TOOLS''' then''' OPTIONS''' then in '''GENERAL''' panel in '''STARTUP '''session choose '''Show my home page''', then click '''OK''' to save it, exit firefox and restart-it.

    I encountered the same type of problem. Firefox running terribly slowly and slowing down my entire machine (Core i5 with 256GB SSD). Searching the forums, I found a couple of things about troubleshooting performance issues, one of which was to use '''hardware acceleration''', that is on by default. It was turned on on my PC, '''so I tried deactivating it, and it worked!'''
    So doing the exact opposite as Mozilla support said solved the problem. It is really a pain now to work with Firefox. I'm using it because I have no choice, but I'd recommend IE and Chrome over Firefox... Whatever, the market will decide once Firefox has become to crappy...

    I'm using the same swear words as you. There are several threads about this problem - no answers.
    I have a LaserJet 8100N and 8150DN, get the 79.01FE error on the 8150 from print outs from Safari, Firefox, and Preview, for only some sites/documents. CNN.com has become my test site, seems I can crash the printer 90% of the time with their home page at any given time in the day.
    A summary of what I have tried:
    - Upgraded the firmware to the latest for both the JetDirect card and the printer.
    - Swapped the JetDirect cards between the 8100 and 8150.
    - Swapped ram on the 8150 board.
    - Disconnected external trays, bins, and removed extra RAM and hard drives from the 8150.
    - Tried setting the JetDirect link and matching switch port link to 100FD, 10HD, 10FD, 100HD, as suggested by a poster.
    - Tried having client's print to the printer through a XServer Print Server.
    - Can consistently create the error from multiple systems running 10.3.9, 10.4.5, and 10.4.6 (didn't have an install base of 10.4 before 10.4.5).
    Someone in the 'know' (which means they're likely not), said 10.4.7 will likely fix this. Being Apple has not even addressed that the problem exists (that I could find), I doubt the magic fix is a release away.
    Apple's software is triggering something that Windows systems appears not to be, so one could say it's an Apple problem; but ulimately it's HP's software/hardware that is at fault in that it is allowing their system to crash from input alone.

  • Unauthorized message while loading home page

    Hi, I am a beginner in Oracle.
    I had installed Oracle 10g express edition a month ago. I've been working with database and tables successfully and developing some applications using appex 2.1.
    One of the last operations i did was to run successfully this pl/sql instructions in sql command in graphical user interface:
    declare
    pw_v varchar2(100);
    begin
    pw_v := dbms_obfuscation_toolkit.md5( input_string => 'admin' );
    INSERT INTO M_USERS(LAST_NAME,USERNAME,PASSWORD,ADMINISTRATOR,IN_USE)
    values('admin','admin', pw_v ,'Y','Y');
    end;
    After that i've tried to view the table M_USERS when suddenly it prompts username and password in "Connect to 127.0.0.1" window (This window never prompted before). I tried my operating system and database passwords but it still gives "Unauthorized" message.
    I shut down Database server, restarted my Operating system and when i load the home page it still prompts username and password in "Connect to 127.0.0.1" window.
    I've read something like that in Re: Unauthorised message while loading home page and solution was to change the port number.
    I've changed port number typing this command in sql plus line: "exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport(8090)" but the problem still remains.
    I think to reinstall Oracle 10g express as last chance but i dont think it would be a professional solution.
    Please help me with this it's urgent.
    Thanks.....!!
    Roger

    Hi Ginny, i am new in Oracle Express....I have the same problem you had. I've changed port number and the problem still remains... i need the solution urgently...please help....

  • A lot of tabs loads and tells me there was a problem loading the page. How can I stop all the tabs loading because ist slows down Firefox.

    When I open Firefox, a lot of tabs try to open at the same time. They all say Problem loading the page. It happened after I tried to download a owners manual for Harley Davidson motor cycles. How can I stop all but one tab from opening.

    This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
    Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
    If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

  • Error "problem loading more pages"

    Using XP SP3, IE 8 and Acrobat Reader X, I have been trying to look at a document identified by a website as .pdf.
    I see what appears to be the first page of that document - ie it makes perfect sense in the context of the website - but at the foot of the first page a message appears reading:
    "Whoops! There is a problem loading more pages. Retrying..."
    and nothing more happens.
    On another PC, using XP SP3, IE 7, and Acrobat Reader XI, I cannot even get that first page up - after clicking on the link to the document, nothing happens,
    Can anyone guess whether this is a problem with Acrobat Reader or IE? and if so, what might be done to fix it?

    Your link is on Google Docs, which uses its own PDF viewer.  I can see all pages with no problems.
    If you use the download button on top of the page, you can download a perfect PDF to your local disk.
    If that Wordpress page is yours, I would suggest that you upload the PDF to somewhere where it can be viewed with the browser's PDF plugin, not with the Google Docs PDF viewer.

  • I can't navigate anywhere! it says there's a problem loading my page or the url is wrong

    for example...i try type in yahoo.com... and get the page briefly..then this message "Sorry. We can't find "http://www.yahoo.com/"
    There was a problem loading your page. Try retyping the URL in the browser address bar above or, visiting a related link below." this happens with each site i visit..or try to visit. it pops up briefly then that error message. what can i do? I can't do anything!!

    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
    These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
    Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

  • Extremely Slow Loading Home Pages At Start-Up

    I'm running Vista and recently upgraded from Firefox 3.6.12 to Firefox 7.0.1. Since then my home pages take WAY too long to load at start-up, even after disabling AVG add-ons. Tried uninstallilng, rebooting, reinstalling, rebooting -- same problem. Didn't have the problem using IE8, so concluded the problem was with Firefox 7.0.1. Uninstalled 7.0.1 and went back to 3.6.12 -- problem resolved. I'd like to run the latest version. Any idea what the problem was?

    The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
    Try to decrease the value of the pref <b>network.http.max-connections</b> from 256 to 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

  • Error message when loading home page

    A month ago this problem developed. I have had My Yahoo.com as my Home page for years. Now when I open the Firefox Browser I get an error message that says: Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username. I click OK, then a Second error message appears that says: We noticed you may have signed in or out in another window. Click OK to to reload your page. Now during this time I can see My Yahoo page in the background signed in. But when I click OK in this Second error message it takes me back to the Yahoo sign in page. So what I am saying, is it is now a 5 step process, where Firefox used to remember My Yahoo in a signed in state and open to it directly. I went into My Account and Firefox will not remember My Yahoo password.
