Problems loading older presentations in new iOS Keynote
I recently updated the Keynote on my iPad to the latest iOS7 verision. Now presentations that were imported and worked fine with the previous version, now cannot be loaded. When I go to iCloud and look at them there in Keynote, they are fine.
Anyone else experience this? Can I revert back the version of my Keynote or is restoring from a backup my only chance?

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -
Texting problem. Glitch with the new iOS 6.1 update
I just previously updated my iPhone 4S to the new iOS 6.1 and now when I open my texting app it is just blank. I can receive text messages but there is not way for me to send any. I have a verison network so I don't know. I have called the support line and went through so many steps to try and solve this problem but no one has a clue what's wrong. I'm pretty sure is a bug or glitch in the new update.
Start with something easy and see if it helps.
Quit the Photos app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
AIR 3.7 Problem Loading Multiple Similar SWFs On iOS
I'm running into an issue with loading multiple SWFs using AIR 3.7 on iOS. The exact same code works fine on Android.
The issue is that if I include 2 specific SWFs then neither of them will load correctly. When I include just one of the SWFs it works great. I've also tried including a second SWF which is pretty much empty and that also works. Additionally, I've been able to load a MovieClip out of the first SWF IF addChild() was first used on myswf1 and that works even when the main SWF did not. Lastly if I include 2 of the exact same SWFs (with different filenames) that also works.
So my question is what is it about the two SWFs that causes it not to work? They are effectively the same except each has custom assets and custom class naming.
Both of them subclass off one main class like this:
class myswf1 extends mymain
class mymain extends MovieClip
class myswf2 extends mymain
class mymain extends MovieClip
So both SWFs contain mymain seperately from each other. Could that be the issue? Like when it compiles all the code into the package SWF the
two mymain root classes clash?
In the past it seems like that should still work it just uses the first loaded class and that is it.
The errors that I get seem to happen on lines like this:
selectableHudOptions.bonustime.mouseEnabled = false;
Where selectableHudOptions.bonustime is basically null. However, when I just have 1 SWF this line works fine. If I loop through selectableHudOptions's children it is blank when I am loading the two SWFs but it shows all of the children when just loading the one SWF.
Another theory I have about it is that it seems like addChild() has to be used on the objects and frames have to go by before the children are visible. Like addChild() is being delayed somehow because of the multiple SWFs. Or addChild() is behaving asyncronously and my code is running syncronously.
I think Nimisha from Adobe has worked on these multiple SWF issues before.Yes, duplicate symbol conflict looks like the cause of your issue.
This is a known issue in AOT mode. For now, could you please try renaming mymain to something else when using it in the second swf?
Or you may place mymain into separate swc, and link one of your swfs with "merged into code" option, while the other one "externally", so that only one of the swfs has mymain defined and there is no clash.

A buddy of mine got the same exact problem, and we got it right after we downloaded ios 5.0.1
when im sending sms it goes to 80% then just stands there until it fails : / dunno what the problem might be. -

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

Problems loading standard forms in new 11i installation

Just installed the 11.5.10 Vision demo on SLES Linux on VMware. The installation went fine, and everything worked
I could access not only the portal, but the forms pages (after installing the supplied jInitiator package)
My problem is, after re-booting the server, everything works just fine (although I have to start up manually) EXCEPT I cannot now start any forms
When I click on a menu choice for any responsibility (say, System Administrator -> Concurrent Requests), jInitiator doesn't start up
I know the client (Windows XP) browser (IE 6) works fine with 11i, as I have accessed other 11i installations on the network without problem
Any pointers to where I should be looking ? It's obviously a server issue

SimonThanks for your help Yury, after checking through the processes and checking and re-checking the error logs, it turned out there was a problem with some of the environment variables
Once correcting that problem, everything starts up fine now. Strange that it only affected the forms server, but hey, it's all fine now -

My computer recently crashed and I had to buy a new hard drive and operating system. None of the programs from the old hard drive were saved. The computer is an HP Pavilion dv7-3165dx Entertainment Notebook and I have Windows 7 Professional (64x) as the operating system. Tried to download Mediasmart from the HP Web page to play DVD and Blu-Ray Discs. The programs downloaded but will not install. Any suggestions?

If you are having problems with iMessage with the new IOS - try these:
- make sure your number is in your contact list and saved as an 'iPhone' not 'mobile'
- make sure all your iPhone contacts are saved as 'iPhone' and not 'mobile'
- turn iMessage off, switch phone off and then turn phone and iMessgae on again.

If you don't succeed with one rep, call back again. I'm sure you don't want to sit on the phone and explain the situation again, but it seems like giving you an extra GB to hold you over until you account cycles isn't asking Verizon for a lot. I've had them do such courtesies for me when I've gone over and it was completely my own fault. Seems like you may have just gotten an unfriendly representative. I'd try calling back again and explain the situation. Something tells me that if you happen to get a decent rep, a one time bump of an extra GB should be something they could easily do. When I'm upload updates for apps I keep getting a message about another country I was in 2 years ago use that countries I have changes my address to the new country I'm in and since the new iOS was downloaded there was no problem . True. I've noticed magazines now appear in the App Store along with all the other Apps. I think it would have been better if Apple made Newsstand more like Zinio i.e. an App where you can search for, read & download magazines. Seems a bit if a cop-out to just lump it in with all the other Apps, especially when trying to search for titles. For example I was looking for a photography magazine. If you do a search for 'photography' you get a load of photography Apps come up. Scroll through half a dozen pages & you might stumble across a photography magazine ..... but not the one you are after. In Zino you can browse magazines by category > photography and find what you are looking for in no time. If I could delete Newsstand (as well as about 6 of the other useless iOS Apps that can't be removed ) I would. -

This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
