Problems loading search engines

I can't access the google.com homepage or www.bing.com. When I enter the address firefox constantly tries to load the site and never does, happens with others broswers as well.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br /><br />

Our MAC Books have issues loading search engines like Google, when on the Corp. network, all other browsers work fine.

Our MAC users have trouble loading search engines on our Corp. network when going through our FWs. The browser works fine when they are on our guest network or out side the office.

Firefox wont load search engines

i have run spyware terminator and have cleared cache files and have disabled add-ons and this has made no difference. I'm starting to get a little annoyed can anyone help

Can you please be a bit more specific? What search engines? And how does Firefox not load them?
(these aren't rhetoric, of course)

Problem with search engines and BC

This is what google does when look for my website. is hosted with BC and this domain is listed on the sites that BC gave me. do I need to elliminate this from the list. if yes, how is that done? I cannot have a site declared insecured by google!

In this case, the address listed in the certificate does not match the address of the website your browser tried to go to.
This is what google is telling me. I cut and pasted part of the response below:
One possible reason for this is that your communications are being intercepted by an attacker who is presenting a certificate for a different website, which would cause a mismatch. Another possible reason is that the server is set up to return the same certificate for multiple websites, including the one you are attempting to visit, even though that certificate is not valid for all of those websites. Google Chrome can say for sure that you reached *.worldsecuresystems.com, but cannot verify that that is the same site aswww.alechadesigns.com which you intended to reach. If you proceed, Chrome will not check for any further name mismatches.

Portal Page Dynamic URLS & Search Engines

Hi,
I have created a portal site. These portal pages urls are created dynamically.
How can I optimize this dynamic (and long) URL for a search engine?
I am having trouble getting them spidered and ranked in major search engines.

Despite many posts on this issue, I am skeptical that there
is a problem
with search engines indexing pages with query strings. I have
a number
of pages with URLs like showdetail.cfm?articleID=25 and they
are always
indexed by Google and other search engines.
It is my understanding it largely depends on how you link to
the detail
pages. If you have direct anchors to the detail pages Google
will index
them. If you use a form or something else, Google is much
less likely
to follow.

This makes some sense, because how can a robot complete a

Everytime I go to a search engine like Bing or Google and click on the link to a website, it sends me to the wrong page. I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer, so what can I do as far as fixing the problem on Firefox?

Anytime I enter what I'm looking for in the search engine and click on a link, it goes through multiple web addresses until it takes me to an indirect page, and the first few webpages on the link that appear during the loading process are the same. I actually don't know what those websites are though.

TS1398 my sons ipad 1 is not loading videos when he goes on to youtube through his search engine (hes not on safari as he is on a parental restriction search engine) but has been able to for the last 12 months until the other day.

My son has an ipad 1 and goes on to you tube through his search engine (which is not safari as i have put a parental restriction search engine on there for him) and up until a few days ago was working fine. now when ever he goes into youtube the video selections come up but when he presses a video to watch it doesn't load (comes up with the loading icon). However i wanted to see if this was a youtube problem so I unrestricted his youtube app and tried to get into youtube that way and it worked and the videos loaded. Does anybody know why it wouldn't work through his search engine now after working through it for so long?
Any help would be great as i dont mind him going on youtube as long as innappropriate content is filtered (which is what his search engine did).

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I cannot search in firefox. I try to search with google and yahoo. The page never loads and I get "Problem Loading Page", "The Connection Has Timed Out". Can anyone please HELP??????!!!!!!!!!

I cannot search for ANYTHING, I cannot click on items listed in the yahoo search page (the top ten trending search items) the page just won't load!

Since I looked everywhere for this answer and never found it I decided I needed to help!
1. GO TO THE TOOL BAR WHERE IT SAYS SAFARI AND CLICK TO BRING DOWN THE MENU OF OPTIONS, CLICK ON PREFERENCES
2.INSTEAD OF JUST CLICKING ON THE GENERAL TAB AND CHANGING THE SEARCH ENGINE LIKE EVERY OTHER STUPID SUPPORT TELLS YOU TO DO LOOK AT THE TAB THAT SAYS EXTENSIONS.
3. Chances are you downloaded something that was made by a third party to "enhance" your web experience but really they just screwed you over, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO SIMPLY UNINSTALL ANY EXTENSIONS PUT ON YOUR COMPUTER BY CLICKING INSTALL, BUT TO BE SURE THAT THIS IS THE ROOT OF YOUR PROBLEM IN THE SECOND COLUMN SIMPLY CLICK ON THE UNDERLINED NAME OF WHO THE EXTENSION IS MADE BY IF CLICKING THE LINK BRINGS UP A YAHOO PAGE THIS IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR ISSUES AND SIMPLY UNINSTALLING THIS WILL RID YOU OF THIS DUMB PROBLEM!!

Have you tried clearing your local DNS cache? Open "Terminal" from the "Utilities" folder in "Applications" and enter the following command...
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
Input your administrator password when prompted to do so and hit enter. Note, you won't receive any visual feedback while typing in your password. Also, be very careful while issuing any commands with 'sudo'. Quit Terminal after you're done and restart your browser.

Why won't google or any other search engines load?

A coworker of mine has downloaded Fastbrowser search, and I have gotten rid of it (I think), but now, no search engine other than Fastbrowser search will load! I can't even access my gmail account now because it has completely blocked Google. I've deleted the addon thingy, removed the file from my control panel, and just about everything, but to no avail. I just want my Google back!!!
I am using version 3.0.15 (Can't or won't update for some reason) on Windows XP

Never mind. It seems like the problem is fixed after logging into the administrator account, logging into and out of Google Drive, and logging back into my own account. I have no idea how that fixed the issue, but it it did.

Can not get search engine pages to load with Firefox

I just bought new computer (windows 7, 64 bit) and loaded Firefox yesterday. All works fine except that it will not load any search engine pages. All I get is a blank, white page. (no error codes, ect.) Have tried to access all the different engines in the tool bar, with the same result. If I use Explorer, all load fine. Any ideas?

The problem I am having is that this website will not load on my MacBook Pro. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the website was created on this computer using iWeb and then I had to change to a different webhost on July 1st (Dreamhost) when Apple discontinued Mobile Me / Webhosting as of July 1st. That is when I was no longer able to load the site on this one computer.
I get this message with Safari:

and this message from Firefox:

Safari 5.1.8 slow loading pages missing functions and search engines

As of this morning (3/30/13) I feel like my internet provider removed the guts of my internet connection. I have a Comcast modem and use an ethernet to connect it to my computer. I also have an ATT smartphone which gives me a mobile hotspot ability and everything with my internet is fine using the wi-fi connection. The problem using the secure line/modem from Comcast is that it does not allow me to use any of the 3 search engines and unexpectedly quit Yahoo the only time the connection was established. Facebook doesn't load. If you give things enough time my gmail will look like it's up but emails don't open. the msnbc portal will show the visual headlines but not the videos for its Nightly News. Hulu works fine. I watched 3 episodes of a Network show. Comcast is sending technicians out to check the cable interface. Or is it something with Safari, or another recent Sofware Update item? Thanks for any help.

I don't see anyway to do this.
Lately, Safari is not only loading slowly upon initial opening, but it's also slow to load new pages, and it's regularly loosing contact with webpages in previous tabs I opened. I'll go back to a tab, after moving to a new one, only to find it blank, and then I have to reload it, which takes f o r e v e r !
Then I find my entire system get stuck and I can't do anything. Sometimes I can force quit an application and other times not. Many times lately, I find my computer is just frozen and all I can do is reboot it manually to get it working again.

FF4 freezes when loading default homepage, Google and when using search engines

Whenever I open FF4, it will freeze/hang when loading the default homepage, Google.
Same with the problem on other search engines, Yahoo!, MSN, Bing, etc.

Do you have the McAfee Site Advisor installed? If so, remove it from your PC and try using any search engine with FF. Removing the Site Advisor worked for me, seems like FF 4 b10 isn't compatible with the Site Advisor.

I have a Mac notebook and it says it's connected to wifi, but when I try to connect to any search engine it does not. What is causing it to not actually connect. My pc connects no problem.

It seems that all apple products used in my house at times will not connect to our wifi. It's hit and miss. It says I am connected, but when you try to connect to any search engine it does not. I have disconnected and reconnected the power to the dsl provider and to our wifi units. I have rebooted the computers. I have reentered the password. Still no connection. We do not have connectivity issues with our PC products. Anyone have any answers for me?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
