Problems logging into a work intranet...please help
i am trying to log into a work website (intranet) and i get this message: "Your browser version needs to be Internet Explorer version 5.x or 6.x. Internet Explorer 7 Beta or other browsers like Firefox are not currently supported. Contact your regional office for more information"
any suggestions for me?? thanks
Microsoft discontinued Explorer in 2002, though you might be able to find the latest version here:

The versions they're referring to on your office intranet are Windows. From your information, it's difficult to determine what your model is, but obviously a dual Apple/Windows system with an Intel Mac should work. I can't speak for your office, but you might visit your firm's IT department; it's possile they don't take Apple seriously.

Brand new Mac user help please! How do you connect a 17" monitor to the MacBook? I have the monitor plugged into the Mac, but the F8 that I am used to with PC does not work. Please help. I am getting lots of spelling errors as the MacBook laptop screen is too small. Thank you so much! .

Normally, you just connect the monitor to the MacBook using a VGA adaptor that you can buy from an Apple Store. Now try System Preferences > Displays > Detect Displays. You should now be able to select a display mode for the monitor. If it still doesn't work, then I'd check that everything is properly connected. I've had problems with colours disappearing due to a faulty connection in the VGA adaptor.

I got my Iphone 3gs unlocked, but Navigation and Compass are not working. Please help if anybody had faced this problem and got it resolved.
Only the carrier that the iPhone was locked to can unlock. There you go, hacking void any support from this forum.

Itunes wont open. itunes has stopped working message Please help!!
I had itune 10.1 working just normal, and suddenly it wont open.
even before that, 1st problem i had was with Quick time, i couldnt uninstall it, kept saying newer version of Quick time installed..or something like that. and i figured out to install itunes without unstalling quick time. (thanks to Google) and was working fine for a month, and suddenly, now iTune wont open. I tried unstalling it, and reinstalled... that's pretty much i can do now!! still no hope!! Usual problem - Yosemite killed my macbook. Please help

Can't log in to office Spiceworks - please help
Scenario: While I was on holiday our spiceworks installation was upgraded to the latest version, now I can't login.
The passwords I have tried didn't work, so when I tried to reset my password I was informed that my account did not exist. I then created a new account online but I still cannot log in to our help desk.
I assume one of the other admins could remove the account and add me again, but I don't want to loose all my history. It there a better solution to this so that I can retain my past history?
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks CommunityI kinda have the same problem. My old email was jammed and i can't access it so i can't verify my email for the CC, i created a new account with new email i made my plans and everything seemed that are working fine. But CC keeps showing me the old email and wants me to verify it no matter what. I can't not access sing-in/sing-out options or anything, i reinstalled CC many times and it doesn't work. PLEASE help i can't do anything , i can't install any software i need to work on immediately!!! Any solutions??????

Images in slideshow became BROKEN CHAINS. Suddenly won't work. Please Help!
I need to give this iDVD to my friend who's leaving the country TODAY. Your help is much appreciated:
I made the DVD and it was all running smoothly and seemed to burn OK, but when it was done burning most of the pictures (but not all) in the slideshows turned into a broken chain with black and yellow stripes on the top and bottom. Why did this happen?? I don't know why they became this, there was no problem before. Some of the pictures are OK, seems random.
If you could tell me how to get my pictures back to replace these broken chains so I can reburn the DVD where all the pictures work. Please Help!

Hi,
As the Other threads suggests I would check the Date and Time settings on the Mac and compare that with the settings in the router.
Messages (and iChat before that) send Time stamped info to Login and to send IMs.
Obviously most people set their Macs to their Time Zone and nearest city/town.
What people sometimes forget is that their Router/Modem device(s) have to be set correctly as well.

Also Add a Public DNS server to your System Preferences> Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab
A Google one such as 8.8.4.4 or 8.8.8.8 seem to work well for most people

Using Firefox (and having ZoneAlarm), when logging into my work email (Lotus Notes) through a secure Citrix program, a question mark types as and accented "E". This does not happen when using IE (which I prefer not to use). I have turned off the anti-keylogger in ZA (an old, and no longer successful fix). Can anyone help? I need my question marks at work.

You must log into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and log in.
Also, if you have the cloud icon next to tracks in iTunes that means the initial scan, match and upload process is not complete yet. You should wait for it to complete before enabling the service in your iPhone. -

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck
