Problems navigating Verizon website with Chrome?

I am having trouble navigating the Verizon wireless website using Chrome browser. When I click on certain links, it hangs with "http://www.verizonwireless.com/backbutton.html" in the address line.
(Example: on https://nbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/secure/router.action if I click on any of the "I Want To..." links, it hangs with a blank screen)
Anyone else have this problem or am I miss-configured?

Since 2 weeks I am having problems in chrome ( don't load sections etc ), if I access with FF all works ok, but with chrome and safari is imposible to navigate to the diferent forums etc...

When I try to access an active link from a website (usually a pdf file), the new tab opens and is labeled correctly; the word "done" appears at the bottom; but the page does not open or download. The same problem does not occur with Chrome.

Example: on the home page of the website http://www.dot.ri.gov
there is an active link entitled "Overview of all Iway changes - Fall 2010"
Clicking on it exposes the following url:
http://www.dot.ri.gov/documents/iway/Iway_Changes_Fall2010.pdf
However, the tab remains blank, even though it says "Done" in the bottom left corner.
When I use Google Chrome as a browser, I have no problem opening that url.
This has occurred numerous times over the past several days on several different sites--and usually the link that will not open is a pdf file.

Problem using Acrobat Pro with Chrome 41.0.2272.118

This works in IE and Firefox but not in Chrome; When I double click on an attachment on my dashbord, only while in Chrome, It tries to open in it's own pdf viewer or Acrobat Reader depending on what plug-in is enabled.. I want to open pdf's in Acrobat X Pro. I have Edit-Prefs-"Display PDF in Browser" selected and the pointer set to Acrobat XPro. I tried disabling both Chrome pdf viewer and the Acrobat Reader Plug-Ins and now it sends me to save the attachment. This adds many steps to what is a single Point & Click in FF or IE. I need the full functionallity of A-X Pro. I have to do this many times in a day. Saving to my internal drive and reopening from there will waste a lot of time in a day.

1. To change the scan mode to ADF, you can change it on MAC under the Scan-Modus dropdown in ICA Window (Second window in snapshot)
2. I think you are able to scan both sides automatically using Samsung SCX scanner as the scanner is a duplex scanner. Currently Acrobat automatically scans only front side for simplex scanner and scans both sides for duplex scanner and the option for scan sides is disabled for ICA
In case your scanner stops scanning in flatbed mode, please try to scan with the system scanner to see if it is not due to scanning at a very high DPI
I think this solves your problems.

Building Websites with Layers

I have had many problems in building websites with layers,in
particular with Template Changes , I take it that Tables are a more
reliable and better method then using Layers , my concern are that
Tables from what I can see are not as easy to position and when I
go into Layout mode and Try adding table cells I cannot put a Table
cell at the Top of the screen , there is allways a small gap that
leaves a White bar at the top of my website.
So what are the Best Methods .?. Use Frames to dive up your
page then use tables for the majority of the content with the
occasional layer.?.

way of doing
certain layout requirements. Layers are a poor method to use

Safari won't load certain websites but Chrome does :/

I am running OSX 10.10 and safari ver Version 8.0 (10600.1.25). I had the Yosemite beta before this current installation and Mavericks before that.
When I try opening certain websites with Safari they will not load. They will get stuck in the "loading" screen (the blue bar under the omnibar will start going from the left to the right) but the page simply wont load. When I try to access the same website with Chrome it loads instantly. Is there any way to reinstall Safari from scratch to see if that will solve the issue?

MIght be a plugin ...
From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Enable plug ins. Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference then you need to troubleshoot third party add ons > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
And try deleting the cache associated with Safari. (Not the same as deleting the cache from the Safari menu bar.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/LIbrary/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Clck Go
Move the Cache.db (or ApplicationCaches.db) file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
And several of the sites you mentioned require the Flash plugin. Try uninstalling the currently installed Flash plugin, then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure there's enough free space on the starutp disk.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon in your Desktop. Click Get Info.
In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
And remove any items in System Preferences > Security > Login Items
Same for HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Startupitems

Firefox not showing colours of website pages despite trying out your troubleshooting tips or reinstalling, while no such problem isthere with Chrome or Opera

I am surprised, as I have been using Firefox for the last so many years, and have never encountered such a problem. Any website that I access with Firefox has its colours missing. The background is just white. Colours of Header/Navigation tabs etc are also missing. There is no problem with Font sizes or colours.
I see that this problem is unique with Firefox only. I tried your troubleshooting tips including 'Tools - Options - Content - Colours - Allow pages to choose own colours..' and also reinstalling latest version of Firefox without any addons. Problem persists.
I tried the same websites using Chrome and Opera, both of which have returned original page colours.
Can anyone help me please?

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings and that you allow pages to choose their own colors in Firefox.

Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome

Problem with jquery slide show conflict with vertical navigation menu in Firefox & Chrome. Works in IE. This is my first time trying to post a question - so please be kind. I am also not good with code and am finding css a real challenge after learning to design based on tables. I'm using CS5.

I realize the images are not ideally sized - I'll fix those once I get the pages to function. Maybe I need a different slide show? I would prefer a widget that I can modify to required size & postition. Again - I'm not good at building with code from scratch.
The problem is the naviagation links that are directly next to the slide show do not work in Firefox of Chrome. They do work in IE.
I've read about using jQuery.noConflict(); code but can't figure out the correct way to use it in my case or whether that's even part of the solution. I know my code is not well organized as I have cobbled together from various sources in an attempt to format the page the way the client wants it. Also, FYI, I will eventually try to make the page work in Surreal CMS.
I've spent sevaral days over the last several weeks trying to solve sth slide show/navigation conflict - so any specific light you can shed will be much appreciated.

I use Ameritrade website for the stock market. When accessing Command Center it asks for an old version of Java. I have no problems with Chrome.

Mac OSX 10.6 Intel. I can use an older version of Firefox, 3.67 without problems, but any of the new versions wont load the Command Center that allows me to keep track of stock sales and etc. The program asks me to install Java. It seems to want an older version of Java.
I have no problem using Command Center with Google Chrome.

There's nothing Firefox can do about that. You need to contact Command Center.
Using old, possibly insecure, programs is never a good idea.

I have a problem with FP 13 in that a Council website with a regional map viewer will not now open.

The site was designed around FP 10 and the link they have to download FP 10 nowalso directs to FP 13. I followed the "How to revert to FP 11.7 (Chris Campbell Oct 2013) along with the uninstall instructions link and now have both zip FP 10.3 and zip 11.7 in my downloads. I attempted to run FP 11.7, the "winax" file for IE after unzipping it but I am blocked bya window that says I cannot do this and must install FP 13. The only choice in this window, other than downloading is QUIT. What is the best approach now. The website is Auckland Council and the window concerned is "GIS Viewer". neither Chrome or IE will open it.

At one point there were two separate installers (one for 32-bit OS and another for 64-bit OS), but that has not been the case for a long time. Based on the error, it's possible you may using an older version of the uninstaller (to find out the version of the uninstaller, right-click on the file, select properties, then the 'details' tab). The latest version is always posted to this link, and will work on both 32- and 64-bit operating systems. If you get the same error using this uninstaller, please post the contents at the end of the FlashInstall.log file, that show the uninstall attempt. Since you have a 64-bit OS, there will be two files at the following locations:
32-bit: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
64-bit: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

QTVR problem with Chrome

Hello,
I have noticed a problem with QTVR files (interactive panoramas):
- the navigation with mouse doesn't work
- the navigation with arrows keys works
- the navigation with 2 fingers gestures on trackpad works
Curiously, no problem with Chrome for Windows (so far...)
I have also noticed:
- on Windows the QT extension version is 7.7.2
- on OSX QT extension version is 7.7.1 (and it seems that I can't upgrade)
So, is it possible to fix the problem of the mouse?

Thanks a lot for your response, but unfortunately your suggestion doesn't solve the issue.
First, it seems that it's not possible to switch Chrome in 32 bits mode.
I tried with Firefox, which presented the same problem, but nothing changed...
Just to sum up things:
MacOSX
- Safari and Opera : no problem
- Chrome and Firefox : mouse problem
Windows
- Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera and... IE : no problem!
And just to let you know (nothing to do with the problem): I have a HTML5/CSS3/WebGL versions of the panoramas which work great on any browser on MacOSX/IOS and which don't work on Windows except for Safari...

I can only guess about the reason... Firefox works with many websites' "rich text" editors, but ones that haven't been updated for five years may assume that Firefox is the old Netscape browser and use scripting techniques that don't work in Firefox.
If Verizon has a different "basic" or HTML editor that you can tolerate using, you could try that. It might not be subject to the same incompatibilities.
If I someday get a Verizon account, I will surely be looking into this further, but for now, it's hard to suggest anything else.

To configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader to open PDF files:
1. Quit Internet Explorer(any other browser)
2. Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
3. Choose Edit > Preferences.
4. Select Internet in the list on the left.
5. Deselect(Uncheck) Display PDF in Browser, and click OK.
6. Restart Internet Explorer
