Problems opening Google Docs

I have a 3G blackberry with 6.0 OS.
I have a little problem with blackberry browser. I tried to open google docs. I found a good mobile site but when I try to open a page i can't view all the page. I can view only on the up-left of the page... i can't go right or down.
I don't think it's a google problem. I have the same problem with ATM Mobile (an application to see metros of Milan). When i try to see maps of metros I can't scroll the (probably) jpeg image of the maps (a vertical image. I can see up o down but not the middle of the image).
Why there is a problem like this in a good smartphone like it?

Google Docs is not an application. It is just a web page. If you want to open a true attachment with Google Docs, you have to upload it. Normally, documents that originate in Google Docs are shared via a link to the document in Google Docs. If you want to open true attachments, you need an application that can handle the data.

Problem opening Google docs after upgrade to Safari 7.1

I was using these spreadsheets and documents just fine until the last upgrade to 7.1
Now the pages start to load and then flash on and off, will not hold on the screen and finally display an error message: "A problem repeatedly occurred with __docname___" The only option given is to "Reload Page" which results in the same error message.
How can I get back into working with these Google docs?

Can't open google docs since iOS 6

Since I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPad and iPhone, I can no long open Google Docs on Google Drive. I have been using QuickOffice Pro HD for a couple years. When I went to open files that I had opened days earlier, I get an error message. I thought the problem was with QuickOffice, but I loaded Office2 HD and get the same message. I can still access Word Documents on Google Drive using QuickOffice. I can access the Google Docs using CloudOn, but that program saves the Google Doc as a Word Doc, so now I have two documents with the same name and I don't really want to go back through and convert everything. I'm guessing there's something about the upgrade that is causing this problem. Anybody else having this problem. The support forum for QuickOffice is enraged, but I'm not sure they're the culprit. Here is the pic of what happens why he opens the file on iOS 6. It does not go any further. I open it fine with no problems, I am on iOS 5.1.1

Firefox 3.6.13 will not open Google Docs on MAC OSX 10.6.6. This is extremely irritating. Is this Apples way of persuading us to use Safari?

Another problem is that I can't open web links from '''Tweetdeck'''. Then I get the message:
''"A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time."''
I can't use Firefox any more if this continues.

I can't even force quit Firefox. I'm running MAC OSX10.4.11. Can't shut down computer without hard turn off on back of MAC. When I turn on again, the same frozen Firefox is on the screen. Can't escape this junk. This has happened so often that I may never use Firefox again IF I CAN EVER QUIT out of it.

Opening google docs with apple mail

Hi there
Anyone worked out away to open an attachment in Apple Mail App using Google Docs? Or will I have to change my mail app or stick with using Gmail in my browser?

Google Docs is not an application. It is just a web page. If you want to open a true attachment with Google Docs, you have to upload it. Normally, documents that originate in Google Docs are shared via a link to the document in Google Docs. If you want to open true attachments, you need an application that can handle the data.

Problem opening word doc if folder or file contains space

I am writing a program to open a word doc.The code i wrote is as follows

the variable path will contain
C:\My Documents\abc.doc
if the folder name or file name contains space in between, the word document will not open.It gives an error saying
trying to open C:\My\ couldn't find the file.
otherwise(if folder or file name doesn't contain space) it works fine.
So how do i overcome this problem?

Just a guess, but since it's based on the file protocol, you could try replacing the spaces in the path variable with %20%

Problems opening Word docs with form function

Does anyone know how to open a Word doc & keep the forms function? I have to fill out quarterly reports. When I open this type of Word doc, Pages eliminates the checkboxes and text boxes. A pain point, but Word doc is still usable.

Problem opening embedded docs in Word 2011

I recently upgraded my business workstation to a Mac. For docs I am using Microsoft Word 2011. I received a doc from a colleague (PC) who embedded docs in the the document. In this particular case they were pdfs. These were embedded as objects. In the past all I needed to do was double click and the object opened as the document. Now that I am on a Mac, when I try to open the pdf opject, I get the following message: 'Word cannot locate the server application for ArchExch.Document.7 objects.' How do I acess these embedded documents? Many of my clients use a PC. I'd rather not have to buy a PC Word and open via parallels. It will get very complicated.

It used to be possible in Word 2003 for Mac.
However, I found the solution to this myself right now. In order to indent an entire paragraph, you indent the second line of a paragraph, using the Tab-key. This will indent the entire thing. A stupid, silly thing to change, but at least this works.

Problem opening PDF Docs. Can anyone help?

Hi , I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 and Adobe Reader is installed. But when I try to open a PDF doc , I get a message stating I have to install Adobe Reader. Of course when try to do this I get a message stating its already installed. So I am in a catch 22 situation. Can anyone help me please? Lewis

Problems opening word doc that used to open fine in previous pages

Hello all I have perusing the forum to find out if someone had a solution. I have some word documents that I no longer can open. I do not know if it is pages 08 that is the culprit or leopard but I cannot find a way. I can see the pages in outlook, I can open them with text edit and loose all tables formating (not a good alternative right now) but I cannot open them in pages. I really do not want to reinstall word 04 as I prefer to use mac programs to any microsoft. If someone can tell me what to do I would appreciate it.
I have done the get info open file with... to no avail.

Hi everyone, I just found the solution to the problem and I am posting it here to help others who may have the same problem.
My files were on a disk and when I copied them on the computer itself they opened without difficulties. I am not sure why. If you know please explain it to me.

Problems opening PDF docs in AI CC

This is frustrating.
I print an e-mail as a PDF I want to edit in Illustrator CC. I'm on win 7 x64. The PDF displays fine in Nitro Pro PDF viewer.
But in Illustrator I get:
I end up going to PS CC and it renders it fine, but not editable. Any ideas how to fix this?

When you open a PDF with live Type (editable text) in Illy, you need to have (all) the font(s) installed.

HT1338 Having a problem opening Word doc after they are downloaded.

Problem Opening Pages Docs

I am using Pages 5.5.1 on my iMac, running OS X 10.10.1. All of a sudden, when I try to open a saved Pages document, I get a message, "couldn't be opened. The required index.xml file is missing." Sometimes, Pages then quits. The only workaround I have found is to select the document, click "Open With" and select Pages 5.5.1, but I shouldn't have to do that constantly. Anyone have any suggestions for a permanent fix?

You have both Pages '09 and Pages 5.5.1 on your MAc and are alternately opening your documents with the wrong version.
Pages 5.5.1 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
Open with the correct version by right click > Open With…
You will find Pages 5.5.1 is missing over 100 features and is incompatible with everything but itself and Yosemite/iOS 8.

Uploading exported Excel file to Google Docs

I exported a spreadsheet as an Excel .xls file, but Google won't let me upload it giving me an error:
We're sorry, but we were unable to upload this document.
If you have the desktop word processor installed on this computer, there are two other easy ways to bring the file into Google Docs:
Using the Clipboard
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
Type ⌘-A to select the contents of the entire document.
Type ⌘-C to copy it to the clipboard.
In Google Docs, create a new document.
When the Edit window appears, type ⌘-V to paste it in.
Save as HTML
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
Choose File > Save As...
In the dialog that appears, select Web Page (*.htm; *.html) for the "Save as type."
Save the file, and make a note of the file name and folder, as you'll need it next.
In Google Docs, choose Upload again from the main page.
This time, specify the html file you just made in the desktop word processor.
Using either of these approaches, you should now have the document open in Google Docs.

Anyone else have this problem?
It seems Google doesn't like the Excel version that Numbers exports. The file will open fine in Excel and if I re-save it from Excel it will upload no problem to Google Docs.

I can't open Google Browser window

I use Mac os 10.6.8 and today my computer was really slow so I decided to shut down all open programs including Google Chrome. However, after I restarted the computer, the Google Chrome browser wouldn't open.
This has happened to me before several times and it was a simple matter of restarting the computer and it would work again.
However, it wouldn't do this.
I went to Library and saved the bookmarks and bookmarks.bak files.
I then downloaded Google Chrome.dmg and then replaced the old Google chrome in Apps with the new one. However, the browser window still wouldn't open.
I tried trashing everything - old version and new version and then installing Google Chrome again but the window still doesn't open.
I don't know if this is related but I installed CNet downloader recently by mistake and this changed all my browsers - I had new search engines and so on put in there by CNet downloader.
I had to reset some of the settings in Chrome.
I want to get rid of the downloader but don't know where to find it to get rid of it.
I am worried that the downloader from CNET is causing problems with opening Chrome because I know Yahoo! and Google are competitors ...
I may be being paranoid here. It's just that I have never had such a big problem opening Google Chrome in the past.
I really depend on Chrome for everything as a browser. How can I get the browser to open? I haven't deleted the Chrome folder in the Library/Application Support because I am not technically minded and I don't want to delete something and regret it later.
However, I have been trying to install and open the Chrome browser several times now, deleting the application from the Applications folder several times, restarting my computer, to no avail.
So I have come here to get help as I browsed the web but did not find anything helpful especially for mac users.

I deleted everything - Chrome from Applications and the Chrome folder from Library/Applications Support and then I reinstalled Chrome again. And I also went to System Preferences and I went to Security and Advanced and then added Google Chrome to the list.
After I did this, I was able to get a working Chrome browser.
But I ran into another problem. Even though I had saved the bookmarks by copying the Bookmarks file onto an external drive, when it came to importing them (as an html file) into the new Chrome, using the Bookmarks manager, it didn't work. So I had to delete the Bookmarks file and bak file from the Library/Applications Support site and then place the saved bookmarks files there. And now the bookmarks appear fine in the new downloaded browser.
I think I should try and disable the automatic update of Google feature for the future because I think that's how the problem starts. (Also, I deleted a folder named Spigots from Library because I think that's the CNET downloader application that changes your browsers and changes search engines and adds other things as well.)
