Problems playing music after transferring.

So I got a new computer, and I thought I had successfully transferred all of my songs from my old computer to the new one. I went to play a song on my new computer and it says it can't find the song, and has to locate it. What do I do because I don't have my computer anymore! Can I get them okay off my iPad? If I can, please tell me how to do it bc I don't know how!

Hey man !

  • Problem Playing Music After Update

Today I updated my iTunes software to 6.0.4.2. While installing the update for both iTunes and quicktime 7, I received an error -3 during the quicktime installation, which prevents Quicktime from being installediTunes apparently installed without a problem. But now when I try to play any of my music, nothing happens. The time stays at 0:00, and the play button does not change to the pause symbol, although the speaker appears next to whatever track I try to play. And, even stranger, iTunes will play CDs I put into my computer. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and then I discovered that somehow my sound device was effected by the itunes update. I went to Control panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, and all the options under all the tabs were disabled. I selected the
hardware tab, highligted my sound device and clicked properties. Device status says it could not be started.
Under the Driver tab, I uninstall the device. I restarted the computer and let it find the sound device and
reinstall it. Restarted one more time.
I then checked my sound device in Control panel and everything was back. I opened itunes and now I can play any song. I hope this helps.

After doing an OS update, now iTunes stops playing music after playing a few songs. Any thoughts about how to remedy this?

Same Problem here. Also, when this happens, it loses whatever album art was playing before. I've tried reinstalling and it doesn't help. Any ideas how to fix this? It's really annoying!

  • Ipod Won't Play Music After 4.02 Update

    Hey guys,
I just updated my Touch to 4.02 and now I'm having problems playing music and other sounds. At first, the Ipod would play though the built-in speaker but when I plugged in headphones the volume control disappeared and music/sounds would not play. I reset my Ipod and now it's the opposite; volume controls disappear and sounds won't play when I unplug headphones.
This is really frustrating as the update really didn't help me any it just keeps me from jail-breaking my Ipod, it's pretty ridiculous. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a similar issue. I can't get the sounds to play on the internal speaker on the iPod but they will play when headphones are plugged in. It appears that the software thinks my headphones are plugged in when in fact, they are not. Help!

  • My ipod shuffle 2nd gen suddenly stops playing music after 15-20 mins.First it flashes green light and then flashes red light rapidly. Any solution to this ?

My ipod shuffle 2nd gen suddenly stops playing music after 15-20 mins.First it flashes green light and then flashes red light rapidly. Any solution to this ?

A 2nd gen shuffle is about six year old at this point.  The likely cause is a battery that is worn out, with greatly reduced capacity or inability to hold a charge.  The initial green light shows a good charge.  The red light means the battery is drained.
Since the shuffle still appears in iTunes, you can try doing a Restore in case the cause is related to corrupted software on the shuffle.  The Restore button is on the shuffle's Settings screen in iTunes.  This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.
Also, when the light becomes red and the shuffle stops playing, try turning OFF the shuffle for at least ten seconds.  Then, turn it back ON.  This resets the shuffle.  Does it play again?  If it does, let it play until it no longer plays again.  Repeat turning it OFF and ON until it no longer plays.  Then, connect it to power and charge it to full.  See if that makes any difference.
If that does not help, the solution is to replace the battery.  If you have a repair shop do it, the cost is probably uneconomical, compared to the cost of a brand new 4th gen shuffle ($50) that has more features, and a new set of headphones, plus a one-year warranty.
If you are good at such things, this web site has repair guides

  • ITunes doesn't play music after sleeping mode.

iTunes doesn't play music. I try to start any song by remote app in iPhone from sleeping mode of mac mini.
I can see all my music library, choose any artist and any albom.
But when I try to start the music nothing is happen.
The button Play/pause doesn't work and the play-bar is not moving.
This issue have appeared after upgrade to iTunes 11 and new remote app.
After reboot iTunes everything is ok, but in a sleep mode I have the same problem.
    Please help!

okay. i solved the problem. After reading a few other posts on related topics, it appears that using either the Setup Assistant(instead of the Airport Admin program) or if you are using the new version called 'Airport Utility' to use the option to 'Assist Me'. After going through the setup in this way it worked!

  • Lumia 925 volume problem playing music

when playing music the volume decreases after 15-20 minutes, I have to keep increasing volume so i can hear anything. Using headphones I have to increase volume to 30 for reasonable sound, but only happens after 15-20 minutes...soft reset does not help. Hardware issue or software? Anyone had this problem? It did happen once after a warning on screen about hearing damage at high volume...

It is not a software or hardware fault/bug. It is a generic warning. I hear music at volume 15-18 and it very audible, as I use a noise cancelling ear-phones I don't have to increase the volume higher when I'm outside.

  • Problems playing mp3s after installing iTunes 7.1

I installed iTunes 7.1 today. After that, I have problems playing mp3 songs on my iPod (80 GB). The AAC-files play well. The mp3 songs can also be played on iPod via iTunes when its connected to my computer, but when I disconnect from the computer, the mp3 songs starts, and play for about 2 second, and then jumps to the end of the song and stop.
    Very thankful for any help.

that's typically caused by a problem with your QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)

  • How can i get my iphone to automatically play music after watching a video or something that requires audio

I Have a iphone 5 and was wondering if there is a way i can get my music to automatically play again after watching a video or something that requires audio

Is the jack not fitting into the top of the iPhone?
If so then you would need this adapter for it to fit properly.

  • AirTunes -  Unable to Play Music After Installing iTunes 7.1

I upgraded to iTunes 7.1 and all of a sudden I can no longer play music through my stereo speakers. iTunes gives an error "The Remote Speaker <speaker name> is not compatible with this version of iTunes". Airport Express is v6.2.
Has anyone encountered this error, and is there a fix?
    PowerMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Ditto here.
    Mac OS 10.4.9. iTunes 7.1.1 (5)
Airport Extreme Base Station "chained" to 2 Aiport Express Remotes. All connections are fine. Have internet on remote Macs. Airport Admin utility displays all three airport units, but I'm now unable to broadcast to the remote Express hooked up to my stereo in adjacent room. Have done this many times in the past without problem, but not in past couple months, so can't say if it broke with 7.1 or 7.1.1, but I get this message from iTunes:
The remote speaker "Living Room Speakers" is not compatible with this version of iTunes.
Prior to restarting iTunes (and being sure all Aiport station firmware was up-to-date, I was getting the message that no speakers were connected (double-checked all speaker and stereo connections), but now just the "not compatible" message.

  • Problems Playing Music Files...

When I try to play music in iTunes, the progress diamond moves, but there is not sounds. Videos work properly, and the music files play in other applications (WMP, Real, and Quicktime). I have read the help articles in the Apple Support section and a few similar posts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Thanks so MUCH for writing AGAIN. Obviously, you're not understanding my problem.
Please check this thread: http://forums.creative.com/creativel...id=24057#M5295?for your personal research purposes. It's pretty frustrating when someone who has never experienced the same computer problem as you tells you it'scan/cannot be experiencing. I bought an X-FI Xtreme Audio last night, just to compare...put it in, and voila...mono files correctly upmixed with CMSS-3D.
?...anyways, enough is enough. But PLEASE don't be so PRESUMPTUOUS next time. Michael

  • I-Phone stopping playing music after one track

I have a i-phone 3G and when I use the i-pod function it will play music fine until the next track and then it will stop and go back to the main i-phone screen. Anyone got any ideas why this is the case?

Are there check marks beside all the songs in your itunes library? Unchecked songs have to be clicked on individually to play them, checked songs will play one after the other.
