Problems posting to mobileMe
MobileMe has taken several steps backwards with this update;
1. when uploading to mobileMe, I can no longer send a CC to another email address at the same time.
2. you are now required to type in a name for each photo before you can publish it.
3. when in the camera roll screen, if you select more than one (1) picture, then you lose the 'send to mobileMe' option
please let me know if I am just missing something.
You can publish successfully, if you uncheck the option of adding photos via email.

I have provided some steps below that may help with the Caller Id issue you are experiencing.
Try completing a soft reset on the device. A soft reset would be powering the device off and pulling out the battery. Once the battery is removed, place it back in and power the device back on.
Dial *228 and send. Once dialed, listen for the recording to prompt you for option 1 and select option 1. The phone should complete its programming within a minute.
Ensure you are using the area-code and 7 digit number format (ex. 9999951212)
Try removing the contact and re-adding it. -

Problem posting data with HttpsConnection
Hi,
I am currently having problems posting data using a HttpsConnection.
I am setting the setRequestMethod to HttpConnection.POST and then using the openDataOutputStream method.
I will post my code when I get home for reference.
Background to my problem - I am trying to use the declarative security features of J2EE to authenticate a mobile user.
I am firstly firing a HttpsConnection from the mobile device to a protected resource on the app server. I grab the JSessionId from the Set-Cookie http header of the response and post a second request to the j_security_check and provide the refer http header to the protected resource - this simulates exactly what happens on a browser (I used a Http monitor tool to confirm this). However, I need to pass the j_username and j_password as body of the https request. This doesn't seem to work because the server displays my access denied at this point - as if it hadn't received the crednetials
However, just to confirm my technique works I subsituted the post request for a get request to j_security_check and passed the j_username and j_password as request params in the URL. This worked fine and I got a 302 response 'temporily moved' which I then handle by simply making a further request for the original resource - this time it serves back the resource because I am authenticated.
Anyway that sets the scene - so the problem definitely appears to be posting data using an HttpsConnection.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Problem Posting an Event to the EventQueue
Hi all,
while i develop a java application i get problem posting ana event to the EventQueue using postEvent method.Here is the problem.i have a menu which have 3 menu items (Load, store, hide).i want when the user click "hide" the code in "store" option excuted plus extra code in option "hide".i tried to implement this using the postEvent of EventQueue. i simlate this by tring to post ActionEvent to simulate user cliks option "store" but this didn't work. can anyone tell me what's the problem.thankstry JMenuItem's doClick(). that simulates the user clicking on your menu item.

Problem posting photos to Facebook Pages. Help!
Is anyone else having a problem posting photos to Facebook Pages? I have been doing so on a daily basis for a few years now. Yesterday, I was unable to post to a Facebook Page (not personal accounts).
Now, when I attempt to create a Published Collection for Facebook, I no longer have the option to select an existing Facebook Page Album.
Has something changed? Many thanks in advance for your feedback!

Midlothian,VAhi again.. in January it was a facebook problem.. there were no lightroom updates.. same now.. so you can go to facebook and fill in that form That Paul Diming talks about in a previous post
I have reported this problem to Facebook using their own problem reporting mechanism.
It would help if everyone who is having this issue should do the same. Here is the process:
1. Click on the pull down on the far upper right of the screen.
2. Click "Report a Problem"
3. Click "Something Isn't Working"
4. Select Pages on the pull down.
5. Explain the problem.
6. Upload a screen image. I captured an image of trying to create a new published collection with the pull down showing no Page Albums listed.
It might help for Facebook to know that it isn't just me having the problem. -
Problem posting to group wiki/blog using podcast capture
I am having a problem posting to 2 wiki blogs using podcast capture and montage workflow. A similar montage workflow works great on another group wiki blog. I am getting this log error:

Performance problems post Oracle 10.2.0.5 upgrade
Hi All,
We have patched our SAP ECC6 system's Oracle database from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.5. (Operating system Solaris). This was done using the SAP Bundle Patch released in February 2011. (patched DEV, QA and then Production).
Post patching production, we are now experiencing slower performance of our long running background jobs, e.g. our billing runs has increased from 2 hours to 4 hours. The slow down is constant and has not increased or decreased over a period of two weeks.
We have so far implemented the following in production without any affect:
We have double checked that database parameters are set correctly as per note Note 830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g.
We have executed with db02old the abap<->db crosscheck to check for missing indexes.
Note 1020260 - Delivery of Oracle statistics (Oracle 10g, 11g).
It was suggested to look at adding specific indexes on tables and changing abap code identified by looking at the most "expensive" SQL statements being executed, but these were all there pre patching and not within the critical long running processes. Although a good idea to optimise, this will not resolve the root cause of the problem introduced by the upgrade to 10.2.0.5. It was thus not implemented in production, although suggested new indexes were tested in QA without effect, then backed out.
It was also suggested to implement SAP Note 1525673 - Optimizer merge fix for Oracle 10.2.0.5, which was not part of the SAP Bundle Patch released in February 2011 which we implemented. To do this we were required to implement the SAP Bundle Patch released in May 2011. As this also contains other Oracle fixes we did not want to implement this directly in production. We thus ran baseline tests to measure performance in our QA environment, implemented the SAP Bundle patch, and ran the same tests again (simplified version of the implementation route ).Result: No improvement in performance, in fact in some cases we had degradation of performance (double the time). As this had the potential to negatively effect production, we have not yet implemented this in production.

well the first goal should be to get the original performance so that you have time to do deeper analysis in your QA system (if the data set is the same).
If the problem is caused by some new optimizer features or bugs you can try to "force" the optimizer to use the "old" 10.2.0.2 behaviour. Just set the parameter OPTIMIZER_FEATURES_ENABLE to 10.2.0.2 and check your performance.

To get more information we need an AWR (for an overview) and the problematic SQL statements (with all the information like execution plan, statistics, etc.). This analysis are very hard through a forum. I would suggest to open a SAP SR for this issue.

Problems publishing to MobileMe after upgrade to iWeb '11
I have a web site created in iWeb '08 which worked well. Upgraded to iLife '11 this weekend.
I opened iWeb and the pages of the site showed as having been changed (page names displayed in red). I added a countdown timer widget to the main page to see what it would look like and selected to republish the entire site to MobileMe.
iWeb had been chugging for hours now (tried this twice). The little "pie" progress icon next to the site name shows that the site is almost done publishing (showing a complete "pie") but it looks like it is still chugging.
I checked my site online (www.cruisenotebook.com) to see if it was the progress icon that was incorrect but am noticing that many elements are mising. The menu at the top of the page is missing, the countdown widget is not showing, an HTML snippet on the main page is not showing and any photo galleries are empty. So maybe it hasn't completed publishing...?
iLife '11 is new, so I don't know if anyone has had much change to work with it, but since iWeb did not change in this release, maybe someone has had similar problems with iWeb '09? (I didn't upgrade to iLife '09 because I wanted to avoid upgrade issues, but I was worried about getting too far behind the current version so I upgraded. This'll teach me!)

Tried this suggestion. The new test site publishes correctly. I put the original domain file back into the folder and tried republishing. A similar error is displayed (a different file name however). I did get more the site published though. The menu appears on the pages now, but there are still some elements on the site that do not appear.
I am going to try publishing the site to a file and see how that works.

Problem posting pdf's in iWeb podcast...
I have created an iWeb site to share lecture audio and video with my students. This has worked extremely well without any problems. But recently I tried to start adding pdf's to the podcast so they could see the lecture slides, notes, etc on their Touches or iPhones and iTunes does not see them on the Podcast feed. This is driving me nuts.
My usual method has been first to record the lecture audio, tweak it and add it to the podcast via iWeb. No problem. As a second step my students wanted the slides to look at on their Touches or iPhones while they listened. So after posting the audio, I started opening my lectures in Keynote "Share"ing them to iWeb as pdf's, then selecting the same podcast for a destination - iWeb creates a new entry with the pdf centrally located and everything. Should work perfectly right? Wrong.
The PDF is definitely viewable online so I'm sure it's being uploaded to the server. It's just the iTunes step that's breaking down, and my students can't podcast the pdf's on their Touches or iPhones.
I believe I'm adding the pdf's correctly - either sharing them directly from Keynote, or dragging and dropping them onto the single media placeholder, etc. Nothing works.
In desperation I've even tried creating a new podcast page for JUST the pdf's and iTunes doesn't see those pdf's either. I get the "there are no downloadable files at the url" message. However, I can then drop an audio or video file into that new podcast and iTunes sees it immediately, downloads it as usual, etc. So it's only with pdf's which I thought iTunes was able to podcast without difficulty.
I heard that iTunes 9 had some early trouble with pdf's but it was supposed to be fixed with last update.
Does ANYONE out there have any suggestions or fixes for this?
Please!?My problem exactly. I have successfully combined video podcasts and teaching notes on the same podcast page and up to now they have worked brilliantly. Suddenly this does not work. The .pdf files don't come in to iTunes? Can anyone help me to resolve this?

If you make the panel invisible, then all the component added to the panel will also be invisible.
You have a structure something like this:
main panel
- scroll pane
- viewport
- table panel
- table1
- table 2As you where told in one of you many other posting on this topic, if you want the background of the main panel to show through then you need to make all the component on top of the pane non-opaque, not just the viewport. So, the scroll pane and table panel also need to be changed.
And don't forget to reply to all your other postings on this topic stating that those postings are "closed" so people don't waste time answering in those postings. Keep the conversation in one posting so everybody knows what has been suggested. -
Problem posting message from adapter engine to IS

We experience the next problem. We use JMS sender adapter to post message into XI. Message comes into the adapter engine and tries to post it into integration server. http://<host>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
When posting we get the (very generic) error:
Received HTTP response code 500..
The Adapter engine does a retry every 5 minutes.
After the 3th retry most of the status of the message in the adapter engine is set to NON_DELIVERED.
However for what ever reason sometimes the 2nd or 3th time the message does get processed to the IS.
Is there anyone who experienced similar problems or does anyone know a solution for this.

I'm having problems updating a gallery. Worked fine before Leopard. Now the posting process is amazingly slow. Occasionally gives me a message at the end that publication has occurred and offers to display the gallery in the browser. That's okay for the moment, but after that it's impossible to open in a fresh Safari page. The message is that the server stopped responding. I checked my iDisk and the gallery file is there and it seems to be complete. I've tried backing out all added photos since my last successful upload and that isn't working either -- same process of a very long upload, occasional messages of successful publication but failure to actually make it to the web.

DanI received this reply from Apple. My password is not over twenty characters and I am not trying to publish to a password protected gallery. I can publish to my idisk, but not upload to the net. I am in the middle of the network troubleshooting section listed below but my network connections all seem to be working normally at this time. I am using Airport but am not experiencing any other problems.
So still not sure what to do, but perhaps this response from the support team will help others in the same fix.

If your .Mac password is longer than 20 characters, go to http://www.mac.com/account and log in with your .Mac member name and current password. Click Password Settings, enter your new password twice, and click Submit. Enter your new password in the .Mac System Preferences and try publishing again.
IF YOU ARE PUBLISHING A PASSWORD-PROTECTED SITE, CHANGE OR DISABLE ITS PASSWORD
As with your own .Mac password, there are some types of passwords and user names that can cause issues when used with a password-protected site. If you create a password-protected site and get error messages when publishing, disable password-protection and then republish. If you still receive error messages, make sure your site's password and user name meet the criteria described in this article:

If you are able to publish to a folder, try copying that folder to your iDisk. To access your iDisk, go to the Finder, and from the Go menu, choose iDisk > My iDisk. After the iDisk mounts on your desktop, copy the folder from your hard disk to the Documents folder in your iDisk. If copying the folder to your iDisk is successful, you can safely delete the folder from your iDisk, as copying it was simply a test to verify that basic connectivity to your iDisk is working as expected. NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING

Try disabling any firewall, proxy servers, or network filtering software you may be using. (Apple can't provide specific configuration or setup information for your proxy server or firewall to allow .Mac publishing, as ports, IP addresses, and other information may change over time.)
Next, simplify your Internet connection. For example, if you connect through multiple networking devices, such as hubs and routers, try connecting your computer directly to your modem and test to see if the issue occurs. If it does not, troubleshoot your networking devices one at a time.

Problem posting pictures on Facebook?
After upgrading to Lion I found I could no longer upload photos to Facebook from my iMac. I am brought to what I think is the Finder dropdown menu and cannot maneuver anywhere from there to find and choose the photo I want to post. I have run Lion Cache Cleaner with its optimizing and maintenance programs to no avail. This posting I was always able to do readily with Snow Leopard. Any ideas???
Upgrade to 10.7.3. Remove the cache cleaner. It is more trouble than it is worth, and causes more problems than it is worth. Backup your data first, and then run the 10.7.3 combo update, then the Flashback patch:

Cache cleaners are typically last resort troubleshooting measures and not "maintenance." Mac OS X primarily only needs backing up as regular tasks. Everything else is extra and not essential unless applications become incompatible.
