Problems printing labels and envelopes with related names

When I try and print out labels for Christmas cards from Address Book, the program creates the first line of the label with the name on the Address Book "card", plus the names of the "Related Name" entries on the card. This works for most cards except in the following situation.
The Related Name field (Spouse, Child, etc.) does a 'fuzzy lookup' to match other cards in the Address Book database. If there is another card with the same name as one of the related names, the address is checked to see if the address matches. If it matches (or if there is no card that matches the related name), Address Book will include the related name on address labels. (Address information is required for this test since Address Book will not print a label for a card that does not have and address.) This was the source of my first problem as I had a card for a related name that had an old address on it, so Address Book chose not to print that related name on the labels as they did not live at the same address. I agree with this logic.
The real problem is revealed when you add a related name to a card in which the first name of the related name matches the first name of another card which is NOT the same person. So I have a card for "John Hart", and on that card I have two relate names, a Spouse of "Nancy Hart" and a Child of "Eric Hart". I also have a card for "Nancy Hart" with a Spouse of "John Hart" and a child of "Eric Hart" and the address matches that on the card of "John Hart". If I print a label for "John Hart", Address Book properly prints "John, Nancy and Eric Hart". Now if I add a card for "Eric Smith" and either have a different address or no address at all on that card, when I print a label for "John Hart" Address Book will print "John and Nancy Hart", effectively losing the child. I can only think that Apple made the search for related cards TOO FUZZY and forgot to include the last name in the search.
Apple... are you out there? Please help!!!
PS: My full database has many records that are incurring this problem, and it's annoying.

After going through 3 2nd level support personnel, I finally reached one who cared enough to actually type in what I asked him to, and then to research the findings.
As I pointed out above, Address Book compares the related names with the other cards in the database. If there is no card for the specific related name, Address Book will stop at a record with a matching first name and then compare addresses. If the addresses do not match, it will not print the related name. The support rep stated that hopefully in future version this might be refined.
AS A WORKAROUND, he suggested I create cards for any of the related names on my cards. Once this is done, and the cards have matching addresses, all of the related names on the selected card for label or envelope printing are printed.

I am very frustrated by the impossibility, when printing labels or envelopes from Address Book, of including both an individual name and a company name on the label or envelope. The Address book will only print one or the other. When sending correspondence to a person in a large company or building, the correspondence will not get to that person with only the company name or the individual name. It shocks me that in all these years I have been a Mac user, Apple has never noticed and fixed this fundamental problem. I would now like to buy an Ipod or an Ipad, but I am reluctant because I do not want to have to sync my addresses to Apple's juvenile address book. Is there any solution to this?

How do I get spouses and children on to printed labels and envelops?

I store spouses and children in the fields provided for these names. When I go to print labels, Address Book puts the primary name and one randomly selected child name on the first line. So if the person is Jane Smith, I have her spouse listed as John, and two kids listed as Jake and Janice, the label will read.

Nowhere, NH
Can I get the spouse name and the other kids to show up? How?
+Also, any tips on dealing with couples with two last names? That's more of a data entry question, but if anyone has ways this works for labels but also for logical address book and iPhone look up.+

For this I run RSTXSCRP but the problem is that when I spefify different name for a form while importing, it gives an error...
I tried to edit exported file before importing changing form name inside a file, but this not helped...

Printing Problem with labels and envelopes

I have Microsoft office:mc 2004 and cannot print labels and envelopes. Whenever I ask to print it boots out and states that there is a problem and ask me to report the problem. I have reported it 20 times in the last 2 days with no response from apple. Can anyone give me any input on how to correct this problem? I have a HP laserJet 3050 all in one printer and did not have these problems when I was using a PC with windows. Please help as I am at my last of my patience on this problem. Thanks and please use language I can understand as I am not computer literate on all of the lingo that is being used.

Have you installed a Printer Driver later than the one that comes on the CD? hp generally includes older ones.
Tough to say with so little to go on, but since it could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility

4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.

6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.

You did not mentioned your Mac OS X version, however I assume you have one of the latest versions.
The Photosmart 7150 is not supported on Mac OS X v10.6, v10.7, v10.8 or v10.9 and therefore it is more than likely that there are no drivers for your OS and the used Generic Driver only provide B&W printing.
Although it is not officially supported you may check 3rd party solutions such as the 3rd party HP-IJS print drivers which list your printer as supported.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required downloads, then click the plus sign under Printers & Scanners, click the Use drop down and click on Select Printer Software.
Search for your printer model form the list and select the driver, I believe that may work:

Although it only list up to 10.8 (Mountain Lion) it should also work on Mavericks from my experience.

I can't print a C5 envelope with a gummed flap in tray 1 or the envelope feeder for my Hp4014n

I have a C5 6x9 envelope with a gummed flap that I had been able to print in tray one on my HP 4014n. I had oriented the text on the envelope so that I could turn the envelope around so the gummed flap-which makes the envelope about an inch longer- is facing away from the printer. Since I had my printer serviced I can no longer use tray one. When I try to print the envelope, it gives me a message that the size is mismatched. I have tried all combinations in the paper handling menu for the size and type. I had this same problem when I bought the printer. I remember calling HP and being on the phone for some time. They finally got a combination that worked. I just don't know what it was. I have not changed anything on my computer. I know that the technician must have changed something after I had asked them not to. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Okay, thank you . This tells me we may be experiencing an issue with the driver or wireless connection. I suggest using the following steps to delete the printer from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties. 1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’5. Choose 'Remove driver only'6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this. If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed. If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.

Problem Printing Labels on Zebra label printers

(there may be old solution for my problem, if there is, point me

my environment is oracle 6, windows 2000. server is runnig on
windows NT.
I am generating labels using oracle reports 6 for an application
customised for pharmaceutical company. report has driver report
calls another label generator report. no matter from where i
print the report to zebra S400 label printer, my report builder
crashes. if i run the report from rep file in application, my
application crashes. if i save the report to a pdf file and
print it using acrobat reader, it prints perfectly. if i use any
other application like access, vb etc. they generate label and
print without any problems.
i have the latest windows 2k drivers for the printer. i also
have tried re-install oracle cleint on my pc. the result is
same. applications crash when print using oracle report to label
printer?
has any one come across such a problem? is there a solution for
it?
zebra label printers are pretty much a standard and are being
used in allmost all the client location that my deals with. and
they (printers) number in 1000's. in most of the cases labels
are generated using zpl language in ascii, but why cant oracle
reports print report generated labels to these printers?
zebra has no comments on this, but they demonstrate their
printer capabilities using all other windows based applications
and point back to oracle reports for the problem.
i appreciate any solution, lead, tip to overcome this problem.

Problem printing labels on dot-matrix printer

I am currently using Oracle Reports v 3.0 on an NT network. I need to print labels on an Epson LQ-570+ printer. The user will run a number of reports which will create a file for each location we need to send to. The user will then send 10 - 20 files to the printer at a time. The problem I am having is that since we went to Reports 3.0 on NT if a file has only one label, it will print that label then page forward spitting out 10 blank labels. It then prints the next file. We are using continuous feed labels and are wasting a LOT of labels. I have tried to reset the page size in the properties page of the report but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Photoshop CS5 Print Printing problem: print count and print to ICC profile

Since Adobe still haven't acknowledge the printing issue with CS5, I start this thread to report my own problems.
Problem 1:
print copy count is not working. The first print is always one print regardless how many copies you set in the dialog window. The next print will actually print the copies set in the previous print job.
This is a well documented problem, and until today no fix. I am not too worried about this problem because I can always print one copy each time to get job done, until the day Adobe acknowledge and fix the problem.
Problem 2:
when I let the Photoshop manage color and print to a custome ICC profile (generated by Spyer3Print), Photoshop RANDOMLY decides to print a light colored magenta cast picture. It's like Photoshop has used the wrong ICC. Now every time I print a 13x19, I have to pray. Because this thing is so random, I can't even reproduce the problem consistantly.
here's the information about my system:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit (not a fresh system) with 8GB RAM. Printer drivers installed: Canon Pro9000II, Canon MP600, Epson 1400.
I experience problem 2 after I installed CS5 with Epson 1400 printer, but not too frequent. Later on I installed drivers for Epson R1800, Epson R2400, and I mainly print with R2400. All the printer drivers, software updates are the lastest available.
I was a software developer. I wrote windows application before. I am pretty sure the problem is with CS5 based on my knowledge. If I wrote an Windows application that crashs Windows or another party's appliction, I certainly would not blame Microsoft or another party for not writing a bulletproof system. I would try to find a workaround in my own application. That's just my take. Adobe may have different mind set. They are still pointing finger to MS and Epson.

I don't condone the problems, but a workaround I've recently read about for the copy count problem is to do the following, in order:
1. Set the copy count you want.
2. Click the Print Settings... button to enter the printer driver setup dialog.
3. [OK] out.
4. Print
This is reported to get the proper copy count into the print driver and make it "stick". I just tried it and it seems to work.
Keep in mind you may want to go through this again after printing to get the copy count to default back to 1 for the next print.

Problem printing frames and lines

Hi,
I have problems when printing frames and lines. As far as I know in reports created by WRITE statement. Frame characters aren't printed at all, I mean not even spaces and so all layout of page is corrupted. It changes even with format types what I don't understand.
Could you tell me basic concept of printing frames?
I think some of box_drawings_* characters are used.
I tried to change characters in character set used by device type of chosen output device. But I probably haven't done it right, because in comparing character sets it still compares values before my change.
What is proper way of changing character set?

What format are you using for your output?
Try using something other then HTML, Try HTMLCSS or PDF or RTF insead.
Simply set the DESFORMAT parameter to one of these values.

How do I see jpg and TIFF with same name

No flames, please. I have both, use both and I'm not about to change!
When I view a directory with a like-named file but with Tif and Jpg extensions, LR tells me tif+JPEG, but still only shows one. Can I show both?

The problem is the same as before with the exception that it will see pairs--jpeg + tiff or jpeg + raw and maybe it will see RAW + tiff with the same name. Didn't check.
For myself, and my colleagues, we have to be able to see Tiff,jpeg, Psd and RAW with the same alpanumeric name. That is an industry standard, and, of course, available in Bridge 2.1/ACR 4.1 and dozens of other apps as well.
So, our solution is Bridge 2.1, and that's fine, it has a better UI, is faster for workflow--though the new Library improvements have reduced that gap by about half--so, perhaps in the next version, this issue will be fixed--or perhaps not. If we didn't have Bridge, that might cut a bit deeper, but as it is, so what!
Mark Hamburg has given a good description of the implementation in another thread about RAW + JPEG. Suddenly, there is lots of Adobe official interaction--THAT's GOOG--but he would have saved a number of us a lot of waiting and involvment had he simply indicated the same name limitation long ago--obviously, this was not a last minute piece of code! Better late than never :)

Export schema and import with different name

I need to export a schema from a database and then import it with different name to another database. How can I do that?
I export it with the following command:

Now I want to import it but with different name (schma_name).

How do I print front and back with two pages per sheet? (OSX Lion)

I can't find a simple solution to my situation...
I'm using Max OSX Lion 10.7.3 and Adobe Reader X 10.1.2.
I want print two PDF pages onto one printed sheet, and I want to print front and back. When I go to the print settings and select two pages per printed sheet, the sample window shows me what I'm looking for. But when I tell it to print odd only or even only, it changes the print selection. Here's what happens...
Let's say I have a PDF document that is 20 pages long. When I tell it to print two PDF pages per sheet, it shows me that the first pages printed will be PDF pages 1 and 2. When I tell it that I want it to print odd pages only, it tells me that the first printed page will contain PDF pages 1 and 3.
In other words, Adobe Reader wants to print the odd PDF pages instead of the odd pages of the printed document (PDF pages 1 and 2, then 5 and 6, then 9 and 10, so on).
So that I'm being clear...
This [ ] is a printed page. The numbers inside the brackets represent the page numbers in the PDF document...
What I want to print is this...

Aside from telling it exactly which PDF page numbers to print (this would be a taxing job because I'm working with a 273 page document), is there an easy and simple way to print how I'd like?

I would suggest to use Adobe Ilustrator. Also I get an error message when I try tp access the sample document.
