Problems printing lines Acrobat 9 pro

I am trying to print some government forms that are generated by an Access 97 program ( I know old and I should get user off) But when we generated the forms in Acrobat 8 std all worked well.  Moved to Acrobat 9 pro and now lines are being dropped.  Form is NAFTA Certidicate of Origin and complex.

How are you creating the pdfs? If you are indeed printing to pdf, what joboptions file are you using now? What were you using before?

  • Printing Problems wtih Adobe Acrobat X Pro

I am having problems printing Adobe Acrobat X Pro forms.  When I try to print, information entered into text fields will not print.

Since it just appeared to happen with the latest update of Acrobat 10.1.2, can you check to see if it's related to any of these known issues?

  • Can't Print from Acrobat 9 Pro on windows 7 64bit....

I have a windows 7 64-bit computer that can't print to any printer from Acrobat 9 Pro.  When you try to print I get the following error:
"print driver host for 32 bit application has stopped working"
Any thoughts, it's driving me crazy....

I'm having the identical problem and the only way I can get it to work is by not trying to change the title suggested by Acrobat for the PDF.
If I try printing from Firefox and pasting in a new PDF title, it crashes Firefox.

  • Printing on acrobat 9 pro

I try to print on Acrobat 9 pro
I see the acrobat printer application is working
At the end, I have no file !
    pls help if you can

I've never had problems printing to postcript from Pages and going thru Adobe Acrobat for my pdf files....until Pages 09. You mentioned a "previous discussion;" can you point me to it? Is it as recent as 09?
I've been able to isolate the problem to certain pages objects, but doesn't seem to be any pattern. I've extracted the objects and re-saved them in Preview, inserted them and solved the problem, at least a time or two, but far too much work!
Wonder if re-installing iWorks09 might help?

  • PDF prints from Acrobat 8 Pro, but not from Acrobat 9 Pro

I have a PDF that prints fine when I print from Acrobat 8 Pro, but when I open the same PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro, only portions of each page actually print out.
All systems running Windows XP Pro, SP3
    A8P 8.1.2
    A9P 9.1.1
    Any ideas?

Well, for those following this thread or needing a solution, I found a work-around though I'm still not sure why the initial problem exists.
In Acrobat 9 Pro, once you have the main print dialogue box open, follow the steps below:
    1) Click ADVANCED
    2) Select PRINT AS IMAGE
    3) Set DPI to 300
    4) Click OK
    5) Make any other typical print setup adjustments as you normally would and finish printing as usual

  • Solution to the problem printing from Acrobat 9.4.2

Since there are nearly 200 posts in the original thread, It might be best (for those looking for a quick solution) to do this in a new thread.
The problem is that you cannot print to a network printer from Acrobat (pro) 9.4.2.  Printing to a local (USB) printer seems okay.
The solution (for us) was found at http://www.hypersensory.com/content/fix-printing-after-installing-adobe-acrobat-942-update
    The approach I tested was:
    [T]he fast and easy way:
1.) go to the installation directory of Acrobat (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat)
2.) Look for the file "Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest"
3.) Open it and delete the line <file name="atl.dll" />
4.) Reboot your machine after saving that file
This should fix the issue of being unable to print PDF file after installing 9.4.2 update for Adobe Acrobat.
With thanks to the folks at HyperSensory.com!  It works!

Could someone from Adobe respond to this specific issue so that we know we are being heard?  Will the fix for the print issue also resolve the 'attach to email' problem?  Is there any work around other than telling users to attach directly from their email programs?
Thanks in advance for your response to our concerns.

  • SLOW PRINTING to Acrobat 8 Pro from Office 2007 on OS Win 7 Pro after updating to 2.0-2.3 ...???

Everything worked fine for a while. Keeping machine updated and such. Yes have older version Acrobat Pro 8 and downloaded the update files and slowly working through updating. Now on version 2.3. I noticed before that version 3.0 and 3.1 were not allowing me to create pdfs via the Acrobat icon. At the time I could print via "print", but some Office programs were missing Acrobat ICON too.
Now, my problem: I can't print directly from Office. I can't print within Acrobat. It takes an extremely long, long time (longest wait was about 1/2 hour) to print just one page of text. I found that if I first print using Microsoft's XPS printer function (but only through Acrobat, again, not directly via the XPS print function), then I can easily convert that to a PDF. I've been in the habit of sending PDFs and not everyone is familiar with XPS, so don't want to send that type of file.
Can anyone help in determining why printing PDF is sooooo slow or not printing at all?
    Thanks.

  • Cannot print in Acrobat 9 Pro

    Hello,
I have been unable to print a single PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac. I am running OS 10.5.7 on a MacBook Pro.
When I do try to print, the document is spooled to the printer, and shows up in the queue as expected, but stops after a few moments. I am able to print PDFs with Preview, as well as various other non-PDF documents of course.
What can I do to fix this problem? I have reinstalled several times.
    thanks!

I hope you are not being bitten by the bug where you can not choose a printer in the page setup.
If not - in Page Setup click on  Format for: click the Any Printer and a Pop down list should show. Pick the printer you use and set page size. the click on top button Save Attributes: and click Save As Default.
If that don't work. Adobe either its a bug or Adobe is not aware Page Setup and Print are two different things. Page Setup set the default printer you usually want to use for an applications. And the choices in Printer are for choosing a printer for specific job if needed. For example say I usually use a LaserWriter that prints standard legal size or letter size paper. But say I want to use a Roll Printer that want to print 22" sheet for a particular job.
That's what the choices are for  in Print menu, you can switch to a specific Job.  if this is missing then altogether, then some designer must only use one printer for everything and see's no reason fot Page setup's use (pardon my small rant).
Now back to if it doesn't work. Try looking up your Printer on internet and look for a new driver and install or even download a fresh copy of the driver you have could be a little something off for Acrobat.
Here's the proper way to install:
Download the most current version of your print driver.
go to System's Printer Utility and open (make sure all applications are closed that use the printer).
delete the printer you downloaded the Driver for. Close Printer Utility.
    Install the driver downloaded.
Reopen Printer Utility and ask it to find your printer. when it shows up ina List click on it and save.
choose it as you Default printer for the entire Computer. This would be what it would default to, should you not be able to set one. quit after setting Default.
Now Re open Acrobat. If you can set in Page setup choose this printer and save as Default (for Acrobat). Now open your Pdf and Try printing. If this doesn't work I'll post something else to try.

  • Adobe PDF Printer missing (acrobat 9 pro, XP pro)

    Hi,
I searched the forums and found some similar problems, but not with my config, and, no solution.
I have installed Adobe Creative Suite CS4 to a new, clean system. It runs on WIN XP Pro. This installation includes Acrobat 9 pro.
Sadly, the printer is NOT in my printers list. I cannot print to PDF via file>print.
I tried help>repair in acrobat, but no difference. I also upgraded the newest versions of my adobe software via adobe updater.
Can anybody help me please? I don't want to install third party PDF writer, I paid for Adobe and I want to use it properly. Thank you

I checked it, and only RPC is listed. BTW I noticed, that now I am receiving worse PDF outputs from some settings like "High quality print" (from InDesign). Vectors are ugly and has edges. However, exporting to 2001x/1a is good. I am very disappointed :(

  • Gray becomes green when a Adobe 8.1.0 PDF is printed with Acrobat 9 Pro ...?

    Hello,
when the PDF file which was created with Adobe 8.1 is printed with Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro the gray is as it should be.
If the same file is printed to the same printer (same settings) with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on another Workstation in the same office the gray becomes kind of green.
I noticed the grayscale Option in the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro was set to Dot Gain 20% instead of Gray Gamma 2.2, so i changed it but the gray still gets printed as a green.
I really would appreciate any help!

    Martha:
Acrobat 9 installation is fraught with problems. All four writers who tried to install it at one customer location had problems getting the A'9 to work properly after installation -- and the problems were all slightly different.
And so too were the responses given by Adobe support. In one case A'Support recommended running a cleanup tool, in one case it insisted that the program should install with the same serial number as the Tech Comm Suite that putatively includes A'9, and in another case it simply "punted" and gave the I.T. folks a new, separate serial number to circumvent the otherwise unresolvable installation problems.
Apparently we can add sending people with A'9 problems to the FrameMaker forum to that list...
    Cheers & hope this helps,
    Riley

  • Font embedding problem PPT plugin Acrobat 9 Pro

    Hi,
having just updated to Acrobat 9 Pro I encounter a font embedding problem when using the PowerPoint plugin (PPT2007) to create a PDF of my presentation. I am working under Windows 7 (64Bit) and use fonts from Mathematica (Wolfram). The generated PDF shows problems displaying the fonts, indicating that they have not been embedded (although font embedding of these fonts is set in the options). The problem does not occur if I directly print to the PDF printer - here all Mathematica fonts are correctly embedded (but this has other disadvantages since videos/animations are not integrated). The problem seems to be specific to Acrobat 9 since under Acrobat 8 everything worked correctly as well.
    Any ideas/solutions for that issue?
    Thanks & best regards
    Ralf

Perhaps you may need to upgrade to version 9.2 (Acrobat support of Windows 7 begins at this dot release)?
    Be well...

  • Printing from Acrobat X Pro

I converted a web page to a pdf in Acrobat X pro. The result was two pages of text and a few uncomplicated images. I tried to print those two pages to a standard desktop printer. Acrobat then  proceeded to "flatten" the pages...whatever that means. Flattening of each page took approximately 4 minutes...so I had to wait 8 minutes before my two pages could actually be printed. I then decided I wanted an extra copy of the pages, asked Acrobat X to print them again. Instead of remembering the version it just created during the "flattening" process, it started all over and took another 8 minutes to flatten the two pages before printing.
How do I get acrobat to just print the document as a text page with images, like it always did in Acrobat 9? This is EXTREMELY frustrating and terribly inefficient. It's pretty useless for printing as it now operates, which is a big problem for me. And what is "flattening"??
    Thanks.
    Chick

OK, well no offense, but that's a odd response. I said that I have been running a dual Office 2010 and 2013 for over two years right along with Acrobat X Pro without problems. So telling me it is not compatible and that I should upgrade, is sort of a odd response.
However it may point to the possibility that I should be careful to save the DOCX in compatibility mode, which I might have been doing previously and then failed to do this time, over and over again.
I will test that theory out. So odd response or not, it may have given me a clue to solve the problem. But if it is solved, it will not be because I followed your advice.
    Best regards!

  • Problems with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

Last week I installed via Adobe Creative Cloud the new "Adobe Acrobat XI Pro" on my computer. After the installing I couldn´t open it, so I deinstalled it. I thought it is a problem of my computer. I tried to reinstall the software with the Adobe Application Manager, but it says that I allready installed it.. What can I do now?

I still have an Application Abode Installer manager. Inside this manager I just see, download and install all the adobe programs. After downloading and installing, there is an single folder for each program. Inside this folder is an uninstaller just for that single program. Finally I have 7 folders with 7 uninstallers for 7 programs. Everything works, exept the Acrobat XI Pro. I see all the program folders on my disc, exept the Acrobat XI Pro one (and there was the Uninstaller inside). It don´t exist an Application Folder for all the programs, just the Manager.

  • I have encountered the following problems with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro version 11.0.9 with OS X  "Yosemite" version 10.0.

    1. PDF files from the Internet can be opened but graphics do not appear. In place of the graphic the area is colored gray.
    2. I use an HP scanner to create PDF documents. I am unable to use Adobe Acrobat XI to scan from my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  Apple reports an error.  However, I can scan documents to PDF using an HP utility, however, these documents cannot be displayed  by Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and therefore, cannot be edited or used to create forms.  The documents can be displayed by Adobe Acrobat Reader.
These problems also existed under the previous OS X system “Maverick”. Please tell me that only a change in setting is required to be able to read and edit these documents created via scan or describe a usable work-around solution.

Point 1: try turning on "Show large images" in your preferences. In Acrobat for Windows, it's under the Page Display preferences. I'm not sure about OS X.
