Problems printing one photo multiple times on a single page

Im trying to print multiple photos on a page so as to not waste paper. I have a 4 X 6 photo and want to print 2, 3X3 photos on the page. If you follow the HELP directions which are
Choose FILE > Print, Select paper Size, in my case 4X6. click on customize, Click Settings button then choose "Multiple of the same photo per page"
The "Multiple photo per page" option is grayed out. After troubleshooting it appears the software is telling me that two 3X3 photos cant fit in a 4X6 inch wide space and wont let me try. I was able to get around the problem by printing two 2.9 inch photos.
The software should be friendlier - Allow me to print 2 photos that are a exact fit to the paper. If the photo needs to be adjusted the software should do the adjustments in the background.
If Im having a problem here Im sure others are too.

Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
Note that this is NOT a reporting path to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback to do that
No one but us users here - and I do not see a question in your post - just a rant and how you found a work around
Note that in general you DO NOT want software to change your specs - if you need a 3"x3" print you do not want the software to change it to 2.9" x 2.9" in the background - if it can not do what you requested then not doing it and having you adjust the request is the most appropriate path IMHO

  • To print one photo multiple times on a single page

    The title of my question is the title of the page in iPhoto 8 help.
    "To print one photo multiple times on a single page"
    It says (a bit shortened) 1. Select photo 2. Click print button 3. Select paper size 4. Select print size 5 Click Customize button 6 Click Settings button 7. Select "Multiple of same photo per page from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu. 8 Click OK 9 Click Print.
    I can not find the pop-up menu referred to in Step 7. There are two "settings" buttons - neither produce a Photos Per Page pop-up menu. Settings appears if you click a double arrow to the right in the lower margin but only deals with font issues and "Print Settings" does not offer such a pop-up.
    I am using Leopard on a PowerBook G4 and just bought and installed the newest iLife 8.
    Grateful for help.

    Arthur:
    When you click on the Customize button there will be a Setting button in the next window. Click on it and in the drop down window that comes up will be the option to print multiple photos of the same photo per page.
    Select that option and click OK. You'll get the spinning cursor for a few seconds as iPhoto creates the multiple copies on the page you selected. Be sure that the print size is small enough so that you can have multiple copies of it on the paper size you selected.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Can't print a photo multiple times on a single page

    I just installed iLife 8 and am trying to print one 3X5 photo multiple times on a single page. When I consulted the help menu in iPhoto, I found what I thought was the answer. When I followed the instructions, I hit a snag because I don't have the Photos Per Page pop-up menu it references. Any ideas on how I can do this to save paper?
    Here's what the help menu said:
    Printing one photo multiple times on a single page
    If you have a favorite photo you want to share with many people, you can print multiple copies of that photo on a single page.
    To print one photo multiple times on a single page
    Select the photo you want to print.
    Click the Print button.
    Select the paper size (such as letter-size or legal-size).
    Select the print size (such as 2 x 3 or 4 x 6).
    If you want to make the photo a custom size, select Custom.
    Click the Customize button.
    Click the Settings button.
    Select “Multiple of the same photo per page” from the Photos Per Page pop-up menu.
    iPhoto will zoom and crop the photo to fit the space available. To make a photo appear full-frame, Control-click the photo and choose “Fit Photo to Frame Size” from the menu that appears.
    Click OK.
    Click Print.

    Well don't I feel stupid! I just installed iLife '08 and assumed that it would tell me right away if I needed any updates. I found and installed the needed updates (7.1.1), I got the right settings drop down menu to print multiples on one page. Thanks for your help

  • Printing One Address Multiple Times

    Hi All,
    I am using the label format portion of Oracle Reports and I am trying to display/print one address multiple times based on the user's input. Is this possible? Any coding example would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.
    Michael James

    You could pass this value as a parameter to the report and add a where clause to the report that limited the numbers returned based on this parameter. This is essentially what Kevin's doing in his example (the reference to :copies_required).
    Incidentally, there's another way to do this without creating a new table of integers. You can get the same result by using the rownum pseudo column (as long as you have a table with at least as many rows as the number of times you want the address to repeat). You can then create one driving query:
    select rownum from table
    where rownum <= :number_of_copies
    and a detail query:
    select address from address_table
    Link these queries with a group link and generate a default layout. Delete any columns in the 'rownum' repeating frame and run - you should get the address repeated the number of times specified in :number_of_copies.
    Hope this helps,
    Danny

  • Printing one address multiple times on the same label sheet

    Does anyone know how to print the same address on all 20 labels of a label sheet. So far I can only figure out how to print 20 different addresses. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

    Greetings,
    That's not a feature of Address Book. You can do that with a program called pearLabelizer, which is free. If you want to print groups from Address Book, it pulls the information for you and prints the labels; if you just want to print one address onto multiple labels, you can type it in or paste it in from somewhere, select all the labels and then Print and it will be done for you.

  • Using iPhoto, I am unable to print same photo (4x6) twice on a single page.

    Downloaded photos from iPhone to my MacBook Pro. I wanted to get duplicates of the photos printed but there doesn't appear to be an option to print the same photo more than once on a page. Since I had multiple photos I was able to get around the problem by selecting 2 different photos and printing 2 separate pages (i.e. 1 each on each page), but I was printing 4x6 photos so I should be able to print same photo twice on a page.
    Any help or assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Yes - when you duplicate a photo you have to delete it when you no longer want it
    Yes - Windows and OS X have many differences - as do iPhoto and other programs - pretty much safe to say that every program is unique and has its own learning curve

  • Why does my iphone only send one picture multiple times when i select multiple photos to send?

    why does my iphone send one picture multiple times when i select multiple photos to send (via message or email)?

    Are you sending via Camera itself?
    That is, selecting a picture, then select forward link symbol from bottom left
    then select another picture,
    Each time make sure you see the blue check mark at bottom right of each selected picture.
    The number of " # Photos Selected" should be displayed at the top.
    Then select Mail or Message and transmit.

  • Is it possible to print more than one picture at a time on a single page and if so, how?

    is it possible to print more than one picture at a time on a single page and if so, how?

    Hi Rowegarth.
    HP Photo Creations offers several ways to print multiple photos on a page. Here's a link to some preset grids. If you don't have HP Photo Creations already, you'll be prompted to download the software. (It's a free download.)
    You could also start with a "Design Your Own" collage print with a white theme.
    This video shows some ways to print multiple photos in HP Photo Creations to make them easier to cut out:

    The beginning shows an older version of the software, but the second half (at 1:17) explains the grid settings.

  • How can I have use the same div ID multiple times on the same page?

    Okay so a problem I encounter a lot is that often times I want to use the same div ID several times on the same page. An example of this is when I'm creating table like designs.
    Let's say for instance I create a div ID called 'product-container'. I want to use 'product-container' multiple times on the same page but if I do this it is improper XHTML and will throw errors in any XHTML validator (you are only allowed to use a div ID once on any XHTML page in order for it to be standards compliant).
    Now the first option is that I could define 'product-container' in my CSS style sheet multiple times by doing something like this...
    #product-container {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-2 {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-3 {
         width: 300px;
    #product-container-4 {
         width: 300px;
    What you will see there however is that it seems pointless to define the same ID numerous times over (just adding a number on the end) when each ID is the exact same thing and has the exact same attributes.
    Now what I have noticed is that there are some sites out there who manage to have the same ID appear several times in the code but add a number to it just like above. The difference is that they only have one definition for 'product-cointainer' in their CSS document but in their actual XHTML code they have IDs for 'product-container' but with numbers on the end like 2,3,4,5, etc. It's almost as if JavaScript or some other code is automatically appending a number on the end of the ID so the validator won't consider the markup to be invalid, but yet it knows that it's using the same 'product-container' style that is contained in the CSS style sheet.
    I hope I explained this correctly. I'm just hoping to find a way that I can put the same div ID on a page multiple times without having to define it over and over again in my CSS.
    Any help is much appreciated!

    Because it seems like by using a class you can't make this position as
    well as you can by using an ID. Am I wrong?
    An ID name can be used only one time per page.  A class name can be used multiple times per page.
    .product {
    width: 300px;
    text-align:left;
    color: #FF0000
    border: 2px solid #666;

  • Is it really true that EA CC 2014 does NOT support multiple animations on a single page?

    My page has multiple animations that I have spent days designing, and now my developer is telling me we can only use one.
    Is this seriously true?  A lack of detail on this issue will surely drive me to use another product like Hype or Google...

    Hi,
    Please check this article, you can still use multiple composition on a single page, it is working on Edge CC214

  • Problems printing photoshop photos

    Recently I have developed issues printing photos from my machine.  The problems started when I installed my new Canon Pixma printer.  Photos would appear perfect on my monitors (which are regularly calibrated with a ColorMunki)  but when I would go to print them from lightroom they would appear very very dark.  I tried then printing from windows and had the same problem.  What is exceptionally strange is that, when I go to print from windows, the print preview actually shows the problem:
    The image (when printed for the first time) will apear properly in the print preview for maybe a second, and then suddenly go dark.
    The particularly odd thing is that his only seems to occur with photos produced with photoshop or lightroom.  As a test I printed two pictures I had recieved from an online newsletter.  One printed fine.  The other did not.  It turns out (by looking at the photo properties) one had been produced using photoshop, and the other had not.  I have attempted to turn off printer color management on the canon, but it had no effect.  I also now have the same problem when printing from the epson printer on my system.
    I am running Windows 7 64.  I have an Epson Artisan and Canon Pixma printer installed on my machine.  Previous to the problem I had the Epson and an HP photosmart.  I have been in contact with Canon customer support, and they seem unwilling to entertain the possibility that this is anything other than an Adobe issue.  Any thoughts?  I'm just about all out of ideas.
    Thanks in advance.

    I primarily print from one of three programs.  Lightroom and Window's photo viewer, and on occation PrintMaster (when printing a digital scrapbook).  The problem mostly occurs in Lightroom and Windows, though strangely printing from Printmaster even comes out slightly darker.  The screen grab from above is using the windows photo viewer.
    I have attempted upon printing to go into the print dialogue and disable any color correction:
    This has provided no change whatsoever as well.
    Again, the problem only occurs with photos produced by adobe software.  As an experiment I took a picture I took from the Renaissance Faire that I processed through Lightroom.  I then stuck that in PrintMaster and exported it.  I changed nothing.
    Here they are side by side:
    Here are the print results:
    The problem even occurs with photos not produced on my machine.  Canon sent a test photo for me to print.  A look in the properties showed it to be processed by Photoshop CS5.  Same results.  Overly dark.
    When printing from lightroom, I print with "managed by printer" selected.  In this case I have left the canon print settings at auto, manual with "driver driven" and these did not help.  Changing to manual with ICM set with an input profile of "Adobe RGB (1998)"  This print printed close, but was a little light.  I also tried disabling the driver settings again, took lightroom off the printer managed setting, and set lightroom to "Canon IJ Color Printer Profile 2005"   This produced the best print yet.
    However, the problem I'm having is that when printing from Windows Photo Viewer I STILL get that same darkening, not matter what I do to the print settings.   And the problem persists with the Epson printer as well.  So, I feel like I'm making progress, but there is still something messed up.   Idylically, I would like to be able to let the printer drivers do their thing, as I have in the past,  but something seems to be getting in their way.

  • Reply to "print one image 4 times/page"

    The original question was posted by pap0007, and then followed up on by "PRL Sean" who made very a very apt point. I wanted to echo it in that thread, but there are no "Reply" links or buttons, so I'm posting it here and referencing the original (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3271201#3271201).
    I'm just really curious why this isn't a feature in the print options yet. I've used the workaround for years, but I agree with PRL Sean when he says that clearly this functionality is in high demand.
    Print shops must be doing this all the time (heck, even photocopiers do this), and I find it hard to believe that they're taking the file and making three copies of same that they can then insert to the original and do "4 pages per sheet." I really wish Adobe would make this easier. No doubt there are tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of cases where somebody has a one-page doc (a flyer, for example) that they want to print multiple times on one sheet.
    I hope for all of our sakes, this happens soon.
