Problems purchasing music from new iTunes

Installed new iTunes, now some music only downloads the digital booklet for the album, and some single songs do not download. They do not show up in recent puchases, although they appear in my account as purchased.

I can individually re-download each song from the initial search page and then they show up. The "Report a Problem" button does not work on either the music receipt or from the accounts page.

What does download all mean on my purchased music from the iTunes Store app?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
BTW, are these all recent purchases (last 8 weeks or so) or does it affect older tracks also?

  • HT201272 why can't I re-download already purchased music from the itunes store?

why can't I re-download already purchased music from the itunes store?

What country are you in ? Re-downloading music isn't currently possible in all countries (the record companies need to agree to it for each country). If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, then if the tracks are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

  • Purchased music from multiple itunes accounts on the same computer

I mistakenly opened up two itune accounts and have purchased music using both accounts. The problem is that itunes won't let me download my purchased music from one of the accounts to my ipod. It will download all of the music from account "a" but none from account "b". Help please.

    Hey chawk32,
Just play the purchased content from account B in iTunes. That should make a authorization dialog box pop up. After authorizing the computer iTunes can transfer that data to the iPod.
You can also click store inside iTunes then authorize computer.

  • Purchasing Music From Foreign iTunes Stores

I had just recently discovered the option of "My Store" at the very bottom of iTunes which enables customers to view other iTunes stores all over the globe. When trying to purchase music from the Österreich iTunes store, I found I wasn't able to do so. I received an error message, as shown above, stating that I was only valid for purchases within the US iTunes store. My question is simple: Why are US iTunes customers not allowed to purchase items from foreign iTunes stores? I do know that you must register to one country in order to begin your iTunes experience (when you first download the program) but does that choice of a country really limit you to your range of music? Is this due to various licensing laws or problems with converting currency? Also, if customers are not allowed to purchase items from foreign stores, why are they allowed the option to view these stores? Answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Yes, it's all about copyright and licensing. Currency conversion isn't at issue. In order to purchase music from a particular store, you have to have 1) a valid billing address in the country and 2) a credit card billed to that address or purchase gift cards in that country. It is quite possible that one person could have valid residence and billing information for more than one country. My parents, for a long time, maintained residences in both the U.S. and Canada, so if the iTunes Store had been available, they could have had two accounts, one U.S. and one Canadian.
Yes, it seems at odds with our global economy but intellectual property law has really caught up to the twentieth century yet.

  • Purchasing music from UK iTunes site

Why can I not purchase music from the UK iTunes website? When I try I get bumped back to the US iTunes website. You offer music on the UK site that that is not available on the US site.

I am finding the same issue, only in complete reverse. I am trying to buy albums through iTunes, many of which are difficult to come by now - albums that were originally released on tape or LP.
The frustrating bit in particular is that the albums I wish to buy are available on the US iTunes Store, but not the UK iTunes Store, and they are by a British Band!! (Echo & The Bunnymen to be exact). For example, the album Ocean Rain is available on the US Store as an Import, yet cannot be found on the UK Store.
If the album was not on iTunes at all, that would be one thing, bt being about to see it and not allowed to purchase it, is most annoying. It's like being able to 'Look, but dont touch'

  • Transferring music from new itunes to iphone.

How do i transfer music from a new itunes to my iphone??
*i dont mind deleting my old songs

If you don't mind losing the music currently on your iphone then plug it in and sync it.
    Is it a new/different computer?
If so, make sure you have at least one contact and calendar entry in the computer so that you will get the option to merge that data when you first sync.

  • Is it possible to sync purchased music from the Itunes store to a non-Apple device?

I have a shuffle but my sister has a non-Apple MP3 player. How do I take music from my library that i purchased and add it to her non-apple mp3 player?

You would have to read the directions that came with the MP3 player to learn how to put music on it.

  • I have an ipod nano, and an HP laptop. I've purchased music from the itunes store, as well as down loaded most of my cd's to the library. My question is: how do I get all this music into my Samsung smart phone?

I've spent the last 6 months purchasing from the istore and downloading CD's to my library, in preparation for a 6000km cruiser trip on my motorcycle this summer. Only to find out that I cannot download from itunes to my Samsung smart phone. Does anyone know why, or does anyone know how? I called Mac tech support and they told me it cannot be done, I have to purchase an iphone. Please help, I've got 2000 songs for the trip and a bluetooth headset in my helmet. I own an ipod nano full of the same songs, but of course Mac made it so you cannot blue tooth a nano, so I have to use my phone.
    Thanks ahead of time!
PS  Keep your instructions rather simple though please, I'm 60 yrs old!

iTunes and Apple's devices work as an ecosystem. iTunes is designed to sync with Apple's products, not anyone else's. You'll need your songs in a format compatable with the Samsung phone and to use the software transfer program supplied/recommended. It is essentially not an Apple/iTunes problem. You may have better luck finding the information you need on Samsung's forums.

  • How do i purchase music from US itunes if im from UK?

I want to buy a single from the US itunes as it isnt available in the UK but it wont let me! it re-directs me to itunes UK but is isnt in the library. is there any way of getting it from the US site??

Jennifer, this question is answered & discussed, several times a week in the forums. This not Apple's fault. The record companies set up the rules when they contract with Apple. Apple would love to sell you whatever music you want from anywhere, the record companies are the one's who have made the "silly rules." Welcome to discussions! If you want a better explanation, please read the link I posted in my first post.

  • Can't transfer purchased music from iTunes to iPod

When I try to transfer purchased music from my Itunes music folder to my iPod, I get the following error message: "Some of the iTunes Store files in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because the iPod may only contain content from five iTunes Store accounts."
What I have done to try to address the problem: I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes, (it was only after this download, actually, that I began to have the problem) read the help article entitled "Some songs in iTunes won't copy to iPod", de-authorized and then re-authorized the computer (didn't work) and gone through my iPod to delete any songs that were on burned cds given to me by friends, which potentially originated from other iTunes accounts.
Perhaps I have overlooked something, but my iPod is only registered on three computers, and I am unable to transfer my purchased music to my iPod. Interestingly, I had no problem transfering my purchased songs onto my iPod before upgrading to the latest version of iTunes last month. It has only been since the upgrade that I can no longer transfer purchases. I subscribe to several podcasts through National Public Radio (free)-- could this be a factor?
Please help. I still have 19 GB of free space and if I can't transfer purchases, then it's kind of a waste of space. Thanks so much for your time~

    Greetings from Mancunia.
I am having a similar problem. After years of trouble free use, my 'pod is now giving me trouble, well the new iTunes software is, anyway. See here : http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=255305&tstart=0

  • Stolen laptop. recover purchased music from itunes?

I have recently had my laptop stolen along with my itunes libary. is there any way I can recover my "purchased" music from the itunes store?  not everything I purchased is on my ipod.

Was your backup copy of your computer stolen as well?
If not, then use it to put everything back.
You can also transfer itunes purchases from an ipod.  File>Transfer Purchases
If you are int the U.S., then you can use the newly released icloud beta.
Open itunes, go to itunes store.  Look under Quick Links.  Click Purchased.
