Problems purchasing on itunes

Every time I go to purchase something lately on itunes it prompts me to sign in. I do so, but it comes right back up. It doesn't tell me my password is wrong or anything, it just comes back up. I reset my password but it still does it. I can't buy anything.

You're right about the lack of support for Itunes. They say they will answer emails with support questions but its been over a week and I have yet to get a response. I was able to download a movie last night and thought the problem was resolved but am getting the same error message again today. You'd think Apple might want to resolve this as it as I am trying to spend money at the Itunes Store. This is an inconvenience, I don't understand why I have to contact the developer for a faulty product in your store.

You will need to contact iTunes support here, regarding this issue. They will usually respond within 24 hours.

What the message says. In iTunes g the the Store tab in ther upper part of the screen and then clink on Authorize this computer.

I also have a 4G ipod touch and a similar problem. Since I updated to the ios5 software any new songs I add to my iTunes don't sync to my ipod main playlist. They show up in the 'recently added' playlist, but not in the main 'songs' section. I fixed the problem once by restoring to factory settings and rather than reinstalling from a backup, I created a new ipod name and synced everything onto my ipod as if it was new.
This worked until the next new song I added and then the same problem started all over again. If you do reinstall everything as new, you may want to take a screen shot of where all your apps are and make sure all your photos etc are saved, as everything will be from scratch. Hope this helps!

As for question #2, you call tell how iTunes is sorting songs by the up or down arrow next to a header name.
Even the original order that the songs were entered or date added or last played can be sorted.
Much easier with a mouse or touch pad.

They don't normally appear in the download screen ... until I attempt to download another movie. Then they just start appearing. If you click edit - a normal movie download has a circle that appears on the left hand side that allows you to select and delete ... these movies don't have that option so you need to find the movie in you list (under movies) and select the download cloud symbol again to stop it downloading ...you may need to do this a number of times before it stops for a while ... or until you try to download a movie then it starts all over again.
i have logged out of my itunes account. restarted the iPad, removed all movies, restarted the iPad, logged back into my iTunes account and restarted my iPad .... but as soon as I tried to download a single movies ... the other movies started appearing in the downloads again.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

Go to Settings, Store, Apple ID, Sign out and then sign back in again and have another go.
Also, try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
