  • Problems receiving fillable forms back

    For participating in a summer sportsevent I made a fillable form in Acrobat Pro and exported this form as a Reader enabled form. This was send tot members to fill in their needs.
    Untill now about 50% of the fillable PDF forms had difficulties in sending back. The most common mistake was receiving the form as a blank form.
    Some forms I received as a scanned form, textmessage, as mentioned before as a blank form etc..
    What might have caused this. Can users only use Acrobat (reader) to fill the form?
    Do they first have to save the form to their harddisk > fill it in en then send back?
    Doesn't it work properly with mobile phones, tablets or non-acrobat PDF readers?
    In that case the next time I have to give clear instructions how to use and send this form back.

    I am piggy-backing on John's post.
    I have created fillable forms in the past and submitted them with NO issues, however last week 95% of the persons completing the form received the following error message when they tried to submit.
    Please help!
    Thanks...
    Also, the I'm getting TWO tracker trays as well as my OLD personal email is populated as the address to receive the form from instead of the work email.

  • Acrobat 9 no longer receiving submitted forms

    Hello,
    My response file stopped receiving forms overnight. I can fill out and submit an invoice with no errors, it even says "response succesfully submitted" but it does not show up on the responses file.
    The tracker is showing no errors. Anyone else having this problem or have any idea how to fix it? I am not trying to update to Acrobat X, or pay the rediculous $40 for a phone call.
    Thanks!

    Mine is doing the same thing...2 seperate forms, and on 9 and 10.  I'm not sure if there is some kind of server issue or something with Acrobat.com??

  • Forwarding JSP page through requestdispatcher problem in submiting form

    Hello everyone,
    I am very much new to servlet.
    My problem is somewhat this....
    when i am forwarding one JSP page by requestdispather , there is no problem.But after that when i am trying to submit one html form written inside the jsp page , the request is not submiting the jsp page rather it resides in the servlet.
    The code in servlet is
    RequestDispatcher rd =getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/applyConfirm.jsp");
    rd.forward(request,response);
    Now in (applyConfirm.jsp )jsp page one button is there , so when i will click that button the page has to be submitted.But its not submitting rather the request resides in the servlet.
    Dose someone will have any idea.
    Thanks in advance

    First check what sort of button you are using. It should be of "submit" type.
    Check the URL to witch URL it is submitting i.e. Action property in <FORM> tag.
    Make sure for the URLs in the client i.e HTML ex: href, action, and so on use the thumb rule of prefixing "<%=request.getContextPath()%>/" in your JSP or in servlet add it in the java code.
    This should solve the relative URL reference problem.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers.

  • Further problem with submitting forms

    I have a fillable pdf form which is submitted to an email address.  This works OK in Acrobat with the email program being opened and an email with attachment created.
    However, in Reader it gives an error message 'cannot launch program' and no email is created/sent.  If I have the email program already opened, this error message doesn't appear but no email is created.
    Any suggestions for a fix?

    Thanks.

    - this is the problem in your interactive form.. Look at the fields and label in yout form which it has TypeLabel. and try to change it to valid name or something

  • Error message received submitting form via email - "Acrobat cannot connect to the server"

    Some of my users are unable to submit form data.  The forms are set up to be submitted via email and only a few of the users are effected.  They have installed the latest versions of both Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
    "Acrobat cannot connect to the server, but will automatically submit your form once the server is online.  You can check tracker for the status of this submission."
    "You have already submitted the data on this form and it is waiting to be sent.  Further changes are not allowed until the prior data is sent."
    I know that this question has been asked before, but there has not been a response.  This is very frustrating.
    Thanks for any help or sugesstions.

    I have this exact same error, but also have not yet found a workaround.
    Only sporatic users get the error, and I've been unable to duplicate it from my machine.  I am on Adobe Reader v 10.1.2.
    Actually I can get around the error if I were to downgrade to Adobe v9, but that is a bandaid fix - not really a secure answer.

  • Problem with submitting form

    I have this plain HTML region that has a select box, something like :
    <select name="requestType" id="sdfsdf">
    <option value="01AX">Please select an option</option>
    <option id="1D" value="D">Upgrade / Enhancement</option>
    <option id="1E" value="E">BPR</option>
    <option id="1F" value="F">Ad-Hoc Piece of Work</option>
    </select>.
    when I submit the form, I get a 'File Not found' error. But when I make it a 'multiple select', I'm able to submit the form.
    <select multiple name="requestType" id="sdfsdf">
    <option value="01AX">Please select an option</option>
    <option id="1D" value="D">Upgrade / Enhancement</option>
    <option id="1E" value="E">BPR</option>
    <option id="1F" value="F">Ad-Hoc Piece of Work</option>
    </select>.
    any suggestions?

    Thanks for the response Vikas. Unfortunately due to the nature of our form, we need to use Javascript to display options - it is not easy for us to use HTML DB native components in this instance.
    Do you know if there is a workaround, or hidden tags that we can provide for the app server so that this will work?
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Problems with Submitting a Adobe Livecycle Designer 8.0 created Form after Update to Adobe Prof. 8.1

    Hi folks,
    can someone tell me, which problem is it? Forms created in Livecycle Designer 8.0 with Adobe Prof. 8.0 don't have problem with submitting, but with Adobe Prof. 8.1.
    Thanks for help or information in adv!

    Hello Mr Aandi Inston,
    thanks for your quick answer! My problem is the following: The functionality email submitting in Livecycle 8.0 created form under Adobe Prof. 8.1 is malfunction when you open the form in Adobe Reader 8.x. There are non error messages to able to locate the problem. When you click the submit button, nothing is happen. Forms created before update adobe prof. 8.0 to 8.1 didn't have problem like this.
    Normally, after clicking submit button ms outlook popup with suitable subject, attachment and so on. Executing the form in Adobe Prof. you wont have problem to submit form per email. Now I suppose that this problem is caused by updating???
    Why do I claim it? After failed testing the modified form based on dynamic interactive template form "Purchase Order.pdf" from Designer 8.0 under different windows os and ms office versions I tried to test the above-named template, the same problem you will get: email submitting is malfunction!
    I hope, my description will be detailed enough to you and I'm glad to hearing from you soon!

  • Why won't the responses file open when I receive a submitted form

    Hi all,  We have recently started to use Acrobat Pro X for editable pdfs.  When training was done (all work contained was created on our server) the responses file opened as it should when a submitted form was received.  Now trying to use these forms "live" the response file doesn't open.  The wording to double click the file and select the response file is in the body of the email of the submitted form but instead of the response file opening the form opens.  Anyone have any ideas??

    It does seem to be happening to all forms received.  We are using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create the editable pdfs.
    When you ask "being used to save the forms?"  do you mean from the person submitting the form back to me?   If that is the case then Acrobat X also.

  • Submitting Form Problems

    Hi everybody.
    I have a problem with my form. Its an user registration form,
    and you have to fill your information (name, email, etc). When i
    add validation to those fields, it works, but I need to add a 2
    <select> the first one have regions from my country, and the
    second one fills up with the cities of the selected region, I used
    spry data to do it, loading the information from XML and it works
    perfectly. Also the validation, if you don't select a region, or a
    city, the error messages that you can show with spry works.
    But when I click the submit button on the form, it wont
    submit, if I remove the validation of the 2 <select>, it
    submits. I don't know what is causing this problem.
    I hope you can help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Nop, that's is the only message I get in the console
    This is how I create the cells (dinamically)
    private HtmlInputText createCelda(String vValue, String vStyle,
                   String vTitle, String vId, boolean vscript, boolean isreadonly) {
              ccelda = new HtmlInputText();
              ccelda = (HtmlInputText) application
                        .createComponent(HtmlInputText.COMPONENT_TYPE);
              ValueExpression ve = application.getExpressionFactory()
                        .createValueExpression(fc.getELContext(), vValue, String.class);
              ccelda.setValueExpression("value", ve);
              ccelda.setStyleClass(vStyle);
              ccelda.setTitle(vTitle);
              ccelda.setId(vId);
              ccelda.setReadonly(isreadonly);
              if (vscript != false) {
                   ccelda.setOnkeydown(";return checkGrid(event, this.id);");
                   ccelda.setOnchange(";return changeValue(this.id);");
                   ccelda.setOnclick("this.select()");
              return ccelda;
    As I told first, this works great in tomcat 6, but now in tomcat 5.0.28 I get the error, when I try to submit the form.
    Thanks

  • Submitting Forms

    An individual submitted a form and then tried to resubmit the form with more information and was not able to.  Any ideas?  It was from the same email address and now the email button did not respond.

    Thanks Lucia.  I’ve received the form several other people without any problem.  Not sure what was going on with that particular person.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I appreciate your help.

  • Problems processing Acrobat forms with PHP

    It's a real simple script. All we do is have users fill out a
    form with information and it's sent to a php file on the server,
    which then sends an e-mail to the admin with the user's input then
    sends a thank you e-mail to the user. I used regular web forms
    using the post method with input tags. The php code recognized the
    values of regular htm forms, but we are converting all of our forms
    to PDF.
    I am having problems with Acrobat form submission. I tried
    sending the data using the http submit/post, but I cannot figure
    out how to stop it from displaying the user input inline (ie.
    name=nameaddress=addresscity=citystate=state). Our clients cannot
    receive e-mails with everything inline like that. I cannot send it
    using mailto: or by the default e-mail either because the clients
    cannot receive attachments.
    I heard that sending the form via xml and parsing it would
    work, but when I use the parser it needs the exact .xml file name
    and every time someone submits a form the file name changes.
    Does anyone know how to use the http submit method in acrobat
    and stop the text from displaying inline, how to parse the xml, or
    of any other ways that will make the text display correctly?

    Please post to the correct forums. At least 2 other
    duplicates of this post are also in the Connect forums, which are
    wholly unrelated to PDF topics.

  • Need help with receiving offline form in GP

    I'm new to GP and interactive forms on EP 7.0 SP15 and running into a problem with submitting an offline form and GP starting the process.   The examples were followed on how to set up the callable object with an interactive form.  I've got the form set up to be used as a standalone interactive form and starting a process upon completion.  I've selected the process which is active and completed the mapping.  Went through the steps to manage impersonalized interactive forms.  Downloaded the form, entered data and submit.  Get the message back that it was received successfully.  Went back and checked manage impersonalized... and can see that the form was returned.  Go back to Runtime and can't find the process listed anywhere.  Where is it going?  Is there a way to track it down?  Looked at Maintain queues and checked each queue, can't find anything with a timestamp around the time the last form was submitted.  Any ideas on how to figure this out would be appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Thanks for the reply! I was able to reset the field calculation order
