Problems recovering HP Stream 7 after installing Windows 10 TP

About a month ago I bought the HP Stream 7. Soon after receiving it, I installed Windows 10 TP, without first creating and saving a System Recovery Image on an external drive. While playing with Windows 10 TP, suddently the touch screen stopped working, as well as WLAN. The SD card is not recognized eiter (and I am unable to boot from it). I now can with Windows only when attaching an external USB keyboard. I am able to enter the BIOS (Power-Volume-Down).
I have been trying to revert to Windows 8.1, so far unsuccessful. I have tried the regular Windows recovery mechanisms - all fail. When booting from a USB 2.0 stick with Windows 8.1 32-bit install source attached to a bus-powered USB hub, I at least am able to boot, and I see that partition 4 is a recovery partition. Yet when mounting the partition (via DISKPART) in order to check for recovery images in the "Windows Images" folder I only get "Access denied".
Does anyone have advice on how to recover my HP Stream 7?

Yes, I don't think you can delete the partition with DISKPART, I think you should be able to delete all the partitions from the 8.1 installation GUI, select Advanced mode where it shows all the partitions? Delete them all and click Next and it should hopefully install to the clean disk. It works this way for Windows 10 at least. If this fails, you might also wipe the drive clean and install the latest version of 10 and then install the drivers from hp.com, I did that today and everything seems to be working well.
Also, FYI, it is not possible to boot from the micro SD slot, it apparently is not supported in the UEFI firmware.

I understand that you installed Windows 10 and that switchable graphics is not working for you. I am happy to help. Unfortunately this is not something that AMD can help with, as it is a customized driver for your notebook. Did you do the Windows 10 installation as an upgrade and if so which operating system did you upgrade from? The existing HP drivers can be found here: HP Pavilion g6-1004ev Notebook PC but they are for Windows 7 or 8 depending on your choices. You could try those and install it using compatibility mode and see if that works. How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10 - answers.microsoft.com Let me know if that works for you.

Having problems with Labview 7.0 after installing Windows XP Pro

After updating Windows XP Pro from Windows 98, my programs give me the following error:

I was able to uninstall 7.0 and reinstall it, but it still gave me the same error as described in the original post.

I need a way of removing 6.0 and 6.1 so that I can do a clean install of 7.0.

Problems with driver for network after installing windows.

Hi. I have recently installed Windows 7 on my mac pro (from ultimo 2012). I've used boot camp for the installation. However it did not install the driver for my network. How can I get the driver??

Problem with screen brightness P500 after installing Windows 10

I Installed Win 10 yesterday. I can't change the display brightness since then. I have the latest driver for display adaptor ,dated July 2015 , that has been installed by windows 10. I tried to install the older driver for display adaptor from Lenovo site. But, Windows 10 does not accept that. I appreciate if you can help me!

A lot of problems after installing Windows XP using Boot Camp on a Mac Book

I have been having a lot of problems after installing Windows XP Home Edition (2002).
For one, after installing Windows using Boot Camp with Mac OS X 10.5.1, I opened Windows on my Mac Book, inserted the Mac OS X Disk 1 as in the instructions and got the message: +"This package requires a newer version of the Windows installer. Do you want to update the version of the Windows Installer on your system?"+ When I clicked Yes (I had NO idea what it meant at the time), I got the message: "The required resource 'UPDATE' is missing" and the Installer quit.
How do I fix this problem?
Another problem I have is that there is no sound on the Windows XP, yet it works perfectly on Mac OS X. Is there any way to fix this problem?
A third problem I have is that I can't wirelessly connect to the internet using Window XP, yet I can on Mac OS X. I have no idea on how to fix this, and it's really messing with me. D:<
D: There are way too many problems, and I have a feeling there will be a lot more later on. Help....

Monitor calibration problems after installing windows 8.1

I have a hp envy m6-1105tx and right after installing windows 8.1 my monitor changed completely.
When i have a photo open in photoshop tones, colors luminosity, gamma etc are all wrong. Before i never had problems, when i looked at a photo in photoshop and i will see the photo on a different screen it would be basiclally identical but now the photo in photoshop is much different than the actual photo, and this doesn't apply only to photoshop but to everything. I already try to do the calibration through the control panel but it didn't improve the situation, is there a way to get the screen back to the way it was before?

I checked for an updated driver for the video, but there is none for Win 8.1. Therefore, I suggest installing the original driver for the video to see if it helps. It may be that it was corrupted during the update process.

Problems with safari after installing Windows 8

After installing Windows 8 , i can't access some websites in Safari
For example i can't login on Binck bank or a webshop
After fill the login details the program file runs , but the login screen remain and the login details diappaers and gone white.
This is on a few websites where i have to use login details but on others such as webmail acounts it works normal.
I have set up safari again and again without succes
What can i do to solve this?

Use IE, FireFox, or Chrome and see if the problem remains. My experience is that Safari has never worked well on Windows.

Problem after installing windows 8.1-THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

After installing Windows 8.1 in my Dell inspiron 15r SE, i have been noticing that before starting up every time it shows "an error occurred THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER check online for updates.......

My HP Pavilian m7050y & Monitor HP vs 19c keeps crashing after installing windows 7.
I knew there was a problem when I first installed windows, because the windows logo was not centered on the monitor after intial startups. I did adjust it a little by pressing auto/select on my monitor, and that helped with the centering a bit but it is not perfectly centered.
The screen goes blue and this is the message I get when it crashes and restarts.

Once windows is fully rebooted all pages, and the display look ok, until it crashes again. I searched for updated drivers on the HP and Windows site but could not find any. The one that is currently installed is called (Generic Pnp Monitor).

Did you run the Win 7 Upgrade Advisor to assure that your computer is compatible? There may be a problem with compatibility. Also, which version of Win 7 are you running; 32-bit or 64-bit?

NO SOUND AFTER INSTALLING WINDOWS 8.1

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to help. My sister has a compaq 58 laptop and after installing windows 8.1, now has no sound. The sound was there when 8.1 was installed but after logging off and logging back on again, the sound disappeared. We reinstalled windows 8.1 and same thing happened. We have run scans and got sound again but once again logging off and logging back on again, the sound disappeared, very frustrating.

Devina, This seems to be a common problem with Windows 8.1. It does not save a working state when logging off. I was afraid to touch my pc when the AUDIO was in a working state. However Microsoft logged me off with no fear and did not save the working state. What a great "glutware" corp. Having said that when the AUDIO is working it appears to work great! Sure wish HP/MICROSOFT could get their act together. Can you say "BASE BAND" , "DSP", "FIR" ETC. Well they think they know the fancy stuff. Now if they could just get it to function for normal people. Can you say "KISS".

D: Some of these problems may not be specifically "Application" related, but the top one mainly is. (in my views)

Is it possible that you installed Windows XPSP1 instead of the required SP2? If yes then that is cause of all of your issues listed in your post. You have no sound and you cannot connect wirelessly because you still have been unable to install the boot camp drivers when you inserted the leopard disk.
Please double check to see which version of windows XP did you install. Remember, you need windows XPSP2 for all this to work.
Now, in the event that you installed XPSP1 then you will need to get to the microsoft windows site on a different computer and burn the Service Pack 2 for windows XP on a CD. After that boot your apple mac to XP side and insert the Service Pack 2 disk and install the pack. After that, it will ask you to restart the computer which you must and then once fully booted into XP then insert the leopard CD again and see if takes and installs all the necessary drivers.
