Problems registering for online services
For goodness sakes, for the last week I've been trying to register for a new online account with my phone and I go through the whole form each time just to be told there are technical errors! Please sort it EE!
Hi ,
I'm really sorry to hear about this - let me see if I can help, or at least point you in the right direction. Have you tried clearing your cache or cookies on your browser? This may help. Alternatively, you could try registering on a different browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox) for example. Let me know if the above helps - if it doesn't, I'll see what I can do to help further. Cheers,
Titanium

Why does 'User not registered for online use' show up when I try to import a cd into itunes? None of the cd info shows up either.
Well, the format I upload from the camera is "video clip" or "video for Windows"...sometimes I've converted them to avi format, too. But as I said, it never even lets me get that far...I never get to even select a clip. As soon as I tell the program to "import/clip" it freezes up before I can even go to the folder that the clips are in. It has only begun to do this recently, and I'd never had any problems like this before. Last night I tried it again, and I clicked "open composition", and it froze when I did that too.
I'm not sure how much more specific I can be about the details of the clips, since I'm positive it has nothing to do with the clips themselves...I'm running Windows XP, though...Home Edition Service Pack 2, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz, with 504 MB of RAM. I have had the automatic updates turned on since I did my last reformat a couple of weeks ago. Could it have something to do with some kind of an update it may have done? -
I'm getting this error message: "User not registered for online use" when i'm trying to download music/ track names from a CD into ITunes on my Windows 8 PC. I'm registered and my itunes account/ appleID are all correct and working.
The ""not recognized for on-line use". error is associated with the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to look up and retrieve metadata for CDs. Some users have reported that this error occurs when trying to import from CD, subsequent to upgrading to version 12. A number of slightly different solutions have been reported (though all of a similar nature).
Try walking through the following steps - before starting you may have to enable hidden files and folders to be viewed - in Windows 7 / Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and search options, then on the View tab make sure that Show hidden files, folders and drives is selected. Without this you won't see the AppData folder in C:\Users\username\
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this doesn't work:
In iTunes, select Edit > Preferences and make a note (or take a screenshot) of your preferences settings in all relevant tabs
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following file:iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this second procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1.
If this one didn't work:
Exit iTunes
Check the following folders:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete any copies of the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
Again, if this procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1 of the second procedure. If you're still not able to retrieve CD info:
Exit iTunes
In Windows, select Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features. Find the entry for iTunes, right-click and select Repair.
When this process has finished, restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If none of these have worked (and almost everything I've seen suggests you should be OK by this point), you may have an issue with the installation and configuration of iTunes itself. If you have got this far, see turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for advice on how to remove and replace of all components of iTunes. -

Importing CDs into iTunes - User Not Registered For Online Use
I am on Windows 8.1 Pro using iTunes 12.0.1.26 and am trying import CDs into my iTunes library. When I insert a music CD in the album information and track names don't come in automatically. When I try to manually get the information, I get an "User not registered for online use" message.
Request if I can be provided with some assistance on this. Importing CDs was no problem until I updated to iTunes 12.0.1.26 yesterday morning.
Thanks.Same issue - windows 7. Worked fine yesterday - updated to iTunes 12 and now it is broken and I get the "user not registered for online use" ERROR. Seems like the latest "upgrade" broke GraceNote access.

Itunes 12 track names not found and user not registered for online use
I recently downloaded itunes 12, and now when I try to import a CD the track names or CD information is not found.... So when I click on options to Get Track Names....it tells me user is not registered for online use... I am running windows 7.
I have tried un-installing and re-installing - didn't work.
I have tried removing a file and then have it repaired... didn't work.
Any other ideas on how to solve this problem? You could try deleting the entire %appdata%/Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow folders in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.
I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...

I can't download track names in iTunes for Mac and get a "User not registered for online use" error
I have a Macbook Pro 13, OS X 10.9.5, and iTunes 12. When I rip a CD it says it can’t find the track names online. When I tell it manually to fetch them it says "User not registered for online use."
On my other Macbook it works fine...You need to delete two preferences files in your user library. The full instructions can be compiled from various posts in this topic: user not registered for online use I use an older Mac with easy access to the user library before Apple did a mother-knows-best move and hid it in recent OS versions.

I have a Creative Cloud account, so I have the desktop applications... why do I need to pay more to have Acrobat Pro access for my iOS devices (cloud access for Acrobat Pro) ?
Hi MacEarl,
You might need to know that subscriptions for Creative Cloud and Adobe online services are different.
What exactly is the trouble that is causing you and what do you wish?
Please let us know.

I'm installing Hyperion 11.1.1.3. I installed and configured Shared Services in server "sa02". I installed Essbase in "bd01" and registered fine to Shared Services. But, when I'm trying configure EAS (in "sa02"), it can't registered to Shared Services.
I have this error in $HYPERION_HOME/logs/config/configtool_err.log

Shared services is deployed into OAS and I can login good. Ldap is running.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
