Problems registering Photoshop CS6
I have recently purchased an electronic download of Photoshop CS6 from buytechsolutions.com and although I've managed to install the program in my computer, I've run into a problem when it comes to registering the product. I type in my e-mail address and password, click sign in and although the box starts to go grey and a swirling "loading" symbol appears in the bottom right corner, nothing else happens and eventually I have to use the task manager to close the box down as nothing else can be done with it.
I've had no problems signing in to the adobe website but I when I tried the option of registering the product online it said that my serial number is not valid even though it was perfectly accepted by the installing program.
Obviously, I am a bit worried now as it appears I only have 7 days to register or CS6 won't work properly! Is this perhaps an internet connection problem even though I can't see anything being wrong with my internet? This happens every time I click the sign in button so I don't know what else to do! Suggestions?

Problem with Photoshop CS6. If I open a file using Camera RAW
I have a new problem with Photoshop CS6. If I open a file using Camera RAW, and process it as usual, CS6 doesn't want to save it the way it used to. I don't know if I changed something by accident or not.
Here's what happens now: After opening from ACR to CS6 and completinhg all of my work, I choose "Save as..." The save as window opens showing the file name and format. The default format seems to be .PSD. I use the drop down to select .jpg. The file saves normally as a .jpg. When I go to close the image from, I get a new prompt asking, "Save changes to Adobe Photoshop document DSC_xxxx.NEF before closing?
I looked up at the file name in the bar above the work space and noticed that it does NOT change from "DSC_xxxx.NEF" to "DSC_xxxx.jpg" after I have saved the file as a .jpg,in my webesite but it always used to do that. This adds a few extra steps when closing a document and it really slows me down.
In fact, I wouldn't swear to this, but I think it used to save to .jpg by default, without me specifying this.
I don't see a setting in the preferences for what to use as the default file format for saving, so I don't know where to change it back.
Any ideas?

Problems installing Photoshop CS6 Extended
Hello to whoever is reading this - I have a problem installing Photoshop CS6 Extended (as you can guess from the title) due to the fact that I download a pre release version of it (not the beta) And I've looked everywhere on my laptop and I still can't install the trial even though I've deleted everything relevant to the pre release version, it can't be my normal version of Photoshop CS5 can it? It'sonly occured to the Photoshop CS6 Extended trial, all the other Creative Suite trials from Adobe Download Assisstant work.
Check the start page of this forum or the PS forum. There used to be special threads listed in teh yellow info boxes with info on how to resolve these issues.

Font / text edit problem in photoshop CS6
Hi there,
I have a strange text edit problem in Photoshop CS6 running on Mavericks.
Every time I use the text-tool in PS, write a sentence, mark it and change something like color, font size etc., the marked text vanishes.
I have to "undo" the last step and the changed text appears again.
Every time!
I have a clean installed CS6 with no plugins and no other than system fonts installed.
Everything on a new Mac Pro with OS X 10.9.5

You can use Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to check if there are any available.
Also, if you go to Help>System Info from within photoshop cs6, you can see the Photoshop Version in the top line.
You should be on version 13.0.6
See if turning off Dictation solves the issue.
Go to System Preferences ---> Dictation and Speech -----> select OFF radio button . -
Problem updating Photoshop CS6

What is causing problem updating Photoshop CS6 13.0 x64 Extended to version 13.0.5 (Error Code U44M2P7) on Mac running OS X 10.8,4? What is the solution?

USE THIS PROCEDURE:
FIRST BE CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL, PRE CLOUD, INSTALL DMG OR CD in case something goes badly.
THEN, DEACTIVATE YOUR RUNNING COPY OF PS6.
UNINSTALL THAT VERSION.
LOG ON TO CREATIVE CLOUD AND CLICK ON "APPS" DOWNLOAD PHOTOSHOP.
ONCE INSTALLED, OPEN IT AND GO TO HELP>update.WHEN THIS IS DONE YOU WILL HAVE VERSION 13.1.2

When I 'Place Image' in Photoshop, the following error msg comes up: 'A Problem with Photoshop CS6 has caused the program to stop working, close programme?'
Do I need to adjust my set-up to run this? The PC operates on a 32-bit system/Windows 6.You need to provide much more info: What files are you trying to place into what document? What are the document sizes, resolution, color mode etc.? Anything else we should know about? This could be a million things from color profile issues to color space mismatches to the files to be placed being damaged or badly structured or a importer module being broken. I recently uninstalled Adobe CS5 Premium Suite and I am currently using Adobe CS6 Premium Suite (both were on my iMac). Since uninstalling CS5, I now get a message when opening Photoshop CS6 that says "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop." I don't seem to have my original CS6 .dmg installation file. Can I download it from Adobe (just Photoshop)? I do have my original serial number saved.
The problem with that scenario is you have a suite serial number and you can't use it on a standalone Photoshop installer.

Problems with Photoshop CS6 Recognizing Multiple Graphics Cards
Hi,
I have a quad monitor setup with two graphics cards with the latest drivers downloaded today and installed directly off of the manufacturer's websites:
1) AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 4GB GDDR5
2) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB GDDR5
I have Photoshop CS6 64-bit (along with the rest of the Adobe Design and Web Premium) installed on my computer - which I uninstalled and reinstalled today also - and it's claiming that it has detected an error with my display driver. The Graphics Processor Settings box in Preferences is greyed out, and I've used the shift+ctrl+alt to reset preferences and check again to no avail. I've also set both of my graphics cards to turn on OpenGL Triple Buffering and to let the 3D application decide the image settings. Here's my system info, where you can see that the GPU sniffer crashed and that no video card is detected:

Are you using more than one video card?
Multiple video adapters can cause problems with GPU-accelerated or enabled features in Photoshop. It's best to connect two (or more) monitors into one video adapter. If you have to use more than one video adapter, make sure that they are the same make and model.
Otherwise, crashes and other problems can occur in Photoshop.
Note: Using more than one video adapter does not enhance Photoshop's performance. -
Arabic problem in photoshop CS6
Dear all,
I have problem for Arabic language supporting in photoshop CS6. Every time I am trying to type Arabic language I failed to do so. I need to type the language outside the photoshop and then copy and paste it there. Is there way to get another copy which supports Arabic language and has many good font?

Problems running Photoshop CS6 under OS 10.8 Mountain Lion
Since updating the OS from 10.6.7 to OS 10.8 on iMacs (21" and 24" Intel 2.4GHz) I have experienced problems running Photoshop. The app boots up fine and I can start a project as normal, but when I click on a tool to change it's usage I get the spinning beach ball, this lasts about 5 - 10 seconds and then the tool drop down menu appears. After this, I get the beach ball appearing every few minutes as I try to work, and the only way to get Photoshop running efficiently is to close it down and then restart.
Any ideas as to the cause? I've read on forums from both Adobe and Apple that apparently there are no compatibility issues between Mountain Lion and CS6 but I never had this problem previously under Snow Leopard.The next two remedial steps would be to reset all tools by right-clicking here:
and if that does not resolve the problem, reset Preferences;
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created. -

When I search the Adobe website for the update it says I must do the update from within the program - back to the U44M1I210 error every time :-( Can anyone please help me?
Could you please restart your machine and try installing this update again.

Problems with Photoshop cs6 tools
I just got Photoshop cs6, and I am probably at intermediate level in expertise. When I try to use the marquee tool, the lasso tool or the quick selection tool on an image, the image just goes black. I have to click back to "Open" on the History the get the actual image back. I have Windows 7 64 bit. I have never had this problem with other versions of Photoshop.
