  • Problem reinstalling Photoshop Elements 6

Following a problem with my computer I tried to reinstall Photoshop Elements 6 but without success. When I run the installation CD there is no SETUP. EXE file and I cannot find it. I tried the Adobe chat line but they refuse to help because it is PSE 6. They told me to bin it and buy the current version but I am not prepared to pay out any more money for  something which will itself become obsolete in a very short time.

The set-up file is usually located in the Photoshop Elements Folder on the disk. What do you see when you click on the disc icon and choose open - and then click on that folder. Is there any application file? It’s unlikely it could have been deleted.
If you can locate it and can copy the contents to the Desktop or My documents try this:
To install Photoshop Elements as an administrator:
Open the Photoshop Elements folder on the desktop or in documents (wherever you saved it).
Right-click the Setup.exe file and choose Properties.
On the Compatibility tab, select Run This Program As An Administrator in the Privilege Level section.
    Click OK.
Double-click the Setup.exe file, and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Problems reinstalling photoshop

Hi, I recently had my hard drive replaced. Since I got it back from the shop I tried to reinstall photoshop, but it's asking me for an administration password? I've tried every password I ever used and it's not recognising anything! Any ideas?

Does your administrator password work in doing other things? Is your capslock activated? Have you done something like change the keyboard setup since setting your password?

  • Problem reinstalling photoshop CS6 after a crash

My computer crashed last week. I had to change the motherboard and the main drive where software was installed.
when installing Cs6 from the original disk it says my serial number is correct but in my computer there is no valid product for this serial number.
The disk is the original one, the serial number is the one I have in my adobe account and in the back of the box
I cannot deactivate the previous installation as the trial version give you no access to this option.
I had a chat with support service but they were not able to help me and redirected me to a phone number.
    ¿Can someone help me?
    I am runing windows 7

Sounds like your problem isn't one of activation but of having Photoshop properly installed.
You may need to go through a reinstall or possibly a complete removal followed by a reinstall.

  • Problem reinstalling Adobe Premiere CS3 PRO

    Hello,
I had some issues with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I uninstalled it without deactivating it. I know, bad move. When I tried to reinstall it, I got an error of incomplete installation. I tried the Adobe Cloud Cleaner and the Microsoft cleaner and still can’t get it to reinstall? Am I out of luck? I am the original owner with the original CD’s. Any help on how I can reinstall this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

While there is a different forum for CS3 http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere/premierepro_previous?view=all you MAY also get help in http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup - but I don't think Adobe will help, only another user
I think these are all for newer products, but there also MAY be help in one of these

  • Problems reinstalling Photoshop CS3

    /message/1923469#1923469Hello,
I used system repair because PS had a problem (crashed after file open) and reinstalling didn't help.
This time I get an error starting PS CS3.
The error message is: The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall or call customer support.
If I want to reinstall from the cd, its starts fine, but doens't do anything.
If I start the setup from the cd, it does nothing.
I tried windows - software - remove/reinstall, but also nothing happens.
What can I do now? Is there a tool to remove PS? Please help

But when I use File - open,  I see the window (to select a picture) very briefly and then PS hangs. Clicking on Photoshop isn't possible.
This means a dialog box is off screen.
Press Escape to get out of it.
If the problem recurs try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776?tstart=0
You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

  • Reinstalling Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10

A couple of months after downloading Photoshop & Premier Elements 10, I had to uninstall the same to make some repairs to my laptop.  Now I would like to reinstall the same but I can't find the right site or instructions to do this.  Can someone help me, please?

If you have the serial key for Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10 with you, you can download the installer from the below link. Make sure to read the download instructions properly.

  • Problems reinstalling Photoshop Elements 8

I accidentally deleted something in Elements 8.  The program told me things were missing and I should reinstall the program. So, I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall it. It installs to about 7/8 of the way and then the disc is ejected and it says some elements are missing and installation has failed.  The analysis program has failed to find the error and I really need to complete the project I was working on! Can anyone help??

What analysis program did you use?  I would recommend running the Adobe Support Advisor.   Also did you receive any error messages when uninstalling Photoshop Elements 8?  Finally do you know what you originally deleted?

  • Having Problem Reinstalling Photoshop Elements 6.0.

When I was upgrading my computer to Windows 8, my friend recommended that I copy over all my files to a backup USB memory stick. When I did upgrade my computer to Windows 8, most of my files ended up being wiped off for some reason. I've managed to reinstall most of my files. However, I have no idea how to reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 from the files that are saved on my USB. Is there anyway that I can do this? I don't really want to have to buy a new version of Adobe Photoshop Elements as I only ever really use it for editing.

Unfortunately you need to have installation files to install the software on a different machine.  There is no download available for Elements 6, so if you do not have a disc version then you won't have much choice but to upgrade to a new version.

  • Problems Loading Photoshop  & Premiere Elements 11

I am having problems loading Elements 11 on my PC .It loads up and just near the end I get a message "Installing required shared technologies" then the program rolls back and askers to restart the PC.
I removed all old Adobe & other photo software and ran the adobe help thing .It gave this message "cpsid-82829s1 a restart is pending Bootstrapper error has occurred" .
Can someone HELP I've been trying to load this software for 3 days.

    Windows 8
If you go to the Desktop app, then to the File Explorer icon in its taskbar, then right click Computer to select Properties, what do you see for:
    Windows Edition
    and
    System
If you have Windows 8 64 bit, you should see that. If you have 32 bit Windows 8, the System reading should tell you that.
When you talk about software box are you referring to the box that the disc came packaged in.
If you have Windows 8 32 bit, then your Premiere Elements 11 will install as a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit compatibility mode of a 64 bit application and will have all the resource limitations of a 32 bit system. If you have Windows 8 64 bit, using that same installation disc, you should then have Premiere Elements 11 as a 64 bit application running of 64 bit system, capable of taking advantage of the 64 bit resources. Although I do not believe this to be linked to your Shared Technologies install issue, this detail should be clarified.
Have you read through all the varied fixes suggested for your type of problem. One of them will work. Which one for you is the question.
We will be watching for further developments.
    Thanks.
