Problems restoring my Mac to its factory settings. Please help?

I used the install discs to restore my computer, i was successfully restoring my computer, and after waiting an hour for it to be done, it says "there were errors installing the software, please try installing again." I only had the option to click close, and the computer ejected the disc, but then asked for me to put in the disc again and wouldnt allow me to quite the installer, I tried to shut down the computer, i even unplugged the cord but still every time i turned the computer back on it took me to the same page, I really have no idea what to do now, i tried installing it again, and the same exact thing happened!! please help!!

I'm not sure which OS's CD's you used, or how you went about restoring the computer, but here's a sure fire way to restore the computer. Take the main gray CD and pop it into your computer. Make sure it pops up in finder, then restart your computer. On startup, hold down the alt key. You should go to a gray screen where you will see your hard drive, Macintosh HD (unless you renamed it), and the OS disk. Click the disk to boot into it. Once there, select a language, and then on the top, under utilities, you should find everything you need! There are multiple ways to go about it (you could go under disk utility and select restore, ior you could redownload the OS on the disk)
