Problems Running Programs.

i have tried to download a file, saying 'For OS X 10.5.8', but it says cannot run in DOS mode, i know it says that when your trying to run a windows program, but its for OS X, so how is it still saying that?

Web developers have been know to make labeling or linking mistakes.
What is the file supposed to do? Can you give us a link?
If the file actually downloads but does not open, highlight the file and do command i to see what that shows for file type.
It's also possible that the file is only for Intel Macs runnig 10.5.8.
Let us know.

Problem running programs in Flash CS3

I'm a secondary school computer programming teacher with a frustrating problem.....
A student will write a program and run it. The result is perfect with no errors and it does exactly as it should.
If the student saves it, the program no longer displays in the run window.
If we copy and paste the code to a new file without making any changes and run it, it works perfectly again. If the student hands it in and I run it on my machine without changing things, it works perfectly.
There's something tied to a couple of my student's computer accounts that is making this happen. It happens on any computer they're logged in on.
Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Problems running program using Runtime.exec()

Hello everyone. I have a quick problem that perhaps someone can help me with... I'm trying to write a frontend for a command line program. I've found plenty of examples for using exec() to launch this program but I can't quite get the effect that I desire. The program itself launches it's own window (using a graphics library called SDL) but the user interacts with the program through the command prompt.
The problem that I'm having is that my InputStream thread does not seem to execute until I close the SDL window. I've tried about 10 different combinations of threading this application but nothing seems to work.
Below I've attached some sample code that I found here on the Sun site... The code does as I described before, the InputStream does not display any text until I close the SDL window.
Can anyone help out?

I'm pretty sure, because if you run the application without any parameters you don't get the SDL window, you just get a list of possible command line switches, that part works fine... It just seems that when the SDL window is open, the thread won't grab and display the individual lines until that window is closed, which will not work for my purposes...

It sounds like either your hard drive or the SATA cable that connects it to the motherboard are failing. This could be heat related in your case, which is why you see it after it runs awhile. You can take it to the Genius Bar for a free evaluation. If you decide to test it yourself, I usually suggest moving the hard drive to an external enclosure. If it works there for awhile, the cable is probably the issue.

No such hope. The alternative to testing is to review changes made to each version leading up to 14. This is spelled out in each version's Release Document. There are a lot of changes. Most will not affect your program. Each change is relatively well described, but your problem will be to decide if your program will be affected by the change.
Or, do nothing, hope like hell that nothing breaks, and have an up-to-date copy of your resume.
If someone came to me saying a program couldn't be tested, I'd have serious concerns for that person's future.

Many problems. Programs won't mount and fan runs a lot

Ever since I installed my Ipod shuffle I have had all kinds of problems. I doubt that has anything to do with it. Sometimes my computer will go to sleep and the fan will just run like crazy. The computer won't wake up. The only way is to reboot. I also have a problem with programs not opening but in the program bar they have the arrow. Then they won't close unless I reboot. The other problem is that downloaded programs won't mount and therefore won't open. When I double click it says program failed to mount? Any ideas?

Before doing an Archive and Install as MGW suggested, I would try the following first:
Except for your keyboard & mouse, disconnect all devices from your computer...........
Run disk repair & permissions directly from your Tiger DVD.
I would also suggest that you consider updating your OS & updating and/or downloading anything else your computer needs by using your Software Update control panel.
If you do the above, you will need to repair permissions after each installation.
By any chance do you have DiskWarrior, Techtool Pro or Drive Genius?

I'm sorry but, I find this hard to believe. Like MGW already stated, Apple should have offered you a replacement as you were entitled to one under your "standard" one year warranty with Apple.

Does this program have problems running under Parallels / XP ?

I have no problem running this same program under Windows 7, but just tried running it under Parallels/Windows XP. I imported a Photoshop file and I get the "file not found" images for my layers and then when I try to run it for the heck of it, I get an error. This is what it all looks like:

First if you don't have Windows on your machine UnInstall the Virus Software, you don't need it.
You really didn't need to reinstall the OS the problem is with the Software, Word, and Chrome.
After you downloaded Mavericks the software didn't work because the developers of both Word, and Chrome have not updated there software to be compatible with the new Operating System. You will need to keep checking with both of there web sites and there support or downloads to see when they will offer a fix for there software. It is not the fault of Mavericks it is the Software.

Problem with permissions, running programs and installing programs.

I've been having trouble installing and running programs. Whenever I try to install a new program I have to make sure to right-click and select "Run as Administrator", which is something that didn't happen before. And while running programs, sometimes
they don't work well (i.e. dropbox alerts me that it cannot run because of permission issues; calibre needs to run with Administrator level, otherwise it won't open my ebooks; the list goes on).
I tried using the elevated command prompt and typin secedit
/configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose to reset the permission settings, and it does not work (it tells me that some ignorable warnings occured).
There's only one account in this machine and it has administrator level.
Any thoughts?

1. First of all, it is a bad habit to work with administrator account only. Use standard user account where programs allows for it.
2. For third party programs contact respective support/forums. Some programs are not written in right way and may need admin account. I would avoid such programs.
3. Elevated rights (Run as Administrator) is natural enhancement that comes with Windows version 6.x
4. If you want to play risky role, disable UAC (not recommended). Step-by-step is here:

Hi,
We have had the same problem in a non-express application
with a heavy server partition. In our case, the error was not
systematic, depending on the server workload at the time we
tried to partition and run.
The work-around we're using is to put the -fm flags (increasing the x
parameter to say 30000) in the 'server arguments' of your server
partition
properties in the partition workshop. Note that if your server is a Unix
platform,
you need to put double-quotes before and after the parenthesis in the -fm
syntax.

Payment Run Programe Issue Duplicate Enrty in REGUH & REGUP

I am facing a problem in F-58 transaction, I have developed customized Cheque format in Smartforms, and I customized the standard payment run program RFFOUS_C to ZRFFOU_C, when I payment with F-58 my predefine format will be printout, it is working fine but some time payment tables(REGUH & REGUP) have duplicate the payment Item anybody have some idea or solution whatu2019s goes wrong. The field LAUFI (additional identification) is used to distinguish between several runs with the same reconciliation key date. You can freely define the identification.So multiple entries are result of multiple runs.

Payment Run Program (FPY1)

Hello Experts,
I am trying to understand payment run process (FPY1) and outbound direct debit file generation using standard transactions. We are using NACHA defined ACH format (which is a standard format used by US based banks). I found below event Modules for Payment Medium Formats: FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_00, FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_20, FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_30, FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_40. Unfortunately I am not able to determine their usefulness.
As per my understanding FPY1 updates DPAYH table and then run program "SAPFKPY3" to generate a file but then whats the use of function modules mentioned above?
Also, when I ran "SAPFKPY3" it generated message saying "Format ACH: No payment mediums created - No payment media were created for payment group 0 for format ACH." I am damn sure I am missing something, but don't know what.
Any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks.

The FMs that you have mentioned in your post are used to create the ACH format file that is send to the banks.
FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_20-For File Header
FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_30-For Batch header
FKK_PAYMEDIUM_ACH_40-For Payment Details
You can view these FMs by going to Transaction Code-FQP3. Select in the ACH format and clicking on "Event Module for Payment medium formats.
So, the ACH file that gets created during the FPY1 run is actually done by the standard program SAPFKPY3 with the help of these preconfigured FM's linked to the ACH payment medium format.
Now to the error that you are getting.Firstly Check whether the payment proposal list is getting generated or not.
If the payment proposal is not there, then there is some basic problem in the configuration settings.
(a) Check the company code for which you are running the FPY1 run, is the Payment medium linked with that in the config.

(a) Check the FM's are linked to the ACH format in FQP3.
(b) Note 1064779 also involves some manual activities to be performed apart from the code changes.
The manual activites are as follows and has to be perfomed one after another.

Cannot write the suitable source codes for running program

I want to write a program that help student to compile program and run program by using some test cases. For the compiled part, i have been wrote it successfully, but for the run part, i cannot pass the test cases to the program for running. Just a guess, but could be (without seeing the error) that you've already closed the TestCaseBuf reader by closing the result set, hence when you go to read it, you're reading on closed reader.
Give this a go...Put the // code into the result set while loop

SCCM 2012 - Problems running vbscript or simple command line

Hey everybody, I'm having a heck of a time trying to get SCCM 2012 to deploy some very simple Vbscripts or even a simple command line. I need to deploy some registry fixes across the company as well as a Vbscript that uninstalls some old applications.
If I run these scripts/commands outside of SCCM everything works fine, inside of SCCM it always shows "succeeded" but it doesn't actually run correct on the client.
What's confusing to me is the use of distribution points when you're running a command line that doesn't actually have any source files. For instance this is what I'm trying to run "regedit /s \\servername\folder\registryfix.reg". I've also tried
a similar bat file as well with the same result. I've tried it with a source folder specified, I've tried it using Run Program From Server or Download locally. I've gone through everything I can think of but can't get it to work.
Similarly with a vbscript I'm trying "cscript.exe /s \\servername\folder\uninstallapps.wsf" and various different settings in the package deployment.
I'm really confused here guys so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What I have found is that if you try and run the REG.EXE command line directly, either as a program or via a CMD/BAT file, the 64-bit redirection will occur. So, if you had something like this in a program or via a CMD/BAT file that ran against a 64-bit
system:
REG ADD HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Test /v Test /d Test
You would end up with this registry entry existing under:
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Test
That's because SCCM uses the 32-bit launcher to take care of this and redirection occurs - You can see this via the "CCM32BitLauncher.log" on the client.
To work around this problem, I have done the following:
On a reference machine, create/export the registry entry I want into a *.reg file - An example export of "Test.reg" for the above mentioned registry entry would look something like this:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Test]
"Test"="Test"
2. Stick our "Test.reg" file in a source share, create a package with the share as the source content, and distribute it
3. Create a program for the package with a command line like this:

This is obviously not as clean as having a command line with a package to distribute, but I find it works fine for me and gets around the redirection for registry entries.

Can FTP-access to field point log file interrupt the running program?
We have a problem where our factory process control program on a Field Pointer suddenly stops the process. We are running the development system on a PC, wich deploys the program on the Field point, with user interface on the PC. Quite often the process stops for no apparent reason. I'm not sure right now if the control program on the Field Point is still running or if it stops. We use FTP from a distant PC (over VPN) directly to the Field Point to check if the process is running, by looking for date and size of log files produced during running process. I've never opened och copied any log file during process run, because this I'm sure this would cause problems for new log entries to be written. But can the mere looking at the log folder via XP-pros ftp-functionality cause the Field Point to have problems writing data to a log file?
I'm not sure how windows XP pro handles "my network places" when it comes to FTP, it look that it keeps some kind of local copy of the folders, or at least the files opened.
Next version of the program will have only basic functionality on the Field Point, leaving logging etc. to another program on the PC, but right now we are stuck with this system.
