I can receive e'mails but get this message whenever I try and send a message.  I have checked through my e'mail account settings and everything looks as it should.

  • HT4864 Can you use Windows Live Mail to send/recieve iCloud email and share contacts or can I just use iCloud email on my PC without use Live Mail?

Can you use Windows Live Mail to send/recieve iCloud email and share contacts or can I just use iCloud email on my PC without use Live Mail? I want to use one email adress, one contact list and one calendar. I want to be able to have access to all this on my iphone and pc.

You can only use Mail, contacts and calendars will not work, for that you need Outlook.

    Hello Edwards
For issues with sending a receiving email on your Mac, then check out the article below to help resolve it. • I use windows live mail and cannot seem to sync my address book with theiPad

I use windows live mail, but i can never sync my address book ( contacts ) with the iPAD.
Can I ??? or how to i export my contact list to iPAD

I have big problems with windows live mail all the time and I know my password but it wouldn't let me log on. It was a nightmare when I tried to get Xbox live. :(

  • Should I use Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express ...

I have always used Windows Live Mail, as it is a very simple and pleasant program to use - great graphics, interface and reminders.
I found Outlook way too fiddly and technical, with a very boring interface and comparatively poor reminders that email has arrived.
However, since getting my E71 setup with Nokia Messaging, I have overcome this for the sake of being able to sync my contacts and messages - Outlook 2007 is now set as my default browser.
This was ok, but now when I use Windows Live Messenger I get email reminders up - and clicking on those takes me into Windows Live Mail.
I just want one, streamlined email/messenger service - one of these email managers must be deleted!
    - Can I sync my E71 into Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook?
    OR
    - Can I replace Windows Live Mail with Outlook 2007, as the email manager used by Windows Live Messenger to open emails?
I want everything done with one email browser!

You can use iCloud Mail with Windows Live Mail, but not Calendars or Contacts.
If you want to use iCloud on Windows download EMClient, you can access the core services (Mail, Calendars and Contacts) using it. Installation and configuration will be manual.

  • Set up e mail to windows live mail

I have set up my e mail to Windows Live mail, when i send e mails it comes u with 'Server does not support ssl connection'. I have read a few other sites and says change the outgoing mail port from 25 to 465, i have done this and can now send, is this the corrct port numbers for BT. When i log in with live mail i then says 'The server you are connected to is using a security cetificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server?' I clock yes and my e mail gets sent. ANybody have any ideas?

If you have an Anti-Virus Application that scans incoming & outgoing emails you probably also need to check out that Application's setup instructions.

  • Trouble signing into e-mail with Windows Live Mail?

Organizer says in e-mail setup to recheck your sign on and or password. I've been using same for years and it's correct.  I use Windows Live Mail threw my service provider and their SMTP port is 25 and that's the only one they use.  On setup I used "OTHER" and wrote in Windows Live Mail in the blank.   How do you setup port 465 & 587 on my firewall which is microsoft firewall.  I already setup Adobe Photo essentials to be alowed through fire wall?  I'm lost and not a programer!!!

Tried both deleting the account and re setting it up again and tried accessing it through my sons PC with the same results.
    E mail 1 says
    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] (#MBR1213) Please verify your account by going to https://login.yahoo.com
    Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92

    E mail 2 and 3 work fine !!!!

  • Intranet email with apple mail and windows live mail on LAN

i have a home wifi network and have two computers using it. one is my macbook and other is my toshiba vista laptop. now my bro and i often exchange emails. he uses windows live mail and i use apple mail. since we are on a slow internet connection with limited data usage per month i was wondering if we could email each other directly over our wifi LAN network without having to use our ISP. i know that we wont be able to use our gmail, yahoo or hotmail or other such internet based IDs but maybe we can make a LAN based ID and exchange emails.
    any suggestions?

There's no practical, simple way to do that as far as I know. Apple Mail, like virtually every other mail program is only able to communicate with a mail server, not with another such program.
You would either need to set up a mail server on your LAN (not a trivial task) or you'd have to find a "peer-to-peer" email program and I'm not aware of any such application. Furthermore, in your situation, it would have to be cross-platform (Windows and Mac).
In more technical terms, the email programs we all use are "Mail User Agents" (MUA). An MUA has to communicate with a "Mail Transfer Agent" (MTA), i.e. the email server. An MUA has NO way to communicate directly with another MUA.

  • ICloud Mail on Windows Live Mail 2012

    Hi.
I have recently bought a new PC as my old one was showing its age (it was 6 years old). On my old PC (running Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit), I had no issues running iCloud Mail inside Windows Live Mail 2012 using IMAP in the few years
However, for some reason, I keep getting the following error on my new machine (Windows 7 Pro 64Bit):
Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.
    Configuration:
       Account: iCloud (xxxx)
       Server: imap.mail.me.com
       Username: [email protected]
       Protocol: IMAP
       Port: 993
       Secure(SSL): 1
       Code: 800ccc0f
I copied the whole Windows Live Mail email folder onto the new PC, and all the settings for my iCloud were imported, and worked out of the box (apart from the above issue). All the port/server information seems to work as expected, along with the other settings.
Is there a way I can try and get to the bottom of this issue? The error suggests an issue with memory, and I am running Win 7 Pro on a Core i7 Quad Core Processor with 4GB of RAM, and Im nowhere near this on general browsing.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Try running IE9 w/o Add ons.  Let me know if it works for you.

  • Can't send or receive emails using Windows Live Mail. Webmail login says "account disabled."

Since yesterday we have not been able to access our Verizon email through Windows Live Mail or loging on to the webmail service.  Nothing happens and we get a "accounts disabled" message.  I checked all of the POP settings and it won't connect.  When we try to log in to the verizon webmail service, it says our accounts have been disabled.  Please tell us what is going on. I've chatted with a representative and am speaking to one on the phone and they can't tell me why it's disabled or how they can enable it again.

Ok, now they're telling us that one of our email accounts is associated with someone in Texas.  But we're from California and have always lived here.

  • VERY SENSITIVE TOUCHPAD CAUSING PROBLEMS WHEN TYPING MESSAGESS IN WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

The laptop was recently purchased new. Windows Live Mail was installed and a mouse is used.
In respondng to an email, new email or typing a message in a forum setting such as this, the entire text would disappear which was often before a complete sentance could be typed and could not be retrieved. This process would repeat itself over and over again.
A technical representative from the company that sold the laptop concluded that combined with a very sensitive touchpad,
a moving cursor arrow, shadow from the typing hand and lightly brushing the touchpad with the typing hand either singularly or in any combination were the likely causes of the problem. He then, using the software in the laptop, deactivated the tap function in the touchpad leaving all other functions in the touchpad in place.  This resolved the problem.
      -  Is there a device or software in the laptop that adjusts the sensitivity of the touchpad so that the tap function can be restored?
       - Is it possible that the combination of Windows 8.1 and Windows LIve Mail  is really the problem  and if so, how is this  determined and if necessary resolved?
-Is there a hardware / software malfunction in the laptop causing this problem?
Any advice and comments would be appreciated
