  • I am unable to send photos from iphoto via email as an attachment to be downloaded onto another computer.  i thought e-mail would automatically pick up these photos if mailed out so they could be downloaded.

At one time I was able to send photos from i photo library and I assumed the receiver could open these and download them into their apple computer (family).
I have tried to send photos from library or folder as attachment but I am also unable to do this.  How do I send pictures as e-mail attachments which can be opened up and downloaded to another computer?

I've managed to sort out my own problem!!  Shall write it down in case there are others out there who have a similar problem.   With iPhoto open, click on iPhoto on the top menu bar.  Click on preferences.  Then click on account.  This let me change the details such as the user name and password.  Luckily I played around with a couple of my usual passwords, and found one that worked.  Have now written it down!!!!

  • HT201401 i have been able to send photos from phone to email until recently, why not now?

Why can I not send photos from phone to an email address? I could until recently.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

  • Problems sending photos from iPhone 5 to non-iPhones

I have found that I cannot text a photo from the photo app in my iPhones 5 to an Android phone. The message and photo appear in the message app as failed to send. However, if I cut and paste the photo into the message app it sends the message and it is received with no problem. It looks to me like there is a bug in the software.  Anyone else had this problem?

This is probably an issue with the person's contact. Try temporarily writing down their contact details, and then delete the person's contact, and try sending it again. Since you can send the message if you copy and paste, it is not likely to be an issue with the actually MMS message, this is probably a problem with your contacts. Make sure that their phone number in their contact has a full area code, like 1(702)###-###

  • Problems sending photos from iPhone to iPhoto

My iPhone stopped sending photos to my iPhoto (Photo Stream).  I thought it might be because I reached the maximum 1000 photos on the stream.  So, I deleted the 1000 photos.  But, then the rest of the photos still would't download.  How can I manually tell my photo stream that I want to stream the rest of the photos to iPhoto?  I tried selecting the photos that didn't go across and selecting a new photo stream, but that didn't work.  Any ideas?

No need to double post.  See https://discussions.apple.com/message/18389607#18389607.

  • Automator problem - Send text from file to email

Hi all, I used automator on OsX 10.6 to send automatically the text within an HTML file to an email and then to a list of addresses. I installed 10.7 and now the thing doesn't work anymore.
I did a couple of tests and it looks like the text taken from the file doesn't pass to the email body. Do you have any clue on how to do this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Print the whole stack trace. It will tell you the line which causes the error. How you use clob and blob in oracle is also version dependent. Try to google for
oracle "your version" java clob example.

  • UNABLE TO SEND PHOTOS FROM IPHOTO VIA EMAIL

I have OSX Mountain Lion  10.8.3, and IPhoto 11.  Until recently I have been able to share pictures via email directly from IPhoto.  All of a sudden I get the error message "username and password not recognized."  I have Verizon FIOS.  I tried all of the suggestions in previous discussion and none seem to work.  I tried changing the ports suggested. deleting and reentering all the pertinent data, checking and unchecking SSL  The port on my email account is 110 and on IPhoto it is 587.  I tried matching them but nothing seems to work.  The user name and password have not changed and I know them.   I have doubled check everything I can think of.   I think it worked fine before IPhoto 11.  It has just changed all of a sudden.  I am really flabbergasted.  Please help.

Since you've tried all the fixes already what's left is to set Mail as your email client in iPhoto's General preference pane and use it.  If you want fancy layouts you can use the photo stationary layouts that are available in Mail:
Using Mail as your client will also give you a Sent copy.

  • Problem sending files from Pages via email

I am using a Yahoo business mail account. All other emails send just fine using Mail. When I try and send a document out of Pages, it brings up the compose new mail fine and it makes the "whoosh" noise indicating that it's been sent. The recipient doesn't receive it, and it doesn't show up in my "sent items" folder. I tried to send using both wifi and 3G for interest's sake, and neither works.
I'm not sure what to try to fix this, or if it's a limitation of the SMTP server, or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated - my iPad Pages is gimped without the ability to share documents by email...

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
iWork documents are packages, a special type of folder. Even though with iWork '09 & iWork for iPad they no longer appear as packages, they still are. On a Mac right-click on the file & look for show package contents. If that option is not there it is a "flat-file" but it can still be unzipped.
Anyone with Stuffit Expander installed with default settings & who saves Pages files to the Desktop will find folders instead of just the document. This is because Stuffit "sees" the file for what it really is, a package. You can check for yourself by changing the extension from .pages to .zip & unzip the file. You can't e-mail a folder which is why many mail clients balk. Apple Mail will automatically zip a folder, other e-mail clients don't, especially web-based e-mail. I think you may be mailing as a Pages document rather than Word or PDF.

  • Problem sending photos from iPhone.

I am rying to send pictures to my personal home and work email accounts and get a "rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying" message.

After talking with my e-mail service provider I understood some more configurations, which might help you to help me:
    SMTP Settings:
    Authentication method: encrypted password
    Connection Security: STARTTLS
How can I copy these settings into my iPhone 5S? In Authetication there's only the following options:
Password, MD5 challenge-response, HTTP MD5 Digest and NTLM...
    Thank you!
    Best regards,

  • Sending photos from phone to pix place

Before this recent update, I had no problem sending photos from my droid X to the online album storate at Pix Place. Now since the update, I have not been able how to send the photos.  Online album is not even a choice.

This appears to be a issue with other devices, the update may not be the problem...  Read about it at http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-DROID-2-by-Motorola/how-can-I-transfer-pics-on-droid-to-pix-place/td-p/301776

  • Problem sending photos by Email.  Received a response from T. Devlin.  Did not solve problem.  I had already done what he suggested.

I had already entered my Email info under preferences.
The screen comes up with the photos I want to send.
I type my message and hit Send.  The blue bar appears "Sending".
However,  don't know where the photos go, they don't reach destination.
I tried sending to myself at another Email address - they didn't arrive, and they are not shown under Sent Emails either.
    How to resolve?
Tried to respond to T. Devlin - but that didn't happen either.  Just a Like symbol was there (as in Facebook).

Problem sending photos via email since I recently updated to iLife 11.
Which MacOS X version are you using and which iPhoto version?
If you are using Yosemite and have enabled up two-step verification for iCloud?  Then you may need to create an application specific password for iPhoto.  See this discussion:  Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)Re: Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)  Unable to send photo through email using iphoto theme (designs)

  • Problem sending photos via email since I recently updated to iLife 11.

Having problem sending photos by Email since I upgraded to iLife11.
I followed the instructions.   I used to just select my photos and then a screen would come up to compose an email.
Now it comes up with templates and I had to set up what account to send them from.  No matter what I do, it just
    never goes thru.
    What's the solution?

Set Mail as your preferred email client in the iPhoto Preferences -> General

  • Sending photos from iphone, email bounces every time.

When I got iLife 08 last week and published my gallery, everything worked fine including sending photos from my iPhone, and they would show up on my gallery. For the last two days when I tried to send a new photo from my iPhone to my web gallery I get an email that bounces back and says...
    "...Relaying denied, try authenticating"
All other mail sends fine, but from my iPhone sending directly to my webgallery it won't work. How might I fix this?
    Thank you.

I've come across with the same problem. It worked up until the last two days. Now when I try to send an email to my web gallery to update a photo from my iPhone I also get an email bouncing back saying "...relaying denied, try authenticating..."
I made no changes to my web gallery prior to this happening.
I deleted the existing gallery and created a new gallery. I get the same response when trying to upload an email from my iPhone.

  • Sudden Problem Sending Photos by Email

    Hi,
After being able to successfully send photos from my iPhone by email ever since I got it, I suddenly have a problem. The recipient does not receive the photo - only a small blue box with a question mark in it. The copy of the email in my Sent folder looks the same.
I've tried a reset and, for info, I use BT Yahoo for email.
Have hunted high and low for reference to this and only found one post but there was no real explanation or resolution.
Any help or advice gratefully received. Cheers!

  • How Do I Send Photos From  My IPAD to Someone Else With I PAD or Computer ?

How Do I send Photos from my IPad to another IPAD or internet ?

You can select up to 5 photos in the Photos app and send them as attachments in an email. There are also apps like Simple Transfer that allow you to transfer photos to your computer or another iOS device that is on your wifi network. There are also apps that allow you to upload photos to Facebook, Flickr etc, and I believe that the iCab browser allows uploading to some sites.
