Problems signing into the Store

I have a problem signing in on my C5-03. When I want to sync with OVI (menu-applications-tools-ovi sync) my device asks for username. I enter my e-mail, which I use to enter Ovi on my PC, but the answer is that the username is not allowed to have numbers and symbols. I can without problem sync my contacts manually.
I have tried "forgot password" to find my username in the e-mail sent to me, but there is only refered to my e-mail adress.
Hope there is an answer to this.

I am having the same problem in maps.  I have a hotmail email account for my account and Maps will not except that as a valid username.  I do not think that I have another username and have no idea how to find out.

When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID.  How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password???  I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id.  I am not signed into ITunes, the store on the ipad, or icloud under her name.  WIERD???

There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

I somehow...fixed it by checking to see if they're were any errors
in the .dll files. It must've updated something somehow. Because when
I went back to sign in at the store. It worked....Weird huh...
I hope it's that easy next time.

  • Problems signing into the Mac App Store?

The App Store shows I have 2 updates to software that I recently purchased (Final Cut Pro and Motion).  When I click on the updates I am prompted to sign in... when I enter my login information I keep getting the error message - "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13)"
    Any suggestions?

If you have FruitMenu installed, here is a workaround: First, put your Apple ID into the clipboard (by typing it into any text field and using the Copy command). Second, in the "Enter password" window, triple-click on the Apple ID field, which should open a menu that allows you to Paste in your Apple ID from the clipboard. Now, put your Password into the clipboard, triple-click on the Password field and Paste your Password into the field. You should then be able to Sign In.

  • Problems signing into itunes store account from windows vista

I have recently downloaded the latest version of itunes for a new computer running Windows Vista. I already have an apple ID account to use with the store and have been able to access this on other computers, but every time I try to sign in on the new computer it has an error message that the "network connection has timed out". I have searched for help for this, which appears to be a common issue, and all the recommended solutions like checking firewall settings have not helped as I am still unable to sign in. My internet connection is fine, and I am able to access the store itself, just not my account.
If anyone could help with this problem I would be very grateful.

Excellent. If you ever want to uninstall that trial Norton, keep in mind that you need a special removal tool from Symantec. Simply uninstalling it via Add/Remove Programs does NOT delete it from your PC. It really is horrible software.

  • I am having problems signing into the network at my school. The PC laptops work but Macs show the fact that the network is being upgraded but the district office insists it isn't.

I can connect to the guest network on my Mac but when I open Firefox, the main authentication page where I type in the user name and password states that the network is being upgraded and will not be available for use. The main district office technician says the network should be fine and can connect with his windows laptop just fine. Are there some things i need to change in the Firefox preferences that would fix this problem for my Mac?

A PC can have more issues connecting than a Mac.
But it really should not matter.. so just try it in situ.. press and hold the reset.. once it starts up, it will return to default IP, 10.0.1.1 the PC should then be able to find it via the airport utility.
If not drag it over to the Mac and plug in there by ethernet.. or since it is a laptop, really should not be that difficult to drag the Laptop and plug it into the TC.
Important thing is to get access to the TC.
The Mac if it is running lion, then you MUST download and install 5.6 airport utility to do anything useful.

  • Problem signing into the support community

I am posting this question on behalf of my wife.  She can sign in to the community to the point where her Apple ID and password are accepted, but can get no further.  She enters the community username she has used before, but a box comes up saying that her Apple ID is taken already.  It is, by her, she has had this apple ID for years.  She has tried changing her password but to no avail.  She cannot get into the support community.  I hope someone can help. PLEASE.

Well, not to worry.   Though it is a curiosity.   Usually when you click on your own (husband's) question and scroll down the page underneath each answer will be the available stars to award.  You just click on the star.   Whether your husband has to do it as he started the thread, I don't know.
But as I said, I'm happy to have helped, and you are happy with the outcome.

  • I can't seem to sign into the store on my iPod and can't do anything with my account at all for iTunes

Since this morning ive been having a rough go with my iPod. The e-mail aspect of it wasn't working correctly, and still isnt. It takes a long time for it to load. Then a friend tried to message my iMessage and instead of coming to my iPod it went to my e-mail. So I decided to try and restart my iPod. That didnt help. So i went into my settings and signed out of my account and now I can't sign back in. Once again. Did not help. So I got on my computer and Thought I'd sync my iPod to my iTunes it did its normal sync routine. Didn't help. Then I tried Viewing my account on iTunes and it won't let me, I dare not sign out of my account on iTunes in case the same thing happen. It takes long to access and then tells me it has timed out. And now my iPod is having troubles with my e-mail again and told me it couldn't load my yahoo when I know it can. I'm not sure what else to do or if maybe this is an Apple update thing but it's starting to get rather annoying. I've tried everything I can think of, maybe someone can help. If you know anything about this please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

It means what the message says. The format of the song can't be converted to a format compatible with the iPod.
    Does it play in iTunes?
Where id the song come form?
Try deleting and reimporting into iTunes.

  • Problems signing into apps store

Alll the areas are filled but it keeps asking to complete entire form, no area is highlighted to fill nor are there any empty fields

    Try resetting the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    Then restart the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
You won't lose any data, apps, photos, etc., as the result of a "reset".

  • Can't sign into iTunes Store since upgrading to 10.6.0.40 on Windows 7.

The iTunes 10.6.0.40 upgrade will not allow me to sign into the iTunes Store on my Windows 7 laptop.  I did a uninstall and reinstall following the technote titled "Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7" from the Apple support site.  On my home desktop still running 10.5 I believe, I have no problem signning into the store.  Any suggestions anyone?

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, sign-in and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • Why can't I sign into the iTunes store?

I've been trying to sign into the iTunes store for months now. Since v10 released, I have been unable to sign into the store, use Genius or any other feature that requires an active store use.
I can sign in here (obviously) but when I try to sign in IN iTunes, it trys for about 30 seconds, pulls up the review dialogue and then goes back to asking me to sign in before I can review my information.
Sometimes it pulls up a Welcome page that looks like it's all text without any of the formatting or bells and whistles.
The fact that this has been going on so long, that I've found LOTS of other users with the same problems and that there is no fix for it annoys me to no end.
Has anyone, anywhere found a fix or heard anything about this problem being patched? Should I try reverting back to 9.x version of iTunes?

Try refer to this article to delete SC Info.sidb file:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2363
    Then repair your QuickTime:
    START/CONTROL PANEL/PROGs n FEATURES/highlight QUICKTIME n click REPAIR

  • HT203163 Every time I try to load an CD into the library it just creates more repeat tracks to tracks 01 - 1? and when I click on the track to get the name or album artwork iTunes tells me to log into the store and I do but it  doesn't seem to go anywhere

Anyone have an idea as to why when I try to Import one of my CDs tiTunes just makes a track out of each song and doesnt name the track or the album.  This creates a problem when I want to load all of my albums/CDs into iTunes to transfer to my iPod Nano.

When a CD shows up in iTunes (before importing), iTunes should ask Gracenote for information about the album and fill all that in for you. It sounds as though that's not happening.
Check Edit/Preferences/General>when you import a CD: and make sure there is a tick-in-the-box named Automatically retrieve track names from the internet. If that is already selected, then you need to check that your iTunes can connect to the internet when you insert the CD into the drive.
You do not need to sign into the Store for this to happen. To get the artwork for your CDs, just search for the album online and copy-and-paste the picture into the album once it's in your iTunes Library.

  • Why im i getting "an unknown error has occurred" message when i sign into the app store

Im getting "an unknown error has occurred" message when i sign into the app store. I don't have a problem signing into anything else. What could the problem be?

Were you able to find a solution to this issue? I am also getting the 'an error has occurred' message when trying to download or update any apps on my iPhone. Restarted, updated, re-booted, etc etc, nothing has worked.
